i know you wrote about this a while ago but why is zoe problematic? yes she obviously isn't v nice to her brother but it's pretty justified. ty and ily nella
if you want my honest opinion i dont think you could really deem zoe “Problematic” like, i could talk about how zoe has a very black and white viewing of connor and saying (of course, she says this one only after he is gone) there’s no good things about him and calling him a psychopath, like, sure okay; i wish she didnt call connor a psychopath because i relate to him and if i got called a psychopath i’d feel like fuckin Garbage Supreme, and it’s implied and talked about by Mike that Connor felt boxed into this “Bad Person, Problem Child, Bad Bad Bad” identity and i think it sucked for connor to be mentally ill in this family where no one took the time to understand or help and i dont think zoe helped with that but also… nobody did, like; i dont actually find any of these things to be.. Bad of her, because Connor scared her, and Connor hurt her, and i dont blame her at all for having a black and white negative view of him at all.
i completely relate to her lyrics in requiem about how i view my abuser and i have seen people call zoe a bitch and pointing out her line “dont tell me that it wasnt black and white” because YES, of course from an outside view people can see all the shades of grey and they usually stay in that greyspace. those people always criticize her because they arent looking at it from the perspective of an abuse victim.
i rambled and got off track and im bad with WORDS. the point is i dont really actually see zoe as problematic at all and i love her and relate to her haha
