Closet Softie

Or, How Bucky Barnes Nearly Ruined His Tough-Guy Rep

(On AO3)

The trail mix was gone.

The nice, expensive trail mix, with twelve kinds of nuts and the big sunflower seeds and dried fruits, the kind Tony only rarely left sitting on the common floors for everyone to get at, was gone.

Clint had been looking forward to that stuff all morning

All the way through a hellish morning “jog” with Steve, all through Nat handing him his ass on the training mats, all through firing the same batch of misweighted arrows over and over so Tony could take scans and fix the design, he’d been thinking, when this is done I get to go upstairs and hang out on the couch and watch Dog Cops and eat the good trail mix, guilt-free.

And it was gone.

Clint was gonna shoot somebody.

Just as soon as he figured out who’d taken the trail mix.

yesterday i saw a sad duck in the park who kept getting picked on by the other ducks so today i brought some trail mix and we had a nice lunch together. also i think he might be the duck who pooped on sam last week. if so, he is officially my new best friend.

Knuckles : Boxer!Ashton (Part 2)

sorry it took so long! special thank u to Ashley (@thesaltyspice) for helping me come up with ideas for this a million years ago xx

Part One | Part Two | Part Three

“Look at that one.”

“That one over there?”

“Yeah,” you confirm with a pout. “I want it.”

Ashton chuckles and looks to you at his side. “That’s the fourth dog you’ve said you wanted since we got here.”

It’s true, but you can’t help it. You always get dog-envy at the farmers’ market, exposed to too many cute pups at once for your little heart to handle.

“We should get one,” you say passively, adoring a large german shepherd trotting by with its owner. “Y'know, if we ever live together.”

Ashton smirks, turning his head. “I love how you’re not even worried about scaring me with plans for the future.”

Your cheeks redden, having not noticed the implications when you said it. It’s only been three months since the fight that started it all, since you and Ashton agreed to give your relationship a title, and you suppose you should be more careful about vocalizing your whimsical thoughts. Your guard just naturally falls around him, the pressure to play safe wiped away by his equal and obvious feelings toward you. Talk of commitment doesn’t affect him the way it does most people. If Ashton was going to run, he would’ve done so by now.

You glance down at his fingers between yours, smiling because you don’t think he’s let go of your hand all day. With his hectic training schedule for another upcoming fight and your demanding attendance at university four days a week, the two of you have recently been missing each other more than actually seeing each other, and it appears Ashton wants to make up for lost time in the form of suffocating your palm–not that you mind. For someone whose fists can be classified as lethal weapons, he has quite a gentle grip when it comes to you.

Sweet Punishment (M)

Im Jaebum | JB (Got7) x Reader

Word Count: 5845

Genre: Smut [DaddyDom/Submissive Relationship]

“Are you serious?” Jaebum asked incredulously, eyes wide.

“Yes, I am,” You responded confidently, “and you are not going to do anything about it. Are you, Daddy?”

The car was heavy with tension as you sat a red light, the clock nearing midnight, and you felt as though your body was buzzing with electricity. Jaebum’s presence felt heavy and suffocating next to you. All you wanted to do was reach across the center console and make contact with any open skin you could get your fingers on. You needed to feel him, and if you didn’t soon you were sure you would combust. But, with the way you acted at dinner you knew better than to touch him. You were “in trouble” as he put it. You scoffed at the thought.

“What is so funny over there?” Jaebum asked, turning his head for you for a second before returning his eyes to the road.

“Oh, nothing is funny over here,” You replied.

He’d been ignoring you for weeks, he didn’t answer the phone, he stopped hanging around all the places he knew you’d be. He just stopped being in your life, it was almost as if he never even existed in your life and you were sick of it.

He’d been your best friend for years and you’d be damned if you just let him walk away that easily… and that’s precisely what you were doing here at this exact moment. Out the front of his door that you had to climb two flights of stairs to get to.

You knuckles rattled gently against the wooden frame, your heart thumped rhythmically in your chest as you waited for him to answer the door. You had been waiting for so damn long.

“I’m ‘comin, I’m ‘comin.” You could hear Dally mutter, he definitely wasn’t expecting you to be standing outside his door.

“Y/N.” His voice was stiff, forced and angry, he didn’t want you here. “What’re ya doing here, huh kid?”

He only called you kid when he was angry at you, when you had done something wrong… and you searched your mind, trying to figure out just what that could be. What line did you cross?

“Looking for you.” You said it with a simple tone, your shoulders shrugged and you looked at him as if this wasn’t a big deal to you, but your charade was crumbling with every passing second.

“So, you found me?” He shut the door behind you, he was shirtless, his jeans hung lowly on his hips as he searched through the wreckage of his room for a clean shirt.

“Where have you been?”

“Around.” He was snappy. “What’s it matter to you, kid? You ain’t my girl. You’re not my mother, not that she gives a hang about me, none.”

“I care about you.” You sat on the edge of his bed, trying to find a single shred of the Dallas Winston you knew, and not the hood that the neighbourhood had notoriously branded him for.

“Well good for you, Doll, now get out of here. I got a hot date tonight.”

A date. A girl. You wondered to yourself who that might be. And what she had that you didn’t. You were never his girl, but you were comfortable being his best friend. You were comfortable being the sisterly figure in his life; but now it seemed that you weren’t anything to him.

“A date?” You questioned, you forced a smile to burden your lips with untruthful feelings. “Oh that’s great, Dal. Can I see you afterwards?”

“I’m busy, now get out of here.” He grabbed you by the arm as gently as he could muster so he could show you the way out, even though you both knew you knew your way around this place.

He opened the door and to your horror, you realized that you were crying. Tears were welling up in your eyes, and they fell one by one and they began to slide down your face like tiny rivulets.

You stopped him by placing a hand on his chest, you looked him in the eyes and you spoke.

“Why don’t you love me?” You pursed your lips together so that they would stop shaking. “You did before, I know you did… and now you can’t even stand to be around me. What did I do? I can fix it.”

The truth is, he had been in your life so long that you didn’t know who you were without him.

“What?” Dallas muttered, he looked down at you with disgust. “Y/N, you know I don’t love no o-”

“Bullshit, Dallas, Bullshit” You pushed him back against the wall as roughly as you could. “You loved me. And you left me behind”

He didn’t say a word, he just stared at you… he stared at your chest heaving up and down, and the tears falling from your eyes. He silently wondered to himself what he had done to you. He didn’t think you’d react this way.

“I should go.” You couldn’t stand him just staring at you. Did he even care? “I shouldn’t have came here.”

“Wait” Before you could even cross the threshold his arms were wrapped around you. “Don’t go.”

“You don’t love me… you don’t want me.” You tried to push yourself out of his arms, you needed to leave. You could feel yourself breaking underneath his finger tips. “You left me for some broad that doesn’t give a shit about you.”

“That’s not true. I love you, okay?” You looked at him, almost expecting him to laugh in your face and push you out the door. “You’re my best friend and I love you. I never left you for some chick.”

“Then why?”

“Because, Y/N, you’re so good. You’re so pure. You’re everything I’m not. I’m bad for you. You need someone in your life that is like you, someone who can make you happy.”

“You make me happy. Please don’t leave me.”

“Okay.” He said simply.

Giving him a half-distracted smile, you mumbled a greeting while he just looked at you, shaking his head.

“Do I even want to know?”

Despite yourself, you laughed.

“Probably not.”

Sam titled his head to the left and shot you a perplexed look, his eyes appraising you.

“What happened?”

“Let’s just say that your mum probably isn’t fond of me right now.”

Sam sighed and brought the green bottle to his lips, drinking.

“You’re right. I don’t want to know.” He told you when he was done and you nodded and leaned against the table.

“Is Dean still in his room?”

“Can I…”

“Yeah. Absolutely. Go.” He agreed, nodding. When you were ready to leave, he grabbed your hand in his huge one and squeezed it. “And thank you. For standing up for us…”

This is a request submitted forever ago. Sorry, it took me so long to write it. The anon requested an ‘angst scenario where the reader was afraid of love and relationships.’  This is part one of two.

Yoongi’s POV

Yoongi’s favorite part of the day was the end of the day. When he could finally come home and sleep. Today had been especially annoying, and he was more than happy it was over. He was already stripping off his uncomfortable clothes and getting into sweats and a tee.

He was about to throw himself onto his bed to sleep, but he couldn’t ignore the grumbling noises that came from his stomach. Hesitantly he grabbed his phone ready to order something. Out of habit, he left his room languidly making his way to Jin’s room. Yoongi always out of politeness would ask his older roommate if he wanted anything to eat if he was ordering something.

Without even thinking Yoongi twisted the doorknob to Jin’s room, pushing it open to reveal you. You were half naked, bending over to retrieve your bra off the floor. When you noticed Yoongi’s presence, you quickly stood up straight. You cocked your head to the side and smiled at him.

Yoongi stood there frozen. He had expected you to automatically cover yourself and scream. Like most girls would if they were walked in on getting changed. Yoongi was caught off by your behavior, and how you stood there on full display for him. He should’ve closed his eyes right away and backed out of the room. But you were too tempting.

He couldn’t help it when his eyes wandered down to your chest. Yoongi could feel his cock twitch at the sight. The swell of your breast adorned with purplish pink marks, a few that seemed to maybe be bite marks as well.

Yoongi was quickly brought out of his trance when Jin yelled out for you from the bathroom. All he could do was squeeze his eyes shut and back out of the room. Heat grew on his face and the tops of Yoongi’s ears started to turn bright red. He was beyond embarrassed at what had just happened. It was one thing to walk in on you like that, but another that he stood there so shamelessly gawking at your body.

There were not many secrets between you and Shawn. He knew about the time you threw up in front of your entire second-grade class during a field trip, you found out about all the drama with his friends from school, and you had shared - in length - the most awkward highlights of your terrible first kiss behind the bleachers in middle school.

And somehow, even after all the confessions and conversations a two-year relationship entailed, you were still discovering new sides to the floppy-haired boy that first shyly approached you at a mutual friend’s party two years ago.

anonymous asked:

You go on holiday abroad with all the members as friends for a vacation and photoshoots and fall in love with a member fluff plz

so I went with Wonwoo! ♥ lmao I didn’t feel like/didn’t want to specify where exactly this “abroad” is, so you can use your imagination, but fairly close to Korea either way.

When you had first head of the opportunity to join Seventeen on their trip abroad for a vacation that also included some photoshoots for their next album, you didn’t even have to think about your answer.

A trip with thirteen of your best friends? No one would be able to keep you from going.

The preparations were exciting, with your group chat being filled with “What are you taking with you?” and “Can you believe we’re leaving in two days?” instead of the usual bantering. Naturally that didn’t exactly disappear, either, but it was obviously overshadowed by the excitement for the trip.

When the day of the flight finally came, you met up with the boys and some of their staff members at the airport - you didn’t even have to ask them where they were, because if the familiar, bright hair of Joshua, Jihoon or Minghao didn’t catch your attention, the noisiness sure did.

“Geez, you’re attracting everyone’s attention,” you said while laughing when you reached the boys, who just laughed at you, and some of them gave you quick, excited hugs. “If I didn’t know better, I’d guess this was your first trip overseas.”

“It’s as exciting every time as it was the first, you know,” Soonyoung said with a grin, and all the others agreed. You shrugged with a bright smile taking over your features.

“I guess that’s understandable,” you replied and looked around. “Are we going to check in soon?”

Vernon hummed to Check-In quietly while fiddling with his phone and Seungcheol joined him (you could barely stop yourself from joining in, too), whereas Seungkwan exchanged a few words with the staff members and turned to you. “We should move there now, yeah.”

So you did, and an hour or so later you were all boarding the plane, looking for your seats and putting your hand luggage up to the overhead locker with casual chattering, now noticeably quieter than at the airport. The flight wouldn’t be longer than four or five hours, you could recall, and you found yourself seated between Wonwoo and Jeonghan.

For most of the flight, you listened to music and stole glances at the book Wonwoo was reading. Jeonghan, on the other hand, was dozing off for… well, pretty much the whole flight, with his jacket spread over himself and his eye mask making sure he wasn’t disturbed by light. You looked at him every now and then, only to smile when you noticed that he was still sleeping.

When Wonwoo got a small box of candy from his pocket, he nudged you lightly and gave you a small smile when you took one of your earphones off and turned to look at him curiously. “Do you want some?”

“Oh, sure,” you said, still surprised, and stuck your hand forward so that Wonwoo could give you some of the candy. It wasn’t particularly sweet, but tasted good nevertheless. You smiled at him. “Thanks.”

He shook his head, his nose crinkling a little with the wideness of his smile, and put the box back into his pocket before returning to the book he was reading.

“I could’ve taken some, too,” Seungkwan muttered from his seat on the other side of the aisle, and got a chuckle from Wonwoo.

“I might give you some later if you behave well,” he said amusedly, and Seungkwan squinted almost dramatically.

“What do you mean ‘behave well’?” the younger one asked and leaned closer, only to get a quirked eyebrow from Wonwoo.

“You’ll see.”

The plane landed on time, and after you had all gotten your luggage, you moved to a bus that had been reserved for you well beforehand in order for you to get to the hotel. During the journey, Chan excitedly told you about his list of things he wanted to do during the trip, with Minghao occasionally commenting “I want to do that, too” and Seungcheol chipping in with a realistic “Remember that there might not be enough time for all of that.”

Chan nodded, and while he was still smiling brightly, it was obvious that he hadn’t taken into account how much time doing everything on the list would take. His voice was a mere mumble when he eyed his list. “I’ll have to choose the most important ones, then…”

The hotel was admittedly more extravagant than you had expected it to. It wasn’t quite a 5-star one, but it was so much more than you had imagined. Even the members were all in awe when you entered the lobby with your suitcases, meanwhile the staff members had content smiles on their faces - after all, they had known exactly what kind of a place they were headed to.

“This place looks really expensive,” you muttered, still incredibly amazed, and got agreeing hums from the members.

Mingyu whistled quietly. “Gotta be careful here, huh.”

The members laughed, but with how grand their surroundings were, the laughter wasn’t quite as explosive as it normally was. You got to the reception, where you were given your keys - and told that you and Wonwoo would be sharing a room.

“That’s gotta be a mistake,” you said, stunned, and looked at the details on the screen. The receptionist smiled politely.

“As you can see, it is not,” they said and showed the computer screen to you and the others. Wonwoo nodded slowly while you continued staring at the screen in disbelief.

“Well… it should be fine, right? It’s a twin room, anyway, and not a double,” he said calmly. Some of the other members were almost grinning at the situation, and you turned to face Wonwoo slowly.

“Are you sure? It won’t be weird or anything?” you asked unsurely and accepted your key from the receptionist with a quick “Thank you”, still looking at Wonwoo. He nodded.

“We’re friends, it shouldn’t be weird,” he said, and gave you a small smile. “Now come on and let’s let Seungkwan and Vernon get their key.”

“Those two should not be roomed together,” Joshua mumbled to himself, and you raised your eyebrow. He chuckled. “After Soonyoung and Seokmin, they’re the pair to get the most notifications about loud noise. It’s like they lose track of time.”

You nodded while laughing and looking at the two getting their key, who were glaring at Joshua. “We’re not that bad.”

“Y/N can be the judge of that, considering your room is next to ours,” Wonwoo said with a chuckle, and you grinned at Seungkwan and Vernon.

“You have a week to show that you’re not that bad,” you laughed, to which Seungkwan declared that the challenge had been accepted.

Little by little you began moving to your rooms, and Wonwoo let you into yours as well. The room, while simple, was also more sizeable than you had expected. Again, it wasn’t very big, but you had more room than you would’ve at a cheaper hotel.

“Your agency’s really overdone itself this time,” you said with a quiet chuckle as you got into the room and sat on one of the beds, pleasantly soft yet not too much so. Wonwoo shut the door and nodded with a small smile.

“I don’t think any of us were expecting this,” he admitted, and sat on the other bed. He sighed quietly. “I’m a bit tired.”

“I feel you,” you said and let out a yawn while looking at the clock on the wall. “It’s 10pm… you think we could sneak out of the group dinner and just grab something small from the store downstairs?”

Wonwoo grinned widely at your suggestion. “Leave it to me to talk us out of it.”

He left the room soon, and you lay down on the bed with your phone. Ten minutes or so later he returned, at first with a straight face, but it soon changed into a smile. “No group dinner for us, the manager was really understanding.”

“Yes!” you exclaimed in joy and got up from the bed in an instant, while Wonwoo laughed at you from the door. “So, snacks when they’ve left?”

And Wonwoo nodded.

When the others were leaving, Seungcheol still dropped by the door to make sure the two of you absolutely didn’t have the energy to come, and with how tired you were, it wasn’t a difficult task to show him just how awfully tired you were. So, the others left, and you and Wonwoo were free to go to the store downstairs to buy snacks and whatever nice you could find that would suppress your hunger enough.

And soon you were sitting on the bed Wonwoo had claimed, both dressed in your sleepwear and with a big bag of snacks and food between you.

“This was a great idea,” you said between bites of the bagel you had bought, and Wonwoo chuckled quietly while picking up another dried mango.

“It really was,” he said, his voice so soft that you couldn’t help but notice it. You moved your eyes from the food to him, and tilted your head a little, taking in how happy Wonwoo looked.

Then it hit you: during the time you had known Seventeen, you had not once been alone with Wonwoo the way you were now. And it was enjoyable, much more so than you could’ve imagined.

A small smile spread to your lips as you took another bite of your bagel.

You didn’t manage to finish all of the food, but neither of you minded: you just agreed that you could snack on it in the morning if you felt like it.

It was a bit after midnight that the two of you were finally getting your blankets over yourselves and reaching for the lights on the wall. Happy smiles played on both of your lips when you said “Good night” in unison.

The week-long vacation proved out to be a lot more eventful than you had expected. You joined Seventeen on their photoshoots, ate meals with them and had an amazing time with all of your friends, but there was something - someone - that made you feel just a bit more excited than anything else.

Jeon Wonwoo.

It was like sharing a room with him had made you see him in a new light or something, even though he hadn’t really done anything out of the ordinary. He had simply been himself - his friendly, sweet, attractive self - and that was enough to give your heart some extra beats and make your cheeks gain color more often than usual.

On the fourth day of the trip, you were walking along a market street in the evening, and Wonwoo joined you out of the blue.

“What’s up?” he asked, his voice as low and husky as it always was, and you gave him a smile.

“I’m thinking about what to buy for my family,” you replied and looked at the booths around you, filled with small accessories, food and whatever you could think of. Wonwoo hummed in understanding with a soft smile spreading to his lips.

“Souvenirs, huh,” he noted, and you nodded. When he wrapped his arm around you, you couldn’t help but yelp - and blush when Wonwoo laughed. “Sorry.”

“It’s fine,” you said quickly and tried to tell your heart to just beat a little slower, which it naturally did not do. Instead, it continued the rapid hammering inside of your chest for a good while, and Wonwoo pulling you closer to himself didn’t really help it.

Eventually you managed to finally find something to your family, and it seemed like most of the others did, too. Or so you easily concluded from Seungkwan excitedly saying “I’m sure mom will like this,” and Mingyu running to you from a store, holding a small bag while yelling “Guys! I finally found something for my sister!”

You had dinner, and towards the end of the evening you and Wonwoo retreated to your room like you did every evening. You let out a sigh as you put your things down and got on the bed, lying down immediately - you were exhausted.

Wonwoo chuckled. “Are you not used to that much walking?”

You clicked your tongue and propped yourself up on your elbows. “Not so much the walking, but the fact that it’s almost 11pm and we left the hotel at 9 in the morning.”

“True,” he hummed and put his bags down, only keeping one on his lap as he dug through it. You lay down again and let out a long yawn. When he had found what he had been looking for, Wonwoo smiled to himself and stood up, moving to sit on the edge of your bed.

Your breath nearly hitched in your throat when Wonwoo reached for your hand and placed something on it. “I thought you’d like this.”

You sat up, and before looking at what was on your hand, you took a good look at Wonwoo, who was almost avoiding your gaze and whose cheeks were noticeably more colored than they were when you had gotten into the room, and you were certain it wasn’t just the fatigue.

When you looked at your palm, you were met with a beautiful, simple silver-colored bracelet. Your heart felt warm at the small heart-shaped details on it that you couldn’t see unless you got it really close to your eye. “You really didn’t have to.”

Wonwoo shook his head. “But I wanted to. I wanted to get you something nice, so I did.”

“Thank you,” you said softly and moved to sit next to Wonwoo on the edge of your bed, smiling. “I really like it. I’m sorry that I don’t have anything for you.”

“It’s fine,” he said with a soft chuckle. “I didn’t buy you that expecting to get anything in exchange, so don’t worry.”

You nodded slowly and leaned your head against Wonwoo’s shoulder. He hummed questioningly.

“Why do you have to be so nice?” you asked in a whisper, and Wonwoo chuckled as he leaned his head against yours.

“What do you mean?” he asked amusedly. You sighed.

“You’re just… I don’t even know how to describe it,” you said with a pout, and slowly lifted your face. Wonwoo looked down at you as well as he could from the odd angle before laughing and pulling a bit further away. You stared into his eyes, your heart fluttering because of the intense, deep gaze in them. “You have me weak.”

Wonwoo was silent for a while. He let your words sink in one by one, and eventually he gave you a warm smile while his hand found yours to hold. “I could say the same. For some reason you give me this fuzzy feeling even when you’ve just gotten out of bed with your hair pointing in all directions.”

You snorted at his comment, despite the rapid beating of your heart. “You make me feel that way even when you’ve got your hair up with a hair band and a face mask covering your face.”

He laughed and squeezed your hand. “You beat me.”

Another short moment of silence fell over you, and at the end of it you got yourself under Wonwoo’s right arm so that you could hug him while sitting next to him, and he wrapped his arm around you.

“So it’s okay if I kinda… think I might be falling for you? Like, it’s okay to say it?” you asked bluntly, your voice a bit shaky, and listened to Wonwoo’s heartbeat. It was amazing how it was about as quick as yours was.

Without giving it much thought, Wonwoo gave you a small peck on the top of your head. “It’s definitely okay, and I hope it’s okay for me to say that, too.”

You were about to answer him, and okay, maybe you were also about to give him a quick peck on his cheek, but either way, you were interrupted by a loud noise from the room next to yours, which effectively killed the mood.

“…I think I won the bet,” you said with a giggle, and Wonwoo nodded with an amused smile on his lips, too, while the noise kept going on. Seungkwan and Vernon were playing music that they sang loudly on top of, and by the sounds of it, they were probably also dancing, and definitely not in one place.

“You also lost one.” You looked at Wonwoo with a dumbfound expression, and he grinned so that his nose crinkled - your heart skipped a beat. “Remember a few years ago when you and Seungcheol had the debate on whether you’d be able to be friends with us for five years without falling for any of us, and you said you’d be able to go on for ten years without that? Well, look at you now.”

You blushed and pursed your lips. “…If we ever become, you know, more, do you think we could keep this lowkey for, let’s say, seven years?”

Wonwoo snorted. “No chance.”

“Lin, how do you spell disseminate?” your voice echoed in his messy living room, his answer coming almost automatically.

“Why do you need to know this word anyway?” You looked up from your laptop, watching his efforts while writing in a notebook on his desk.

“Fancy words make me look smart,” you shrugged.

“You are smart.”

“They don’t know that.”

“Hey, um, Jared cou- could I talk to you for a minute?” Jared finished putting away the food from dinner and came and sat by you on the couch.

“Yeah Y/N, what’s up?”

“So I,” you took a deep breath and closed your eyes, “I want to have sex.” When you didn’t get an immediate response you slowly opened your eyes to find Jared studying your face. “Oh god you don’t want to! Oh my god I’m such an idiot! Just, pretend I never said anything.” Just as your head fell into your hands Jared was pulling you into his arms and kissing the top of your head.

“Hey, hey, that’s not it at all! I just wasn’t expecting it, you caught me a little off guard. Of course I want to sleep with you! I’ve wanted to since the first night I met-,” now it was Jared’s turn to be embarrassed, “oh shit now I sound horrible. That’s not what I meant! I just meant, shit I am so sorry Y/N!”

Pulling back from his embrace he started laughing when he saw you were too. “Looks like I’m not the only nervous one here huh?”

Jared gave you a soft kiss before his eyes found yours. “Y/N, I just want to know. Are you doing this because you think I want to? Because if you are then we have to wait. That’s not at all how this should be happening.”

“No, I’ve been thinking about it for a while actually. We’ve been together for over a year now. You’ve been so kind and sweet to take this at a glacial pace with me.” Jared started to get that worried look again. “Oh no! Don’t think this is me trying to reward you are anything! I just, you’re such a good guy. You’re sweet, and gentle, and kind, and I know you won’t hurt me. I’m ready.”

Request:  Number 16 Aaron burr. Where Alexander somehow blackmails or dares Aaron to ask the reader out with a cheesy pick up line. Please? <3

Prompt 16:  “You know, you look a lot like my next girlfriend/boyfriend/partner” “And you look exactly like the person I turn down two seconds from now.”

Pairing: Aaron Burr x Reader

Time period: Modern

Word count: 1,783

A/N: Here it is! Finally, an Aaron imagine for you Burr-loving rascals. Hope you enjoy!

On days like this, Aaron wished he had better friends. Ones that didn’t insist on horsing around in public. Ones that didn’t nearly get kicked out more than three times in one trip to the mall. Ones that had a little more class. Yet, of course, Alexander and his friends were actual maniacs and Aaron had to put up with them.

“Alexander, I don’t think you’re allowed to take drinks into the stores,” Aaron pointed out as the accused man sipped on his coke obnoxiously.

“Yeah? And who’s gonna stop me?” Alex questioned smugly.

“Probably that security guard,” John said, pointing over Alex’s shoulder at the strongly built member of mall security glaring straight at Alex. The small man froze before turning on his heel to find the nearest garbage can, leaving his friends to laugh at his terror.

“Hey, isn’t that (Y/N) with Jefferson and his little lackey?” John suddenly spoke up, turning everyone’s gazes to your little group.

Aaron felt butterflies flutter in his stomach at the sight of you. You were laughing at something James Madison had said, sprawled out in your bench seat so your leg was resting on both your friend’s laps and your back was against the arm. Your other leg hung off the side, foot tapping against the pristine marble of the mall’s floor. His eyes were soft as he admired you, but Hercules had to ruin everything as he called your name.

“Hey, (Y/N)!!” He said, waving his arm in the air to catch your attention. You looked up from your conversation and smiled brightly as you waved back, much more calmly. Aaron was almost caught off guard by your beautiful smile, but he had only one question in his mind.

Since when did you know these buffoons?

“Who are you waving at?” Alexander, finally returning to the group, asked, trying to see over Hercules’ shoulder.

“(Y/N).” Lafayette answered. Alexander grimaced as he noticed you, or rather who you were sitting with.

Ugh, they’re with Jefferson.“ He said in disgust before getting onto his toes and waving frantically your way. "Hey (Y/N)!!!"

"Keep your voice down!” Aaron scolded in a hushed tone, as if he was trying to keep the world’s biggest secret. They were already getting dirty looks from staff and security. He worried they might toss them out if they continued to misbehave. Plus, the last thing he wanted was for you to see him with these idiots.

“What’re you so scared of, Burr?” Lafayette asked watching as Aaron subconsciously glanced your way. John, also catching the look, grinned widely
“Getting tossed out, mostly," Aaron answered, noticing the mischievous glint in John’s eye.

” You sure it doesn’t have anything to do with (Y/N)?“ John asked, throwing his arm over Aaron’s shoulder. Aaron glared at the curly haired man.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“So you didn’t just look at them?”

“I didn’t."

"I saw it too,” Lafayette mentioned, with a small chuckle.

Aaron tried not to act too defiantly,  knowing they were just picking on him, trying to find any way to get on his nerves. They didn’t actually know about his crush… right?

“I hardly even know (Y/N).”

“Well, since that’s the case,” Alexander began, a mischievous grin on his face. “why don’t you go talk to them?”

"And why would I do that?”

“Because I dare you.”

"What, are we in middle school?"  Aaron asked, eyebrow raised accusingly. He almost couldn’t believe they were being this childish. Almost.

"I double-dog dare you,” Hercules piped up, a devilish smirk on his face.

“That’s just childish."

"I triple-dog dare ya!” John exclaimed excitedly.

“Now you’ve gotta do it, Burr,” Laf said with a grin, crossing his arms.

Looking the group over, Aaron let out a heavy sigh. He knew he wouldn’t be able to win. They’d hound him until he agreed.

“Fine, I’ll go talk to them if it’ll make you children happy.” He groaned.

How hard could it really be?

“Wait. You gotta say something to them while you’re over there.” Alex said.

In that moment, the look in Alexander’s eye said nothing but trouble.

As Aaron walked up to your group nervously, his fingers fiddling with the hems of his sleeves, he knew for a fact he was done for. He would become a laughing stock to Thomas and James, and likely ruin any chance he had with you, just with a single sentence.

James was the first to notice him walk up, as you and Thomas were engaged in conversation. He greeted Aaron, which caught your attention enough to notice he had even approached you. You’d only vaguely recognized the face as someone you’d occasionally seen on school campus.

“Are you going to be joining us?” James asked, beginning to scoot closer to Thomas to accommodate for the new person. Aaron quickly stopped him though.

“Uh, no, I just wanted to tell (Y/N) something."

"Me?” You asked, looking at Thomas to see him give a knowing glance to James. The exchange only left you more confused.

What did Aaron have to say to you? You’d hardly spoke three words to the guy.

“Alright then. Shoot.”

“I just wanted to say…” He paused, taking a breath before speaking,  “You know, you look a lot like my next partner.”

Thomas’ hand flew up to cover his mouth and muffle the laugh that threatened to escape. James looked at Aaron with raised eyebrows, almost unable to believe he said something so idiotic.  But Aaron only focused on you. Your unamused face, your crossed arms, and he immediately felt the need to run.

“Really? ‘Cause you look exactly like the person I turn down two seconds from now.”

As if it couldn’t get worse,

Thomas began laughing hysterically into his palm. James coughed awkwardly as you stared expectantly at Aaron, waiting for what else he had to say. But that was it. That was all Alexander had told him to say.

Aaron began babbling, trying to collect his words into proper sentences. Nothing.

He turned on his heel and stormed beck to Alexander’s little group, face burning. Thomas’ voice could be heard in the split second before he hurried away.

“Damn, (Y/N), that was cold.”
When Aaron returned, Alexander and his entourage were fighting off laughter, clearly amused by the train wreck they had just witnessed. Aaron was not pleased.

He took his old spot beside the group, crossing his arms. Alexander grinned, gently punching the other man

“Aw, come on. It could’ve gone worse.”

“I just made an idiot of myself in front of (Y/N). It literally could not have gone worse.”

“Why does it even matter?” John said with a roll of his eyes. “Do you like them or something?”

When Aaron didn’t respond, the group seemed to simultaneously understand.

“Oh my god, dude, you like (Y/N).”

Aaron’s response was a loud groan.

“Look, we can fix this!” Hercules exclaimed hurriedly, feeling bad for Aaron. Alex, feeling slightly guilty for causing this whole thing, nodded in agreement.

“Yeah, definitely. We can-”

“I don’t want your help. You’ve done enough."

After a moment of shocked silence, Aaron let out a deep breath. “Look, can we just leave now? Alexander and I still have this project to work on for civics.” He said before heading towards the exit.

The boys he left behind all exchanged guilty glances before following him out.

The weekend passed by quick with no worries. Though Aaron was still irritated with Alexander, they still got the project done and he had seemingly forgotten about his humiliation. It wasn’t until Monday rolled around and Aaron stepped onto campus that he remembered what had happened with you a few days before.

He imagined himself being laughed off the school grounds by his cruel peers once they all found out about the rejection, and he was anxious as he walked to his first class.

However, instead of being met with ridicule in the halls. he was met with you.

“Hey, Aaron. Uh, can we talk?”

You let out a sigh at his dumb answer and grabbed his hand, pulling him off course to his class. He nearly protested, but the feeling of his hand in yours had his heart speeding and his brain malfunctioning.

Before he realized you’d taken him anywhere, you were both stood in the courtyard. It was mostly empty, students filing out so they wouldn’t be late.

“Look, about what happened at the mall…” The look of guilt over your features hurt his heart. He was ready to forgive you without you even apologizing. Not that he was very upset with you in the first place.

“I’m really sorry. You just caught me off guard before, at the mall. I just wasn’t expecting you to say something like that-”

“It was a dare,” Aaron said quickly, not allowing you to believe those were his own words any longer. “Alexander and his friends dared me to do it. I didn’t mean to offend you in any way.”

“Alexander, huh? Yeah, that sounds like something those four would do.” You said with a giggle. The sound itself brought a smile to Aaron’s lips. “I’m sorry on their behalf.”

Then, it fell silent. It wasn’t necessarily awkward, but Aaron had the sense that you had more to say.

“So um…. After you left, Thomas told me something,” You squeezed his hand and his heart fluttered.

“What’d he tell you…?” He questioned cautiously.

“Well, he said that… That you really liked me? I’m not sure if that still stands after I horribly rejected you but…”

“It still stands,” He said in a moment of boldness. You grinned

“I told Thomas and James not to tell anybody about what happened, so you won’t have to worry about the word getting around.”

A moment of relief washed over Aaron and he smiled gratefully.

“Thanks, (Y/N).”

“Anytime.” You released his hand, both of you noting how much you missed the warmth. “So, since you do still have feelings for me would you maybe like to go out sometime?”

You exchanged numbers with him and left to your class with the promise that you’d text him later. He watched you disappear behind the double doors that lead inside before he let the joy consume him.

Though he briefly thought he wanted to scold Thomas for spilling his feelings for you, that thought was replaced with the strange need to somehow thank him for it.  He’d never be going on a date with you if Thomas had said nothing, after all. But he didn’t need to worry about that at the current moment,

For now, he needed to get to class.

Bubble bath with Jeonghan~

lmao I hope this is to your liking anonnie~ ♥

You huffed when you closed the door behind you and dropped your gym bag to the floor.

“Welcome home!” Jeonghan called from the couch, and you greeted him while toeing your shoes off. Rubbing your shoulders one by one, you walked to the living room. He moved his eyes from his phone screen to you and grinned. “How was the gym?”

You knew full well that while you had been working out, he had been more or less just lying down on the couch, and you sighed while stretching a little. “Exhausting. I could really use a bath…”

At that, Jeonghan suddenly sat up and put his phone away, while a playful grin took over his features. “Got it. Sit down for a bit, babe, and I’ll get you real soon.”

With widened eyes, you could only nod and mumble “Okay…” while Jeonghan quickly kissed you on the side of your head and disappeared into the bathroom. You sat down on the couch, still confused about what your boyfriend had in mind, and began fiddling with your phone to keep yourself entertained while you waited.

You didn’t keep track of the time, but it was probably no more than ten minutes or so later that Jeonghan opened the bathroom door and peeked through it, his torso bare and his lips stretched to a wide smile. “Alright, Y/N, everything’s ready. Come on.”

Unable to keep the smile from spreading to your lips, too, you got up and walked to the bathroom, unsure of what to expect. Once he had let you in, Jeonghan observed proudly how your expression went from curious to amazed, with your eyebrows rising and eyes widening and your lips parting into a fascinated “Wow”.

“Not bad, huh?” Jeonghan asked with a snicker, referring to the bubble bath he had set for you, as well as the candles by the sink and counter, placed so that they gave you some romantic lighting but wouldn’t set either of you alight. Your towels were hanging neatly from their hooks and even the small mat you had by the bathtub was placed a lot more carefully than it normally was. While you remained speechless, Jeonghan wrapped his arms around your shoulders from behind and whispered in amusement. “I also put that bath salt of yours into it.”

You turned around in his embrace and smiled at him as you wrapped your arms around his neck, smiling softly before bringing your lips to his for a moment. “Thank you.”

Jeonghan gave you another quick kiss and shook his head before grinning and sliding his hands down to your butt to squeeze it. “Now, let’s get in.”

Already nodding, you only registered his words a few seconds later. “Wait, so you’re joining?”

Your boyfriend shrugged, the playful grin still present on his face. “Unless you have something against it?”

After some quick thought, you shook your head and tapped Jeonghan’s cheek before pulling away from his hug so that you could undress. “Not at all.”

Jeonghan took off his joggers and boxers, and silently watched you take off your clothes as well, piece by piece, and by the time you were as bare as he was, his Adam’s apple had already bobbed more than once.

You grinned at him when you had finally put your underwear to the laundry basket. “Were we supposed to get in, or?”

“Ah, yes,” Jeonghan said hurriedly and laughed while motioning you to get in first, and you did just that. You let out a satisfied sigh as you soaked in the water, which was pleasantly warm around your sore muscles and overall tired body, and held a faint scent of your favorite fruit. It was strong enough for you to somewhat smell it, but weak enough not to be unpleasantly sharp - definitely a good buy. Jeonghan stepped in on the other end of the tub, and you felt his feet by your hips while he lifted your legs on top of his. “Do your legs need a massage?”

Squinting, you nodded slowly. “Sure… But what are you trying to make up for?”

Jeonghan’s bubbly laughter filled the dimly lit bathroom, and even you laughed a little. “What do you mean? Can’t I just pamper you because I feel like it?”

He had already started to gently massage your left calf muscle, although if you were asked, the massage was more tickling than it was relaxing. You shrugged. “Of course you can, it’s just… weird, I guess.”

“Don’t tell that to others, that doesn’t really make me sound like a good boyfriend,” Jeonghan hummed jokingly while thoroughly massaging your muscle before moving to the left one. “Either way, in that case I suppose I should pamper you a bit more often.”

You shrugged and stroked Jeonghan’s legs slowly, affectionately, and giggled. “You don’t have to. You’re the perfect boyfriend the way you are.”

He lifted his face, since he had been focusing more on your legs, and gave you a smile that was so soft that you knew your words had hit him hard. You freed your legs from his touch and got closer to him, and with some of the foam getting stuck to your hand, you caressed Jeonghan’s left cheek.

“I love you,” you said quietly and leaned closer to press a kiss to the corner of Jeonghan’s mouth, after which you pressed another soft kiss on the mole on his right cheek, from where you moved to his lips, this time giving him a full kiss. He chuckled and held you lovingly as you slowly found a comfortable position between his legs with your back facing him.

You played with Jeonghan’s feet with yours, and his arms wrapped loosely around your waist. He leaned down to kiss you gently on your neck, after which he merely leaned his head on your shoulder, and a lot less sensually brought his hands to the top of the water and caught a lot of foam with them before bringing them to you and covering the part of you that wasn’t underwater with it.

“A foam beard, really?” you laughed out when you felt him giving you one, and you turned back playfully. Jeonghan snickered.

“It suits you,” he said in amusement, and only laughed more when you brought some foam to his jaw, chin and cheeks as well.

“Now we’re matching,” you giggled, playing with Jeonghan’s hair while looking deep into his eyes, slightly hooded as they always were.

“Have you ever seen a beard be kissed away?” he asked with a straight face and started to lean closer to you. The corners of your mouth tugged upwards as you shook your head, and a mere second after that Jeonghan’s lips were on yours, playful and daring and passionate.

And when he later pulled away, neither of you had any foam on your faces, except a few rare spots.

When you had calmed down again and Jeonghan was playing with your fingers, he called your name, and you hummed.

“But actually… I wanted to tell you that I kind of accidentally dropped the photo of us that you had framed, and the frames broke.”

“Were you stretching on the couch again?”

You shook your head. “We’ll just buy a new frame.”

Jeonghan nodded and pressed a kiss to your shoulder.

You murmured. “I knew you were making up for something…”

(The Sam version of Dean’s Confessions

Too encapsulated in your own thoughts, you hadn’t realized that you began thinking out loud.

“Why did you do it?” Your voice broke the silence.

You heard him exhale from the other side of the room.

“You know why.”

Sighing, you shut your eyes. The room was so dark you had forgotten that they were even open.

“Sam.” You pushed further.

The only sound in the room was Dean’s snoring, which became incessantly annoying as the tension grew. It was fucking palpable.

“What do you want me to say?” He finally responded after what seemed like a year had passed.

You turned onto your side to face him, even though you knew there was no way he could see you.

“You scared me.” You stated, “What if he hadn’t missed, huh? Where would we be now?”

When he didn’t respond, you flipped onto your back once more and rubbed your hands over your face.

“I couldn’t let it-” he paused, “I couldn’t let you get hurt.” His voice was soft.

“Fuck, Sam.” You whispered.

You replayed the gunshot in your head about a thousand times. The demon was aiming at you. Clear as day, you watched as he pulled out the silver gun and aimed it right at your head. Sam’s senses were faster than yours though, and like a flash of light he jumped towards you. Not expecting that, the demon wavered, and his aim was thrown off completely. The fear in that moment as you thought that Sam had been hit rendered your legs weak as you shook him, screaming his name, until he finally grabbed your face in his hands and said he was alright.

“I couldn’t, Y/N. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if something happened to you.” He whispered into the darkness.

Unexpectedly, tears began to form in your eyes. You let them fall. Gently, they streamed down your skin and in the quiet of the room, you heard them hit the pillow.

“And what if something happened to you?” You rasped out, voice cracking. Sam swallowed thickly, realizing in your voice that you had begun to cry. Without hesitation he shoved his blanket down and climbed out of his bed.

Too busy with your own thoughts, you hadn’t realized he had gotten up until you felt the mattress dip. You let out a shaky breath and turned to face him.

He placed his hand on yours, squeezing tightly. That gesture broke you, and suddenly the dam broke and tears came out in wracked sobs. Sam pulled himself closer to you, allowing you to bury your head in his chest as he held you.

“You scared the shit out of me!” You exclaimed suddenly, hitting your fist against him. “You- you could’ve-”

“Shh.” He grabbed your fist in his hand before you could hit him again and brought it to his lips. Your knuckles brushed against his skin, and you relished the touch.

“It’s okay. We’re okay.” He said as you began to steady your breathing.

You nodded, the rational part of your mind agreeing. You nudged closer to him until there was no space between you. His hand reached up to grip your head, pressing you against him.

“We’re okay.” You repeated. “We’re okay.”
