I doubt it’s just me but did it freak anyone else out in season 1 of stranger things when Mike jumped off that cliff without hesitation? When I watched the show for the first time that part really freaked me out because of the fact that Mike barely hesitated. I see posts of people kind of making fun of Mike saying oh well he jumped off a cliff to save his friends teeth. In my honest opinion no one, not even a 12 year old, would barely hesitate to jump off a cliff (even to save his friends teeth no matter how good of a friend he is) if they didn’t have something going on deeper inside them. Perhaps you could argue that Mike thought he would survive the fall? But in my opinion Mike is a smart child and he even he should know that he wouldn’t survive that fall. Even the bullies were freaked out when he jumped because they didn’t think he actually would. He had like no emotion on his face before he did anything and people who don’t want to die or get hurt would usually be crying or showing some kind of emotion imo. I mean Mike comes from a home where yeah perhaps they’re not struggling financially or anything like that but he does have an inattentive father and two parents who don’t love each other and from personal experience I can tell you that that messes with a child whether they realize it or not. Not to mention the fact that he is bullied and perhaps you could add some other things. I personally think Mike may have deeper issues and I also think that him barely hesitating to even jump off that cliff was a big red flag ok bye
i love little shop of horrors bc seymour is like “i guess ill feed this dangerous carnivorous plant some of my own blood :/” and the audience is supposed to be like NOOOOOOO DONT DO IT!!!! but like its so funny bc we’re really pretending that if any carnivorous plant hobbyist came across a previously unknown and dangerous carnivorous plant that needed blood to grow they wouldn’t at least consider this option. like if you have ever witnessed a carnivorous plant chat or forum for .4 seconds u would know that if little shop of horrors happened irl you bet ur ass the carni community could not be trusted to put human priorities before the priorities of a strange carnivorous plant species bought for $1.25
...how often do you have urges to pat cacti?
It's just that I feel like no one touches them because they're put off by the spikes and that must be a sad life. They're just an outer wall of defence and inside the cactus is just like us, I'm willing to push past that defence to get to them, y'know? Anything to make them feel better
Magnus, blinking slowly:
...definitely, darling. I think it's time we go home now
I get such joy out of how Yondu isnt even angry at the end of the 1st movie when he realizes Peter gave him a troll doll instead of the infinity stone, he’s just like “he grew up to be lying cheating thief, just like me. I’m so proud”
I know we as a fandom have decided to ignore the weird werewolf aging but I can’t help but think about it. The fact is at this point Stiles will age and die long before Derek (or any of the other wolves) will die. My way around this is by headcanoning that he is some sort of supernatural thing (which there’s a lot in canon to support this) and whatever he is alters his aging so he ages as weirdly as the wolves do. Or my other headcanon is that Stiles is 30 he and Derek have like 3 kids (all werewolves) and it hits him that thanks to the aging one day he’ll leave them all behind. Of course he doesn’t want that so he decides to finally take the bite and become a werewolf too.
