I’ve been watching them for almost 6 years now and although I never got the chance to see them in real life, these two movies/videos really summed up everything I love about them and more. The performance was incredible (cringey but amazing) and the documentary brought tears to my eyes. Thanks to Dan & Phil for always making us constantly smile and inspired with everything you do! Also thanks to the Phandom for embracing me into this community. This is the most fun, I’ve ever had :’)!
ok but literally falsettos was the queer representation that ive been clamoring for my whole life and its honestly just so refreshing???
like you have all these characters who are allowed to be wholeheartedly gay, not just off offhandedly mentioned to be in passing and then get continuously toned down. but like, actually showing these characters in relationships, and struggling, and consistently showing affection towards each other honestly i didnt realize what i was missing out on until this came into my life
maybe ive just been poking my head into the wrong media corners but never in my whole life have i seen a gay couple be allowed to be so overtly sexual (especially for something that came out in the 80′s holy moly)
and on top of seeing queer characters who have realistic relationship struggles, the also show these guys having fun! like ???? i dont get to see that a lot in media!!! lesbians and gay men, having a genuinely good time with each other???? without being a side plot????? fuckin incredible!!!
i didnt mean to ramble like this but like….falsettos man…..god bless
