Pairing: Bucky(POV) X Reader(POV) ft. other members of the avengers team.
Word Count: 2.1K
Summary: y/n a member of the Stark scientific research team meets Bucky after waking him up from cryo sleep. She fits him with a new arm and a friendship begins to grow.
A/N: This is a story about two people building a great friendship and then slowly falling in love. y/n is a strong, independent, and smart scientist. She meets Bucky when she wakes him up from cryo sleep and they become friends. This is going to have all the angst / best friends falling in love / fluff / drama / & eventual smut ;) that I can possibly fit in it. This fic is going to be looong! So far my document is like 66 pages. So editing is hard If you catch any grammatical or formatting errors let me know.
Bucky’s mind is fuzzy, the last remnants of his dream chased away as he realizes he’s awake, only to quickly groan with regret. Why did he think grading papers on his bed was a good idea?
He pads into the living room and pauses mid-yawn, scrunching up his face in confusion. He can’t tell if he’s hallucinating or if (Y/N) is really in his living room, giggling with Sam.
“So students leave reviews of their professors on this site? I can’t imagine it’s very credible.”
“Credible or not, it’s pretty great. Check it.” Sam clears his throat into a falsetto. “Professor Barnes is a modern-day Mr. Darcy without the brooding and inability to communicate properly with women. He’s total man crush Monday material!”
“Modern-day Darcy? Classic romantic lead trope. Not too shabby, I’d say.”
“(Y/N)?” Bucky sleepily rubs his face and waves as his girlfriend and roommate finally notice his presence. “You’re here? You should have woken me.”
“You looked so peaceful, I couldn’t bring myself to wake you up.” (Y/N)’s face melts into a full smile as she places a hand over her hair. “Babe, how is that you look so cute even though you just stumbled out of bed?”
“I dunno?” Bucky mumbles, still half-asleep. He trudges to the couch and cuddles into (Y/N)’s side. He lets out a tired yet content sigh as (Y/N) gathers him into her arms and gently strokes his hair. “Hi, doll,” he breaths, happily looking into her eyes.
“Hi,” (Y/N) beams. “You know they say the butterflies go away after the honeymoon period?”
“It’s been three years, but ooh baby, you still got it,” (Y/N) sultrily winks as she pulls Bucky towards her for a kiss.
How long have you been embroidering things? You are truly an artist! I just finished my first project, but it was all in backs stitching, I'm trying to decide what to do next! This page is super inspiring. :) What's a good picture type thing for a beginning to do? My first project didn't turn out too shabby either, if I do say so myself. :)
I have been embroidering for serious for a few years now, but I learned how to do it as a kid so I couldn’t give you a definitive timeline. I’m not sure what to suggest for you to try! What do you like? What do you want to see on your wall that isn’t available?
If you want to go for something that’s a pretty straightforward line drawing, get your cute buns over to Sublime Stitching and check out their available patterns. Everything is cute and looks pretty easy to do.
The afternoon began with wild collecting for my besom.
After soaking the bristles to make it easier to tie them in a bundle, it was time to assemble them.
Plastic ties made the job relatively easy. I then wound wire in between the gaps beside the ties, tucking the ends of the wire into the bundle. Then I cut the ties carefully away so as not to cut the bristles. Finally, I wet some twine and tied that around the bundle, evenly spaced. I found a branch already cut and whittled at the ends in the woods by the river, it was as if someone had played around and fashioned a sort of spear with it and then just left it there! It made for the perfect handle for my besom. Jammed that handle in the middle of the bundle hard, and that sucker isn’t going anywhere!
I put blue ribbon over the wire to make it look pretty (I think my Goddess likes blue, as it comes up a lot in different things lately) also, dammit, if I am going to own a besom, it is going to look pretty because I deserve it! Cost of my besom? $4.00 for plastic ties and ribbon from the dollar store, that’s it! And of course, the time that it took to gather the bundle from the wild, and search for a handle, all in all it took roughly 2 hours. Not too shabby, if I say so myself.
Now I just have to cleanse the besom (with some sandalwood incense) and ask the God and Goddess to bless it.
I feel it’s relevant for Wiccans and Witches to know you CAN make your own broom at home with just a few things collected from nature. No, you don’t have to be very good at putting craft projects together, and this honestly was very easy to assemble.
It really bothers me when I hear of others involved in the craft who have literally spent a couple hundred bucks easy on a besom/broom they bought online. Unless you WANT to spend that money because it saves time, etc., fine. But otherwise, I feel you are being taken advantage of because no one has told you the steps to make your own.
You will need:
Twigs, straw, whatever for the bristles
Long plastic ties
A small hand saw, or as in my case I used a bread knife to cut the grassy-like straw
Scissors or garden clippers to cut straw/twigs
Branch for the handle
Blade to whittle point in the branch
If you have ANY questions, please message me. It must be mentioned, this was the first broom I’ve ever put together, so if I can do it, you can too.
Here’s my gc collection at the moment. Not too shabby if I do say so myself! My goals for next year are mostly super pricey stuff like PSO1+2(PLUS), Baten Kaitos Origins, RE 0-3, and a few other titles such as Godzilla DAMM, Chibi Robo and other stuff. Any recommendations are welcome!
I was on the fence about posting this mani since I had it on for about a week before I decided to photograph it. It’s literally been a few years since the Cath Kidston craze took over nail art, but I thought I’d bring it back to see my progress. Not too shabby if I do say so myself.
I work at a bar/restaurant in downtown Seattle, and I walked into work yesterday and one of my coworkers came up to me and said “Hey, do you want to take this table over here? They’ve been playing ping pong forever and have only ordered Arnold Palmers and are just too over the top hipster for me” so I said sure and walked over to them to see if they wanted to order anything else. It wasn’t long before i realized these “over the top hipster ping pong players” were actually the entire band of Foster the People and I was their waitress! They were just there to get in some ping pong before performing at Bumbershoot Music Festival haha. Definitely not too shabby of a shift if I do say so myself.
Not too shabby if I do say so myself. I thought since tonight is a full moon, I’d create my first spell jar!
I was on a time limit the only thing I could think of was a love attraction jar and unfortunately couldn’t do everything I wanted to do. Ah well, maybe next time. This took me about thirty-fiveish minutes to complete and I got finished in the nick of time.
What I used:
Cinnamon (Ground + Stick)
Paprika (For an extra kick in the pants)
Crushed (red) rose petals
1 (small) white candle
1 pink candle
A sprinkle of rain water
My white candle had been burned down to the point where you could see the end of the wick through the wax so I decided to go ahead and finish it off. I had just run out of small pink candles so ever so carefully did I pour the pink wax from another pink candle onto the jar and let it dry since this was a little last minute of me. Thankfully my dad offered to move it later tonight onto my windowsill so it can moon bathe until I come back to his house. Happy full moon to you all! x
Who is game for bringing #Hetalia cosplay back? I discussed this very topic with several people at my event this weekend and couldn’t help fishing out my old America wig 🇺🇸✨ this was also the second wig I ever styled, not too shabby if I do say so myself #APH
