what kageyama really means:
hinata, i am quite socially inept and it's difficult for me to successfully show my feelings and respect for you, largely because of my behavior in junior high and how it affected me. however, you were arguably the first person at karasuno to put your trust into me and that has had a lasting effect on our relationship. i cannot communicate how much i appreciate you and how much you have helped me become a better setter, teammate, and person, but the use of this word is the best i can do. though you make a countless amount of errors and you can sometimes be too energetic, loud, and unnaturally confident, you astound me with your natural reflexes, speed, stamina, and jump. whenever you make a mistake and waste your talent, it makes me upset because i know you are capable of so much more. i have a unique relationship with you, unlike any of our other teammates, because you have truly helped me feel comfortable and realize that i should just accept who i am. i often have strong feelings of dislike towards you, but i love you for who you are and i would never change any aspect of you, even when you fumble a receive or miss a block. you really are one of the dumbest people i have ever met, but i wouldn't change it for the world.
The way both Poisond and I see Underswap is everyones personalities are mostly swapped, but they keep some of their key traits from the original game. Like Sans being able to read facial expressions and body language really well, Paps dislike for really awful puns (but he doesn’t mind good ones), Alphys still a big shipper and actively ships people together, Undyne doesn’t stop working ever (unlike UT Alphys) and she still plays the piano, Toriel is still more reclusive and to herself, Asgore is more outgoing (which is why being in the ruins is putting a toll on him), or how Dapperbot (Napsta) still talks with “………” and is a lot more introverted. Because of this, certain events would play out differently since the personalities are a bit different than in the original game. And that’s what Royalblue is. It’s how we personally see Underswap and have seen a lot of other people do it as well.
Plus, swaping bodies but making no change at all in the character’s personalities would be boring af. It seems… pointless to be done that way.
At least in our opinion. It’s more fun to mix it up~
It’s only Gaster and River that you wouldn’t really know anything about since the game doesn’t tell us anything about them besides Dings being the Royal Scientist before Alphys in UT. That we had almost complete free rein over. Things would be a little different for them if RB was swapped back to UT, but that’s something for another day way down the line that I’m open to talking about but not on this blog since it would be in UT timeline and not Underswap.
Little underrated Perc’ahlia detail from last week:
Percy initiates The Treasury Moment by calling Vex “little elf girl.” Vex chuckles in response, because she knew it was a joke, but then warns him about “the danger zone.” To which he responds by immediately dropping the gag and moving on to his much more enjoyable proposition.
It’s such a nice “show don’t tell” moment. That little exchange is really all you need to see to know that they’ve talked about their relationship and boundaries and how to let each other know what’s Too Far and how Too Far it is without using more than a few words.
I’m not hating and I’m actually far from it. But I’m really sick and tired of people talking about trans marco!!!
Like where the hell did it come from. It just kinda showed up one day and won’t leave. I understand how amazing and ground breaking it would be if a trans character was represented in a kids show especially if it was one of the main characters. But guys listen….its not going to happen as bad as a lot of you want it is just can’t see it happening and if it were I think there would be alot more character development for Marco towards it. So please stop before you guys end up broken like makorra and zutara shippers
