Yuri!!! On Ice Season 2 - Possible Release Date Being Announced This Weekend

For those of you who don’t know, this weekend Mitsurou Kubo, aka creator of Yuri!!! On Ice, and the directors, artists and voice actors of the show will be hosting an event known as Yuri!!! On Stage. Usually at events these kinds of events, big information is revealed, and that could mean we could be getting some information of the highly anticipated season 2.

Season 2 is already in the works, as animators have already begun working. News has revealed that Kubo should have the script for the next season before the end of this year. Staff members have also been making trips around the world, visiting St. Petersburg and Moscow on more than one occasion. So, this can confirm that season 2 will be taking place in Russia, with Yuuri training with Viktor for the upcoming FS season. (where season 1 left off)

Will we get a trailer this weekend? Who knows if we will. Fans who have been following the writers and staff of the show are highly anticipating one. And the staff is very aware of how badly the fans want their second season. Director Yamamoto stated in an interview that she has plenty of ideas that she wants to put into the next installment, and she came up with these brilliant ideas when she was editing episode 10 of season 1. (When Yuuri and Viktor exchanged rings).

This may hint to something happening between Viktor and Yuuri (wedding), but then again, I’m just assuming things and jumping straight to conclusions. Will we get a wedding in the second season? Again, it is unclear as to right now, but I would keep it in mind. (I sure hope we get it, tbh)

I will be keeping you all posted by giving you updates. If any of you have any questions, please feel free to leave one in my asks box and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Okay so I went on a Scavenger Hunt™ for Anti stuff. Here we go.

•1 Five Nights At Freddy’s: Sister Location episode 1. The first time we see Anti. Almost everyone knows this already, but I thought I’d start from the beginning. He appears a few times (I don’t have the exact times, but if you’d like to find them go ahead and add them!) throughout the video. The secret message in the description of this video is above. “You waited a long time Now I wake”

•2 FNAF: Sister Location ep 2. “Follow the signs Release me” Now what does this mean? I mean obviously these little hints are here for a reason, which leads to the release of Anti. We’ll get to that later.

•3,4,&5 FNAF: Sister Location ep 3. BUCKLE UP OKAY. SO! I never noticed this before, like I just now saw this, he says “I see you understand me, keep watching” and there’s a link. The link takes you to a video (5) with the description “Very good you may be worthy” (4). The video is all black and it has creepy sounds in the back. It legitimately gave me the shivers. Clever, clever boy. ALSO in episode 3 it’s like legitimately 2 seconds in when Anti shows up. As soon as he top of the mornin whip cracks, Anti pops up.

•6 FNAF: Sister Location ep 4. As the Sister Location series comes to a close, the Anti vibes still continue to grow. He’s also in this video. The description reads “Its almost time I grow stronger” he’s ready to show himself.

•7 The Big Reveal™. It’s Halloween so Jack is carving a pumpkin, but throughout the video Anti is showing up. Eventually, towards the end of the video (I forget the exact time) Anti shows up and he kills Jack. This is when Anti speaks for the first/longest time. We get an earful from this maniac, which the community just ate up. FINALLY he comes! The description reads “You wanted me well here I am”. The day after this Jack posts a vlog saying Anti won’t be coming back, but boy was he wrong.

•8 Detention. So Detention was a very good game for what we had seen of it at the time. The first episode was creepy, but didn’t actually have any Anti appearances. Which, it is February at this time so that would make sense. We weren’t really expecting it. Then Detention ep 2 has this little message in the description “Fogotten or just too afraid to remember?” I remember when Anti popped up for like a split second and I sat for at least 5 minutes going back and trying to screenshot every tiny part to get everything Anti was doing. Ahh, good times.

•9 Detention ep 3. Episode 3 was a doosey. The episode itself was really good and creepy, but also I mean Anti. What did you expect, that’s what this whole post is about. Description says “Broken spirit let me out”

•10 Detention ep 4. The end of Detention had many Anti appearances. I think there was like 3-5 (again, not sure.) The description in this video said “Betrayal, neglect, mistake” which is basically us forgetting about him. Or, at least that’s what I think. The thumbnails for this series had hella Anti vibes, which was awesome. I love the thumbnail for this episode.

•I don’t have any more pictures (I realized while writing this I didn’t check some videos so PLEASE add what I missed onto this!) but we don’t see Anti for a little bit after this. I believe we don’t see him again until PAX takeover. Well, there’s hints and things like on social media (Instagram) but we don’t get an ACTUAL appearance until PAX (I think.)

•PAX Takeover. I cleared my whole day so I could watch that heckin livestream because I couldn’t go to PAX. So I was sitting and waiting for it to start and when it did my computer was being dumb so I went to use my phone. As soon as Jack said “We’re gonna record a little message.” And Anti popped up MY PHONE CRASHED so I was screaming because Anti and my phone. Then I found the video (I STILL get giddy watching the video) and I got chills when Anti said “I’ve always been here…Always watching”. He also said “You found someone new, threw me aside.” Which I, and some others, thought this was an indirect at Dark because Dark had just had his reappearance on A Date With Markiplier. Jack later confirmed Anti was talking about Sean not Dark.

•Most recent Anti appearance. So a few days ago Epidemic episode 1 had a split second where Anti glitched in. Whether this was just a way to make the video feel better or some insight (I can’t think of the right word) into another return is unknown. Maybe he will come back, maybe it was just a tease. Who knows?

•Anti Lore™. Jack has been dropping some SICK Anti lore during livestreams and stuff. It’s been pretty great. Here recently he’s been re-blogging stuff about Anti A LOT. Does he have something planned? Probably not, but you bet your buttons I’m gonna theorize about it!

So that was my Anti Scavenger Hunt. It’s been a blast! I would’ve gone more in-depth, but this was a nice time. Maybe next time I do one of these I’ll work a bit harder. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if I missed something or was wrong about something add on to the post. I want to hear thoughts about this. Send stuff to my ask box too because I want to talk about it. Anyways, sorry for the long rambly post! Enjoy!

Title: “The Spooky Truth with Dr. Jones,” (2/3) | 1 • 2 • 3

Summary: Emma Swan is a podcaster looking for a semi-interesting story. Dr. Killian Jones is a paranormal investigator who doesn’t believe in the paranormal. Emma Swan absolutely does not want to write this story—but it seems to be writing itself. A CS Black Tapes AU.

Notes: This was supposed to be a one-shot. And then it was two chapters. And now it’s three. I rather viscerally hate myself, but I hope you enjoy this chapter. I’d like to thank and/or notify a # of awesome people who helped with this or would like to be kept… abreast: @seastarved @zengoalie @ofshipsandswans @abbadons-little-witch @the-reason-to-sail-home @businesscasualprincess @swanandapirate @piratesails. Also on Ao3.

+ And that’s how it starts. To David’s immense happiness, the podcast becomes incredibly popular in just the first few episodes. They manage to get some spooky, soft folk music for the opening theme music, a couple of advertisers, and soon enough, she’s no longer doing a series on “odd jobs.” Instead, it’s a full-blown podcast about debunking claims of paranormal phenomena. And getting the infamous Dr. Killian Jones to admit he was wrong. Maybe. A little bit.

Prisoners of Love Discussion Part 4: The Ghost Zone 1/4 (Rant)

Welcome, friends, to the dimension of green goop, warped buildings, random doors, and screaming. Aside from Poindexter’s lair, this is our first look into the ghost zone, and while it doesn’t get as much time to sink in as I would’ve liked, there’s still plenty to talk about.

So let’s get talkin’.

The night before episode 5 of ANF came out someone commented on one of my posts saying that they already played it and Javi died and I literally almost had a heart attack and the whole time I was playing the episode I was anxiously waiting for Javi to die, down to the last second– like when they were saying bye to Clem at the end I was waiting for someone to jump out of the bushes and shoot him or something. I don’t know who the person who commented was but I’m pretty sure they’re actually the devil… like why would they do that to me? were they not hugged as a child? who hurt them?

Ausiello: Talia and Nyssa’s family reunion in tonight’s finale is “pretty al Ghul-ish from the second you see them on screen together,” actress Lexa Doig tells TVLine. And when the dust from the battle settles between the sisters, “There’s a clear winner, for sure. They choreographed a really wicked fight scene. And our stunts double just killed it in terms of selling it. I will say it’s pretty epic, but the whole episode is epic. It’s like one ‘holy s—t!’ moment after another.”

I’ve done my fair share of “pushing”. You two just never saw me in action! Breaking every rule, taking on the authorities, so I could indulge in the joys of life on Earth!

Someone with amazing timing saw I would be stuck in a pit of exhausted suffering right about now, so they lovingly planned to gift me with an entire episode about Pearl being an awkward gay nerd but also a terrifyingly competent and daring rebel with a cause. And she’s so proud! So proud of herself! I am so glad.

Pearl has had some amazing episodes but I’ve been aching for one that isn’t overflowing with tears and her being horribly sad and grieving and suffering. And suddenly here I got a hugely fun blatantly gay kinda rom com-y/teen movie thing with hints about Pearl’s background (which we still know practically nothing about - but I’ve been hoping, now that the Pink Diamond reveal is out of the way, we’ll finally, finally get some concrete info there). And I know I love reading into things but I feel like there was so much here! Down to stuff like “I’m not exactly a citizen, Steven!” which was both a hilarious scene and also kinda stung, considering what we do know of where Pearl comes from.

I really really really enjoy the mix of “Pearl just has a type”, “most obvious rebound ever”, and “it’s all a bunch of thinly-veiled allusions to Pearl’s backstory”. It works on all three levels, really - Steven bringing up the “she kinda looked like mom” elephant in the room without mercy, similar to Mr. Greg, was beautiful, as was Pearl’s passionate insistence that it wasn’t about that at all, that she was done with living in the past. She isn’t quite all the way there yet - Mystery Girl being a very blatant Rose reference does point to that, even as she also by being human and way out of Pearl’s comfort zone represents Pearl making an effort to move on and reinvent herself (once again) and it’s all, especially their eventual interactions, portrayed as a very positive thing. I don’t know, just… even with the way the episode is sprinkled with “the past” and some Back In My Heyday, Pearl is really genuinely trying and I love her for that, but I feel like she’s also very clearly succeeding. I’m also happy about the feeling that we’re getting to see Pearl more and more, not “Pearl at her worst lashing out while having a breakdown and deep in the clutches of grief”.

It delights me personally as a huge fan of the Terrifying Renegade that the angle of the whole thing is definitely Pearl stepping out of her comfort zone and experimenting and fighting expectations first, and only then does Rose Mystery Girl enter the picture, providing extra motivation and opportunity and the final push to very meaningfully run that red light (and flirting with Pearl and witnessing her shenanigans and her driving skills and seeming to genuinely like her right back and appreciate her company despite expectations or any kind of “cool punk girl disregards/rejects/mocks the nerd” tropes, basically here’s me predictably at it again with the “Pearl was a rebel before meeting Rose and also Pearlrose was requited how do you do”). I’m also happy to hear Pearl bring up the “joys of life on Earth” - I feel that way too often people forget or brush off all the non-Rose parts of Pearl’s motivation, such as the “I will fight in the name of Rose Quartz and everything that she believed in”, the “knight - completely dedicated to a person and a cause”. I mean, they don’t pose her saluting the flag of the rebellion on all the official art for nothing.

That car chase was wonderful all around (and there is increasingly no doubt in my mind that Pearl was the getaway car driver spaceship pilot when Rose took out Pink Diamond). Amethyst’s reactions to Pearl being “hardcore” (and a “total bada[tire screech]”) parallel Back to the Barn in a lot of ways and they warm my heart so much. The amount of support and encouragement and really thoughtful guidance she offers to Pearl’s gay disaster self and how she’s adorably impressed by Pearl apparently having game. The way Pearl shows genuine investment in Amethyst’s interests and goes along with her and gladly spends time with her and doesn’t snap or talk down to her a single time. They’ve come so far. Everything is beautiful.

Anyway I’m very tired and not sure how well I am expressing myself atm, but what I definitely mean to say is I have never in my life gotten so emotional over someone running a red light.

Hey, Kayla, I've been reading your blog for a long time, you are the best. I'm so bitter lol, and have no one to share my sadness with. I remember how my Ianthony obsession started ages ago and now what... I remember how I first discovered them and watched lunchtime nights out, because I felt like they were more real there. I remember how they posted 3 times a week and it was only them. I can't believe they are over, I was sure that they are the only one who will be together forever. Wow.

Hiya, Anon! First of all, thank you for your kind comments. :) Second, I too can remember such a time. I actually recall a time when we had FIVE videos to look forward to per week. Lunchtime/SIB on Mondays, Gametime W/ Smosh on Wednesdays, and a Smosh episode/BTS/Gamebang on Friday. It was a great time, but sadly nothing lasts forever. I knew that one of them was eventually going to leave, but I didn’t expect it to be so soon. I wish we could go back to that time sometimes… Back when Ian’s worst enemy was the Barbershop Pole and Anthony’s “favorite food changed” once a year. But, as I mentioned in my PREVIOUS ANSWER, there’s a silver lining to everything. Something good will come out of this in time. We just need to be patient and TRY to be supportive of their decisions. <3

anonymous asked:

How do you feel about miraculous ladybug? I've been stuck on your fic green jar since you posted the second piece and was not sure if you would be against fanart for the jar?

1)  I am never against fan art. It’s an honor and people should have fun with fandom.  I’m very happy you’ve enjoyed my little piece of randomness

2)  I’ve only watched a handful of Miraculous Ladybug episodes actually. Like most fandoms, I encountered it when an author I already liked wrote something for that show and then I read more fics. Based on my impression from those episodes, it’s cute and it has potential. Adrien-as-Chat amuses me, Plagg is a riot, and Marinette clearly needs to take a deep breath and calm down at points. She’s cute but over the top at times.

Honestly, I think the show could be good, but it’s very episodic in season one and they’re writing it for a younger age group. They haven’t delved into some of the more interesting points they could explore, and there’s a bit of a Hero trope to how they treat Marinette/Ladybug with her being The Best even though she’s supposed to be one of a pair. I’m pretty sure the producers want girls to emphasize and support her, but they do it at the cost of other characters at times.

(Also, I am very frustrated that there are three “official” orders for watching the episodes. That’s how little continuity matters in season 1: you can watch the episodes in different orders without missing too much. In addition, there’s some repetitiveness to the animation when they reuse cuts like the transformation sequence frequently, but that’s sort of expected from the genre.)

So my opinion after 6ish episodes: good, cute, could be better, but might improve.

Dude, that Episode Ignis trailer. I was horrified the entire 56-57 seconds of it! Like, I need to know what happened to my baby, but actually seeing it happen is gonna be so freaking PAINFUL! Bruh, I was a second away from crying, dude? And it was only the trailer! Ugh. My Heart.

I’m still too scared to watch it. :(

I was saying in some post, I really am not excited about Episode Ignis. I’m really looking forward to it because of the story and playable Ignis (he’s my favorite) and plot and all, but…”excited”? Not really.

The Gods were extra cruel with me when they gave me an overly-grown sense of sympathy/empathy (not sure of the term in english), so you know, I get easily hurt when it’s something I connect with. The boys, for example.

So nope, I know how much I’m going to cry and how much it’s literally going to hurt me in the feelings, so it’s not exciting, ahaha.

I mean, Ep. Prompto is built on angst, but I’m excited about it. It’s going to make me tear up, maybe even cry, but not to such a personal level as Ep Ignis’ gonna do, you know?

That’s what I get for taking things too personal. :(

July 17th 2017:

Hey guys~

A lot has changed since I threw up an update post, so I’ll start off with the Blog updates- then personal ones. Now that the word is out that Roseanne is creating a second show, I thought it might be time to bring this blog back from 2013!

I am not sure when I will start working on video links again! It’s a little sketchy still- but I am almost positive all of season one is still working. Let me know if you run into issues~

Episode Break Downs have been brought back!! Season 2 Ep. 2 is now posted- but the tags are not showing up under today’s episode. Hopefully that’s a glitch only found on this computer….

Roseanne |The Book will be worked on. I have no idea when But I really want to write it. (Mainly because I want to read it conclusively.)

Personal Updates:

Alrighty, I am just going to reintroduce who I am. Esp. since I am not the same girl who started this in 2013. ( I mean I am… but..)

My name is Kurstin Marie. I am turning 22 in just a little over a month. I am a Biggby Coffee Barista, in Lansing, MI. US. I am newly engaged to a LeVeque, and the date is set for 10.19.2019. I am an aspiring photographer/ stay at home mom. Recently, I lost 80 lbs in 4 months, which has changed my view on life. We can talk about that another day (Message me, seriously.) I just got a new puppy in December. I never knew puppies could be so demanding. I am living life very far from the edge and my favorite hobby is sleeping. So let’s have a glass of wine and fill up that bubble bath for some me time! (My second favorite hobby- baths.)

And if some boundaries do exist, they sure as hell have to be appropriate to THAT WORLD. Not OUR real, actual, modern, democratic (or whatever..) world.

I have something to say about all this mess.
First of all, why are some people condemning the show NOW when in season 2 TORTURE was present in almost every single episode? Almost every character had to suffer through hell, ROBBED of their blood against their own will, robbed of their bone marrow while BOUND to a table.
They were drugged (another topic that could easily trigger those with addictions).
Second of all, I didn’t really see a suicide attempt (in the last episode) considering that Raven was under mind control.
What I see right now is a bunch of people whom are trying to boycott a tv show clinging to every single gruesome or out of the “ordinary” scene.
If I’m not wrong… violence and darkness have always been part of the show since day one when Jasper was speared through the chest.

It’s a post apocalyptic tv show.
We should expect behaviours fitting that world and the world of people who came from the space and were obliged to live under strict rules to survive (horrible and outrageous rules).

Supernatural utilizes a lot of Jewish biblical lore in its mythos. Lilith, Cain, Prophets, Angels, Leviathans, Metatron, Nephilim and, recently, the Staff of Aaron and the Ark of the Covenant. They’ve even made use of Jewish folklore with the use of a Golem in one episode. The show creator and first show runner, Eric Kripke, is Jewish, as is the second show runner Sera Gamble (I'm not sure about Jeremy Carver) and some of its writing staff is also Jewish. (I/II)

Since it’s pretty much impossible to avoid using at least some facets of Jewish lore in Supernatural fanfiction, being that it’s woven into the fabric of the show, how should gentile writers precede when writing about it? (II/II)

Neither of us have seen it. Any followers have any suggestions?

friend: omg callie looks so young here, do you know what season this pic is from? (screencap of callie)

me: *doesn’t skip a beat* season 3 episode 12, 9 minutes and 12 seconds into the episode, fifth frame in, when she’s having a conversation with addison and she casually strokes addisons arm and says “hey! you haven’t ended up anywhere"

  • Henry: I heard all the noise outside. What happened? Where's Mom?
  • Charming: I hate to be the one to have to tell you this but she's the new host for the Dark One.
  • Henry: What?!
  • Charming: Yeah. It came out of Gold in a mess of black goo and attached itself to her.
  • Henry: Oh my God.
  • Charming: I know. It must be tough to hear but--
  • Henry: She got Spider-man 3'd.
  • Charming: What now?
  • Henry: Don't worry. I know what to do. You go see if the nuns will let us use their church bell. I'll make sure nobody indulges her if she starts a dance sequence. Text me the second you notice any wardrobe changes.
  • Charming:
  • Charming: None of that made any sense.
  • Snow: When does it ever?
As in Champagne

Oh, hello … This is part one of two, and was inspired by this picture that ducky17 posted, like, three months ago. I started this right after she posted it, and then a few weeks later she posted her first chapter, and I put this aside, but then feels came back and I figured the stories are different enough. (And my motto is ‘Everyone write it!’ so I should heed my own words, I guess.)

Anyway, like I said, this is the result of on and off writing for a couple of months … And I do plan to post a second part, which I’ve only JUST started. So, not sure when it’ll show up. But I think this part is about as done as it’s going to get, and I hope getting it out there will free up headspace for part two and other fics I’ve been working on.

Also, I figured with all the angst over episode 1, maybe it would be nice to have a clean slate/tabula rasa type fic, where they’re only just meeting each other. *shrugs* I don’t know, I just hope you like it! (Tags are at the bottom.)

Rae has just finished re-alphabetizing the punk section when she feels something warm curl around her ankle. She tenses momentarily before realizing who it is.

“Back again, Sandi?”

The cat purrs, rubs its head once more against her ankle/ and then leaps up onto the bins, surprisingly nimble for an animal of its size. Laying back across a row of CDs and pulling its paws up to under its chin, the cat knows exactly what it’s doing.

Rae reaches out to scratch it behind the ears briefly, a rueful smile on her lips. “I know what you’re after …” She makes her way over to the break room, and opens the door that reads: “Employees Only! KEEP OUT” glancing behind her. “Well? Are ya comin’ or not?”

The cat jumps to the floor and pads through the doorway like it was one of the crew at ShipWreckords. It’s been coming to the store almost every day for the past three weeks, having walked in with one of the customers the first time, surprising Rae when it sprang onto the counter and rubbed its whiskers on the corner of the till.

She had been a little annoyed at first, but the cat was so friendly and affectionate, purring and trilling and butting its little furry head against the back of her hand to be petted, she couldn’t help but fall a little bit in love.

It Started Last Summer

These are all my feels on the Season 6 Episode 21. I’ve regained control of myself to the point of being able to talk without stuttering. I am going to break it down slightly by topic but basically I’m just going to blurt out one long unreadable mess.

Overall impression:

The Stefan slash Caroline scene was brilliant. It was like they’d returned to their pre-romance relationship but with both of them acting like they were ten years older and basically openly admitting to each other they’re in love with no fuss about it. Then even after Caroline gave him the not-right-now line, incredibly there was zero angst and zero awkwardness, just talking to each other naturally when it was needed, not even debating whether to sit next to each other, and all that.

I had no idea the writers were capable of something as good as this part of the story and it’s like Stefan has completely flipped a page. He’s assertive, confident, honest and to the point. Almost every negative characteristic has been subdued or erased. You could notice this in all his interactions, Damon, Elena, Caroline. Contrast this with how he was with Elena, how he was as a single heartbroken guy after that crashed, how he was mid-season six with miss Forbes. It is like he has finally accepted himself and how his world works.

With all of Stefan’s issues I was never completely sold on him being Caroline’s “rock” but this edition of them is one I can get behind one hundred percent. They are already light years ahead of any of the brothers’ former romantic relationships.

How Stefan has changed around Caroline:

  • “You are avoiding me.” Or, I am going to point this out since I don’t like it and I actually know what I want now so we need to talk and I’m going to force you to cut the crap.
  • * Stefan taking Caroline’s hand the first time * Nope, still here.
  • * Stefan taking Caroline’s hand the second time * Sorry, still here.
  • “I feel the same way when I’m around you.” As in: “I am in love with you and I’m not even going to pretend otherwise but I’ll probably save saying those three words until I’m sure you’re not going to run away from me like a rabbit that’s about to get eaten by a Tyrannosaurus Rex.”

Why Caroline flipped the switch:

From my analysis post-“Stay”, episode 14:

“I think this is the first time Caroline has ever thought something like “I don’t know if I can live without him” and I think that scares the hell out of her. […] This will not make her completely “codependent” but it will draw her towards that polarity. […] Will she make mistakes? Absolutely certainly. She’s drawn out of her comfort zone. This is new territory.”

From the actual dialogue of episode 21:

“It started last summer when you moved away. I started obsessing over where you were, wondering why you weren’t returning my calls.

I told you I hated you when I felt ignored, missed my mom’s final moments because I was kissing you, and then she died…

And all I needed was for you to tell me that you felt something for me, and you didn’t, and it affected me so deeply that I did the worst possible thing a vampire can do.”

Now, some people don’t like that Caroline turned off her humanity for Stefan.

I do.

Her flipping it over the situation with Stefan is perfectly in character. She’s choosing the nuclear option on a feeling that she has never had before in her life and which is making her lose her self-control and emotional independence. Death is a constant. Liz dying, ultimately, is nothing surprising. Her falling head over heels for a guy who’s at this point basically acting like a black box, on the other hand, is “a control freak’s worst nightmare”.

I like the fact that the strength of her feelings smashes Caroline out of her safe territory. I like that she stumbles and that she falls, at least once. I like that she’s honest about her failings and that she makes the effort to reign it in.

There is no victory in managing to avoid the pitfalls of codependency if those are never an option since neither character cares enough.

How people misunderstand the discussion between them.

This isn’t Caroline “rebuffing Stefan’s advances”. This is them both telling each other in no uncertain terms that they are in love and Caroline telling Stefan that with all the turmoil in her life she doesn’t dare to take the plunge just yet. As in, not until the next episode.

This isn’t useless procrastinating. This is them actually doing the books on what’s happened in order to figure out what’s next.

This isn’t defeat. This is a huge victory.

How Steroline differs from Delena and why the writers put them through Hell:

The amazing thing - the truly amazing thing - about their simple little chat is that it somehow managed to validate season six for them, even the painful parts that many of us were annoyed by. It shows them, in a sense, as transformed individuals.

What the showrunners have done over this season has been to visit every single problematic aspect of both their characters and have it cause a very public meltdown. So, these two are finally taking charge of the situation and handling the issue head on, because they realize that the indecisiveness, the insecurities, the secrets and their hangups can be tolerated no longer.

They realize that they are in the middle of this situation whether they like it or not and they aren’t trying to sweep it under the rug or sugarcoat it, and they are also no longer in denial about their own feelings. They both act like grounded, mature and very sincere individuals.

In essence they are turning into the anti-Delena.

Why I owe an apology to Julie Plec:

I was worried before this episode. I was extremely worried. I was worried about the finale too. I’m not worried anymore.

I would even forgive them ending the season separated by some contrivance because this episode and their discussion was so great and so completely antithetical to almost everything we know about how TVD writes romances. This is on a different level. I didn’t take Julie seriously when she talked in that interview about “seeing if these characters are able to forge lasting, mature relationships” because I didn’t think she had it in her.

What I am realizing - and this is a most welcome surprise - is that I may have actually underestimated Julie.

Did anyone else get the feeling that this Ruby

maybe understood more of the situation than she let on? The pic above is when she stops for a second before leaving to stare back. There are several moments in the episode where you can see her thoughtfully watching everyone. She also said that weird “thank you” in the end.

I’m not sure but I believe she might play some bigger role in the future.

(also pirate eye gem design was cool lol)
