not really one for these kind of tv shows

Dan Wilson (Taylor’s co-writer) performing Treacherous at Room 5 in Los Angeles on November 14, 2012.

“Taylor Swift and I wrote a song in the Spring and we recorded it a few weeks later and I added some stuff to it and it was out a few months after that.

It was really, really a very smooth and fast (relatively speaking for me anyways) process and one of the questions that several people asked online was “What is it like writing with Taylor Swift?” and I just want to say, you know when she makes that amazed expression on the TV awards show like she is just astonished that she just won? That’s how she treats a new good idea in a writing session too and it’s incredibly motivating. It actually makes you want to come up with another great idea to make her make that astonished face.

One cool thing is that if she comes up with something really cool, she makes the same face also. I admire that kind of, you know, transparency.

We wrote this song called Treacherous that I’m going to play.”

so the Imposters tv show looks really great and promising:

  • we have a bisexual female con artist who seduces men and women, makes them fall in love with her, then takes them for all they’re worth
  • she is played by an israeli-american actress
  • three of her ex-spouses: two men and one woman, all decide to team up, track their mutual ex-wife down and get some payback. but in a non-threatening, this is a black comedy about con artists kind of way. all of them are still adorably hung up on her
  • one of the two men is Jewish, from a traditional Jewish family, and he’s at the center-stage of the trio
  • and the con artist girl is not painted as the dreaded Depraved Bisexual trope, but is a very likeable human being who is just doing her job, is a part of a larger scheme, and circumstances are more than they seem
  • and i got the sense that instead of her mark she is about to actually fall in love, for real, with a handsome MOC
  • also, Uma Thurman is there

Go Go ‘Power Rangers’ (2017 Review)

Is this good? Is this bad? Will my inner-child allow me to judge this appropriately?

“Power Rangers” is a reboot of the classic 1990s action-packed children’s show “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” which in turn is based on the Japanese tokusatsu “Super Sentai Series.” It’s directed by Dean Israelite and stars a cast of young actors, as well as Bryan Cranston, Bill Hader and Elizabeth Banks. The film is set in the small, fictional town of Angel Grove, where local high school students Jason Scott, Kimberly Hart and Billy Cranston (Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott and RJ Cyler, respectively) are all caught up in detention. Through a series of shenanigans, they come across Trini and Zack (Becky G and Ludi Lin, respectively) as they all discover an ancient, otherworldly construct. It’s there where they meet Zordon (Cranston) and his robot assistant Alpha 5 (voiced by Hader), and attain the responsibility of becoming a powerful team known as the Power Rangers, and to stop the destruction of an ancient, powerful witch known as Rita Repulsa (Banks).

This is the absolute perfect “what if” movie. The answer to “what if they remade ‘Power Rangers’ for adults” question. This is the film we asked for, albeit cautiously. We really owe it to franchises such as the “Transformers” series, because without them, this film would be seen as an impossible reach.

Being a millennial, I was very much a child when “Power Rangers” had its long television run, and I stayed true through each incarnation, from “Mighty Morphin” to “Lightspeed Rescue,” and considered myself a retired fan after “Dino Thunder” (I was already in middle school at the time). So yes, shameful as it is, I know my shit. As you can see, I want this to be good. But was it?

Yes. Surprisingly, it was pretty good. It’s not shockingly “I thought this was going to be shit but it ended up being amazingly amazing” good. It’s just good.

Here’s one thing that the film does better than the TV show: the acting. In a great departure from the “Saved by the Bell” mood that the 90s actors gave us, we now have grounded, realistic, rebellious teenagers. These new actors fit the “teenagers with attitude” description way better than the 90s actors ever did. You have Montgomery as Jason, playing the rebel who ends up having to deal with the most responsibility. Scott plays Kimberly, the girl who does a good job of not just being the obligatory female casting, or the fighting damsel-in-distress, unlike the original. The dialogue between these two is usually filled with charm, whether its casual banter or a proclamation of their contempt for Angel Grove.

But they do something different with the rest of the cast, which helps to modernize them. Cyler as Billy provides the humor and keeps the grittiness from ever getting lower and lower. Of the five teenagers, he is the one with the most charisma But he also serves to represent autistic teens everywhere. Yes, unlike the television counterpart, they made the Blue Ranger autistic, which is a pretty bold and commendable step for something based off a children’s property.

To keep the ball rolling, they then make Becky G’s Trini represent lesbians and confused, oppressed teenagers everywhere. Okay, this film had me at shedding light on autism, but encouraging more LGBT representation? Hats off to you, Lionsgate and Saban. Despite this, I found Becky G’s performance to be slightly annoying until about halfway through the movie, when they developed her much more, and gave her a more integral role in the plot.

While I praised the rest of the cast, I’d have to drop the axe on Ludi Lin as Zack, the Black Ranger.  Compared to all these convincing performances, Lin’s is absolutely haphazard. The way he is introduced is to set up how much of a cocky outsider he is, so naturally he’s by himself. He then starts speaking to himself, which is one of my absolute biggest pet peeves in a movie. I despise movie moments where normal-functioning people start speaking or quipping to themselves, the only sensible reason being that the writers assume the audience is too dumb to know what the character is thinking. I get it if a character has schizophrenia or another mental illness, or if the words are limited to comedic inner-banter, but not in this case. He’s someone with decent social-competence and no reason to quarrel with himself, other than provide exposition to the audience.

But like Trini, I did find him to be much less annoying when he opened up. They gave him a pretty touching backstory with his own troubles, and they make his motivations really apparent. And just to keep the ball rolling, he’s also the most foreign one of the group, being bilingual, unlike the original black ranger. Now that I think about it, many of the Power Ranger series’ casts don’t feature any overtly foreign characters, apart from maybe of an alien race.

That is precisely why this casting works. Whether or not you find these characters annoying, you can’t doubt that they’re there for a good reason, and you might even warm up to them as the movie progresses. They also help to introduce bouts of political correctness, but they aren’t preachy or condescending about it (which is really the only good way to go about political correctness). They represent people of various colors, mental states and social capabilities, showing (but not telling) that everyone is capable of extraordinary things as long as they have camaraderie.

I can’t say much about Cranston as Zordon. It’s a great homage, seeing as how Cranston has actually been a part of “Power Rangers” since the original television show, where he voiced many of the villains they face. I do love his voice-work here, and while it took some getting used to, I ended up really liking how they presented him. Rather than a chubby, floating head in a tube, they made him manifest into a wall, kind of like one of those pinpression toys. Not to mention they could have easily made him a one-dimensional character. But they went above and beyond to give him his own arc, his own set of feelings and doubts, and a world of lore behind him.

If you thought Alpha 5 was annoying in the television show, then you can rest your worries because Bill Hader fixed him up good. The original’s voice was so high-pitched and screechy; basically in typical 90s fashion (or how the 90s thought Aliens would sound like). This time, he just kind of does the same thing he did as Fear from “Inside Out,” except less screaming. His design had me slightly worried but I got used to it.

Now, Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa has me split down the middle. On the one hand, I do like that at least ONE person in this entire film is trying to recall the absurdity and campiness of the original series. At the same time, I found her to be over-the-top, and incredibly outlandish compared to the rest of the grounded cast. She is guilty of overacting here, which is both a blessing and a curse. The prosthetics on her are amazing though, from both start to finish. She starts out as an outright horror character, which is something I didn’t expect to see even in the gritty version of a children’s property.

If you kept up with me for this long, you know that a recurring theme here is that this film takes several risks that are rather uncharacteristic of a children’s property. Sure, there are hints of silliness to try and match the youthful appeal of the original, but they also throw in more mature bits of humor, about things such as drug tests and jacking off a cow (no joke). Me personally, I welcome these jokes. If anything, this is much more of a film for the adults who grew up watching “Power Rangers,” rather than children. The maturity really shines through in the form of character development and chemistry.

I must say that if you are bringing a child to watch this, keep in mind there will be mild swearing, and several mature jokes.

A common criticism (ad nauseam, pretty much) is that this film is a forced collision between two different movies. Two thirds of the movie is essentially the origin story, which focuses mainly on character development. At the same time, this is the section that appeals to the audience the most, whether you’re fans of the original or not. No one comes into anything titled “Power Rangers” and expects to feel for the characters. But through one particular scene where all the characters develop a kinship, we develop a peculiar attachment to each of them. It was at this moment that I’m glad these people are the ones I’m spending five more movies with (Yup, that’s right).

But when it sticks to the original, it definitely sticks, and that’s where the last third of the movie comes in. If you’re looking for cool looking suits fighting monsters with martial arts and gymnastics, you will get it. If you’re looking for giant robot dinosaurs battling another giant monster, you will get it. And MOST OF ALL, if you want to, at least once, hear the iconic theme song, you will get it. In all it’s pure, epic goodness.

But this is where I have to defend my appreciation for this movie, because many people will come in accusing me of being “blinded by nostalgia.” Despite having these borrowed features from the original show, there is really nothing nostalgic about it. The action here is far better than most of the show’s episodes. There is no silliness to be had apart from what would be silly by realistic standards (as opposed to having two obligatory bully characters).

Even some elements taken from the show are vastly different. Case in point: Rita, who in this film is actually getting shit done by herself rather than sitting up in some moon tower yelling at everyone.

Even the formula of the show is broken up here. Back then, everything was so fast-paced to where every time a new series was brought in, the new team of Power Rangers would unrealistically form intimate familial connection and extraordinary abilities within 20 minutes. This film actually shows you that the Power Rangers had to train for this, both physically and mentally. They didn’t just have these abilities bestowed upon them as a result of the plot rushing it together. You see them work for it, which is something I really appreciated about it.

I had to bring that up because many of the people who didn’t like this film will be quick to see reactions like mine and guilt me for “nostalgia.” But that “tone difference” that they’re faulting this for is the reason why you can’t pin nostalgia on this. All that means is that everything I liked about this film has been on its own merits, maybe (at most) perpetuated by quick little homages to the original.

I suppose before I wrap this up I should mention one more thing. Not really a problem, but more like something I wish happened: I wish they played the theme song more. It was wonderful hearing the iconic theme song, perfectly borrowed from the 1995 film, and at the height of its “Power Ranger-ness.” But I felt that if they really were gonna throw it in there, they should have totally owned it and at least left it playing for a bit longer. If not that, then at least make an instrumental cover to play in the background during the climax, rather than GODDAMN KANYE.

This is a film that has fans and critics alike split down the middle, but it’s pretty clear that everyone who hates it is hating it for the same two reasons: (1) It has a massive tone-clash towards the end, and (2) It caters way too much toward product promotion for Krispy Kreme donuts. I do agree with the latter, make no mistake. But when I hear people complain about this tone-clash, it reminds me of people who complained about the “slow parts” of every other superhero film, whether it’s “Captain America: Civil War,” or “Batman v Superman.” Apart from being a “Power Rangers” movie, this is also an origin story film. And for something as ridiculous as “Power Rangers,” it definitely requires a slow initiation process. To get us going on a six-movie deal, the creators will have to help casual viewers acclimate to the premise, because chances are the naysayers are the ones who skipped out on this franchise as children, and therefore missed their window of opportunity. Ironic how a movie based on a children’s property requires a mature level of patience from the audience.

As I said before, if you came into this wanting to see colored suits, martial arts, explosions and giant robots, you will get it. If you’re dragged into this film but appreciate elements like character development and chemistry, you will get that too. As someone who enjoys both, I actually would go so far as to say I loved this movie. I don’t care if I’m alone on this, but I can comfortably say that I loved the “Power Rangers” movie.

hamilton + hand holding headcanons

aha first time doing headcanons so let’s see how this works out

  • he’s all about pda with you
  • whenever the two of you are just walking somewhere or sitting together, he’ll take your hand in his
  • he’s just so smitten with you
  • whenever he holds your hand he sometimes looks down at your hands for a while
  • he smiles so much when you take his hand first
  • he always kisses you or your cheek or your forehead
  • just really affectionate as hell

  • john always intertwines your fingers tightly
  • he loves your hands because he’s convinced they were made for him
  • and only him
  • he will literally grab your hand if someone just so happens to look at you and glare at the person until they realize you’re his
  • you usually give his hand a squeeze to calm him down
  • he instantly softens when you do this
  • he’s a ‘kiss the back of your hand’ kind of guy

  • laf is super nonchalant when it comes to pda
  • he’ll just take your hand in his if he sees you don’t need it at that moment
  • will just run his thumb over your hand as though he’s trying to soothe you
  • just really wants to be touching you at any given time so holding your hand makes him happy

  • he’s usually really bold and confident but the minute you take his hand he’s a mess
  • he adores your hands because they’re just so small compared to his
  • you’re the one who usually brings his hand up to kiss it
  • he tries to hide how much he’s blushing
  • it doesn’t work though
  • really just adores you and whines a bit when you let go of his hand

  • is usually not the pda kind of guy but when you two are alone, you know he’s all about you
  • and only you
  • will literally drop anything he’s holding just to sit next to you watching your tv shows on the couch and hold your hand
  • he plays with your fingers a little bit
  • he’s just so fascinated with you that even the small gesture drives him wild
  • he tries to conceal his smile every time you told his hand but he can’t

  • all about the pda
  • so of course when you take her hand in yours when walking down the street or sitting in the cinema, she turns into a giggling mess
  • most likely swings your hands when walking
  • always compliments you on your nail polish or what not
  • smiles so so much

  • is really clingy when it comes to hand holding
  • she just really loves touching you in any way and will never let go of your hand when you do take a hold of hers
  • people expect her to be really awkward when it comes to hand holding or other displays of affection
  • they’re wrong
  • she’s honestly obsessed with the feeling
  • but she’ll never admit it to anyone

  • is also super clingy
  • will take your hand in hers if it’s cold and needs to warm up
  • or if it’s hot
  • really she just wants to hold your hand
  • also swings your hands when you walk
  • taps your fingers when your hands are together
  • she doesn’t realize she’s doing it but it happens every time

  • he’s so whiny and clingy when it comes to hand holding
  • like he physically never wants to let you go
  • makes sure to grab your hand when in front of hamilton
  • he just really likes showing you off
  • but also likes showing hamilton how good of a boyfriend he is
  • when you release his hand, you know he’s going to come rushing back and complaining
  • you don’t mind though

  • really is chill about it like laf
  • he just takes your hand in his as though he was born to go through with it
  • he doesn’t mention it or ask about it
  • whenever you’re in public or alone his hand just always finds yours
  • is the type of guy to hold your hand when sleeping
  • you really don’t like it since you can never get comfy in bed
  • but you’ll never say anything about it since it makes him so happy
BTS Reaction To You Wearing Lace

Namjoon: “Hey do you want to go to-,”he started to say as he was looking at his phone but was interrupted by the can hitting on the floor. You were trying to reach for Pringles that Namjoon hid from you. He stared at your behind biting his bottom lip as he cleared his throat trying hard not to stare at you,”What are you doing?” “N-Nothing I thought I saw a spider,”you lied as you got down from the counter. “You should pick up that can up,”Namjoon said as he turned around pretending to be walking away but slowly turned back to see you bending down. He fought the urge to pull your behind against his crotch as he walked away.

Taehyung: “(Y/N) have-,”he started but stopped as he saw you standing up and stretching revealing your behind. He licked his lips as he wrapped his arms around you. “Morning beautiful,”he whispered in his deep voice. You smiled as you turned to him pecking him on his lips. As you tried to pull away he pulled you back biting your lower lip softly as he placed his hand on your butt pulling at your underwear. “You don’t even have to try when it comes to turning me on,”he said as he started to walk both of you to your bed.

Hoseok: He woke up once he noticed that you weren’t wrapped around his arms.He looked up half asleep to see you getting up from bed your shirt lifting up just enough to reveal your behind. He smiled widely as he spoke ,”I really like waking up in the morning to this view.” He caused you to blush as you threw the covers over him,”Hoseok!”

Jin: He was laying on the couch watching a movie not really paying attention to you. You got annoyed and slumped down on the chair beside him. “Jin lets go out I don’t want to be laying around in my pjs all day,”you whined. “Go changed and come lay down with me for a little then we’ll see if we happen to go out or not,”he said smirking. You rolled your eyes as you went in front of the tv bending down a bit to turn off the tv. Your shirt lifted up as you quickly stood up and faced him blushing. He was staring at you with an eyebrow raised grinning,”Is this your way of getting me up from this couch?”

Jungkook: He’d be the shy one out of the bunch. When the two of you were playing fighting he was trying to tackle you down. “You aren’t getting away this time,”he said as he wrapped himself around you. As you tried to get away from his grip a bit of your shirt lifted up revealing your lace underwear. He blushed as he instantly ;et you go as he looked down blushing. “I.. I’m a bit thirsty want some water?”he asked trying to avoid eye contact.

Yoongi: You weren’t paying much attention to the show since this was the first time you were going to be staying the night with him and you forgot your pjs. “Yoongi? I forgot my pajamas can I borrow a shirt and maybe some shorts?”you asked shyly. “Yea sure there in the drawer,”he said. As you went to change his shorts didn’t fit you they kept on falling down as well as the shirt was just a few inches to short. “Great just great,”you mutter to yourself as you walked back to his room. “Your shorts didn’t fit me,”you said as you placed them back to were they belonged. “Turn off the lights and come they’re showing one of my interviews,”he said smiling. As you went over to the light and reached to turn off the lights the shirt went up and you blushed as you quickly tried to pull the shirt down. You heard him chuckle as you walked back feeling your face burning with embarrassment. “Kind of glad the shorts didn’t fit,”he said smiling at the tv not looking at your red face.

Jimin: ”Really?”he asked. “Well no I actually have no idea,”you said laughing. He frowned,”Wow I actually thought that happened.” You laughed as he got up and started tickling. “Jimin! Stop!”you said trying to get away from him. He quickly lifted you up and putting you on the counter. He smiled as his hands caressed your thighs. “Jimin,”you said swatting his hand away as you hopped off the counter and as you did your shirt was lifted up revealing your underwear. “Jagiya you know I really like lace,”he said biting his lip as he pulled you close to him.

Hello my beautiful anon! Thank you so much for your request! This is my first NCT request and I’m so happy that it’s about my beautiful baby Haechan! He’s my bias and I’m very excited to be writing about him! I know the story is a little long for an imagine, and also kind of rushed, but I hope you enjoy it none the less. Also, I’m sorry if it’s not as awkward and cute as you wanted, but I tried my best and I really hope I don’t disappoint! Please let me know what you think and please feel free to request again in the future! :)

Making out wasn’t like in the movies, that was for sure.

In the short time span you had been alive you had always believed that making out with the one you loved was this fun, cute thing that happened in every teen based TV show you had ever seen. That it was something exciting and pleasurable and something that couldn’t be explained. That it was something that just happened. Something that everyone naturally knew how to do. Something that was, well…easy.

Yet, here you were, leaning against the edge of the kitchen counter as Haechan, your boyfriend of 3 months, continued to kiss you passionately, your arms awkwardly hanging by your sides as his hands continued to confidently rub against the thin material covering your waist. Your mind continued to get increasingly foggier, the warm feeling of Haechan pressed against you traveling through your body and into your chest, your heart swelling in happiness but your body freezing in inexperience.

“Babe.” Haechan chuckled suddenly, his sweet voice forcing you out of your trance as he pulled away from you softly. “You can’t just stand there. Kissing is a 2-person thing, ya know. This isn’t a K-Drama.”

You looked up at him and laughed, his humor making you feel slightly better about the awkward situation. You then continued to let out a small sigh and shook your head lightly, your teeth gently pushing into your bottom lip as the right words failed to form in your mouth.

“I’m sorry.” You whispered, your shyness keeping you from meeting his eyes. “I’ve just never done this before and you obviously have. I don’t really know what to do.”

Haechan looked at you and laughed, his hand gently reaching out and gripping your chin as he forced you to look away from the ground and into his eyes. Pools of brown bored into your face as he gave you a small smile, gently removing his other hand from your waist and gripping your wrist, slowly moving your hand from awkwardly hanging by your side and to his neck, small shocks running through your arm as the warmth of his skin met yours.

“Well, let’s start with this.” Haechan recommended playfully, slowly moving closer to you as he brought your other hand to his waist. “I’m not expecting you to be some professional kisser or anything, but you at least got to do something with your hands.”

You let out a small laugh, looking into Haechan’s lively gaze as his notorious, yet charmingly devilish nature started to take over. You moved toward him slowly, your heartbeat speeding up as you could feel his warm breath fan against your lips. He gave you a small, reassuring smile as he leaned into you, his lips no more than a centimeter away from yours as he watched nervousness slowly return to your body.

“Don’t worry, jagiya. Practice makes perfect, right?” He asked, not even giving you time to answer before his warm and gentle lips reconnected with yours.

The kiss was tame at first, soft presses of velvety skin meeting one another and making your heart burst. You leaned into Haechan impulsively, your hand gently squeezing the back of his neck as all feelings of nervousness and inexperience quickly started to leave your body. Haechan’s fingertips slowly began to ghost down your neck and back to your waist, his sweet lips pressing harder against yours as he pulled you closer to him.

You froze for a moment, your mind becoming foggy once again as the new feeling became somewhat overwhelming. Haechan was comforting though, his gentle lips whispering small, reassuring words as tingles begun to crawl down your spine. You unconsciously shuttered, a small gasp leaving your lips as you pulled Haechan closer to you, warmth spreading through your body as you finally began to stop worrying and lost yourself in the kiss.

Haechan let out a small groan, slowly testing the waters by lightly grazing your bottom lip with his tongue. Another tremor ran through you, your mind racing with thoughts as you slowly opened your mouth and met your hot tongue with his. You couldn’t help but wonder if what you were doing was right or if you were taking a completely wrong path, but at this point you didn’t care, the pleasurable feeling of Haechan’s lips pressed against yours better than anything you had ever felt before.

The two of you only kissed for another minute or so, the need for air finally beginning to set in and forcing you to pull away. Haechan immediately tried to pull you to him again, his sly attempt at stealing another kiss making you giggle as you placed your hands on his chest and created a slight distance. Haechan looked down at you, a bright sparkle in his eyes as he stared down into your blush covered face.

“See, I told you not to be nervous. We just need to practice some more…a lot more…like right now more.” He said, a playful attitude lacing his voice as he smiled at you gently.

“You will NOT practice more.” A voice screamed, the exasperated tone ringing throughout the dorm and making you jump. You looked up immediately, eyes searching for the perpetrator before coming face to face with Taeil and the rest of the boys, the light shuffle of shoes against wood entering your ears as all of them quickly made their way into the kitchen.

“Taeil!” Haechan gasped, gently removing his arms from your waist as his eyes grew wide in concern.

“Don’t ‘Taeil’ me! What the heck do you two think you’re doing!?” He asked, hand reaching forward and pointing at the two of you as if you had just been caught making out by a parent or teacher.

You looked at him in surprise, eyes wide as fear and embarrassment set in. You were frozen in place like a deer caught in headlights, your face heating up as a deep blush made its way onto your cheeks and your hands fidgety as you heard some of the other boy’s chuckle at your state.

“Do you have any idea what it’s like to walk in on something like this?! Winwin is probably scarred for life now!” Yuta hissed, quickly grabbing Winwin’s arm and pulling him through the dorm.

“Yeah, we don’t want to see you getting it on in the kitchen! This is where we eat!” Mark scolded, quickly making his way past you and Haechan and into his room.

“You’re only children! Don’t ever let me catch you doing that again!” Taeyong demanded, a deep sense of authority lacing his words as he made his way into the living room and turned on the TV.

You heard a chorus of ‘yeah’s’ and ‘for reals’ as the rest of the members quickly made their way inside, each of them giving you and Haechan the stare down as all of them ended up lounging in the living room. You looked at Haechan with wide eyes, not knowing what to say or what to do, and gave a slight shrug, hoping he would say something to lighten the awkward situation.

“Hey, Haechan. I’m watching you, buddy.” Johnny called out, eyes boring into his before secretly giving him a small smirk and a giant thumbs up.

I really appreciate what they chose to call the video.

It could’ve been “MOVING?!” or “MOVING OUT!” or something else just as vague, some title that upon first glance could make you doubt and - just for a second - entertain the notion that maybe they’re actually going their separate ways and living in different places and that maybe it truly is the end of an era.

But no, it’s called “We’re Moving Out”. It’s simple - no all caps or exclamation points - just a title with one extra word that makes it abundantly clear that yes they are moving out together and no they don’t think it’s too big of a deal and yes they’re not planning on being apart any time soon, don’t worry.

So I just had an epiphany.

DMing is kind of like producing reality TV.  Really!

I think the Voltron team is cornering themselves

I don’t understand what team Voltron is trying to do. In my eyes, they kinda backed themselves into a corner when it comes to Shiro’s death.

The Voltron team is known for sticking to the original Voltron defender of the universe. Not exactly, but they have many similarities, and members of the Voltron team say it themselves in the Netflix Voltron 84’ series. If you don’t know already, in the 84’ version of Voltron {SPOILERS- not really??} Sven (original Shiro) dies, leading Keith to becoming the leader of Voltron and piloting the black lion. It’s very possible that the Voltron team could decide to go on a similar route, killing off Shiro.. but should they?
Most likely, you thought to yourself “no! If they kill off space daddy™ I’ll fucking END MYSELF-” that exact reaction is why it is a poor choice to kill off Shiro.

Nobody wants Shiro to die. You can lie to yourself all you want about how it would be badass for Shiro to die because not only is it paying respects to the original, but it would show that team Voltron ain’t fuckin’ around, and are willing to kill off one of there main character. But for the positives, the negatives are pretty hard hitting. Voltron demographic wether they like it or not, are primarily teens and young adults. It may not be the original demographic, I’m not sure but that’s what it is now. Im very certain they know this, and knowing this killing Shiro would be a VERY bad idea. Killing someone like Shiro that is very obviously a fan favorite, would be catastrophic- pissing there fans off to a whole new level. The amount of harassment they would go through if they decided to pull this, wouldn’t amount to any sort of defense, not even loyal fans that wouldn’t mind his death could stop the armada of anger.

On the other side of the spectrum, if they don’t decide to kill Shiro, the emotional scenes of Shiro talking with Keith about how if he dies, Keith would lead Voltron (Season 2; Episode 3: Shiro’s Escape) and the scene where Shiro tells Keith that one day he WILL lead Voltron (Season 2; Episode 8: the Blade of Malmora) would be completely meaningless.
Now there’s a certain rule I personally follow when it comes to watching a TV series, even animated ones.. every scene is done on purpose. This rule has only failed me maybe once or twice on shows that aren’t really canonical, but Voltron is. Every scene in a show is meant to serve some kind of purpose, and what other purpose would a scene like the one in Blade of Malmora serve? Hell, the entire episode is about Keith needing to control himself, and Shiro says in the beginning “you’ll have to control your emotions if your going to lead this group (Voltron) someday.” This branches off to a whole other topic- personally, I don’t think Keith is ready to lead Voltron.. I don’t think they should have him lead Voltron for a couple YEARS (in show years.) he seems too young and inexperienced to lead a group- Shiro said it himself, he’s gotta control his emotions, and I get that the entire episode was about that- but I doubt one episode is enough. He still shows signs of being too quick on the trigger- and the amount of backlash from Lance- imagine him thinking “how come Shiro doesn’t trust me to lead Voltron? How come he trusts Keith?” Wouldn’t be surprised if Lance grew spiteful. The thought of it gives me heartache..

But anyways back to my point.

The scene serves a purpose, and if they decide not to kill him the scenes would be meaningless yadayadayada- which I’m guessing would also piss off the fandom, but not by much. At least not as many as if they where to kill him off.

The ONLY way out of that corner I can see for them wouldn’t even really solve the issue, just cover it with a really good bandaid. The only way I see possible is if Keith is “leader” of Voltron for a temporary span of time. It would explain there previous issue of having those scenes exist, but at the same time it would be really unfulfilling for them to say things like “if I don’t make it- I want you to lead Voltron” but it would also make sense since he also says “someday” not really pertaining to it being at all permanent. It’s a very back and forth argument but overall, it would make more sense then either of the other two options by supporting both of them equally.

My assumption for season 3 is; Keith might be leader of Voltron for a while, and during this time, we’ll also see what Shiro is dealing with and where he is. It would be like showing two stories at once, as shiro would have no connection to the group until the end of the season.. this probably won’t happen, they’ll probably just pull a season 2 and get him back 3 episodes in, which I wouldn’t mind honestly- it’s all up to interpretation I guess.

I was talking with friend about animation the other night and it made remember the show “Ok KO Let’s be heroes” is going to be on TV. The animation in the shorts and opening look really awesome to me, i hope the show can keep that kind of quality. I had to draw Enid, I’m always drawn to the kick butt girls in shows.

One thing that has me kind of hyped for the show is that the lead character KO is voiced by Stephanie Ann Nadolny, who was the voice of kid Goku in Funimation’s dub of Dragon Ball. Some one had told me she had retired from acting so I’m super happy to hear shes still voice acting

today i got to talk about kabby with jason rothenberg and i died, here’s the transcript of my death

CLAIRE: “My favorite characters on the show are Kane and Abby.  I’ve been loving watching their relationship evolve this season; I’m loving the romance, but also Kane evolving as a leader and Abby sort of coming back into her own as like the doctor hero is super exciting.  But one of the questions I’ve always kind of wondered – “

JASON: “She’s really into shocklashing.” [laughter] “I’m sure I’ll get in trouble for that.  It was a joke, Twitter, it was a joke!”

CLAIRE: (innocently) “I’m sure there’s fanfic about that.”  [hysterical laughter from Erin who knows I’m trash] “So, my question is, I’m wondering [about] how you guys have evolved their relationship, at what point did you decide, ‘oh, maybe it should go this romantic direction,’ did that sort of evolve out of Paige and Ian or was that on paper from the beginning?  … It’s such a beautifully, deftly built relationship from the pilot on, and I’m just so curious about what that process was.”

JASON: “That’s a really good question. Also a hard question.  I’m trying to remember at what point I said, ‘yeah, let’s pursue that romantic storyline.’  I mean from the beginning they were certainly polar opposites, represented as early as the pilot, I remember the scene where he says ‘If I have to take us down to a cosmic Adam and Eve to save the human race I will,’ and she says, ‘I’m going to do whatever I have to do to make sure we DESERVE to stay alive’ – I totally butchered those lines just there – but they were on the opposite sides, you know?  And obviously, obviously, Kane has evolved quite a lot, and learned the hard way I guess certain ramifications of being that hard-line in his early attitudes.  Being wrong about the earth’s survivability, after having advocated for the Culling, sort of changed him in ways that are still with him for sure.  And so, you know, I think it was a process.

I think, like everything, you start making a show, and Ian Cusick is so good and Paige Turco is so good and they’re so good together, and a lot of it is because they’re adversarial, you know?  We see sparks between them because there’s conflict in those scenes.  They’re both intelligent and … they’re both arguing for their perspectives all the time, and eventually that chemistry bleeds into the writing …  And so the answer to your question is, I really can’t remember when I decided that, yeah, that should happen, but I mean, I see the same thing that you see … It makes total sense, by the way.  They’re both awesome, and they’re both passionate and compassionate, and I think she’s really taught him how to be a better man.  That’s what we all want out of our significant others.”

Claire: “What a good answer! I’m so happy.”

Erin: “Claire is just OVER THE MOON right now.”

Jason: “Good!  Good.  I love that relationship too. And you know what else, I have to say, they’re in their fifties, and it’s on The CW, and fucking A we’ve got one of the best romantic relationships on television over fifty, and I’m not sure that’s been done before. I’m about to turn fifty, so I’m here to tell you we still have feelings, even romantically.”

Claire: “That’s something I think is really important, both in terms of like varying the kinds of stories the show is telling, but also, you know, I think especially for women over a certain age, allowing them to be romantic and sexual and desired and continuing to own that power after they’ve aged out of being, like, starlets, I think is really important as a part of the representation question of how are women depicted on television.”

Jason: “When I first set out on my journey with this show, it was very important to me to tell stories with Jaha, Kane and Abby on the Ark.  That was the sort of ‘Upstairs Downstairs’ of Season 1 …  And we’ve definitely continued [the emphasis on adult characters] through, for sure.  They’re great actors, and they added a sort of legitimacy and credibility to the show, too … the show has a surprisingly old demographic.  It’s not just watched by kids … the actual demographic as reported by Nielsen is much older than you’d expect.  A lot of the people who watch the show are in their forties and fifties.”

The Christmas Invasion - Behind the Scenes [Part 13]

Excerpt from Benjamin Cook’s articles in Doctor Who Magazine #365

How is David enjoying himself, now that he’s had a couple of weeks to settle into the role of the Doctor?

“It’s been great fun so far,” he tells me after the take. “Very exciting.”

Has he slipped into it effortlessly? Or is he still getting used to being Doctor Who?

“It’s in between the two at the moment,” David admits. “You turn up every day and you get on with it - there’s a schedule and you’ve got a job to do - but, every now and again, standing in these caves in my pyjamas, with a broadsword, I look around and there’s Sean dressed up as a huge alien, and down the other end of the cave is the TARDIS blinking away, and I do have a moment of going, ‘This is just unreal! This is impossible!’ I think this episode is particularly good fun, because there’s the sword fight, and the Doctor waking up, and there’s some really great, juicy stuff, so it’s a lovely one to start with.”

It’s just like an Andrew Pixley Archive come to life, isn’t it? [Andrew Pixley wrote behind-the-scenes “Archive” features for Doctor Who Magazine]

“It is!” says David, roaring with laughter. “I mean, it really is! It’s got all the same kind of ridiculousness, and compromises, and highs, and lows, and madness that I suppose this show has always had. It’s very quick, very fast - there’s an awful lot to do. We’ve got a schedule like all TV dramas have a schedule, but also we’ve got special effects, and CGI, and prosthetics, and all that stuff just takes so much time. The attention to detail is amazing.”

Were there any issues related to having your cartoon be made from a webcomic, that was public on the internet? I'm asking since I aspire to be a cartoonist one day, but I've already published basic ideas for said stories (e.g, characters, basic dynamics and the setting of their story), and I can't help but wonder if it leads to some kind of conflict in getting the show pitched, or even greenlit?

This is not at all an issue. The format is completely different, and frankly barely anyone read my comic anyways so it didn’t matter. Plus in transitioning to TV, characters and ideas had to evolve, and there really wasn’t a whole lot to take from the comics anyways. The only thing that i’ve ever really been able to steal is that opening from the episode THE ROAD with the Baby Bears. But to answer your question, this would never be an issue because it’s a different medium.

- Daniel

Ok this isn’t me saying anything bad about Henrik (who I think is one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen.) But something I really loved about Skam and their use of Even. When we first see Even he’s the gorgeous, mysterious, magical teenage boy that you see in all the movies and tv shows of the perfect, hot, dreamy guy.

But as we spend time with Even, he becomes more and more human and a different kind of beauty is shown. His hair is dirty and oily and becomes a big mess, he has spots on his forehead, his skin would be blotchy, his body was allowed to be lanky and awkward. He would sing along to pop songs and do other normal dorky things. He got to be down and depressed, and to despair and to be miserable and that was all ok. He wasn’t up on this pedestal anymore, he didn’t have to be this unattainable ideal, he was human and real.

It reminds me of that quote by Angelita Lim. “I saw that you were perfect and so I loved you.  Then I saw that you were not perfect and I loved you even more.” Even is perfect, but he’s not at the same time, but he’s still amazing, beautiful, and wonderful all at the same time.

How would do the RFA +V + Unknown react to MC being an journal keeper, she's been writing down her thoughts and the day's happenings in her journal. This happened since she was very young so there a huge stack of journals in her room. And her new journal entries is almost most of the time about her feelings for them, their sweet moments together and how much she loves and treasures them. Plus MC writes like a true novelist.

Such an interesting request! I hope I did justice to it! ^^

RFA + Saeran and V react to MC being a journalkeeper

TW: Mentions of LGBTQphobia and depression

  • When you moved in together, you brought this huge box filled with notebooks
  • Noticing his curiosity, you tell him these are your old journals, you have one for each year of your life since you’re 10.
  • He thinks it’s adorable, and he’s so curious! How were you like during your teenage years?
  • You’re so embarrassed to show him, so you pick the ones you consider slightly decent, when you were 18 and the hormones weren’t taking control of your mind anymore
  • When he starts reading, he’s shocked: did an 18 years old girl really write this? It sounds like those really good monologues he’s only seen on cult theatre pieces.
  • Seriously, just say the word and he’ll introduce you to producers and make all your thoughts turn into a musical, a TV show, maybe a movie! Easy there, Zen…
  • And if he wasn’t impressed enough, he sees the most recent journal, and it’s filled with sweet things about him, like, not even himself could think of this kind of sweet things to tell you.
  • The way you describe him, not only his looks, but all of his features, even the ones that aren’t that good… it’s so passionate, yet so honest.  Not even a narcissist like him sees himself as highly as you do.
  • He doesn’t understand why you would keep these sweet words only to yourself, but won’t pressure you, he knows you are really good at showing your affection, as it is vividly described on that page you tell about the first time you two made love.

  • He tried keeping journals, but they all ended forgotten somewhere
  • So he really admires your care for your journals, he wish he could be like that
  • He’s a little curious about your high school crushes, he would love to see the way you describe them, he would feel a little jealous, but he really wants to meet you as a teenager in love.
  • But when you show him… he feels… futile? Because it’s all so deep and meaningful, and it’s filled with intricate thoughts about your relationship with your parents, things he could never think by himself…
  • There’s a brief mention about a guy you dated, but he feels how meaningless it was and how he was clearly not that into you by the way you describe it, and now he hates this guy so much!
  • When it comes to him, he’s legitimately crying for the way you write him. He thought he was in despair when he hurt his eye? Now he knows your agony, and it’s so… painful.
  • And when he reads about your first date, he’s giggling so much, as if he is reading some comic book about another person, like he wasn’t even there.
  • Also, he feels a little stupid for not understanding some passages, like this one you wrote a couple of weeks ago. He shyly asks and shyly he stays when you explain you’re describing an orgasm. “Seriously…? I… I… did all this to your body? Whoa…”

  • She thought about having journals, she had so much to express! However, so little time to actually do it…
  • So she’s impressed about your diligence, since, generally, you’re not that organized about things (and that’s just one of the things you hate in yourself, but she freaking loves it!)
  • She knows how personal these things can be, and it’s totally okay if you don’t want her to read. When you say you don’t really mind, she can hold back her enthusiasm…  yes, she really wanted this, she just wouldn’t admit it.
  • The one with your last year of high school draws her attention immediately, since it looks like is the one with most written pages.
  • And she quickly understands why when she starts reading it. So much worries about the future, not even her was so concerned about her own future like you sounded there.
  • Thoughts that almost every young person has, but the way you describe it makes it feel like it’s something so different, as if your doubts and insecurities were so unique…
  • She cries when she gets to the part you tell how you were dragged out of the closet as bisexual when a girl you trusted told the whole neighborhood about it.
  • And then it comes to when you met, the way you describe every chat you had on the app, every thought you had beneath every word you send… she knew how much it meant for both of you, but this was on a whole another level now.
  • She blushes reading the way you describe her and touches you, but what really makes her heart flutter is the description about the first time you tasted a cup of coffee made by her… seriously, it’s just… too much!
  • She feels so inspired after that. Maybe now she has a lot more of free time, she could start writing her own journal? There’s a lot about you she needs to learn how to put in words…

  • Well, a journal could be a great help for him during all those years, now he knows that.
  • So he’s glad at least you didn’t have to struggle so much like he did
  • He won’t say it loud, but he’s curious! Soooooo curious! You can see it on his eyes, so you allow him to take a look, his soft smile giving away how much he wanted you to allow it…
  • He loves it, he wants to take all the journals out of the box and put them on his personal library.
  • He also wants to introduce you to publishers and editors, he’ll do whatever it takes for you to be a best-seller. Jumin, please chill
  • If he had tangled knots inside his heart, you were apparently trapped on thick ropes of problems. The way you describe your parent’s divorce and how it affected most of your teenage years make him ache deep inside. You’ve come a long way…
  • He’s afraid of reading about himself, especially those long and confusing three days he locked you up in his penthouse…
  • And yes, you’re very honest about how scared you were, but only because you knew that confused and anxious guy wasn’t the man you’ve fallen in love with, and the way you describe your love for him… he had no idea it was this overwhelming.
  • He loves the way you write your interactions with Elizabeth the 3rd, and can’t hold back a grin when he reads your description about the first time you had sex.
  • Now everytime you two start getting heated, he tells you he’ll give you enough material for your journal…

  • He dug all he could during your background check, except for that private blog (which wasn’t private for him if he didn’t want to)
  • He knew how personal it was, so he wouldn’t dare to dig on that. No… if he knows something, is about letting some thoughts only to yourself.
  • But when you tell him he can read if he wants, he quickly changes his mind. This is the closest he ever gonna get to hack into you.
  • He wants to print everything and turns into books he can hang at his personal library, “The Expert Playboy” would gain such a more refined and delicate company in that shelf.
  • Or make this public and monetize it somehow, because you deserve earning money on this, it’s… all… so… good!
  • The funny parts are HILARIOUS, your writing is so on point about embarrassing situations, he feels as if it happened to him. You should write scripts for sitcoms, you have this amazing ability to turn trivial situations into witty jokes, the type of jokes he would never be able to think of it.
  • And the sad things, your mother’s death… he never could care about his mother the way you did for yours, but somehow… he feels extremely sympathetic.
  • When it comes to him… he’s blushing. Your description about his hair and eyes… god, it’s basically a thesis on why it’s the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen.
  • And he feels guilty all over again reading about the way he pushed you away, but then again… you turned this into a bittersweet kind of thing, mixing comedy and tragedy in a way only someone like you could do it.
  • He cries when you describe the moment he found Saeran, he wasn’t this thrilled not even when the actual thing happened back then.
  • He’s blushing so much when you compare the first orgasm he gave you to the mixture of salty and sweet taste of Honey Budha Chips and Dr. Pepper… because he feels exactly the same way.

  • He actually is keeping one because of therapy, so he asks you for help.
  • But he had no idea how in love you are for this, you’re more excited than him about his own journal.
  • He’s not sure if he really wants to read your teenage girl whining about boys and prom, but he really wants to know how to do this!
  • When he starts reading it… he’s addicted to it. You catch him binge reading all of them all the time.
  • You’re so sarcastic! Everything in your life seemed so bittersweet, he’s rooting for you to ditch the asshole you were dating and find happiness on yourself, because you’re so great! And he celebrates when finds you actually did!
  • He’s reading this and imagining as if it was a TV show… a very cliché one, but still, the kind of cliché you can’t take your eyes off!
  • He wishes he could deal with his problems the way you did, you were so screwed when your found about your father’s second family, yet… here you are, this amazingly sweet and bright person dealing with struggle with so much fierceness and kindness
  • When you told him that you were never scared of him, he didn’t believe it. Reading on the journal, he starts to believe.
  • He’s embarrassed when he reads about himself, you portray him as this adorable anti-hero, and he doesn’t think he deserves it, your description about his eyes makes him shiver…
  • Feels really good about the way you describe sex with him, and when you wrote it’s like all the flavors of ice cream combined, he’s gone!

  • I guess he has sight for this one
  • He used to have a dream journal, and stopped when most of the dreams were about Rika
  • He admires your commitment to write every day, even when apparently nothing special happened.
  • But when he gets to read it, he understands: your writing make every day sound special and amazing.
  • He gets more and more mesmerized at every page, he pictures the scenes on his mind, putting himself at your place. It takes a lot of talent to transport people to your own universe with just some words well put together, and you have this talent!
  • Personally, your descriptions about first times are the most impressive ones, the first time you saw snow, your first date with your first boyfriend, the first time you touched yourself…  he almost can feel what you felt.
  • And the struggles and self-loathing, dealing with depression with a family who doesn’t seem to understand you were sick… he feels your pain on his own skin and mind.
  • He’s so flattered about the way you see him. Is his voice that soothing? His eyes that beautiful? He wishes he could see the world through your eyes, his photos would be even better with such a unique and sweet vision like yours.
  • He was impressed about the first time you touched yourself, just imagine when he got to the part about sex with him. Your words seem like little magic spells, hypnotizing more and more.

Your name: submit What is this?

You sighed and leaned back against the headboard of the motel bed. It was quiet except for the mumbling of the random show on the TV. You weren’t even watching, you just put it on to break the silence, as you weren’t really used to it. The other day, Dean won some extra cash by hustling pool, and you all decided to splurge it on a second motel room, since well, it gets kind of crowded when you’re three and share one room. You had expected Dean to take the room by himself and leave you and Sam to share, not that you would question it, it was his money. But, he didn’t. Instead, to your surprise, he decided to be generous and gave you the room.

Even though it was a lot more spacious and not as warm, you still felt a bit odd being alone. Although, you appreciated the act. You really did, it was sweet of him.

Soon, you lied down on top of the bed, not even bothering to take off your clothes. You were quite exhausted from today’s, well yesterday’s — since it was past midnight — salt and burn. And that was probably the only reason you were able to sleep in that empty motel room.

You jolted awake by the loud sound. It took you a split second to place it, your heart hammering against your ribs. Gunshot. It was a gunshot. You flew off your bed onto your feet, confused. The noise was so loud you could have sworn it was in your room, but no, you were still alone. You were practically trembling because of the adrenaline pumping through your system. You were confused about the empty room, until you remembered why. But then, you were confused where the sound had come from until your realized that it must’ve come from the room next door. And who camped out there? Your brothers.

I did get to watch most of the episode, though! Good stuff, good stuff:

  • Travis: “Can I stand at the bow of the ship… heading for a new landinNewYorkyoucanbeanewman”
  • Loved Vax making an effort to hang out with Grog more now that he’s gnomeless. Getting forgotten in a game of hide-and-seek and falling asleep in a barrel was great, as was Grog’s reaction to Vax falling off the ship.
  • I love that in these three days Tary’s started to get along a little better with the others–it cracked me up so hard when Tary and Percy announced that they were working on projects together, and then Sam and Taliesin proceeded to completely ignore Matt to have a whispered and giggly conversation for an extended period of time. Vex said a very cheerful “Hello!” to him, but I think everyone’s mood was best summed up by Vax rescuing him during the fight, reassuring him repeatedly that he’s okay… and casting Divine Sense to make sure he’s not a fucking demon.
  • I am pretty darn delighted by Taryon deciding Keyleth is the clear leader of Vox Machina and trying to pattern his own decision-making after hers.
  • I love how gleeful Sam was over Tary getting a kill with an absurdly powerful hit… and simultaneously knocking himself off the edge of the ship with the recoil.
  • The pirate battle was something the group needed, I think–nobody dropped down to less than two thirds of their max health, they got to have some really badass moments that showcased what they did best, but there was still a sense of risk and excitement and it was a good time.
  • The rescue scene for the prisoner in the hold was really awesome–Taliesin played Percy’s “I don’t know what to do!” panic really well and then had him help out in the only way he could by keeping Keyleth out of the water, Vax was great diving in there and using his lockpicking to save the day, Vex dove in to help evacuate the prisoner, Keyleth had so much faith in her friends that she didn’t drop concentration on the spell even when she was about to fall off the ship. Good stuff.
  • The twins getting competitive over who was better at healing a dude, amazing.
  • The whole scene with Keyleth worrying that she’s being replaced as Percy’s BFF was really adorable, as were Vax’s attempts to be comforting while simultaneously being just so pleased that this is the worst of their problems right now.
  • Percival “Edgelord Supreme” de Rolo over here like “what if… I killed someone who deserved it… and then brought them back to life just to make sure I haven’t been sending everyone I kill into the same pit of endless torment I escaped from….” like my dude, I am Concerned. I keep thinking of the Raven Queen telling him he’d have to be careful or he might find himself in opposition to her works. It’s so interesting and it’s all completely in line with the fascination he’s had lately with who gets to live and why, but man, somehow I feel like this isn’t gonna end well.
  • Taliesin and Laura sold the hell out of that conversation–there’s a really genuine fondness that comes through when Vex and Percy chat that just brings those barriers down. It’s very sweet, and that breakdown of barriers is a neat contrast to the Vax/Keyleth different-brand-of-sweet heart-on-the-sleeve conversations.
  • Getting a little TMI here, but I saw that reddit post about somebody saying how they felt like Vex/Percy’s really physical aspects didn’t seem natural, and honestly? I’ve had Vax/Keyleth-esque really sweet, shy, sometimes awkward relationships where every step was quietly discussed and analyzed and it just sort of evolved into a lovely, comfortable intimacy. I’ve also had a relationship that we’ll just say bears certain thematic resemblances to Vex/Percy, and even though we knew it was a short-term thing from the start, it was incredibly fun and healthy as well. I get that not everyone’s gonna read it that way, but one of the things I enjoy most about this show is how the relationships (platonic and romantic) in this show feel realistic and seem deeply familiar, in a weird through-a-fantasy-mirror kind of way. A lot of relationships on TV (again, both platonic and romantic) feel sophomoric and contrived for maximum drama, but these folks are so invested in playing their characters as genuinely as possible that I think they wind up escaping a lot of really common pitfalls. They’re all genre-savvy enough that they shy away from misunderstanding for the sake of misunderstanding, which is refreshing.
  • I choose to believe Keyleth was taking notes just as assiduously as Marisha was, furiously scribbling into her notepad and glancing up occasionally when the conversation got real. The smile and delivery on “She’s alive” just killed me.
  • I love Matt’s strategies to counter the fact that he’s got a massive party of what are basically demigods at this point. Giving them a big and dangerous monster that’s gonna try to kill them… and they aren’t allowed to kill it? Really clever. This should be fun.
That little show that could

Bones ends tonight. And I thought I was prepared for it. When they announced that this season would be the last one I wasn’t surprised, and I was kind of relieved that at least we were having one last season to say goodbye. But I think it never really sank in that BONES. WAS. ENDING.

This is the show that has been with me for 12 years. The show that taught me what fandoms were and that introduced me to the world of tv shows. And as much I can like other shows, Bones has been a constant in my life. It was always there, It was able to cheer me on bad days, to make me cry, to really fall in love with these characters. To show me what a real OTP was.

And it really annoys me how people aren’t able to see past the fact that it is a procedural. How they weren’t able to see the cast full of strong and independent women, or the plots that were able to touch in such a wonderful and delicate ways issues like transexuality, animal violence, rape, religion vs science, foster care… And at the same time Bones could be much more funnier that many comedies.

12 seasons is an amazing run for a show, but it doesn’t make the ending hurt any less. Specially when you felt that this show hasn’t been recognised enough, sometimes not even by its own network. But I’m glad for the Bones family; cast, crew and fandom. Because we have loved this show so much that we have been able to keep it on the air for 12 years. And even when my focus has drifted to other shows at times, I have always been proud of being part of this wonderful fandom.

So I just want to say thank you. Thank you all for being here supporting this show. And we are not going anywhere… this is just an hiatus until we make the revival happen.
