I am so sick and tired of people modifying my work– my Dick/Babs work in particular, since it’s mainly those ones that keep getting vandalized. I mean look at this:
This Nightwing Facebook page thinks it’s okay to change Barbara’s (and dear God, Dina’s too) hair colour so that it fits their Dick/Harley scenarios. I have never had anything against Roleplayers– they’re amazing, awesome people and I’m proud to call a few my friends. But I am disgustedin those who edit someone’s work to suit their RP needs. The artwork was not made for you, and unless the artist gave you permission, you DO NOT have the right to change someone’s art like that. And it’s worse enough that you haven’t included any credits whatsoever. I don’t care if there’s not enough fanart for your pairing, or that you don’t believe that you have the ‘artistic skills’ to make your own. You DO NOT take someone’s work– work of a pairing that’s NOT YOURS and CHANGE IT SO IT BECOMES YOUR PAIRING.
And I’d also like to say– STOP DISRESPECTING BARBARA GORDON. SHE IS NOT A 'MOULD’ FOR OTHER FEMALE CHARACTERS THAT YOU SHIP DICK GRAYSON WITH. I DID NOT DRAW HER FOR YOU TO CHANGE HER. I DREW HER AS BARBARA GORDON.SO BARBARA GORDON SHE SHALL REMAIN. IF YOU DON’T RESPECT THAT, THEN DON’T LET THE DOOR HIT YOUR ASS ON THE WAY OUT.
I’m sorry, initially I wanted to be nice, polite and somewhat professional about this. But this isn’t the first time that this has happened and I feel exhausted, deeply offended, angry and I feel discouraged to draw. Art is such a huge part of my life, and it’s probably my biggest passion and my greatest strength. And when someone does something like this, it hits me on an emotional level. It makes me not want to continue what I love doing most because what’s the point in creating something if someone’s going to take it, ruin it and kick you in the heart?
I’ve written to this person, and haven’t heard from them yet. I hope they listen to me and remove my things from their page. And if they don’t, please help me bring justice to this issue by reporting their page. If you see anyone editing any artist’s work, I hope you’ll do the same.
in the video you see ryan pull out a cellphone and throw it, he says on his instagram story that he was supposed to then pick it up after and see missed calls from stephanie brownbut they didn’t have time
what the hell is this “we have no more stories for her” bullshit that writers are giving when they’re asked to explain why they kill/write off female characters with so much potential like excuse me they have plenty more stories to tell let me fucking show you myself

It’s come to my attention that Tumblr userpanicattheromance has used my art in this video edit without my permission and without crediting me. This isn’t the first time they’ve done this with other people’s art, they’ve made multiple vine videos of this kind. I’ve sent multiple messages asking them to take the video down or even keep it up if they choose to include credit in the description but they have chosen to ignore my messages and block me instead.
I’ve said it so many times before and I’m not afraid to say it again: reposting without permission and choosing not to source the artist is rude, offensive and disrespectful. You fail to acknowledge the person who put hard work and effort into the artwork you’ve reposted and by doing this you’re mistreating them and their work.
