not-exactly-my-favourite-book-but-one-of-them

I just came back from a couple of months away and have just discovered that there has been a BBC adaptation of my favourite book in the whole world, Jonathan strange and mr Norrell… And it’s fucking FANTASTIC. Literally one of the best series ever, they didnt fuck up anything, and the characters are exactly as i imagined them in my head years ago (except Childermass and mr Segundus are at least 3x as hot i mean HELLO YASS). Oh my god i cant even handle how awesome this is. Someone talk english magic to me

Hi there, I would like to read some Faulkner and Wallace. Which books from them do you suggest I start with?

Hello, I haven’t read anything by Wallace, so I can’t help you with that. (Maybe some of my followers can?)

As for Faulkner, The Sound and The Fury is my favourite book, and I recommend you start with that one. It does seem a bit challenging, but it’s not that scary, and it’s a masterpiece. If you want to start with something that’s a bit easier to follow, As I Lay Dying is a great book as well. Unfortunately, I haven’t read anything else by Faulkner, except for some short stories (which isn’t my favourite literary form, so I can’t tell you much about them) and half of Sanctuary (which wasn’t exactly my cup of tea). His other notable works that I look forward to reading include Light in August and Absalom, Absalom!, so there’s that.

I was binge watching your Vlogmas videos 😂 and in one of them you said you were reading babe walkers book but you said you usually like to read more insightful books. I'm exactly the same and I know what you mean by just having a more chilled read 😝 Can you list your some of your like top 10 favourites books? I want like a big list I can just work my way through 👌 would you mind? 🙏

I don’t really have a list as I haven’t been reading for ages coz in year 12 I had to read so many for english and after that I just didn’t have time but I’ll definitely get back into it and get back to you ☺️

SP 30 Day Challenge - Day 5

Day 5 : Favourite fight scene

TANITH AND THE WHITE CLEAVER

I can’t remember exactly how many fight scenes there are with those two; I know there’s one in the first and last books, but I swear there are others as well but/??? can’t remember them all

My favourite of all of them has to be in The Dying of the Light. reasons.

  1. they be naked
  2. tanith says that awesome thing which has to be one of my favourite SP quotes ever “I suppose it’s fitting that it comes down to you and me, after all this time. Sometimes I feel like I should have died that day we fought in the Dublin Sanctuary. I think that blade of yours was meant to kill me six years ago. Now, maybe Fate was looking the other way, or maybe it just changed its mind, but I survived. I always survive. And I always will.”
  3. LIKE JESUS F CKING CHRIST???
  4. SHE’S SO EPIC I LOV E HER SO MCUH
  5. no but really they’re naked
  6. tanith fights nAKED
  7. and BEATS HIM
