Interview: ImprobableDreams900

Today we’re joined by ImprobableDreams900. ImprobableDreams900 is mostly a dedicated fanartist who does a little traditional fanart, but specializes in fanfiction. She’s currently working on some great fics. ImprobableDreams900 also does quite a bit of graphic design by trade. She also has a very clever way to apply her skills in graphic design to her fanfiction, as you’ll soon read. She’s incredibly passionate and it makes for a great interview. My thanks to her for taking the time to participate in this interview.

WORK

Please, tell us about your art.

In the world of fandom, I’m primarily an author, with my best work in the Night Vale and Good Omens fandoms. I really wanted to be an author when I was young, but I knew it wasn’t a very economically feasible career path, so I switched my aspirations to something a little more likely to allow me to pay rent: graphic design. I’m also a visual artist, with a few pieces of traditional fan art under my belt, but I find myself doing a lot of fandom-related things using my graphic design skillset — I’ve laid out, designed covers for, printed, and bound my own fanfiction, for example.

What inspires you?

There’s nothing I regularly go back to for inspiration, because I usually have more ideas than I could possibly execute, but I do draw a lot from history. Due to my current interest (read: obsession) with Good Omens, I spend an inordinate amount of time reading very old books on early Biblical mythology at the library — not weird at all, right? But they’re great mines for information I can spin into stories.

What got you interested in your field?  Have you always wanted to be an artist?

As I said before, I always wanted to be an author. When I was very young, I used to take pieces of paper and write all over them and pretend I was writing a book. I’d only get about a page done before I started just drawing squiggly lines on the paper, though, lol. When I got around to actually writing, I didn’t start with fanfiction. I cranked out several “books” in middle school — a pursuit my mother encouraged far too much — and when I was in junior high I spent a summer writing a 200k novel. It was pretty terrible, but all of this writing (along with an incredible amount of reading) taught me how to write well, and at a relatively young age. In addition to art, I also seriously considered careers in history or physics (particularly astrophysics, particle physics, or quantum physics), but history doesn’t pay any better than writing does, and the day-to-day work of a particle physicist isn’t half as interesting as reading about the conceptual aspects.

Do you have any kind of special or unique signature, symbol, or feature you include in your work that you’d be willing to reveal?

Not really, though most of my fanfiction is fairly angsty; I exact an unhealthy pleasure from severely injuring and killing off my characters. I nearly always abide by the ‘angst with a happy ending’ tag, though, and I do my very best to leave them in a better place than I found them. I’m an optimist at heart, you see.

What advice would you give young aspiring artists?

Oh dear — I think technically I’m still a young aspiring artist, lol. If you’re interested in writing, though, 100% the best advice I can give is to read and write a lot. Trial and error and learning by doing are really the best ways to improve, in my opinion.

ASEXUALITY

Where on the spectrum do you identify?

Generally speaking, I’m just very confused, but my current state of mind is gray!ace or demi (and possible biromantic on top of that); I’m leaning towards demi at the moment, because I’ve noticed that it takes an incredibly long amount of time for me to form any sort of emotional attachment to anyone. I really take the friend-to-relationship route, and haven’t had a relationship yet where I wanted to even consider sleeping with the other person. Most of the time I was struggling with whether or not I even wanted to cuddle.

Have you encountered any kind of ace prejudice or ignorance in your field?  If so, how do you handle it?

I’m glad you asked! I haven’t seen a lot of prejudice personally, but I have seen some ignorance, even within the queer community. I was reading a fanfic the other day, and the author introduced a great many original characters, of which practically every one ticked a different box on the LGBTQ+ checklist. I didn’t have a problem with this, but I did notice that the author hadn’t included an ace character (though ace-exclusion was by no means the author’s intention). So in my latest fic, I decided to form an asexual relationship between the two main characters. Due to some complicated plot shenanigans, one of the characters ends up walking into what is basically a porn shop created by his subconscious — meaning that he walks into a porn shop completely devoid of porn, and instead populated with things he cares about, and finds romantic. I put in a lot of little ace Easter eggs, because I’m beginning to realize that if I want to see more ace representation, it’s not going to write itself.

What’s the most common misconception about asexuality that you’ve encountered?

Someone I know very well in real life came out as asexual before I even had a suspicion that I might be, so I haven’t had a lot of firsthand experience with misconceptions of asexuality. I think the most common misconception is either that a) you just have a low libido, b) you’re going to grow old and die alone as an old cat lady (this being a pitiable fate), or c) that you’ll grow out of it (which is admittedly not helped by the fact that a lot of people seem to do just that).

What advice would you give to any asexual individuals out there who might be struggling with their orientation?

Don’t worry about it so much, especially if you’re young. If you’re demi or gray (the only orientations I feel comfortable dispensing advice to), I find it’s rather hard to force romance to happen. I know I don’t have that ‘look, that person is hot’ instinct at all, so I just try to make friends with people I think I might like, and see if anything happens from there. Also, if you’re having trouble finding someone who’s right for you — and again, especially if you’re young (that’s under 30 in my mind) — remember that you are under no obligation to be in a relationship. Mainstream media has misled you and societal norms have shaped your thinking, and I don’t think it’s just asexuals they’ve done a disservice to. Sex isn’t the end-all-be-all, but neither are relationships. Don’t undervalue the advantages of being single — I know I for one really love having enough free time to write all those fanfics!

Finally, where can people find out more about your work?

I’m ImprobableDreams900 on AO3 (fics) and Tumblr (occasional bit of art). The fanfiction behemoth I’m currently working on is a series called Eden!verse for the Good Omens fandom, which is GONNA BE AWESOME when I’ve finally finished writing it. If you’re interested in reading the asexual porn shop scene I mentioned, it’s in Chapter 4 of The End of Eternity in that series, starting about halfway through. If anyone’s interested in commissioning a printed book of their fanfiction (or another author’s, with their permission), send me a message on Tumblr, and I’d be happy to give you more information!

Thank you, ImprobableDreams900, for participating in this interview and this project. It’s very much appreciated.

THE LAYERS CHEAT SHEET PART TWO
(PART ONE HERE)

Once again, I’m no expert- there are things about these layers I probably haven’t covered, so please try them out for yourself!

Layers 1-7 help your contrast. They are usually a pair of the former two groups I went over in my last post.

1. OVERLAY:  Helps your contrast by boosting your lights and darks, while the more mid tone pixels aren’t affected as much. It does this based on the layers beneath it.  “Screens” the lights, “multiplies” the darks.
2. SOFT LIGHT:  Similar to overlay, but a “softer” effect. You can think of soft light as more transparent.
3. HARD LIGHT: You can look at hard light as an intense version of overlay, with much brighter colors and a much less transparent look.
4. VIVID LIGHT:  This is the heavy metal version of overlay- think of it similar to color dodge and color burn.  Very intense colors, good for finding interesting lighting and color combos.
5. LINEAR LIGHT:  Crazy amounts of contrast and color is added here, even more than vivid light.  so heavy metal
6. PIN LIGHT:  This one is interesting because besides it also being an intense contrast layer, it can add random noise to the active layer.  Apparently this is a combo of the lighten blend mode on the light pixels and darken on the dark pixels, but the noise effect is what makes it really interesting imo.
7. HARD MIX:  You will turn this mode on and be like “no” but it is actually adjusting its fill will reveal another overlay-ish type layer.  It throws the colors on the active layer towards a more primary color such as blue, or magenta.
_____
8. DIFFERENCE: This will invert your colors, taking into account the layers below. If colors are very close, they will be black.
9. EXCLUSION: This also inverts your colors, taking into account the layers below. If colors are very close, they are grey. Exclusion and difference are layers that would be good for graphic pieces, I haven’t really gotten used to incorporating them in my painting workflow.
10. SUBTRACT: Similar to the above layers, but more intense. You will notice that the darker you make your active layer with Difference, exclusion, and subtract, the lighter and more transparent looking the result will be.
11. DIVIDE:  Divide, however, usually results in crazy highlights that are pretty opaque unless the layer is fairly light, and then it will begin to go transparent.
___
12. HUE:  Makes the lower layer take on the hue of the active layer.
13. SATURATION:  The lower layers take on the saturation of the active layer.
14. COLOR:  The lower layers take on the color of the active layer.
15. LUMINOSITY:  The lower layers take on the luminosity, or brightness, of the active layer.

Once again, I’m no expert, but I hope this helps. Thanks guys!

Sunday Spreads time!

Alright so I know these spreads are pretty basic BUT I really needed some straight shooters today for a very specific situation I wanted to ask about.

Anyway, I think some of you will find these useful. I’ve found the ‘Wires’ spread to be particularly useful in that sometimes it’s good to know where the other person thinks you stand, because that helps you determine if there are any misunderstandings between you.

I’m also thinking of making graphics for the spreads I’ve found while digging through the tarot forums (with full credit to the original creators of course). What do you guys think?

There’s A Nap For That

Based on this post: “If you both agree to take a nap instead of going out, it’s a date.”

Or: The one where Bellamy and Clarke keep taking naps together. You know, platonically. See also: Let Them Rest

A/N: I started this before New Years and thought it would be done in like, three days. Oh how naive. But hey, here we are!

WC: ~6.5k
Read on AO3

Clarke doesn’t plan to be alone on New Year’s Eve, but she also doesn’t plan not to be alone–if that makes sense. She could fly back to Los Angeles and attend her mother’s extravagant corporate party, if she wanted to put herself through that. It’s definitely an option.

But she’s long since decided that it’s better to deal with the vague feelings of missing out on the New Year’s celebration over fielding questions about why she’s not following in her mother’s footsteps or, god forbid, whether she’s gotten over that whole sexuality thing yet.

So she calls Abby the night before the party, fulfills her yearly, good-daughter quota of well wishes and pleasantries, and calls it good.

And really, doing nothing on New Year’s Eve is kind of the best thing that’s happened her, stress-wise, in the last six months.

She works in the graphic design department for an uber-trendy website that facilitates commissions for freelance artists, which makes it an incredibly lucrative avenue to get her name out there in the industry. It just also happens that the company is very concerned with staying up-to-date with aesthetic trends, and has her changing logos and web layouts on a weekly basis.

It’s the kind of somewhat crappy, over demanding job that she feels weirdly excited to have, because it means her mom isn’t paying people to make her life easier.

But it has been running her to the bone, so she’s positively delighted to do absolutely nothing for a night.

Or she is until she finds out that Bellamy also doesn’t have plans for New Year’s Eve.

RPG Maker Fever Undead and Deranged

Warning:This article may contain spoilers and the content inappropriate for children…or may not contain. But get the children away from the screen just in case.

Good morning! Or is it already evening? Meh, as if it matters…cellar, where I’m chained and writing my articles  is pitch-dark 24 hours per day. So, today we’ll learn how to make friends, control the undead and have a happy dream ( with some experimental drugs involved). Now then, shall we get started?

1. 1bitHeart

Alright, here goes our first title, made by the author of Alice Mare and LiEat series. 1bitHeart is an adventure game, where your goal is to make as many friends as possible . Game plays similar to Ace Attorney series, but with some QTE-scenes, while setting and atmosphere is kinda similar to TWEWY.You can make 49 friends in total, all of them have unique appearance and personality. Plot of the game is pretty good, dialogues are well-written and sometimes hilarious. Besides, every dialogue has it’s own mood supported by stylish well-chosen music track and quality voice acting. Additionaly I want to praise 1bitHeart’s presentation, since  both artwork and sprites are extremely beautiful .

2. The Boogie Man

And here comes the Boogeyman, the Boogeyman comes for me. Here comes the Boogyeman, he’s gonna take me in my sleep…Nah, actually not. Here comes the latest installement in our favourite  the Strange Men Series. This time with the fully voiced in-game cutscenes (and skippable as bonus). The Boogie Man stays true to series and plays like classical horror-adventure with action cut-ins. At some point of the game you can even play as our old friends -David and Sophie, but new protagonist Keith is quite notable too (he’s my personal fav to be honest).Overall the game makes very good impression, the story is interesting and dialogues are bright and entertaining (with many references to previous games).

3.  END ROLL

I’m not the sensitive type, but  even I was kinda hesitant to play this game at first, since it has waaay too many suggestive content, supported by quite a lot of graphic violence. But after beating it I can state that this game is totally drugtastic. END ROLL plays like quality role-playing game and somewhat reminds the wild mix of the Gray Garden and Re:Kinder, but with better story-writing and gameplay I believe. Game has plenty of  unique dungeons (all of them has some plot-related meaning behind it) as well as tons of optional content, which along with well-designed and interesting characters make END ROLL very enjoyable.

4. Guuzen ~ Ningyou no ito

What? Don’t tell me you’ve never heard about the rite named “doll’s prayer” .You’ll forget all of your worries and  path to the Heaven will open before you. But the place, our heroines’ve found themselves in, can be hardly called Heaven. I wasn’t expecting much from this game, but it turned to be quality horror with beautiful character designs, memorable soundtrack, logical puzzles and surprisingly mature story. The game reminds us that we’re often starting to value something only when it’s already lost.Sadly, right now  Ningyou no ito is only available in chinese, japanese and russian.

5. Liar Jeannie in Crucifix Kingdom

Yet another full-fledged role-playing game has made it to my list. And kinda tough, I must say. Imagine what if Dark Souls was the turn-based RPG with cute nun as protagonist and you’ll get Liar Jeannie… more or less.Unlike many RPGs, this one doesn’t  have any levels, and your stats and basic skills fully depend on your current equipment (by the way, every item in this game can be equipped). A special mention is deserved for game’s bosses - there’s a few main bosses and a lot of optional ones -all of them have their own battle tactics and require some thinking before acting ( especially Pleiades Knights-you want to defeat them, trust me). Also, if things during the fight will become real ugly, you can always summon expendable monsters as your allies (or living shields, heh).

6. At the Tale End

Here we have a game, which looks like a regular fantasy-adventure, but only at first. Plot includes our standard party of heroes (fighter, mage, priest and thief), cursed princess and battle with the local dark lord. But each of these elements plays very different from your typical fantasy stories. At the Tale’s End is definetely a unique experience, a role-playing game in it’s original meaning, without countless random battles, but with a certain weight of responsibility for your actions within a narrative. Also this game has detailed and interesting world as well as quality animated cut-scenes.

7. Pocket Mirror

A long-awaited Pocket Mirror has been finally released this year. And I’m amazed with  enormous amount of work made by the  team of developers. When it comes to game’s graphic, Pocket Mirror is stunning. Beautiful artwork and memorable soundtrack help to create this mysterious, unique atmosphere of dark fairy tale. And with that Pocket Mirror has some gameplay issues. You see, while some puzzles are interesting, most of them is quite uninspiring, some of the locations are pitch-dark and hard to navigate. And with that plot of the game is quite complicated, but doesn’t make much sense,if you don’t pay close attention to numerous in-game notes and letters. This game is definetely not bad,but still leaves some feeling of unpolishness.

8. The Maid of Fairewell Heights

Despite the fact that story of the Maid takes place at the haunted apartment complex, this game has no horror elements. Maid feels more like comedy anime straight from ‘90s. Gameplay (along with main character’s outfits) varies depending on the room your’re currently exploring. Starting with regular cleaning you can end up playing detective or running the shop. Game has bright illustrations, good humour and overall is pretty good.

9. Libretta

I’m sure everyone knows that beside translating games vgperson also makes their own, and Libretta is one of them..This game  definetely gives an interesting experience. While playing similar to Ib, Libretta has it’s own unique atmosphere and somewhat complicated plot, where everyone can find something for themselves (or so I think). Libretta has memorable soundtrack and interesting puzzles, requiring some thinking from the player Also playing shirigories between chapters is kinda fun.

10. Imaginary Friends

Imaginary Friends is a classical rpg-horror-game with quality visuals, well-thought puzzles and some minor chasing scenes. While story lacks originality, it’s still interesting to follow, since charactrers are nice and game has several endings. Game is about 3 hours long and leaves mostly positive impression. So, if you like old-school rpg-horrors-be my guest.

11. Red Trees

While having some minor horror elements, Red Trees stays warm and relaxing adventure game with humorous and ironic view on horror genre and quite unexpected ending in a way. Graphic style of the game and whole atmosphere of a local town is somewhat reminiscent of Mother series.Gameplay is quite simple and consist from few “find-and-bring-to-the- right-person” puzzles, which can be easily solved in 30 minutes or so.

12. The Stairway

Like Red Trees this game is also recommended for players, who’ve already tired from jumpscares, explinct content and overthinking bizarre puzzles. This game has simple yet nice story, unique visuals and some easy logical puzzles. So, if you want to neatly spend 30-40 minutes of your time, try and climb The Stairway to see what’s awiting you at the very end.

13. Friendship

The most fitting description for Friendship would be “horror for the beginners”, since it can surprise or startle you only if you haven’t played any other rpg-horrors before. In fact Friendship doesn’t stand out much compared with better quality school horrors ( like Misao or Amayado Bus Stop ).But it doesn’t mean that the game is bad-Friendship is a good way to spend 30 minutes seeing how strong attachment to a friend can turn simple game into yandere-horror.

14. By Ourselves

And here comes our closing title about two former classmates, who’ve found themeselves trapped in the room. Game is only 10 minutes long and basically is one big locked door puzzle. You find the first hint and then successively exploring the room for the way out. Game has two endings determined by how much attention you’re paying to your comrade in distress.

Self-Promotion Shouldn’t Be a Dirty Word

There’s something I’d like to discuss with you guys – something a lot of us feel guilty for doing, but something that all of us should do – self-promotion. Specifically, I want to talk about promoting your content.

Most of the people I follow on this site, I follow for their excellent writing, or their beautiful art, or their fantastic graphics. Tumblr, for all its flaws, is a platform that lends itself to sharing your preferred means of creative expression. I also follow people for their great taste. Tumblr lends itself very well to content curation – sharing things that you like with other people you think will like them. And no blog consists of just created content – everyone needs to curate, too.

Therefore, it’s important both to content creators – people who make pretty stuff – and content curators – people who collect pretty stuff – to see all the good stuff you make. Now – how do you make sure your followers see that art you made or that fic you wrote or the meta you came up with or that rec list you put together – so that they can enjoy it, and share it with their followers, too?

That’s right – you promote that shit. Not all your followers are online at the same time. Any content you create needs to be shared multiple times, during different times of day. Some of your followers might not be online every day, so that means promoting it a few more times after the initial posting day. If your creative online presence goes across multiple platforms, share on all of them! That means you share the story you posted on AO3 on tumblr, and that you share the painting you posted on Tumblr on Twitter, so on, and so forth.

Now, my point thus far has been that your followers want to see your stuff – but that’s not the only reason you should feel comfortable promoting your work. It’s your work. You made it. You spent time and energy and effort on it. You should be comfortable putting that out there. And if you’re not comfortable, it’s good fucking practice.

I know we’ve all been told that it’s bad to want attention – especially the women and teenage girls among us – but when it comes to your professional life, especially if you intend to go down a less-than-conventional path, asking for attention is sort of a necessity. It’s how you get feedback from people who are more experienced than you; it’s how you get mentorship; it’s how you get someone to see you and give you a chance.

So yeah – reblog your drawing or your story or your graphic or your playlist one more time. Your followers want to see. But more importantly, it’s good practice.

13RW

So everyone on Facebook is talking about that new show on Netflix 13 Reasons Why, and it makes me mad. The book was not good. I hoped the show would expand on the the book and openly talk about mental illness. Especially, with people saying it is a show that advocates about suicide and etc. Also, the tv show has inserted graphic rape scenes, and a very graphic scene of the girl killing herself.

The tv show, from what I understand, never mentions how to prevent suicide, that mental illness leads to suicide, and doesn’t cover the complex irrational thought processes in mental illness. Doesn’t show proper coping mechanisms. Doesn’t state explicitly that the girl had a mental illness. Doesn’t show doctor intervention and blames others for girl commiting suicide. Which, they do have some blame since it’s about bullying, slut shaming, and etc, but the girl is the one that refused to fight tooth and nail to live. She expected the guidance counselor to read her mind the day before she killed herself. It’s just a terrible show that doesn’t really advocate about mental illness. The girl can be seen as almost killing herself to get revenge on people.

Did I know in high school that mental illness was related to suicidal thoughts? No. Not all.

I wish I had, and I wish there hadn’t been so much stigma about mental illness. The show does not address these topics and inform people about them, and they have very triggering scenes.

The premise of the show is be nice to everyone–I’m sorry but having people be nice to me would not have helped me. Being nice–is different from loving someone unconditionally, being supportive, and etc. while the person who is ill tries to recover who they are and get well again.

Don’t get me started on romanticizing in the show. Here is a quote that says it. Very problematic.

Clay: I cost a girl her life because I was afraid to love her
Mr. Porter: We can’t love someone back to life
Clay: You can try.

^ There it gives the idea that romantic love could have saved her from her mental illness and trauma. Terrible, it’s the same old misconceptions and stereotypes being played again.

Star Boys ⭐ ~ step-by-step process of >this< piece (^   v ^) <3 click through for minor captions!

since Tumblr can only hold eight photos, here’s my process reduced to eight steps. there’s a lot more fussing and changing and adjusting that goes in, but this feels like a good overview.

and here’s some bonus back story! X3 hehe~ i was really frustrated with my work last week… i honestly felt like maybe it was just time to move on and do something totally different. like it was just time to pack in my character work and go back to being a graphic designer. i kept starting new things over and over and over again and throwing them away. i felt very defeated. i was drowning my sorrows in coke zero and k-pop videos when i decided to just draw some self indulgent garbage to make myself feel better, regardless of how it might turn out looking. and i had no idea that it’d turn into this! XD

so when you’re thinking~ “why Pidgy… why did you dress those beautiful boys so stupidly?!?!” (7O  [  ]O)7 it was the k-pop dood! i was under the influence! have you seen the ridiculous/awesome clothes they wear?!?!? it’s FABULOUS! and i didn’t start drawing this thinking that i’d ever post it! HAHAHA!!! but it just worked out so smoothly! (O  v O) <3 and i felt myself feeling again like i knew i could - and new i wanted to - improve! I AIN’T GIVING UP YET!!!! (>   A <)

so yeah… (^   v ^);;; it’s a bit silly, and very colorful! hahaha! but~ i really tried my best to do new things and put my best foot forward… so i hope some of you enjoy it! i still have so much more i want to do! (O    w O) <3 <3 <3

My Top Anime Recommendations

1. Haikyuu!! This is about volleyball. One of my first anime obsessions. It has so much comedy tho, and a lot of salty ass bitches and APPRECIATION FOR SHORT PEOPLE. I really recommend if ur new to anime. So far, I’m pretty sure it’s over but season 4 might be coming in 2017. It’s a sports anime about volley, as I mentioned and any mention of volleyball will trigger characters.

 2. Yuri!!! On Ice A very gay ice skating show. Most of you have probably already watched it. It makes me cry way too much. And there’s a lot of kids you might want to adopt. Basically, if you ever wanted anything from your otp, watch this show and you’ll get double of that. Disadvantage is that it raises expectations for all animes smh.

 3. Tokyo Ghoul THIS IS THE SADDEST AND MOST BAD ASS ANIME EVER. Honestly, it made me so so so so upset. I cried a lot. But it’s like super cool. It has gruesome parts and a lot of things that might trigger suicidal people, those who hurt themselves or those who’ve been abused. If blood makes you uncomfortable, don’t watch. Other than that, it’s actually got a great plot and story and characters are amazingly developed. There’s a guy who’s slightly deranged tho, and a drag queen but those details can be skipped over.

 4. Charlotte The reason I like this is because there’s a badass girl in this like what the fUck. They have supernatural powers and it’s cool BC the main character actually misused them like all the time it’s hilarious but later on he becomes so amazing and he’s so ffing domeSTIC AND CUTE. Also he’s very salty  AND OMG TE FINALE WAS AMAZING LIKE THE GUY, HE IS SO FUCKING COOL IT HAD ME CRYING SO HARD DEFFO ONE OF THE BESTEST ANIME

5. Bungou Stray Dogs Literally you will fall in love with the main character so fast lmao. Suicide mentions like, constantly. At first, it’s supposed to be humor but in the second season; the arc of one of the characters is so good and will explain why he mentions suicide so much. AGAIN WITH THE HUMOR. And unlike other supernatural animes I’ve watched, this one doesn’t make people with powers the bad guys. They’re very appreciated.

6. Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi / Escape The plot is amazing. Made me cry a lot. The characters are great. Basically, it’s about how this guy goes back in time to prevent things from happening and oh mY GOSH ITS GREAT.

7. Ajin

Another super cool supernatural one. definitely worth it. Graphics are great and so are the characters. Its ongoing and the second season is about to end. you’ll seriously feel love/hate

 8. Free! Any mention of water will make main character strip. Quite gay. I haven’t watched all of it but I’m about to finish it in a few episodes. Again, this is good for anime beginners. Also, trigger warning for those who’re afraid of drowning.

9. K. That’s literally what it’s called. I think it stands for Kings but yeah. It’s also really good and it’s about head clans that are looking for a colorless king who can transfer into different people ad make them do awful things so they get targeted by the different clans (blue, red, etc)

10. Mob Psycho 100 ~ THIS IS A MUST WATCH. I keep adding new animes I know but this is important. It’s humor is on point, unexpected twists are everywhere. The characters are lovable and it’s really good for beginner supernatural anime. It’ll make you cry and laugh.

BONUS : DEATH NOTE. Okay, the plot is incredible. Things that you won’t be able to think of and they’ll leave you mind blown. Characters are human af like it’s supernatural but everything is so natural, like the nature of people. Warning: like, everyone dies. Don’t get too attached to characters. But yeah, it’s an old anime and has 37 episodes in total I think, but it’s super good!!

That’s about my top 10 (plus one bonus)

Love your winterironwidow AUs, they give me life! But most are winterwidow to winterironwidow, how about we change it up a bit: Tony and Nat are working together (and being together) as a sort of "anything-for-hire" - they will steal, spy, assassinate and protect, whatever is needed, for money. And they are VERY good at what they do, what with Nat's infiltrating sneaky spy skills combined with Tony's computer/gadget skills and brains (and they are both excellent at acting). (1/2)

(2/2) Then one mission Tony’s cover has been blown and he has to disappear into the crowd. He spies a guy sitting alone in a café and sits down next to him asking him to hide him because some guys have been following him all day. Bucky, always the gentleman, does exactly that, and they proceed to have a wonderful first date which doubles as a job interview because turns out the former special forces sniper is currently unemployed, and has just the right skill set to compliment the other two.

“Tony,” Natasha says slowly, eyeing up the good-looking young man currently standing half-naked in their bedroom. “What did I say about cheating on me?”

“Not to, or you’d slit the bitch’s throat right in front of me and make me watch them die, then drown me in their blood,” Tony cheerfully replies, sauntering out of the walk-in closet he’d insisted every safe house would have to contain, while the stranger spluttered. “He’s got great abs though.”

“I can see that,” Natasha states drily because he really does. Dead-Hottie-Walking–and damn it, Tony’s ridiculous nickname habits are starting to rub off on her despite her best efforts–has earned the name. He’s also pulling himself together remarkable fast, refuses to break eye-contact with her despite the light blush that refuses to die down.

Natasha always respects a man who refuses to cower in front of her but is still smart enough to realise he’s in trouble.

“He’s also a sniper,” Tony adds, as though that is supposed to make her feel any better, and throws the guy a shirt he catches without looking.

Oddly enough it does make her feel better.

“Really?” she drawls, attention still fully focused on the unknown threat. “And how did you come to lose your shirt?”

Dead-Hottie-Walking’s mouth sets into a tight line, before he visibly forces himself to relax, shrugs. “It got blood on it,” he answers, no inflection whatsoever. And yes, she can see why Tony likes him.

Damn it.

“So,” she leans against the door frame, folding her arms in front of her chest in a mock-show of patience. “Are you going to tell me why you’ve invited a virtual stranger in our,” secret “bedroom or should I go get my knives and get the answers myself?”

“Kinky,” Dead-Hottie-Walking mutters not quite under his breath. Definitely see why Tony likes him.

“It totally wasn’t my fault!” her loveable, genius, idiot of a boyfriend blurts out, hands flailing. “I was just doing my job, there was absolutely no way I could’ve foreseen-!”

Natasha suppresses a sign.

So this is going to be one of those days.

I adore this. I love the twist of Tony/Nat being a thing before Bucky joins them!!! (He totally will, it’s just gonna take some time, for one Nat will have to stop calling him Dead-Hottie-Walking at some point) I hope you like the silliness I came up with :)

Like sex-shaming is a problem in the ace community but it’s not somehow An Ace Problem and “the discourse” has demonstrated this very clearly. By this I mean, aces are not a privileged group. We as a group do not benefit from sex-shaming or from sexualizing oppressed groups and a ton of us are in fact harmed by it. There is a problem in the ace community with this shit, but there is outside the ace community too.

And I don’t mean this as “so it’s no big deal”, it is a big deal - I mean this as “so ppl outside the ace community need to be held just as accountable for shit as aces”, which currently among a certain crowd is just not happening and this has been going on for a long while, also with various other stuff and -isms.

And so now like with so much other shit, you have a ton of “exclusionists” calling the ace community out for sex-shaming and for sexualizing people (or supposedly doing so in a number of cases) while then turning around and pulling that very same shit, only with a different spin. And they don’t realize/don’t care about it in part because they have made it into A Thing Aces Do (also aros depending on the theme of the week), while their crowd nobly stands against it. They treat us as a privileged group of bigots and themselves as far too good to ever make similar mistakes on a larger scale

So then they will make our orientations about “our sex lives”, and in fact act as though they’re graphic details about those, and say we can’t talk about them to anyone but a partner™ because in this toxic argument talking to anyone but a partner™ about sex is Bad. They will say aro aces should just claim to be straight so as to not say anything “inappropriate” about our private lives. They will say or imply having sex without experiencing romantic attraction is bad and the same as using people, to shit on aros, and they will make assumptions about the sex lives of aros too. They will ignore and make fun of members of oppressed groups who say having their ace/aro identity sexualized in such a way harms them and acts in tandem with -isms they experience in nasty ways

The anti-ace/aro crowd needs to stop and needs to start treating themselves as no more exempt from perpetuating bigotry than the ace and aro communities

Summary: Your boyfriend is on tour and missing you very much, so he sends you a very “touching” video. ;)

Warnings: Graphic detail, mutual masturbation, exhibitionism, and scarf kink. (Yes, seriously, scarf kink. I think I’m just making up new kinks now. *facepalm*) Read at your own risk!

You were lying across your bed in your fuzzy cat pajamas, listening to Exo and doing some homework when you got a text from your boyfriend, Baekhyun. You smiled to yourself, figuring it was one of his usual good night messages. He always sent you a text right before bed, wishing you to sleep well and saying that he loved you. However, he had been texting you even more frequently ever since he left for a short tour overseas.

He kept saying that he missed you. This didn’t surprise you, since Baekhyun was a really thoughtful guy. You considered meeting him to be the best thing that had ever happened to you. He was so loving and sweet, truly an angel on Earth. He shared everything with you, so even though you had only been together for a few months so far, you felt like you had known him forever.

After a string of bad boyfriends who had clearly only wanted sex from you, Baekhyun was like a breath of fresh air. He had single-handedly restored your faith in the male gender by never ogling your body but always being the one to look after your heart with such tender love and care.

In fact, you realized that he had never even mentioned sex to you once. You were sure that he had no such thoughts about you. You were totally fine with that, since you didn’t have interest in such things at all. After all, true love was pure and innocent, right? Of course! That was what made it so romantic and exciting!

You squealed to yourself gleefully, hugging the Baekhyun-shaped pillow on your bed (which he had given to you) with both arms, then you picked up your phone to check his message.

Upon clicking it, a video started to download and you noticed the words “video message” which you had missed before entirely in your excitement.

This seemed even more interesting to you, since seeing Baekhyun was always the best option, but what would he be doing in this video? You figured he would probably sing. He sometimes sent you videos of him singing, either because he just felt like it, or because he wanted to sing you to sleep.

After loading, the video launched and the face of your beloved filled the screen of your phone. You squealed and fanned your face because, as always, he was incredibly handsome and it made you feel like your heart would leap out of your chest and sail out of your throat, exiting your body entirely and thus killing you instantaneously. It was an overwhelming and exhausting sensation, sure, but such was the feeling of dating Byun Baekhyun.

“Jagiya, annyeong!” he sang adorably, making finger hearts at you and causing you to squeal some more. He then began to just talk to you comfortably, filming himself with his phone as he walked around his hotel room. Apparently he was getting ready for bed.

“So I’m stuck in this hotel room right now and it’s so boring. I’d much rather be there with you, but I can’t.” he pouted dramatically, and you grinned at your phone. “So I thought I would send you a special message. Are you ready? Okay, let’s start!”

Third Wheel

It’s late to the party, but here’s my submission for Round 4 of The Great Fic Writer Scavenger Hunt

A week into Dean and Cas’ newfound relationship and Sam’s only just managed to find peace. He’s not sure what part is worst. There’s the way their voices still get all dewy when they call each other “partner” in their public, fake FBI capacity. Or how Dean goes out of his way to feed bits of his meal to Cas. They ought to sit together on one bench, but nooooooo, Cas wants to see Dean’s eyes. Then, of course, there’s the litany of “sounds Sam should have gone his whole life not hearing” thanks to paper thin motel walls.

Still, of all the awful, terrible things, the absolute worst, Sam suspects, is the incident of last night.

It had been late, Dean had been driving, Sam asleep in the front seat. Earlier in the day, Cas had been sitting shotgun, but he’d offered it to Sam so he could stretch out and sleep. Which, for the record, Sam had been doing.

Until he woke up with Dean’s hand trailing up his thigh.

It’s hard to say which of the Winchesters were more mortified by the mix-up. Dean, of course, had snatched his hand away, but Sam decided to wrap his jacket over his legs. Just in case.

Thankfully, as horrifying as the incident was, it had fueled Sam’s argument that Dean and Cas should work a case alone. Sam could stay in the Bunker, work the research angle, and get a quiet night’s sleep for the first time in a week. Dean and Cas would be free to engage in whatever activities they saw fit after the hunt had ended.

Dean agreed and, the next day, he and Cas were trekking off to Idaho to handle a couple werewolves.

Sam’s loving the peace. So far he’s gone on an uneventful grocery run, eaten out without attracting a single strange look, actually managed to get some viable research done and had a blessedly quiet night’s sleep.

Of course, that’s when Cas calls.
