not really but still he's a loser

i’m replaying episode 3 and let me just say the admin’s little things he says over the speakers in the mush room are gold

“Just a friendly reminder- helping your fellow guests and associates will get you no where!  Losers are supposed to lose!  Say it with me- ‘Losers are supposed to lose!’“

“While I am incredibly close to finding a champion, the spot still remains open- escecially to adventurers whose names rhyme with ‘Nessie’!”

“Oh, whatever, you know who this is- I can’t believe Jesse gave up the chance to be my champion to save their friends!”

“I hope you’re learning how to be a cooperative champion!”

Do you ever shut up?

Desc: Richie Tozier is notorious for having the worlds biggest crush on Y/N, Bill’s older sister. The only problem was the fact that Y/N was in an exclusive relationship with Henry Bowers. Push comes to shove rapidly and soon Y/N is kidnapped by the one and only Pennywise, will they get to her in time?

Pairing: Reader/Richie Tozier

Warning: Harsh language, mentions of sex.

Do you ever shut up?

It was no secret that Richie liked Y/N, everyone knew and no one really cared. In all honestly they simply expected it to be puppy love, something he would outgrow once he saw another hot girl wandering around innocently. But, what they didn’t know was that it wasn’t just puppy love to him. It was more like infatuation, a craving, actual love. Unfortunately, Y/N was off limits, as Bill had said numerous times. That, and she didn’t really think Richie’s jokes were very funny either. She actually found them to be rather rude, ignorant even, but she let it slide. He wasn’t hurting anyone, she didn’t think.

She knew well that Henry Bowers, her exclusive boyfriend, wasn’t the best person in the world. He wasn’t a saint, but who was? Y/N knew that everyone deserved a chance to change, a chance to be happy. But, Henry never seemed to change his ways, he was still the school bully who had children cowering when he walked by, and Y/N was known throughout the school as ‘Henry Bowers Girlfriend.’ She was certain they never called her by name.

It was either that, or ‘Stuttering Bill’s sister’ or even perhaps, 'Georgie Denbrough’s sister, the kid who died.’ Really this had grown to make Y/N very uncomfortable. She was her own person, not just Bill and Georgie’s sister, not just Henry Bowers girlfriend.

*

At this current moment in time, Y/N was saying her goodbyes to the losers’, having to go home and help her mother with dinner and cleaning for a bit (she was certain it was Bill’s turn, but he argued against it.)

“I’ll buh-be home in a fuh-few hours.” Bill said, as Y/N waved them off and left to go home, fixing her hair as she walked.

”She really looks good from the back, and the front.“ Richie stated, adjusting his large glasses on his nose. This remark didn’t go unnoticed, a series of groans and eyerolls took over for the moment before Beverly stepped in to break the silence.

“Beep beep, Richie.” She said rather sternly, leaning back in her seat, she was rather annoyed at the inappropriate comment but definitely not as annoyed as Bill.

“T-that’s my sister, idiot. Duh-don’t talk about her l-like that.“ Bill stated blandly, clearly uncomfortable with the comment himself, and certain that Y/N would ultimately destroy Richie for a comment like that.

”It’s not my fault she’s hot…“ He paused for a moment, as if thinking it over before starting to speak again. ”And kind, and funny, and sweet, and—“ he was cut off by Stan talking over him.

”Dude, do you actually like her?“ Stan spoke, his voice slightly deeper than the other losers’, which they just expected it was because he was a little older than them.

Richie hadn’t noticed the opened-mouthed gazes that were trained to his face and the wide eyes searching for a hint of a lie. But Richie wasn’t lying. He really did think all those things about Y/N, but he knew the Henry would literally kill him for saying any of it.

“Do you ah-actually like my s-sister, Trashmouth?” Bill asked in utter astonishment, causing Richie to sink into his seat in embarrassment and shrug a little.

*

It had been three or four days since the losers’ realised that Richie wasn’t just chasing Y/N for her looks and since then it had been tense in the group everytime the two were together. Y/N didn’t really understand why everyone was so quiet whilst they were out, walking along the river bank in the mid afternoon sun. Beverly and Y/N had been talking, but it was low, almost like a whisper as they spoke as if the others would be mortified at their conversation.

It didn’t take long before they had ran into Henry and his group, minus Patrick who had been missing for several days. This utterly let to a panic within the losers’ but they seemed to remain calm, all of which were rather frightened besides Y/N.

“Hey Losers’, if you’re trying to get into her pants–” he stopped speaking to point a finger in Beverly’s direction, Y/N falling unnoticed, “All you have to do is ask nicely like I did.” He spoke with a wicked grin on his face, like something straight out of a thriller movie.

It was clear that the remark hit Beverly hard, but it hit Y/N equally as hard when she realised what he had said. In a fit of rage, Y/N picked up the biggest rock she could find and flung it as hard as she could. Her throw coming out rather well, hitting Henry on the forehead with enough force to draw blood.

“What the fuck!?” Henrys voice sounded from across the new-found battlefield as he chucked another rock back at her but failed to hit her or do any serious damage to anyone else.

”Rock War!“ sounded out from the losers’ side of the river as sudden airborne rocks were flying back and forth.

Even in this instance, Y/N felt like she was having the time of her life. She didn’t really care that after this her and Henry would be over for good, in fact she was incredibly happy about that. A smile spread over her face, even when a rock hit her painfully in the side. She had no idea how her and Bill would explain the deep purple bruises to their parents later, but she didn’t care anymore. This felt like a new beginning to her, she felt more welcome with the losers’ than she ever had with Henrys obnoxious clique.

She felt alive!

Once the final rocks were thrown, Henrys gang started to back up a bit, having suffered the most.

“Yeah! That’s right! Fuck off and go back to blowing your dad!“ Richie shouted from their spot a few meters away. There was a silence for a moment.

“And stay away from my girl!” He finished with, and Y/N didn’t care a single bit.

*

The bruises took several days to heal, turning from purple to a bluish shade, to a deep red and vanishing entirely. Y/N and Bill had been interrogated by their parents once they got home, but they simply smiled at each other and answered with blatant lies. Once their parents had bought it, the siblings it would be best to stay inside till the bruises healed once and for all.

Y/N sat by the window, the rain pattering against the glass in an almost rhythmic pattern. Her fingers followed the small drops as they raced down the glass, and she rested her head against the cool window. Looking out into the street she was almost certain she had seen a flash of yellow and red running by, and when she looked again she found herself staring at a small newspaper boat, with ’S.S Georgie’ scrawled messily along the side. Tied to it floated a red balloon which carried it with ease down the street as a little boy ran after it in a yellow slicker and red galoshes.

Y/N couldn’t believe her eyes, a sense of delight washing over her as she pulled on her fushia coloured rain coat and ran outside, slamming the door behind herself and chased the small boy down the street, calling out 'Georgie? Georgie!’ every time she got the chance. Deep down, a small part of her understood that Georgie wasn’t actually coming home, that he was almost definitely killed. But, she couldn’t help with hope and pray to God that this was Georgie by some convenience.

She ran after the child with every inch of energy in her body but he always seemed just out of reach, that was until she rounded the corner and came face to face with something she dreaded the most. A clown. A clown with a twisted grin on his makeup clad face. She suppressed a scream, her hand to her mouth and her teeth digging into the side of her pale skin. She noticed the one-armed boy standing behind the clown with his boat in his hands and recognised him as her brother. And then everything went black.

*

She awoke soon after, still face to face with the God-awful clown that she hated ever so much, yet this time there was no Georgie and this didn’t seem like the upper ground of Derry anymore. In fact, it seemed more like the sewers, and her suspicion didn’t go astray. She was shaking, her hands and knees trembling and her bottom lip quivering as if holding back tears, but she slapped on a confident expression.

“Why are you doing this?” She cried out at last, only to be met with a bizarre smile and a finger pressed to the clowns lips. She stopped speaking just long enough to hear the thudding of someone walking along the sewer pipes, then it came to sound like a group of people.

Y/N wanted to cry, she wanted to scream and tell them to go back and leave her here. To save themselves from their independent doom, but she couldn’t. She simply found herself in an utter trance, staring into the clowns eyes, that was until the losers’ burst into the sewer baring what seemed to be weapons of some sort or another.

“Fucking clowns..” Richie spoke through gritted teeth before they each took their fair share of clown beating till the monster clawed its way away from them, leaving Y/N dazed and confused before spotting the rather bloody, bruised, and ridiculous looking group of teenagers.

Y/N had never been so pleased, she ran forward and incased Bill in the worlds tightest hug, muttering apologies and thank you’s for what seemed like forever.

“Hey! I was the one who figured out where you were and what had happened.” Richie fummed unhappily, rather jealous that he didn’t receive the same attention as her brother did.

“Well then thank you too, Trashmouth.” Y/N laughed as she pulled him into an equally tight hug, an endless smile on her face.

“Really it was nothing, could have…would have done it anyday for you Y/N, It wasn’t that big a deal I mean anyone could have done it–” Richie proceeded to boast, gaining a playful eyeroll from Y/N.

“Beep beep Richie.” She stated simply, gaining a strange look from Richie before she pressed her lips to his, and for a moment Richie could have sworn his heart completely stopped.

Once she had pulled away, both were red faced and flustered, though Richie was so close to passing out it was almost unreal. He simply couldn’t say another word besides 'Awesome!’, and honestly Y/N was sure everyone else in the room groaned in annoyance at the sudden display of affection.

Y/N couldn’t have been happier.

#MyParentsAreLosers - Batmom x Batfam

I couldn’t bring myself to write a “depressed Batmom” story today, and I really wanna write it well and all so…here’s a silly thing for you, to “wait” for an actual story. Warning : it’s stupid and not greatly written, probably a bit of a mess (I wrote that in three days, with 5 minutes available each day to do it so yeah…messy) This was requested (anonymously), a story about the Batboys introducing Batmom and Bruce to Instagram and Snapchat, but I can’t find the original message anymore so…Here, if you read this anon’, I hope you’ll like it :-) (I hope all of you guys will like it) :

My masterlist blog : https://ella-ravenwood-archives.tumblr.com

__________________________________________________

It’s Alfred who discovered it.

He read it in the Gotham Daily (neither you nor Bruce ever had time to read any newspapers, besides, both of you were getting a bit tired about the fact that almost every “news” was about you and him…).

As he was reading the article, for the first time in years, Alfred let it go. Thanks God he was alone in the house that day, as he bursted out in a loud and ridiculous laughter !

It made him laugh for hours, in fact (Damian and Tim coming home from school ruining his fun), and oh he had to tell you guys but…his majordome ways kept him from plainly coming to you and outright telling you.

At first, he tried to leave the actual article in places you could see it.

On the kitchen counter, for example, while you took your breakfast…But you never paid attention to anything before your third cup of coffee, even if it was right there in front of you, and by then Bruce would have joined you and you and him would be too focused on each other to realize that this damn article was on the kitchen counter !! AND OH MY GOD COULD YOU STOP KISSING AND LOOK AT THIS DAMN PIECE OF PAPER RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU ?! But it was too late, your kids were coming in and your focus would slightly shift from Bruce to them, the article would fall into the Oblivion as you just completely ignored it while doing your traditional conversation with your family. It was an old routine Alfred knew by heart.

He tried to put it in the bathroom, and found it soaked and teared…It was something, really, how you and Bruce could be so observant sometimes, and yet so blind some others.

He also tried the bed, laying it on your pillow where he’d be sure you’d find it…But the day he did that, Bruce came home early from patrol and you rushed upstairs rather fast and…Alfred found the sticky and…oh he’d rather not think about it, and just imagined that you guys were very sweaty when sleeping and…Let’s just never mention that episode ever again.

He put it on the computer in the Batcave, and found it, days later, under Bruce’s seat. How did it got there ? He had no idea, but what was sure is that the greatest detective in the World, the Goddamn Batman, didn’t notice that stupid piece of paper RIGHT ON HIS KEYBOARD !

His last resort was the library, where you spend most of your free times when the boys and Bruce weren’t around…He placarded it everywhere, putting it in every single books you were most likely to read that day and…What did you do ? Enter the damn library reading something already, so of course you didn’t pay attention to any of the articles, and you even used a few articles as bookmarks…Oh dear…

Alfred decided that it was time to stop trying to be subtle (though he could admit that his poor attempts at making you read this particular newspaper articles weren’t really “subtle”).

He gave up one morning, after three weeks of trying to make you guys read that damn article, and just shoved it in your face, right in front of the cup of coffee you were about to drink, so that you just HAD to read it.

“The children of the Wayne households post a series of pictures of their parents, and it goes viral” was the title of it.

What ?

It was early in the morning, and it took you a while before starting to understand what was happening.

To understand that your sons apparently kept posting pictures on the internet, of you and Bruce, with the caption (or “hashtag” as they called it) : #MyParentsAreLoosers, followed by the sentence “But I still love them”.

MY noobie review of Stephen King’s IT (2017)

SPOILERS BELOW. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!

First thing’s first. The cgi wasn’t terrible. In fact, it was brilliant. Though, there was this one scene where Pennywise is dancing in front of Beverly and it’s the silliest, creepiest looking shit ever. But yeah, the cgi for that scene was a little off in my opinion.

They kept a lot of aspects from the book in. Which I thank the script writers for. Here are a few of my pro’s and con’s if anyone cares.

Pros: -The loser club. They were brilliant. And child actors get a bad rep, but these guys killed it. They were all great in their roles and they felt just like they did when I read the book.

-The family lives of the losers’ that we got to see. It was really nice to see Beverly’s relationship with her father come to fruition on screen once again. Along with Eddie’s mother.

-Richie Tozier and Eddie Kaspbrak’s humor. They definitely lightened this movie up. Which was very nice. Also, small nod to Bev and Ben’s “New kids on the block” thing going on, that was hilarious.

-Pennywise. Holy shit. Bill was great as Pennywise. His facial expressions. Voice and just over all demeanor about him. He was terrifying. I could definitely see him as the Joker if he went for the role.

-Georgie’s death. It was done so well. Sure they changed it up a little. But I felt so bad for him after his arm was torn off and he was just crawling away as best as he could.

-Henry Bowers. Henry Bowers was a psychopath, but a great psycho path.

-The humor. The humor was pretty good. Obviously, Richie being the start of most of it. Pretty funny.

-Scares. For the only jumpscares that were in the movie, they were actually built up quite nicely. Not overdone at all.

-The cgi. I already mentioned it. But the cgi was great. Usually I don’t really like CGI, but when the monster of a horror movie is a shape-shifting entity, you need cgi.

Cons: -The rest of the Bowers gang. They had little to do. And honestly felt like cliche bullies. Also, near the end. We don’t find out what happened to Belch and Victor. Sure, I'v read that a scene was cut. This scene showed Belch and Victor with their throats slashed(courtesy of Henry Bowers). But still. For those that don’t know that. They’d be leaving the movie confused.

-The Loser Club’s stories. I get that the producers had a certain amount of time to work with. But still. A few of the background stories of the kids, felt either rushed or leaped over.

-Mike Hanlon as a character. One of the biggest problems I had with the movie, was the way they treated the character Mike. To me. He was just, there. You know? Mike is supposed to be the brains of the losers’ club. But in the movie, he was just that guy with the sheep gun.

I honestly can’t think of anymore cons, the movie was just really good.

Is IT scary? Totally. If you’re a fan of horror, I highly recommend it.

Favorite lines(I’ll try to be as accurate as possible):

-“It’s easier for me to go inside this house, than to go into my own everyday”

-”Nothing makes a paper man crumble like fear”

-”And most of all, I’m angry at you because now I have to kill this fucking clown!”

gazebros  asked:

highschool age richie and eddie having their first kiss and now they are always just holding hands or touching in some way and the losers act all fake weird and tease them about them always bein so cutesy but actually high key have been shipping it since forever ?? i just need a ton of reddie fluff rn lol

~ Eddie was leaning his textbook on Richie’s legs that the boy had habitually thrown over Eddies lap as they sat on the cold bleachers waiting on their five friends. He was flicking through the pages intending to find chapter twenty-eight so he could get a head start on his homework. He couldn’t see him, but Eddie would make a good bet with himself that if he glanced over at him, Richie would  be laying flat on his back in boredom. So Eddie peeked over and there he was, exactly as Eddie had predicted. “You’re surprisingly quiet today.” Eddie remarked and Richie started to sit up.

Richie went to open his mouth but Eddie held his finger out, inches from touching his lips. “Don’t ruin a good thing.” He smirked and Richie smacked his hand down with a smile.

“I was thinking-”

“That’s dangerous.”Eddie smirked again and Richie shook his head, looking away and forwards towards the football field. “Ok what were you thinking about?” Eddie poked the boys shoulders, suddenly impatient.

“Your mom.” Richie turned to him with a wide smirk of his own. Eddie scoffed and threw his legs out of his lap, allowing Richie to scoot closer as he let his chuckle fade out. “Anyway..”

“Is there more to your joke?” Eddie cocked his head to the side with sass. Richie shook his head.

“No, I was really thinking.” He smiled as Eddies face turned curious. “Y’know…I haven’t had my first kiss yet-”

“Woah, wait a minute…that’s not what you told us in the barrens two weeks ago.” Eddie chuckled and Richie flushed.

“Ok I lied but-”

“You even got up and stood on a rock and shouted ‘I’ve been kissed fuckers!’…oh that’s sad Richie.” Eddie couldn’t stop laughing, hand over his mouth as he hunched over and continued to snort. Richie watched him, completely stoic.

“Laugh it up, Eds. But this is coming from the guy who’s mom probably won’t allow him to kiss anyone until he’s forty.” Richie shot back and smiled proudly, Eddie sat back up and gave him an embarrassed face.

“I’ll kiss someone when i’m ready.” He defended himself in a soft tone, wanting to start shying away from the topic but Richie had other plans.

“Are you ready now?” Richie asked and Eddie gave him wide eyes.

“What-what do you mean?”

Richie shrugged and looked back towards the football field. “It’s just…since neither of us have had our first kiss, I was thinking we could just get it over with right now.” He proposed, looking at the lone football among the grass the entire time. Eddie wasn’t sure what he could’ve been expecting but it wasn’t that for sure.

“And you’re serious?” Eddie squeaked out and Richie finally turned his face back to look at him. He looked Eddie directly in the eyes and nodded. “wow.” Eddie let out his breath.

“I’m sorry, Eds. I didn’t mean to make things awkward- It was just a stupid idea I mean…I’ll never bring it up again and we’ll be cool, right? cause-”

Eddie cut him off by sitting up as straight as he could and connecting their lips in the best way he could. Since Richie had been talking, it was a little difficult to position. Their noses bumped awkwardly but he quickly attempted to fix that. His hands were still resting on his thighs and slid down his lap. Since he wasn’t sure what to do with his hands, he kept them to himself. And after a few seconds, he pulled away. Richie pushed his glasses up his nose and let out a small ‘Huh’.

“That ok?” Eddie asked and Richie nodded speedily.

“Yeah-yes!”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The boys had never really talked about their kiss since it happened last week but they did seem to change, only slightly. The Losers Club had barely noticed at first. But it became harder and harder to ignore the fact that every time they hung out, the two of them drifted together. It was never uncommon for them not to but now, they always seemed to be touching. Whether it be with Richie sitting on a rock in the barrens with Eddie sitting on the ground, leaning on his legs. Or while they were sitting next to each other and their hands would fall together.
Beverly was watching just that very same situation start when she opened her mouth. “So, anything interesting happen with you two lately?” she quirked her brow and smiled as the boys scooted away from each other.
“No.” Richie shook his head.
“Nothing at all?” Ben pitched in and soon all five of them had their attention on Richie and Eddie.
“No.” Eddie denied immediately. He glanced at all of their skeptical faces and started to crumble under pressure. But before he could say anything, Richie interrupted his train of thought.
“Ok we kissed! You got anything to say about it, Heteros?” Richie burst and they all looked at each other.
“Just that I owe Bill ten dollars.” Mike sighed and they all broke out into laughter as Richie and Eddie grew red in the face.
Keith’s Stupid Mullet
This is dedicated to Grace, my love, @floofykeith, because she’s amazing and she deserves it
In which Keith gets to the bottom of why his boyfriend apparently hates his mullet so much.
“Just admit it!”
“No! Never!”
“Oh, c’mon–”
“If I did it would be a lie, Keith. And lying is bad. Didn’t Shiro teach you anything?”
“Hey!” Shiro squawked from across the room, looking up from his tablet. “Keep me out of your ridiculous arguments, Lance. And besides,” he turned back to the tablet with the air of a man who was just about to betray the trust of everyone who loves him, “we both know Keith never listens anyway.”
Keith gaped, affronted.
Lance crossed his arms, a smirk slipping onto his face.
Ignoring them, Shiro stood from the couch and left the lounge, his eyes never looking up from the tablet.
“Anyway,” Keith continued, putting his forehead to the palm of his hand, “that has nothing to do with the topic at hand.”
“Which is completely pointless, I may add.”
“Lance, can you please tell me why you can’t just leave my hair alone?”
Most probably homicide.
He’s watching TV over the edge of his laptop when Scott brings up the fact that he’s still a lonely loser in his third year of college without a boyfriend which, while being completely true, is really fucking unappreciated. It sparks a desperate need to save what little manhood Stiles has and, before he knows it, he’s blurting, “I totally have a boyfriend, dude. Shows how much you know.”
How was he supposed to know Scott would doubt him? It’s not Stiles’ fault that someone named Derek Hale really exists. It’s also not his fault when his lie grows legs and runs so far he can’t find it until it’s too late – too late and standing right in front of him, gorgeous and annoyed and not at all the person Stiles made him up to be.
Yeah, this could get bad.
In which Derek has been invited to the Greater Pacific Northwest Alpha Symposium (that’s not what it’s called, Stiles, stop saying that), and showing up unattached would mean an arranged marriage. When the rest of the pack objects, he agrees to let Stiles come along to pose as his mate. Derek is reasonably sure that he’s not going to make it out of this weekend alive.
Harry’s a Pilates Teacher and He Likes Bambi. A lot.
“James is never angry, thank you very much. He is the most content of all cats, actually. The vet says she’s never seen a more comfortable cat.”
“What sort of a name is James for a cat anyway?”
“I love Gavin and Stacey.” Harry stared back her, his face blank, willing her to go on. “James Corden.”
“You named your cat after James Corden?”
“Got a problem with that?”
“No,” he smirked. “Not at all.”
8500 words, be nice. I tried.
A big thank you to my home gals @islareeveswriting and @harrysmeadow for once again being true angels and reading this one several times for me, and spotting all the things that didn’t make sense which I’d missed. Where would I be without them?
BMC Elementary School Headcanons
A continuation of this, because I got cut off early: https://jeremy-is-a-furry.tumblr.com/post/161986668951/elementary-school-boyf-riends-pls-give-me-the-good
- Once Jeremy got his hair stuck to Michael’s glasses, and they were both screaming
- Jeremy was the kid who cried if you told him santa wasn’t real while Michael was the conspiracist who explained all the reasons why he’s FALSE and IMPOSSIBLE
-“shut up!” “Gasp!!! I’m telling!! MS LELAY MICHAEL SAID A BAD WORD!!!!”
- Jeremy had a short phase where he let his hair grow long but the second it was constantly in his eyes he cut it again
- Michael and Jeremy had gameboys and DS’s that they carried everywhere the went
-once a bully broke Michael’s DS and he cried for like the whole week, Jeremy gave him his and said it was no big cuz a new one would come out soon anyway
-Jeremy brought in his pet turtle for show and tell and it scared the teacher shitless
- Rich was the child who drew very questionable and concerning things
- Jeremy once had a pet fish that he named Glug
-Glug lasted like a month
-Michael was invited to Glug’s funeral
- “oh yeah?! Well I’m a magician!!! *waves pencil back and forth* it bends!!” “Jeremy you learned that on the back of a kids cuisine!!”
- Jeremy was a Boy Scout, but he was kinda shit at it
-the one time Rich talked to Jake during these years it was because Rich was crying over dropping his favorite snack. Jake told him he could have his granola bar and sat with him until he was ok
-the next day Rich said hi and Jake didn’t recognize him
- Jake used to throw those Pump It Birthday parties a lot, even for other people. No one ever knew how he threw all these parties or why he was doing them in the first place.
-Jeremy begged him for like a week to throw one for Michael before he actually agreed
-the silly band phase hit everyone hard. No one was spared. Michael and Rich still have some to this day.
- Chloe and Brooke braided everyone’s hair. Even the teachers.
-they went through the handmade friendship bracelet phase, and taught each other different tying techniques.
- Michael, sipping a juice box: Idk man life sucks
-Michael was always really sensitive to loud noises, so the constant screaming of elementary school bothered him a lot. That is until he was introduced to the concept of headphones and music and since they he’d carried them everywhere.
-“Jeremy why are we losers??” “I don’t know! You’re like! The coolest guy I know!!!!” “You are too! Even though you chew on paintbrushes at art”
Peter Parker Dating A Tomboy Would Include...
- On the first day of school you wear a dress and flats (because your parent/s) make you and everyone thinks you’re a girly girl.
- The next day you come in ripped jeans, black boots and an army jacket and eVERYONE IS SO CONFUSED.
- You have like five people ask you to sit with them but they all look like they’d use you to become popular so PASS.
- Randomly plopping down at Peter and Ned’s lunch table cuz you wanna be left alone.
- Peter freaks out a bit? Probably because you look like a confident warrior in army boots and black everything.
- Ned idolizes you for being so confident but is also scared of you.
- “I don’t bite you know. Unless you want me to.”
- Michelle LOVES you. Finally, a girl she can really relate to. (The two of you become good friends.)
- Once Peter is comfortable around you sarcasm gets REAL.
- Soo much sarcasm.
- Dirty jokes™
- “Hey PARKER! Are you made of copper and Tellurium? Because you’re CuTe.”
- Update: Peter has never blushed that hard.
- Update: You can’t stop laughing because Peter looks like a tomato.
- RANDOMLY NARRATING PEOPLES LIVES TO ANNOY THEM
- “Today, in the exciting life of Peter Benjamin Parker, our hero is struggling to poke a hole through his juice box.”
- Peter finally asks you out and suddenly he’s just as scared as before:
- “So, um- would you maybe…You don’t have to! But we could- uh, go on a-
- “Yes.”
- Tons of arcade dates, pizza dates, McDonald’s dates (cuz both of you are broke as hell)
- “Do you always want to eat pizza?
- “Pizza is love, pizza is life my friend.”
- “How- how are you even still alive?
- Trying to get Peter to wear flannel.
- He refuses
- Until one day you were having a sleepover at his apartment and you walk into the room after changing in only flannel (and underwear. calm your horny selves, ok?).
- And suddenly Peter is all over flannel. (And you. (oops if had to))
- Peter Parker in flannel and a beanie *uterus bursts, heads roll, you = dead*
- Him being the first person to really see your more sensitive side. When you have a bad day you don’t tell anyone but Peter.
- No secrets between you. At all. Like the moment he became Spiderman he told you.
- “(Name) HOLY SHIIIIT GUESS WHAT?” at like 1 am.
- “Peter I swear to god if you woke me up to tell me you finished the Lego Hogwarts set I will mess you the fuck up.”
- “Peter I’m bored.”, “Peter I’m lonely.” also at 1 am.
- “I’ll be there in thirty minutes.
- “Before you say anything, my parents aren’t home.”
- “I’ll bE thERe in FiVE mInutES.
- Hating the word “babe” for no reason so you make up different names for Peter and he does the same.
- Peter: sweetness, sunshine (it’s ironic) ,geek, princess, darling, MY QUEEN.
- You: sugar, my king, loser, sweetness, and cuz he’s Spiderman: spidey, itsy bitsy, tIGHTY WHITIES AJEBJANSN
- You also call him Penis Parker, but for totally different reasons. *smirks in five different languages*
- Helping Peter become more confident under pressure. (But still kicking Flash’s ass when he hurts your loser.)
- SUB! PETER FIGHT ME ON THIS.
- You’re the dom! in the relationship but he is just such. a. sub.
- Peter accidentally fell on you and his face landed in your boob and he moaned? Like, actual, really loud, total sub moan. Right into your chest. Just cuz he touched your boob.
- You and him are relationship goals. Seriously.
The One Where Its Not Jace
Pairing: Alec Lightwood x Reader
Summary: It had been years since you fell for Alec but lately it seemed like everyone was trying to get you two together. When Alec finally admits he likes you, you can’t manage to get the words out but things take a funny turn when you lose a bet during training.
A/N: ahhh alec fans, this ones for you 💝
MASTERLIST, MOBILE MASTERLIST (you can like it and save it for later!)
—————————————————————————————————
“Alec?” you whisper, pushing his door open. A long creaking sound echoes does the hall way and you cringe as it continues to do so each inch you push the door open.
Alec appears in the doorway, “What are you doing here?” he asks, his face stuck in a frown.
“Isabelle said you wanted to see me?”
Alec looks at you, confused and you sigh.
Isabelle knew you had fallen head over heels for Alec the moment you had met him and once again you had fallen into one of her traps in which she tried to set you both up.
“Never mind,” you grumble, starting to walk away and Alec pulls you inside by your arm, shutting the door and pressing you against it. He holds a finger up to his lips.
“Someone’s coming,” he whispers as someone knocks on the door.
“Alec, you in there?” you hear Jace’s voice from the other side of the door and Alec relaxes, attempting to open the door before you shake your head.
“What?” he mouths the words.
“Jace can’t know I’m here,” you hiss and Alec raises a brow, crossing his arms over his chest, “Why?”
“He just can’t,” you whisper. You knew if Jace saw you he would make some stupid joke about you and Alec and then there was no way Alec wouldn’t catch on.
“I’m just getting changed,” Alec calls out, pushing you into his closet before opening his door.
“I thought I heard you talking to someone,” Jace states, looking around as Alec shakes his head.
“Figured y/n would be in here,” he turns to face Alec whose eyes widen, “Why would you think that?”
“Izzy told me.”
“Why would she think that?”
“I think she sent y/n here, another failed attempt I suppose.”
You feel your breathe hitch in your throat, “Please don’t ask, please don’t ask, please don’t ask,” you mumble to yourself.
“Failed attempt at what?”
Jace stares at Alec as though he’s oblivious, “You don’t know, do you?”
“Know what?”
Jace sighs, flopping onto Alec’s bed, “The girl is totally in love with you.”
“No she’s not!” Alec laughs before Jace gives him a knowing look. Alec’s eyes travel towards his closet where you were standing.
“Well, do you like her back?” Jace asks, sitting up.
Alec swallows hard, “I- I, uhh-“
You push the closet open, not wanting to hear his answer and speed out the door, everything become a blur in your attempt to get away from them.
—————————————————————————————————-
“Y/N,” you hear Alec’s heavy breathing behind you as you rush into your room, trying to shut your door but Alec is too strong.
He walks in, Jace following behind him.
“Get out!” you toss a pillow at them and they both dodge it, stifling laughter.
“Oh, just tell him already. It’s getting painful to watch,” Jace scoffs and you shake your head, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Y/N…” Alec starts and you shake your head. You had seen the hesitation on his face when Jace had asked him about his feelings for you. You knew there was no way he felt the same.
“Alec, it’s not you that I like. It’s Jace,” you sigh and Jace’s eyes widen.
“That’s ridiculous,” he laughs and you shrug, “Well I guess you don’t feel the same way.”
I’m dating Clary,” he reminds you.
Oh, yeah. Well that’s too bad. I’m heart broken, really,” you inhale sharply, “Now can you both get out so I can cry myself to sleep.”
Alec and Jace awkwardly stumble out and you shut the door behind them, “Fuck,” you mumble as you fall back onto your bed, “Fuck, fuck, fuck.”
After a good hour of feeling sorry for yourself, you pull yourself up, pulling your clothes over your head and searching for pyjama’s so you could go to bed and just forget this night happened.
“OH!”
You spin around to find Alec in the doorway and he quickly puts a hand over his eyes. You scramble to pull a t-shirt and shorts on.
“It’s okay, you can look now,” you sigh and he looks at you embarrassedly.
“I just wanted to see if you were okay after what happened with Jace,” he smiles warmly, taking a seat on the edge of your bed.
You sit beside him, “I’ll live.”
“I didn’t even know you liked him. Is that why you didn’t want him to see us together? So he wouldn’t get the wrong idea?”
You nod slowly; it was an unintentional coincidence but it made a perfect cover story.
“So when – what – I mean, what exactly made you like him?”
You paused for a moment, thinking about all the things you liked about Alec instead, “I don’t know – it was just the moment I saw him. Trying to protect everyone - trying to do the right thing no matter how much it hurt him,” you pause, not wanting to say too much in fear of Alec realizing you were talking about him.
“Why didn’t you tell him sooner? Maybe if you had, it would’ve been you and not Clary.”
“I was too scared. Why would someone like that ever want someone like me?”
Alec stares at you, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear, “Hey,” he whispers softly, “Anyone would be lucky to have you love them.”
You shake your head.
“Trust me. It’s those who you don’t love that are unlucky. And they feel that pain every day.”
“Name one,” you laugh.
Me,” he states, swallowing hard.
“W-what?”
“This may be the stupidest thing I ever do, but I need to tell you this,” he begins, wringing his hands as he speaks, “I like you, like a lot, and I – I didn’t think to tell you. There’s been so much going on since Clary arrived, it never felt like the right time. But the same way you felt about Jace when you first saw him – that’s how I felt about you. And I can’t risk doing what you did. I don’t think I could stand seeing you with someone else without you knowing how I feel.”
You stare at him in awe and he begins to blush, “I get it if you don’t feel the same. I mean I know you don’t- I was there when you talked to Jace but just – just think about it. Think about me.”
Alec stands up abruptly, wiping his sweaty palms against his jeans as he starts to walk away before you can say another word.
—————————————————————————————————-
You barely get any sleep and by the time it’s 5am you give and decide to go practice your combat skills rather than roll around in bed, half excited and half unsure of what to do. You wanted to tell Alec you felt the exact same way but for some reason the words just wouldn’t come out. Just like they’d never been able to.
“Hey,” you hear Alec’s voice as he catches up to you.
“Couldn’t sleep,” you mumble, rubbing your eyes, “Thought I’d get in some traininGLDKJA-AHHHH,” you yawn halfway through and Alec chuckles.
“In that?” he looks you up at down, and you feel embarrassed as you look down to see you’re still in your pyjamas. You didn’t think anyone would be awake; let alone Alec.
“I could still kick your ass in this,” you nudge him playfully.
“We’ll see,” he retorts before pausing, “Why don’t we make it interesting?”
“Mmhm?”
“If I win – you let me take you out on a proper date; you give me a chance.”
“And if I win?”
“Well, that’s up to you,” he shrugs.
“Deal.”
“Wait- what happens if you win?”
“You stay still for a minute,” you whisper.
“What does that mean?” he asks and you shrug, “You’ll see.”
Alec grimaces just thinking about it; you had kicked his ass on many occasions and he wondered if you were going to make him stay still through some really painful headlock or something.
You sparred for a good 20 minutes before you both started taking serious swings at each other but you of course won, knocking Alec on his ass and pinning him down despite him being fairly larger than you.
“Alright, alright,” he laughs as you straddle him, your sword at his neck. You retreat it, tossing it aside and Alec attempts to sit up.
You shake your head, “You lost.”
Alec nods, putting his head back on the floor before inhaling deeply and laying still.
You yourself were way too nervous but you couldn’t help yourself; you knew if not now, you would never be able to tell Alec how you felt.
Alec’s eyes widen as you move closer to his face, pressing your lips against his. He tangles his fingers in your hair and you let out a soft moan before he flips the two of you around, pinning you to the floor this time. As he pulls away, he hovers over you before his eyes widen and he stumbles backwards, landing on his ass.
“So much for staying still,” you laugh and Alec looks embarrassed.
“Why did you do that?”
“The one I like – it’s not Jace,” you laugh.
“Oh,” Alec grins at you and you pout, “Though, how badly did you really want to go on a date with me? You didn’t even try!”
Alec smirks at you, “I didn’t want to hurt you…”
“Oh really?” you giggle as he stands up, holding out a hand to help you up.
As you take it, he pulls you swiftly up and against his chest, wrapping his arms around your waist.
“I would never,” he whispers, pulling you back onto his lips.
“That’s too bad. If you had, you might be going on a date with me.”
“We can still go on a date,” he mumbles against your lips, “I don’t go out with losers,” you whisper back, smiling.
“If this is what the loser gets, I’ll lose every single time.”
“Never?”
You were already regretting the words you had let slip out of your lips.
“You’re joking right?” Ashton asked. “You have to be joking.”
You couldn’t read his tone; and if he was about to start mocking you, you really weren’t in the mood.
“Just forget I said anything,” you said. You attempted to clamber to your feet; but before you even really had the chance to move, Ashton grabbed your wrist.
“Y/N.”
“Ash,” you said, trying to sound as stern as possible. “I said forget it.”
He held your gaze for a moment, before his face broke into a grin. “Seriously Y/N, where the hell have you been finding the guys you’ve been fucking?”
You thumped him on the arm. “Ashton!”
“What?” he laughed. “I just want to know where my best friend has been picking up these losers that haven’t been able to make her cum.”
Thoughts on IT
(spoiler free unless you don’t want to know ANYTHING)
- I’m about to do what I disliked about other reviews, say who I thought was best in the film….sorry other cast members!
- Richie/Finn: Oh my god, Richie was fucking hilarious. I laughed so much, along with the whole theatre. He definitely stole the show, Finn is so talented. Its been a day and I’m still laughing at his lines when they come into my head. His sense of humour has become a lot less offensive and a hell of a lot funnier.  It feels like Richie had the most screen time and some of the other Losers suffered due to it, but I just can’t imagine cutting any of his scenes or lines
- Ben/Jeremy: I love Jeremy, but I didn’t expect to enjoy his performance as much as I did. He and Richie were my favourite losers in this film (even though Eddie and Mike were my favourite in the book) and I don’t understand why more reviews aren’t calling out Jeremy for an excellent performance like they are for Finn and Sophia. His introduction scene is probably one of my three favourite in the whole movie- another hilarious scene but it had such heart behind it and Jeremy was just brilliant, as was Sophia
- Bev/Sophia was also excellent. Bev is a really enjoyable character in this movie, she is a love interest and the film avoids making her a sexy lamp or a plot device by really adding to her character and giving her some strong individual scenes.  She’s definitely romanticized but she definitely is a lot more than a love interest. There is one scene with the whole ‘everyone is in love with Bev’ schtick but it was funny enough that I didn’t mind. I think the film also avoided the damsel in distress trope pretty well. Bev is a really interesting, well defined character and Sophia did a great job!
- I don’t have much to say about the others but they were all great! Great performances from all, they just didn’t stand out as much as those three
- I really enjoyed the Losers Club and their dynamic as a team and as a friendship. I wish we had gotten just a little more scenes like the swimming one, where they are just having fun (after all, they played games in between fighting IT in the novel) but it was pretty clear that the film was cramped for time…
- the film did feel at times like it was rushing through a checklist of scenes that it had to get through, to set up the plot or characters. The film lacked some stuff (particular losers suffered from a lack of screen time, see next point) Maybe this sounds odd considering IT has such a long runtime, but I got the impression they struggled with actually narrowing it down to that time. They definitely cut a few scenes, one pretty important one that was seen in multiple trailers (I was disappointed to see it go and I’m definitely not gonna be the only one). There was one sequence where it suddenly jumped to a different person nearby and I don’t know whether they cut a scene in between or edited it poorly but I still don’t know how they got there or what they were doing or where they actually were? It’s hard to explain without spoiling but yeah, that scene confused me
- Stan and Mike, particularly Mike, definitely didn’t get enough screen time. Stan probably had more actual screen time then Ben but Ben just felt more present, since he had more importance in the story and an important relationship with Bev. Stan was one of the original 4 losers but he had the least dialogue out of all of them and its a shame, Wyatt is really talented and I would have liked to have seen more. I can tell Stan was the victim of a few cut scenes. I also feel pretty sorry for poor Chosen as Mike, who was under-utilized and just…. joined the losers. There was no scene of him getting to know them, no bonding scene for the whole seven. He just joined the Losers and went with them to kill IT. He did have his own character arch, which I enjoyed but he still had the least screen time, which is unfortunate, especially considering how important he is in the sequel
- As for the horror, I wasn’t scared during the trailers and I wasn’t scared during the film (horror films just never feel real enough to genuinely scare me) The audience members did react to the film positively, to the jokes and to the scares. Personally, I thought the horror was a little lazy because (KIND OF SPOILER) nearly every scare was a jump-scare. It was effective but I guess I just expected more. My favourite scary scenes included the first group trip to Neibolt Trip (probably another one of my favourite overall scenes) and the projector scene
- As for the couples, I’m trying not to be biased here but I think people who exclusively ship Bill/Bev after the trailers might just be swayed by Benverly who have some brilliant scenes, their dynamic is great and I can think of one small, hilarious moment they shared which really stood out. They didn’t have any moments in the trailer but they had plenty in the film. A combination of the two really talented actors and a great dynamic made it the superior couple in my mind (then again, I always preferred it to Bill/Bev. To be fair, they had a good dynamic and Jaeden is obviously also very talented! I’m not a fan of the love triangle in media but I could stomach this one.
As for my other IT ship, Reddie did not disappoint. The banter that we saw in the MTV grey water scene was a gift that kept on giving. We also saw a couple moments which showed the genuine closeness between them (one adorable shot made me want to write a fluffy AU immediately, certain scenes in Neibolt Street made me feel very angsty). I don’t mean to overhype this, they definitely aren’t ‘canon’ and I don’t believe their scenes become so overt it nears queerbaiting, just a well written dynamic which is pretty damn shippable. Also Richie/Bill and Richie/Stan shippers will have some moments to enjoy!
- The movie strays from the book quite a lot, I personally didn’t mind but if you’re a book purist then prepare yourself
- I know I did mention a few negative things but overall I really enjoyed the film! I recommend it completely, I had a great time and I can’t wait for everyone else to see it
in which flash lives in a fancy house and peter and michelle are far too dorky for their own good.
  • okay, so like. mj always knew that flash was wealthy, you know. he drives a really fancy car and he wears an expensive watch. his hair is always styled in that…rich dude way. but she’s never really had to face how wealthy he truly is until she’s driving deep into the suburbs, surrounded on either side by houses that keep getting larger and more grandiose.
  • ned is in the back just, gawking. “that house is the size of my apartment building!” “oh my goodness, is that a fountain?” “that car has a rolls royce just parked in the driveway!” and ned’s gasping breaths are the soundtrack to their car ride because peter’s phone died and they don’t know the radio stations this far out of the city.
  • when they finally pull up to his house, there is a large driveway that leads up to an even larger house. cars are lined up and down the block and they seem some people from school walking up the driveway. mj parks around the corner and takes a deep breath. she turns around to look at ned and betty and smiles, “ready?”
  • when she looks back at peter, he has the odd look on his face that she doesn’t really want to deal with right now. “ready, loser?” she asks him. and before he can answer, she opens the car door and stretches. when she walks around the car, peter is waiting for her. “ready as ever.” he answers.
  • she can’t help it so she wraps her arms around his shoulders and he wraps his arm around her waist. they walk like that to the party, peter snug under her arm and him pulling her close.
  • she ignores the smug look on ned’s face when he wiggles his eyebrows at her. she just turns and looks straight ahead, allowing herself to enjoy the feel of his fingers squeezing at her waist.
I was walking down the hall when I saw the poster. After Liz Allen left Midtown in the beginning of the school year, the Academic Decathlon team was looking for a new member to replace her spot. Given my excellent GPA and grades, not to mention my love for trivia and competition, I decided to try my luck and apply. This would’ve been a great way to meet new friends anyway, I hope. See, I had classmates I talked to, but no one I could really call a friend. That changed when I heard back from the Decathlon team; they’d accepted my application. For the next few months, it was safe to say that I had found a friend in Michelle, Ned, and Peter.
Peter freaking Parker.
The thing about Peter Parker was that you couldn’t just be his friend. No. Once you get to know him, well, it’s hard to not fall in love with him. Or, as close to love as I understand. All I know is that I want him to be in my life for as long as possible: as a friend, or more than a friend. Preferably the second option, but that’s just me hopelessly praying.
“With you staring at him like that, I’m surprised he hasn’t caught on,” Michelle muttered.
I snapped out of my daze, and smacked MJ’s arm, “I do not stare.” Michelle gave me a dead-panned look and I sighed. “I just wanted to see if he was getting fries today. They’re pretty good,” I said, focusing on my tray of food instead.
Peter and Ned were in the lunch line, and MJ and I were sat at our table waiting for them. I picked at my food while MJ sat reading one of her books.
Michelle chuckled, “Yeah. Okay. Why don’t you just ask him out? You know, break those gender roles.”
I scoffed, “I’m all for that, but, in case you haven’t noticed -I’m a chicken.”
“And in case you haven’t noticed, Parker is too. He clearly has a thing for you. Anyone with eyes could see that,” she said stealing a fry, “and anyone without eyes could see it too.”
I scoffed in disbelief, “Sure he does.”
Michelle rolled her eyes, “You’ll see.”
I turned to look at her, “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“It means, you’ll see that I’m right -as usual,” she shrugged, continuing to read.
“What aren’t you telling me?” I said, narrowing my eyes.
“Sup losers,” MJ called, not looking up from her book.
Furrowing my brows in confusion, I looked around to see who she was talking to. And there in front of our table was Ned and Peter. Ned greeted me with a warm smile and Peter -Peter looked like he was about to present in front of the class.
“Why do you still call us losers?” Ned asked, taking a seat.
MJ shrugged and said, “Can’t change much in 3 months.”
I laughed, but then noticed that Peter was still standing up, just staring. “You okay, Pete?” I asked, looking up at him.
“H-Hi,” he said, finally sitting down.
“Hi?” I said, laughing slightly at his awkwardness. It was cute, so I smiled nonetheless.
“Oh god,” I heard MJ whisper to herself. She looked up when she realized she said that out loud. “This part in the book just got really awkward and pathetic, so,” she said, motioning to the book.
Peter gave her a look, but then turned to me. “To answer your question, I’m great, just um, thinking about the quiz next period,” he said, chewing on his food.
“Yeah, Peter’s been worried about this quiz all day; I’m telling him he shouldn’t worry and will be glad to just get it over with,” Ned added.
“Please,” MJ muttered. Looking up once again, she said “the book.”
“The quiz can’t be that bad,” I tried to reassure him.
“Oh, it’s not,” Ned said. “Peter just worries about everything going wrong, when I’m sure it’ll be fine,” he said, looking at Peter as he emphasized the last part.
“I mean, I hope it goes well. I’ve uh, I’ve been practicing,” his eyes widened, “I mean studying -I’ve been studying.”
Ned stifled a laugh, “Been studying for a while, haven’t you Peter?”
“Shut up Ned,” Peter mumbled, turning red.
“I’m sure your studying will pay off,” I said, offering him a small smile.
Peter smiled back and I had to look away before I started blushing.
His face is just so cute
Ned cleared his throat, “You know what? I forgot something in my locker, I should go get it before lunch ends.”
We all looked at Ned, and I spoke up, “You just got here.”
“Did I? I didn’t even notice,” he said, trying to laugh it off.
“Lunch isn’t over for another 15 minutes, you don’t have to leave right now,” I said, confused.
“15 minutes?” Michelle exclaimed. “Ah, well, better start walking now. There’s probably a huge crowd in the hall or something. I’ll go with you -I need to return this book to the library anyway, it’s not a good read.” MJ got up from the lunch table and started shoving Ned to walk. “C’mon,” she said.
“What? Ned!” Peter cried, looking desperately at his friend. “MJ?”
Ned glimpsed back and gave Peter a thumbs up, “Good luck on the quiz!
“Lord knows you’ll need it,” MJ mumbled.
Peter looked at their forms retreat, and I shuffled in my seat. We’ve never really been alone before. Deciding to break the silence, I asked, “Um, how much is your quiz even worth?”
Peter looked at me, his brown eyes piercing my own. “Everything,” he softly whispered.
I scrunched up my face, “Everything? A quiz can’t be worth that much, I mean, it’s not like it’s a test.”
“I think it’s worth more than that,” he said, propping his chin up with his fist.
“More than a test?” I laughed in disbelief. “I doubt that.” I looked down at my food, and continued to eat. I was conscious enough to make sure I didn’t look like a complete pig while eating; I was very much aware that Peter was still looking at me.
“Um, Y/N?” Peter hesitantly asked.
“Mmhmm?” I asked, taking a sip of water.
“There’s no quiz next period,” he confessed.
“There isn’t?” I asked, setting down my bottle. “Then what has you so worried?”
“Uh, I wanted to ask you,” Peter paused, “something.” I gave him an expectant look so he continued, “I was hoping you and I could, um, go out? Together? Like, on a date or something.” Peter didn’t look at me directly, and I could see that he was blushing.
I was too.
“Oh,” I said, stunned.
Oh my god
“Bu-but you don’t have to! If you don’t want to!” Peter quickly added. “I-it’s cool, I understand. We could just forget that this-”
I cut him off, “No!” Realizing I said that a little too loud, I lowered my voice. “No -I mean, not ‘No’. I meant yes! I’d -I would love to go on a date. With you. Together,” I stumbled.
“You would?” Peter breathed.
“Of course,” I said, tucking my hair behind my ear, trying to hide my smile.
“Cool,” he smiled.
I chuckled nervously, “Cool.”
“So, um, when are you free?” He asked, finally meeting my eyes.
“Always,” I said too quickly. “I mean, I’d have to check my schedule, but, I’m available any day. Most likely”
Smooth, Y/N, smooth
Peter smiled, “Th-that’s great! How about we go out…tomorrow?” He looked nervous all over again. “Or is that too soon?”
“No, it’s great! It’s not too soon at all,” I said, trying not to seem too eager. “Um, did you have anything in mind?”
“I was thinking we could go old school and watch a movie -maybe eat afterwards,” he said, grinning. “Or eat before, if you want. Or not eat at all. Uh, you know what? We could do something else actually. This seemed like a good idea in my head, but it sounds kinda lame now that I’m saying this out loud and-”
“It’s not lame, it’s perfect,” I smiled. “I love going to the movies. And eating.”
Peter looked relieved, “Really? That’s great! Cause there’s this new movie that comes out tomorrow, and it looks sick.”
“What movie?”
IT,” he replied, with a gleam in his eyes.
“The one with the clown?” I asked.
“Yeah,” he said, sounding excited.
“I’m down -since I’m not watching IT alone,” I chuckled at my joke.
Oh my god,” he replied, rolling his eyes. Nonetheless, he let out a laugh, shaking his head. “Dinner and a movie is fun, right? It’s not too dumb?” He then asked, some doubt in his voice.
“Seriously Peter, I’m looking forward to IT,” I said, reaching across the table to put my hand over his.
“I can’t wait to hear more of your lame puns tomorrow night,” he grinned, looking at our hands with a faint smile. “I want our first date to be perfect,” he murmured.
My heart fluttered at his words and at how sweet he was being. I blushed when he turned his hand over to hold mine, softly running his thumb on the back of my hand. The bell decided it was a good time to ring, so Peter and I pulled back. He cleared his throat and we both got up to throw away our food.
“Um, so, what time should I, uh, pick you up?” He asked shyly.
“Oh, you don’t have to come get me, I live so far from you,” I protested.
“It’s, like, a rule of first dates that I can’t break, Y/N,” Peter countered. “I want to do this right, so let me be a gentleman.”
“Fine,” I said, fighting a smile. “Is there a show time around 7?”
“There’s one at 7:45, so, I can come get you at 7? Is that okay?” He asked.
“Yeah,” I smiled.
“Cool,” he smiled back. “I guess I should start walking to class now,” he said, seeing how we had to go opposite ways.
“I guess you should,” I jokingly said, “you don’t want to miss your quiz.”
“What quiz?” Peter said, looking panicked for a moment. “Oh,” he said, realization dawning upon him, “right. The 'quiz’. Very funny, Y/N.”
I put on a huge smile for him to see and said, “It’s too funny to tease you.”
Peter let out a breathless chuckle and then quickly leaned in to kiss my cheek. If I hadn’t felt it, I would’ve thought that I imagined it. His movements were quick and short, but still sweet.
When he pulled back, he looked flustered and I mirrored his expression.
“W-was that okay?” He whispered, sounding nervous.
“Um, yeah -more than okay. With me,” I mumbled.
Peter offered a small smile and slowly started to walk away. “Okay, I’ll -I’ll see you tomorrow.”
After collecting myself, I called back, “Don’t be late Parker!”
“I won’t!” He said, turning to me as he walked, bumping into some students. “Sorry,” he mumbled, as he went.
I let out a chuckle and shook my head.
I can’t wait for tomorrow
“Is this one okay?” I asked, twirling in front of my webcam.
“Yeah,” MJ replied.
“You know I can see you, right? You’re not even looking at the screen!” I exasperated.
I was currently web-chatting MJ, and she was supposed to be helping me choose an outfit for my date with Peter today. Key words: supposed to.
I heard MJ sigh, but then look at me through the screen. “Everything looks great on you, Y/N. Peter’s seen you in hoodies and sneakers all the time -he’ll swoon at anything you wear.”
I smiled at Michelle’s compliment, and looked down at my choices again.
“Pick the grey sweatshirt with the black jeans and boots. Not the ones with heels though, you don’t wanna over do it. Oh, add a necklace and you’re all set.” She said.
“Hair up or down?” I asked, gathering the clothes she suggested.
“Down,” she confirmed.
“You’re a life saver,” I sighed.
“I know,” she shrugged, smirking a bit.
“I gotta get ready, I’ll tell you how it goes!” I said, sitting back down to sign off.
Please don’t,” she sighed.
“Oh c'mon, you know you wanna hear about it,” I said, teasingly.
“Do I really?” She asked rhetorically.
“I’ll save it for Monday,” I replied.
“What kind of mercy is that,” MJ muttered.
“Bye Michelle,” I said smiling.
She put the peace sign up, then hung up. I have three hours until Peter shows up -just enough time for me to get ready.
At 6:55, I was rushing around my house to make sure I had everything. Truth be told, I was pretty sure I had everything that I needed -given that I was ready to leave 20 minutes ago.
“Please sit down, you’re giving me a headache,” my mom sighed from the couch.
“Mom, I just want to make-”
“'Make sure you have everything’ yes, I’ve heard it for the past half hour,” she finished for me, giving me a teasing smile.
I sheepishly looked at her. “I’m just nervous.”
My mom’s eyes softened. “It’s your first date, I’m sure it’ll be fine. Besides, he’s your friend, right?”
“Yes, so, please don’t embarrass me when he gets here.” I sighed, taking a seat next to her.
“If I don’t embarrass my daughter, then who will?” She joked.
“I’m perfectly capable of doing that all on my own,” I muttered.
My mom let out a laugh, “Sweetheart, just be glad that your father’s not home right now to greet him.”
“Oh I’m extremely glad, if Dad was here, he’d threaten Peter with-”
I was cut off by the door bell ringing. I gasped, “Oh my god, he’s here!” I sprang up from the couch. “Mom! He’s here!” I whisper-yelled.
My mom glanced to the clock, “I’m aware. He’s very punctual. I swear that it just turned 7.”
I sped walked to the door and had my hand hovering over the door knob. Taking a deep breath, I unlocked it, and pulled it open.
The butterflies in my stomach only grew when I saw Peter in front of me. He was about to knock instead, but put his hand down when he saw me.
“Oh,” he chuckled. Then he looked at me, blushing with a smile. “Y-you look beautiful, Y/N.”
I could feel how red my face turned, so I looked down at Peter’s outfit instead, smiling shyly. He was wearing his grey hoodie with a blue button-up shirt underneath. His dark jeans and shoes made him look so hot -what the hell. Mustering a reply, I said, “You do too.”  My eyes widened when I realized what I said. “I meant handsome. You look handsome. Not beautiful. I mean, you’re beautiful too. You’re both.” I chuckled nervously.
“Th-thanks Y/N,” he said, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink.
“Are those for me?” I asked, pointing to the bouquet of flowers.
In turn, Peter seemed like he barely remembered what he was holding. “Oh! Yeah! Yes! Here,” he said, handing them to me.
I smiled even wider at his gesture, “This is so sweet, thank you Peter.” Practically melting on the spot, I caressed the bouquet and continued, “I’m surprised you made it right on time.”
“Well, I actually got here at 6:50 but I just, sorta, stood outside your door until it was 7,” he sheepishly admitted, blushing profusely.
“Peter,” I lightly laughed, “are you serious?”
“Y/N? Are you just going to flirt or are you going to let me meet him?” My mom called from the living room.
Now my face was red -for a whole other reason. “Mom!” I exclaimed, turning around to give her a look of complete horror.
She stood up and headed towards me, “Oh, he got you flowers! How sweet,” she cooed.
“Mom!” I exasperated, embarrassed. I stepped aside and opened the door wider when my mom came by my side.
Ignoring me, my mom greeted Peter. “And this young man must be Peter!”
Peter looked like he was going to shit his pants. Nervously offering his hand, he said, “Nice to finally meet you Mrs. Y/L/N, I’m Peter Parker.”
My mom raised her brows at his manners, “Y/N didn’t tell me she was going on a date with a gentleman.” She gladly shook his hand, and Peter looked shy.
“I promised my aunt that I’d never disrespect a woman,” he admitted, pulling his hand back.
“Well I hope you plan to keep that promise tonight young man,” my mom smiled, with a serious look in her eyes.
Oh my god mom,” I cried, horrified at what she was suggesting.
“D-don’t worry mam, I fully intend to,” Peter replied, offering a small smile.
Before my mom could reply, I butt in. “Mom, we’ll be late for the movie. Can you put the flowers in a vase for me? Thanks!” I gave the flowers to my mom and starting heading out the door, lightly tugging on Peter’s arm.
“Be safe! Call me if anything happens! I want her home by midnight!” My mom called from the door as we walked down my drive-way.
I gave my mom a thumbs up and she stayed at the door until we got close enough to Peter’s car. “God, I am so sorry about that,” I muttered.
Peter replied with a chuckle, “Don’t be -I don’t think that went too bad, right?”
“Sure,” I laughed.
Peter was about to open the door, but he paused to look at me.
“My aunt May is going to drive us to the theater, and I am so sorry in advance for whatever she says during the ride,” he rushed, whispering slightly.
“It’ll be fine, Peter,” I whispered back. “Can’t be any worse than my mom’s comments.”
“You’d be surprised,” he mumbled, opening the door for me. I thanked him and he got in after me. I was immediately greeted by a woman in the front seat.
“Y/N! It’s so good to finally meet you! I’m Peter’s aunt, May. He’s talked so much about you-”
Peter cut her off, clearing his throat, “Aunt May.” He gave a look, but Aunt May kept talking.
“He didn’t exaggerate when he said you were gorgeous!” At that moment, Peter nearly choked on his spit. “Oh right. Peter doesn’t want me to 'embarrass’ him -and I’m not! I’m just making conversation,” she replied, rolling her eyes.
I giggled, “It’s nice to meet you Mrs. Parker.”
“Oh, ’Mrs. Parker.’ That’s so fancy, I like her,” Aunt May said to Peter.
I merely blushed and Peter decided to speak up, “I think we should start leaving. We don’t wanna get caught in traffic, you know.”
“Okay okay,” Aunt May sighed, starting the car. “Pretend I’m not here. I’m just an Uber driver.”
“May!” Peter cried.
“Lyft?” She suggested. I laughed at their banter and Peter replied by giving her another look. “Fine, I got it. I can take a hint,” she teased.
“I’m sorry about that,” Peter leaned in to whisper to me.
I got goosebumps at his close proximity, his voice so close to my ear, sending chills down my neck. “It’s okay Peter, I really like your aunt,” I whispered back.
He smiled back and looked down at his hands. He fumbled with his hands, and I looked out the window. Peter did too, and we sat in an uncomfortable silence. I decided to look at Peter and strike up a conversation. Though, I think he had the same idea in mind. We both started to say something but laughed when we spoke at the same time.
“You go first,” he suggested.
Normally I’d suggest Peter go first as well, but I knew that he would pull the I’m a gentleman card and refuse my offer. “I was just gunna say that I’m excited about the movie.”
“I am too, it actually looks scary. Have you seen the original?” He asked.
“No, but after this one, I want to watch it,” I replied.
“Me too! Maybe we can watch it together?” He shyly suggested.
I could hear Aunt May hold back a laugh from the front seat at Peter’s shy demeanor. He glared at her threw the rear-view mirror.
“I’d love that,” I grinned.
We continued the small talk for the rest of the ride, getting back to our friendly-selves.
Once we got the the theater, Peter insisted he go around to open my door for me again. When he was out of the car, I told Aunt May, “Your nephew is the sweetest guy I’ve ever met.”
Aunt May practically gushed, “I know, oh, I’m so proud of him! You seem like such a nice girl, take care of him for me, okay?”
“I will,” I said as Peter opened the door.
He gave a mock bow, “The ball awaits.”
I rolled my eyes and chuckled anyway. “Thanks Sir Peter.”
Getting out of the car, we made our way towards the entrance. Half way there, Aunt May rolled down the window and called out to Peter. We stopped walking and Peter said a quick “Wait here,” while he jogged back to the car. He leaned down to talk to his aunt. I couldn’t hear what they were saying, but I saw that Peter kept nodding. He waved goodbye and I did as well as Peter came back to me.
“Sorry about that,” he breathed.
“It’s cool, we still have enough time before the movie starts,” I shrugged.
“I’ll go buy us the tickets,” he said, opening the door for me when we got to the front.
“You won’t accept my money tonight, will you Sir Peter?” I teased.
“Nope,” he said grinning.
This theater didn’t check for ID, so Peter easily got tickets to an R-rated movie. We went inside and Peter bought popcorn and soda to share -much to my dismay, he payed for it all.
“Y/N, relax,” he chuckled at my expression.
“That was almost fifteen bucks,” I gaped. “Do they butter their popcorn with liquid gold or something?”
He let out a laugh. “I have enough money for tonight, don’t even worry about it,” he tried to reassure me as we made our way to find some seats.
“At least let me buy one thing tonight. My conscious is killing me,” I pleaded.
Peter sighed, but knew me too well to deny me this. “One thing. But, it can’t be too expensive.”
I smiled in triumph and we took our seats. Since this theater is a bit smaller, not a lot of people came to this one. They were probably at the one downtown -which was fine by me. I didn’t like huge crowds.
Peter and I quietly talked until the trailers started. We geeked out over our mutual love for films and it was an over-all fun time. When the movie finally started, I scoot closer to Peter, knowing that I was going to get scared at some parts. I needed comfort, okay? In the beginning of the film, something shocking happened out of no where, so I audibly gasped and hid my face in Peter’s shoulder. He flinched, surprised at my sudden movement. Then, he lifted his arm and wrapped it around me.
“You good?” He whispered.
“He just died,” I gaped.
“I know,” he whispered back. “Look away, I’ll be your shield.”
I smiled to myself and kept watching.
Peter was possibly the best person to see a movie with. Whenever I couldn’t stand the suspense, he held me closer. He whispered some funny comments, and I did as well. Having him quietly laugh in my ear was like music to my ears. I couldn’t tell if I got chills from the movie, or from how close Peter was to me. Not to mention how good his cologne smelled. Though, the movie was already funny in itself. Peter and I were dying of laughter.
“Omg, Finn by far had the best character,” I said walking out of the theater.
“Richie definitely had the best lines,” Peter agreed. “Eddie was my favorite though.”
We talked more about the movie, walking down the street towards a pizzeria. Peter’s hand brushed against mine and I blushed when he held it. He looked down at me and smiled. Offering him one back, we went to go eat. This time, Peter let me buy the drinks -which was something at least. We sat down at a table and talked like we normally would -this time it was for two hours. I’ve never had such a long one-on-one conversation with him and I loved it; it felt so natural to be around Peter, so the conversation flowed easily.
The only awkward part was when it was time to leave. His aunt was coming to pick us up, so Peter and I realized we had little time left for our date.
“Do you wanna wait outside?” He asked.
“Yeah,” I said.
We started walking back towards the theater to wait outside of it. Peter grabbed my hand -more confidently this time -and I bit my lip to keep from smiling. Peter stopped walking midway to the theater.
“Hey,” he said, getting my attention. “We don’t, um, have much time left tonight. And before we’re around my aunt and your mom, I wanted to, uh, sort of ask you something. Without them watching,” he nervously chuckled.
“Um, yeah, okay,” I said, looking up at him.
“I don’t,” he softly laughed, “I don’t know how to casually bring this up. I suck at this.”
“If it makes you feel better, I’ve never done this before,” I added.
“You’ve never been on a date?” He asked incredulously.
I slightly laughed, “No.”
Peter held both of my hands and interlocked them as he talked, fully facing me. “How is that -how is that possible? I mean, you- you’re perfect. You’re so pretty and funny and smart -how has no one asked you out on a date before?”
I smiled and blushed at his compliments. “I don’t know,” I said shyly, “boys just don’t like me like that.”
Peter scoffed, “That’s ridiculous. Any guy would be dumb to not like you.”
“Stop,” I said, laughing lightly. I looked away to hide the pink tint in my cheeks.
All these compliments are making my head spin.
“What?” He grinned back. He took my chin in his hand and made me look at him. “How do you not realize this?” He softly whispered, looking me in my eyes.
I held my breath and looked back at him. He moved his hand and cupped the back of my neck instead, his other hand lightly touching my waist.
“I-is this okay?” He asked.
I simply nodded, too nervous to say anything.
“Have you ever been kissed?” He murmured, looking at my lips. He moved his hand from my waist to the small of my back.
“Does preschool count?” I whispered, stepping impossibly closer.
He smiled and nodded his head no.
“Then no,” I replied, putting my hands on his shoulders.
“Me too.” He whispered. “Can I kiss you?” he asked finally.
I nodded my head yes and fluttered my eyes closed when our lips met. I wasn’t too sure what I was doing, but I matched Peter’s movements. His lips were really soft and felt so natural against my own. He pressed me further against him and I held back a moan. We kept kissing until we had to take a breath. He slowly pulled away and rested his forehead against mine.
“Are you sure you haven’t done that before?” He asked breathlessly.
“I could say the same for you,” I gasped lightly.
I couldn’t hold back my smile when Peter said, “We should definitely do this again.”
“Kiss? Or go on a date?” I asked.
“Both,” he replied. He gave me a short peck and then said, “it’ll be easier if you were my girlfriend though.”
I pulled back to look at his face. I wrapped my arms around his neck, playing with the end of his curls. “Is that your way of asking me to be your girlfriend?”
“Yes?” He said, unsure. “I mean, originally, I had this whole thing planned out but-”
I cut him off with a short kiss. “Yes,” I said eagerly.
Peter looked flustered, and said, “Really?”
“Do I really need to repeat myself Peter?” I teased.
“Maybe just the kiss part. I didn’t quite get that,” he said cheekily.
I rolled my eyes playfully when Peter’s phone dinged. He pulled away from me and checked it. “Shit, Aunt May’s outside the theater waiting for us.” Peter quickly stole a kiss. “One for the road.”
I merely blushed and tucked my hair behind my ear.
I can get used to this
He held my hand again and we walked back to May’s car. On the car ride back, we talked about the movie to May, getting excited as we retold the best scenes. He held my hand the whole car ride, even if it got sweaty after a while.
Once we got to my house, and Peter did his gentleman routine, I said goodbye to his aunt. Peter walked me to my door, and before I opened it, I decided to take advantage of the fact that my parents weren’t aware I was home yet.
I whispered softly, “This was one of the best nights of my life.”
Peter looked so happy, yet shocked, “Re-really? One of the best?”
I giggled quietly at his excitement. “Yes, definitely one of the best.”
Peter smiled and said, “I’ll text you later okay?”
“Okay,” I said, nodding my head.
The porch light above us turned on, so I quickly gave Peter a hug. “Bye, Peter!”
He hugged back and kissed my cheek when he pulled away, quickly whispering back, “Bye Y/N.”
He walked away and made it to the car before my door opened to show my dad standing there.
“Damn, did I miss him?” My dad asked, looking around.
“Yup, sorry Dad. Maybe you’ll meet him some other time,” I shrugged, walking inside.
“You can tell us all about the movie tomorrow. Go to sleep,” My dad said, ruffling my hair.
I swatted at his hand and laughed, “Yeah okay.”
I went to my room and got ready for bed. When I checked my phone, I saw that Peter had texted me.
Goodnight beautiful ❤️xx
I bit my lip and smiled.
Goodnight Sir Peter ❤️
part 6 is LONG and i have never written anything this angsty but i saw spiderman again today and that scene™ made me so emotional that this was the result! i hope you enjoy xx
if you’ve never read this series, you can find part 1 here, and if you missed part 5, you can find it here!
  • now that peter and michelle are dating, ned isn’t the only chair guy around
  • michelle has taken to helping both ned and peter with spidey duties
  • she even convinced may to let them use the linen closet in the living room as a “headquarters” for them, as long as they close the door when guests are around and go along with the idea that “peter accidentally sealed it shut as a kid”
  • peter doesn’t know how she did it, she and ned found old computer pieces lying around in dumpsters and somehow made in that linen closet, 3 computer monitors, 2 keyboards, 2 headsets, and more.
  • it even impressed tony stark when he came to check in on peter and may
  • and oh boy did may yell at him
  • but then tony mentioned his connections with MIT and well, peter brings brownies to tony and pepper quite often now
  • one day while May is at work, Peter and MJ are watching a history documentary.
  • MJ is lying across Peter’s lap and is so focused on the untold stories of ancient civilization when the linen closet beeps
  • and suddenly Peter’s burrito is flying and MJ jumps over the couch and opens the closet and starts typing away
  • “w-what? the burrito!” peter starts to protest but MJ waves him off.
  • “we got a hostage situation near the high school,” she pulls a chair up. she managed to hack into police coms a few weeks ago, and even Ned was impressed on that one.
  • “how many?” peter now hops over the couch and leans over behind her, resting his chin on her head.
  • “not a lot…about eight according to the police coms. i can’t tell what building it is, the map isn’t clear-” she opens her palm and peter knows to drop his phone in her hand, and suddenly ned is on the line
  • “MJ…why don’t you just call me from your phone? you have my number?-”
  • “shut it loser. we got a hostage situation near school and i need my chair partner.”
  • “be there in 10″ and ned hangs up and MJ tosses the phone up to Peter, who catches it no problem
  • “karen, run facial recognition,” peter says, and MJ looks confused.
  • “who the hell is-” she starts but is cut off when the third screen lights up with a criminal database.
  • “i hacked karen into the system when you went to get the burritos,” he mumbles into her hair. “she’s an AI tony had made.”
  • michelle nods and then peter is laughing into her hair. “what parker?” she goes to shrug him off, but peter spins her chair around to face him
  • “you were jealous,” he’s smug.
  • “was not-” she goes to turn around but peter raises his eyebrows. “i don’t get jealous.”
  • “mhmm,” peter says before kissing her quickly and MJ rolls her eyes. again, a term of endearment.
  • “suit up spidey boy,” she turns back to the screens, and ignores peter’s, “but i’m spiderman!” in the background
  • it takes ned less than 10 minutes to burst through the door with his backpack
  • “a hostage situation! we haven’t had that in a while!”
  • “wow ned, so respectful of the situation,” she says as ned pulls up a chair next to him.
  • “peter already out?” he asks, and she nods.
  • though she’ll never admit it to them, the real reason she forced ned and peter to let her help was because after the building incident, she couldn’t stand the thought of peter being out there alone. and even if he’d never let her out there with him physically, at least she was doing what she could
  • ned pulls up a map with peter’s suit tracker and puts on a headset. “obi to anakin, you copy?”
  • “why am i anakin? i’m not going down a dark path-” peter’s voice comes through the headset, and michelle breathes out a sigh of relief.
  • ned ignores him. “you’re getting close. police have the area surrounded, but i can’t get access to a camera inside the building.”
  • “it looks like a general retail store,” mj says from her headset. ned is giving more details to peter when mj yells, “i got a camera! sending it over now,” and just like that peter is able to see what ned and michelle are seeing
  • “oh shit,” ned mutters.
  • there’s at least ten masked men and just as mj predicted, eight hostages. the men look heavily armed, and definitely are not amateurs.
  • “don’t go in peter,” mj warns. “sit this one out.”
  • “are you kidding me? if i don’t do something, those guys will kill everyone!” peter yells back, and according to the tracker, he’s on the roof of the building now.
  • “you can’t take on ten guys at once by yourself!” mj raises her voice too, and ned slowly backs his chair away. if peter and mj are gonna fight over this, he should probably stay out of it
  • “whatever. ned, give me a way in.” peter snaps, but mj shoots her hand to ned’s chair before he can scoot back in.
  • “no way,” mj narrows her eyes at the screen. “ned, don’t,”
  • “i’m doing this with or without your help, MJ.” peter’s tracker moves down the side of one of the buildings.
  • “it’s too dangerous!”
  • “get me a way in, or the stay the hell out of it!” peter says, and mj yanks her headset off and walks into the bathroom.
  • it’s silent for a moment, before ned thinks it’s safe enough to speak.
  • “you can get in through the side door,” he says, and peter does.
  • the fight is going well so far. peter has 3 of the men webbed up and 2 of them ran away in fear. ned is keeping him updated on the other 5 as police rush out the hostages
  • “on your left!” ned shouts, and peter nearly gets shot as he shoots out a web grenade.
  • “taser web!” he yells at two guys coming from the back, and ned hollers.
  • “in the corner!” and peter webs him up.
  • suddenly one of the guys comes out from behind the aisle and ned yells to peter, but the guy is faster.
  • and peter is shot in the chest
  • “pull up his vitals!” mj screams, suddenly back in the chair. her eyes are bloodshot and she’s obviously been crying, but ned doesn’t have time to ask.
  • “peter?” he calls into the headset. no response. “peter!”
  • “ned, where are his vitals?” mj is scrambling to find the location of the nearest hospital.
  • “they aren’t good,” ned mutters.
  • “keep him talking,” mj starts typing in coordinates into the computer. there’s a protocol set up, the “lost baby” protocol (tony’s name, not theirs)
  • basically, if peter gets in a situation, mj can trigger an alert to the avengers facility upstate by typing in coordinates.
  • “he’s not responding!” ned yells.
  • “okay,” she takes a deep breath. “okay it’s going to be fine. tony is on his way, it’s fine-”
  • and then the alarm goes off, signaling peter’s heart has stopped.
  • happy arrives at the apartment twenty minutes later to drive the two of them to the hospital, and they pick may up from work on the way
  • luckily, he was in the area at the time
  • ned has his laptop, replaying the footage of the fight over and over again, doing his best to use karen’s facial recognition to identify these guys
  • and may is on the phone with pepper in the passenger seat, crying because thank god he’s alive but also scared because the bullet made his suit malfunction, which is why the alarm said his heart stopped
  • luckily, it never did
  • mj is leaning her head on the window, her headphones in, and all she can think about was how none of this would’ve happened if two people were watching the camera
  • tony and sam got to peter in less than 2 minutes and flew peter to a quinjet a few miles from the city where bruce was waiting with a stretcher, an iv, and everything needed to keep peter stable
  • by the time may, mj, and ned had reached the avengers facility, peter was already in surgery
  • “holy…” ned mutters, taking in the surroundings of the facility but may is walking quickly to pepper and maria hill who take the 3 of them down a long hallway.
  • the wait feels like months. may has disappeared to talk with tony and ned is off giving the footage of the fight to maria and natasha, and mj is by herself in the hallway
  • she texted her parents to say she was sleeping over at betty’s, but that’s it.
  • “michelle?” she looks up to see steve rogers standing over her.
  • “uh…yeah?” she scoots over on the bench, and steve sits.
  • “i’m Steve, peter has told us a lot about you.”
  • “oh god,” she shakes her head, laughing slightly. Her face turns serious, “how is he?”
  • steve pauses, “from what Bruce said, he’s going to be fine. the bullet didn’t hit anything major, but it was tricky to get it out. he’s sleeping right now, may and ned were heading to sit with him.”
  • mj nods, fiddling with her sweater. she’s not one to cry in public, and she’s not one to express her emotions either. even with peter, she still teases him and calls him a loser and rolls her eyes at him, but he knows she means well.
  • “he really cares about you,” steve says softly.
  • “we…we got in a fight,” she lowers her head. right before he went in the store, and I left the computers because I couldn’t take it. he was on my last nerves and I left and then he got shot because I wasn’t watching the screens and-”
  • “it’s not your fault,” steve says reassuringly. “tony showed us the footage, there was no way you or ned or peter could’ve seen that guy coming.”
  • michelle just shrugs, and steve sits with her until may comes out.
  • “he wants to see you,” she smiles, holding out her hand.
  • she looks over at steve, who gestures as if to say ‘go on’, and she reaches up and takes may’s hand.
  • peter’s room is small with bare white walls and a tv in the corner playing an episode of the clone wars. mj walks in and may tells ned to come with her to get food, and that’s when she finally lets herself look at peter.
  • the dork is smiling. actually smiling after all of this and mj wants to yell at him, but instead she settles for going on the side where peter isn’t hurt and sits on his bed and puts her head on his chest
  • “hey darling,” peter says and michelle looks up at him. “thought i’d try a nickname out, thoughts?” he smiles, and mj puts her head back on his chest
  • “i’ll take the lack of response as a yes.”
  • “this is my fault.”
  • “what?” peter says and she stands up, wiping the tears from her eyes and she starts pacing frantically. “what are you talking about?”
  • “this,” she gestures to the heart monitor. “is because of me. because i bailed because i got mad at you and i wasn’t watching the screen-”
  • “babe,” peter cuts her off. “this is because i didn’t listen to you. tony told me how fast you got those coordinates out to him, you did it in under 10 seconds.”
  • “i was stressed,” she narrows her eyes.
  • “you saved me.”
  • “it said your heart stopped.”
  • “but it didn’t”
  • “but it said-”
  • “it didn’t.”
  •  “but-”
  • “please don’t blame yourself. i know you’re doing it because you’re scared, but i promise you i’m okay. i made you that promise didn’t i?”
  • “that stupid promise,” she mutters, taking peter’s hand and letting him pull her back to lay on his chest, away from the bullet of course
  • “i was so…scared,” she whispers.
  • “me too,” he whispers back.
  • and that’s how ned and may find them, michelle asleep on his chest, and peter’s good arm wrapped around her, his face nuzzled in her hair.
