not-a-real-thing-anybody-ever-said

“Disregard canon and acquire representation” is probably one of the stupidest fucking things I have ever heard on this website.

Anybody who says that clearly has a problem with enjoying a product for what it is and instead they make up their own bullshit because “muh representation and muh POC’s”.

I’m Arab and like I’ve said multiple times before I don’t give two flying fucks about media representation because there are a shit ton of real world issues I’d rather deal with than complain about something having “Too much white people”.

Most if not all my favorite movies, tv shows, comics and games are about non Arab characters and you know what? I’m totally fine with that because I can actually appreciate a good story instead of just constantly complaining about petty shit.

You want representation? Make your own damn stories with your own original characters instead of constantly complaining about existing ones.

This is gonna be the weirdest thing I’ve ever said probably, but listening to Hamilton and In The Heights, I see a lot of parallels between Alexander Hamilton and Usnavi?? And like I understand that Usnavi is a fictional character who was written years before Lin Manuel-Miranda wrote about Hamilton, a real person who actually existed, but there are so many similarities between them? Is that strange? Does anybody else see it?
