ツキノウタ (Lyrics/Translations)

Finally finished translating Tsuki no Uta!!!!!!! It has been so long since I last translated a song and I hope I didn’t make any errors after so long…. Also I’m glad people still remembers me here. It’s great motivation.^ w ^

I’m not sure when I could translate another song but I hope its soon. I’m thinking maybe translating Yoru’s anime ending song Kaze no Record!! That song freaking killed me I love it!!!

I don’t mind you using it, but please do credit. :D

Just finished Episode 25.

It was…exactly how I pictured it to end. Every bit of it. It was the best choice to have Akko and Diana stop the missile together. Two “rivals” becoming their closest allies at the end.

I teared up when they were all patting each other on the backs after they did their parts in boosting the Ultra Rocket Broom up, especially at Lotte and Sucy’s part.

And when the song came up at the final act. Oh my god…

Thank you, Trigger and Yoh Yoshinari, for such a wonderful series. Yes, it has its flaws, but it has its amazing, wonderful parts, too, that I will always love. Little Witch Academia will always be special to me. It was when the OVA came out, but right now, more than ever, it will always have its own spot in my heart.

Be sure to support the English dub when it comes out on Netflix! And buy the DVDs, Blu-rays, and merchandise if you can!

I’m as guilty as anyone of forgetting that characters need friends (in my case usually because I substitute them with a family member), but I’d love to see more references to emotional connections to friends.

Instead of having a character run into an ex, have them run into a friend they drifted away from and haven’t seen in years.

Have them follow a former friend on Facebook and think about reaching about, but not being sure of their welcome.

Show characters who can’t listen to a song without thinking of a friend they used to listen to it with all the time.

Show the pain of having an unhealthy or abusive friendship.

Have a character who would rather spend time with their best friend than their significant other—not because they are in love with their friend or because they aren’t in love with their significant other, but because their best friend knows them better.

Have friends who have known each other since before they can remember.

Have friends where, when for one their parents die, they are adopted by the other friends’ parents.

Have friends who enable each other’s bad habits.

Have friends who encourage each other’s good habits.

Have friends where one moved away but they still talk every day.

Have friends who have never met in person but still talk every day.

Have friends who only talk once a week or once a month but still consider each other best friends.

Have friends who can communicate with a look or a gesture.

Have friends who learn another language to be able to communicate with each other.

Have friends who help each other through hard times or life changes.

Have friends who can argue and debate for hours but back down instead of getting angry.

Have friends who get angry at each other but will always defend each other and help each other.

Have friends who are respectful of each other’s different religious or cultural beliefs.

Have friends who love each other.

Lauren welcome to your tape!

So lets get a little delusional?!?!

Camila gave an interview where she said that “i have questions” was written one year and a half ago, she said that at first it was gonna be just an interlude but decided later that she wanted the song to tell more or something along those lines. Then she went back to finish the song when she “coincidentally ran into the person that inspired the song”.

Now in a most recent interview camila stated that she finished the song in January/February. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kE4l6zPD5Z4

So its clear that it was around that time when she ran into the inspiration for the song aka her muse aka you know who!
But it doesn’t end there. who else was at studios recording new music? around january/february?

and who else was with steve in February?

This is just one of many coincidences, lets also not forget that lauren was also recording with halsey who has “links” to camila as well. And 5h was also recording in the studio at around the same time and they are in the same label so?!?

I truly believe this song in particular is about lauren, im sure there will be other songs in her album about 5h and her departure etc but i dont think its “i have questions”. i dont get friendship vibes from the song lol especially with the whispers at the end. Thats it! Bye!

Harry on Dermot O’Leary

Quick recap of Harry on BBCR2′s Saturday Breakfast with Dermot O’Leary (starts at 1:34) for @jlf23tumble and anyone else who missed it!

I’m only writing down stuff we didn’t hear in any other interviews so far so this won’t be too long:

  • Harry’s a morning person, usually gets up before 8am
  • He talked again about how putting the single out is like giving birth, I love it
  • They weren’t sure at first if they wanted to put SOTT out first or keep it for later
  • One song on the album he wrote about 3 years ago
  • Talks about writing the song, playing the piano himself, writing with the guys from his new band and how he felt comfortable with them, learning from them and being inspired by them as a musician
  • DERMOT MENTIONED JAY I’M CRYING not her death or anything and Harry didn’t say anything about her, Dermot just mentioned she once said “my son went off to X Factor and never came back home” and they talked about Harry taking some time off at the start of the hiatus. But I’m still crying tho
  • He misses performing and touring and he looks forward to doing it again at some point
  • Dermot asked him which Paul McCartney song to play and Harry chose Maybe I’m Amazed because he’s a GIANT SAP
  • The album will be out soon-ish, he didn’t want to wait too long
  • Doing Dunkirk was one of the best experiences of his life, he loved being the new guy, being out of his comfort zone and not having any idea what he was doing

And because I know you care:

  • No mention of girls or exes or dating
  • No mention of any babies other than the song
A Handful of Questions to Ask Yourself While Creating a Character

Compelling characters make compelling stories. Here’s a bunch of questions you can ask yourself while developing a character.

1) What does your character want from life? What is their motivation? What drives them? Most people want things - it could be as small as wanting a sandwich, or something huge like wanting to change the world. Does your character want something? Does your character dream? What about? And if they don’t, why don’t they?

2) Is your character shy? Outgoing? Insecure? Proud? Why are they the way they are? My favourite example of this question answered well is Ron Weasley from Harry Potter. He’s insecure because he doesn’t come from a wealthy family, has a bunch of older brothers who are all amazing in some form or way, his mother always wanted a daughter, Ginny, and so he doesn’t feel as wanted. Also, one of his best friends is the Chosen One, and the other is the brightest witch of her age - a cocktail that would make anyone doubt themselves.

3) What kind of clothes does your character wear? Why? The way you dress says a lot about who you are. For instance, If a character wears designer clothes and the latest fashions, it shows that they have the means to keep up with the trends. However if they wear a medley of things bought second-hand, or buy cheap stuff from supermarkets, they might not have the money to spare on outfits, or maybe they just don’t care about fashion.

4) How does your character speak?  Speech patterns have origins. An accent, language, a dialect, all signify geography, social class, personality. It could be as simple as cussing too much. But be sure you know why your character speaks the way they do. And if it’s not a speech pattern you’re familiar with, do your research!

5) Likes and dislikes I sometimes give characters specific likes (”I like tomatoes”) or specific dislikes (”I dislike eggs”), simply because it humanises them. You don’t have to do this, or be as specific as that, if it doesn’t serve your story. But it’s definitely something you can consider. Everyone has those little things they love and hate, and you can go places with them. (”I hate eggs because my childhood bully threw an egg at me and scarred me for life.”) Be creative and have fun with it.

6) Who does your character love? Romantic attraction isn’t necessary to create a wholesome character. Nevertheless, if they are in love with someone, be sure to understand why they love someone. Love is at its best, a complicated emotion difficult to break down, but a relationship has to be believable. As a reader, I need to be able to look at a couple and think, yeah, I can see what their love is built on.

7) What would their favourite songs be? This is not so much a question as it is a trick I use to get a better feel for who my character is. No matter what time period your story is set in, you can use this to understand your character better. Take your playlist and pick what songs they would enjoy. It says a lot about who they are. For instance, one of my characters would enjoy Western classical music and nothing else. Another character listens to the worst kind of pop and loves it.

8) How does your character react under stress? Can they cope with it? Do they get tense? Angry? Teary? Why? Why not? How a person deals with stress is a vital part of their personality. Decisions taken under stress can be the worst you’ve ever made, or (depending on how you handle stress), can be effective solutions to problems. The way a person reacts to stress often has a lot to do with their background and upbringing. Example (this is a generalisation, of course): someone who comes from a difficult family background may have more extreme reactions to stress than someone who is well-adjusted and comes from a happy family.

9) What does your character do when they’re alone? You’re often a different person alone than when you are with other people. The pretences and false faces come away, and all the little thoughts you usually ignore now have time to play in the open. Who is your character when they’re alone? What do they do? What do they think about? Why do they think about/do things in that way?

10) Where does your character fail? Characters must have flaws to be compelling. Nobody is perfect, and your character shouldn’t be either. Whether its insecurity or anger, or a lack of initiative, or smaller things like not being a good artist, or not being the best at sports–we all have personal failings and we all have things we aren’t good at. Consider: where does your character mess up?

I hope this helps! Remember to have fun. Developing characters can be the most exciting thing. Keep an open mind while working. Happy writing!

It takes Cas weeks to make the mixtape.

He has to wait until Dean and Sam are sleeping, and he spends that first night just figuring out how Dean’s old boom box works.

And of course, all the music he has to choose from in the bunker already belongs to Dean, which he didn’t think about beforehand, so he has to spend another several nights making a list of all the music Dean already owns, then researching to find music to add to Dean’s collection.

And then it takes another few nights to settle on exactly the right songs, every single one chosen for a reason, a reason he hopes Dean will understand.

Buying the music and actually recording each song onto a blank tape is the easiest part of his endeavor, though it’s just as time consuming as the rest. It’s another week of stolen nights, hiding in a corner of the bunker he hopes they never use, pushing buttons over and over until he has a tape full of songs he hopes Dean will love.

“Here” he finally says, thrusting the tape at Dean the first second they’re alone.

He’s a little nervous, but he can’t stop the proud smile on his face. Surely Dean will love this as much as Cas loves the tape Dean made for him.

“What is this?” Dean’s staring down at the tape like he’s confused, even though it’s clearly labeled, and Cas’ nerves kick into high gear. Did he do something wrong?

“It’s-it’s a mixtape. Like the one you made me. I picked all the songs myself.”

Dean looks up to meet Cas’ eyes. “Did you use my tapes?”

Cas shakes his head. “No, I bought new music you didn’t already own.”

It takes a moment, and Cas isn’t sure what Dean’s facial expression means, but then he’s being pulled into Dean’s arms. He lands against Dean’s chest with a thud, has to pull his own arms out of Dean’s tight hold to hug him back.

“Thanks, Cas,” Dean murmurs, so close to Cas’ ear that his breath tickles.

“You’re welcome, Dean.”

Dean leads Cas to his bedroom, where they can listen to the songs Cas has chosen.

Where they can listen and laugh and be alone together.

Let’s talk for a bit, because I’ve known about this for a while and I think now’s a good time to explain how I feel about using music not originally written for OC’s. This might be a lengthy read, because it’s personal. This vid was one of the first to use Tokyovania as Ink Sans’ theme.

I absolutely love when music can be associated with a character. I think it’s magical when a track makes you think of something you love or enjoy, and I love seeing messages or comments that I track I wrote would fit someone’s OC, because it feels special. Originally, this video was meant to be a tribute, with my track as the proposed theme, and I didn’t worry about it. After all, I didn’t write Tokyovania for Ink Sans, I wrote it for personal reasons, and I was sure most would understand that.

After a few months, it started to catch on for some reason that this indeed was written for him. A few other tribute vids were posted, and my name was nowhere to been seen as the artist of the track. On some videos, the name was also changed to Inklovania. The “Tokyo” was just erased, on a song containing the melody of “Tokyo Teddy Bear”, an incredibly special track I adored in 2014-2015.

Back then I was in high school. It was me against the world, and I had two friends. Things became rough around September in 2015, and I’ll keep the events hidden because they’re not something I need a reminder of. By December I was alone, and I had nowhere to turn but to music. I walled myself off and focused on composing, and being quietly alone all the time eventually led to the idea of Undertronic.

It was around this time that I decided to compose a remix of Tokyo Teddy Bear, as it’s a song I associate with wishing I could be anywhere else when things aren’t great. Seeing as I was also remixing Undertale at the time, I thought I’d combine it with another track, as a particular character was also in the same situation as I was, in terms of emotion.

In short, it was a special little remix to me and it would stay that way until Ink Sans became involved. Like I mentioned, I love when others use my music for OC’s, but I started to realize there was something wrong when I was accused of stealing this theme from Ink Sans, that it solely belonged to him, that I didn’t write it and I was a terrible person.

And the list goes on and was almost constant. To many, I’ve been disregarded as the artist of the track because “It doesn’t matter who wrote it,” and nothing hurts more to a musical artist than having a personal song be taken, even accidentally, from you and it suddenly becomes something else. The meaning behind the song no longer matters, and no matter what I do, this song will always be known as his theme.

It feels like a inconceivable back-stab knowing that literally millions believe this is his theme. I don’t even want to know how many would believe I stole the track from an OC, as if an actual artist doesn’t exist and the track magically created itself. Months went by, then a year went by, and I was very bitter about this track and the accusations I kept receiving. Finally I decided to write a response, and this response was “Tokyovania Control.”

I wrote in the description that I didn’t like the old Tokyovania. This is only partially true. I loved it for what it represented to me, I hated it for how I was being treated because of it.

If you may have noticed, I included new lyrics for Tokyovania Control. It was a slightly hidden, but direct message to how I felt, and it started at 0:53. Breakdown of the meaning is in the brackets.

How’d I get this feeling?  [How’d it come to this?]
I am running from this beauty,  [I am running from Tokyovania.]
Misunderstood or  [It’s been misunderstood what the track is about.]
Whom it’s made for?  [Who was the track made for? Even I’m not sure now.]
There’s no purpose,  [The song has lost its original meaning.]
Words are worthless.  [Explaining/arguing won’t do anything.]
Well, it’s still charming.  [I still adore the track though. It was special to me.]
I’d say “Sorry.”  [Sorry, it was my mistake to let harsh words harm me.]
“My mistake to let it harm me.”
“Pardon my writing.”  [Pardon my music, I’m sorry I got in your way, I should be thankful that this track is loved right? Indeed I am selfish for believing my name should be next to Tokyovania.]
Though it hurts, it still sounds special taken from me,
“Heh, oh well.”  [Though it hurts, Tokyovania still sounds special taken from me. There’s nothing I can do now, so oh well.]

It was hidden well, and I didn’t expect anyone to catch on. And I was right, no one figured out why these lyrics were added or what they meant.

So no, I still don’t mind when a track I write is used for an OC’s theme. I only mind when I become non-existent as the producer, because “Who cares who wrote it, just enjoy the music.” I also mind when I am repeatedly told my work doesn’t belong to me, and I’m a horrible person for stealing a theme that belongs to an OC.

It’s one of the reasons I tend to include signature melodies in my music now. I don’t want to be forgotten or disassociated with my work. I don’t want to be told I don’t deserve to be the artist. Is it annoying? To some it is, but it’s a hell of a lot better than going through another Tokyovania situation. Having a track recognized by millions as an OC’s theme scares me much more than having someone simply steal the track, and nothing is worse to a musician than being repeatedly told my work doesn’t belong to me anymore, it belongs to an OC, and I’m scum for thinking otherwise.

I suppose what I’m trying to say, is be careful when you decide to pick songs to represent OC’s or AU’s. You may think no harm will be done, but it’s impossible to tell if something will take off. I don’t think this has ever been discussed before. I haven’t seen any musicians write about this, or share their thoughts. But I am friends with many of the Undertale remixers, and it’s sad to see that this has also been happening to one of my best friends Kamex with his “Your Best Friend” remix:

His music is gorgeous. He’s so kind & doesn’t deserve to be treated this way. If the remix is titled “Undertale Remix”, that does not mean it is an AU Remix. It is a remix for Undertale. But because this theme was used in an AU theme compilation video, the track apparently belongs to Underfresh. Again, no artist apparently exists and track magically created itself. Even worse, he feels he needs to prove it, so far as to say he has the project files if he needs to show it. To some, he’s not even respected as the producer. If you understand how I feel with Tokyovania, you can imagine how he feels as well.

Even Inktale’s creator recognizes Tokyovania as a theme for Ink, though it’s probably accidental.

Which makes me feel even more guilty, because I hate bringing people down. And knowing this wasn’t written for the AU will probably be a disappointing let-down.

So that’s about it, I thought I might as well share my thoughts, now that it’s almost been a year since this has been going on.

On another note, I’ve been working on something for Dusttale and Outertale. The Dusttale track will probably be the next vid, I dunno.

Self Care

It’s Mental Health Month. May 1st. The beginning of it. I just want to post some tips on what I find useful when I feel anxious, depressed or lonely. Some tips on how to care for yourself mixed in here too. I know what it’s like to feel like nothing is going to work out and you feel like there is no point anymore. I still get sad from time to time but here is what I try to do to lower those horrible feelings.

  1. Music
When I feel down I put on my chill playlist and listen to the songs. Not just recognize that the song is playing. I listen to every word, every beat, every instrument that makes a sound. I listen so hard that I forget everything else around me and forget everything that is going on in my head for a while. This actually really helps and especially if it’s a slow song, something that matches my mood.
  2. Reading
Reading is one of my favourite things to do. I’m in love with words. And getting deep into one of my favourite books helps me forget for a while. Grab something to drink and maybe a snack, find a quiet and comfy place to relax and let yourself fall into a book.
  3. Eat
When I feel depressed my appetite can go away pretty quickly. But if you don’t eat, you’ll feel even more tired and low. And that’s not good. So eat. Not junk food. Maybe a treat every now and again but make sure to eat healthy too. Fruit or vegetables. Maybe make some type of sandwhich or maybe eat a bowl of porridge. Whatever you want to make. But remember, not always junk food. And drink lot’s and lot’s of water.
  4. Shower or bath
If you feel all ugh, and ew take a long warm shower or a bath full of bubbles. Taking a shower or bath might help you feel more relaxed and feel more taken care of. And keeping yourself fresh and clean will help help boost your system.
  5. Fresh air
When I’m down, I get lazy. So the whole ‘take a long walk’ thing doesn’t go with me. What I like to do instead is open a window and stand there or take a chair and sit near there. I’m getting fresh air into my lungs which is good and I don’t need to get up and go outside to do it. Now getting exercise is a good thing to do too because it’ll boost your system also. But when you really can’t get up and walk far, just go to a window and read or listen to music.
  6. Cry
Yes crying is on this list. When you really need to let those tears out, just do it. If you’re in a place you feel comfortable enough to do it. Let it all out, for however long you need to. Crying doesn’t make you weak or a loser or whatever you think it makes you. It helps you. Instead of holding all those feelings in, you can let them out by crying. So just do it because a cry every now and again, will make you feel a little better. Hopefully.
  7. Decorate and change it up
This may be an odd one but it helps me. When I’m sad I’ll look up some quotes that I really like, write them on some paper and decorate the paper and stick it on my wall. Or sometimes I sift things around. If I think something in my room would look better in a different position then I’ll move it. I’ll maybe take some things down and hang something new up instead. Tidy my room too if it needs it. This helps because I’m focusing on other things. Where will this go? Does this look good on this wall? Things like that. Try it and see.
  8.  Breathe
When I feel like I can’t breathe, I remember that I just need to take a minute. Look at my surroundings. What’s the colour of the walls? Breathe. What’s in the room? Breathe. What’s the weather like outside? Breathe. What’s my favourite food? Breathe. Do I have any plans this week? Breathe. Ask yourself some questions. Answer them and breathe. Breathe, breathe and breathe. Don’t let you make yourself small. Think bigger than what that stupid annoying voice in your head is telling you. Breathe. Because you’re worth it.

I hope these tips helped. I really do. And please, please REMEMBER… you are beautiful. You are so amazing and this world needs you in it. Maybe you feel like no one cares. But I guarantee you there is somebody out there who thinks the world of you. You are somebody’s moon. You’re that person who lights up the darkness for them. Don’t let your light go out. Stay strong and remember to love yourself and take care of yourself. You guys are more than welcome to ask me something if you need any advice or have any questions. The door is open and you are welcome.

You know how some people weren’t sure if Jungkook knows the meaning behind the songs? Now he told us himself… so he knows meaning of the songs he covered, songs he shared in his playlist, even song he “recommended” after Jimin posted the short video of his face. He translates them himself.
So like… this is my trashy self talking but officially, I think he knew exactly what he was doing when he shared LANY - ILYSB including, among other completely in love stuff, “I’m hella obsessed with your face.“

Sorry, random, I needed to get it off my chest tho.^^

Hello, Tink! I heard rumours that it claimed that on Mark's instagram he said that Misha was going to play a character called, "The Wanderer". I don't have an Instagram so I can't check, but I was wondering if this was true? It probably wasn't, but just in case...

Dude, yeah, ok, I have feelings about this.

It’s just an IMDB credit, which anyone can do, so it is no way official. However, it fits completely with our theories about AU Cas and how it would be another addition to the millions of expositions of Destiel and also Cas’s humanity arc.

Of COURSE Cas would be called “The Wanderer” in that AU. Just because Sam and Dean aren’t born doesn’t mean he isn’t still a rebel, still the Angel with a chink in his chassis, never quite right, always having to be reprogrammed…

So yeah “The Wanderer” is exactly what I would expect to see in this world where he would have given up on the Angels, rebelled and be wandering the world trying to help where he can but also living in disillusionment…

And what a parallel with another extremely famous wanderer …

Strider/Wanderer… this is immediately what sprung to my mind. Not just the name, but the concept, the character, the behaviour, the life story and the love story.

We already had a very clear link to the Aragorn/Arwen story with the mixtape, the “it’s a gift, you keep those” and of course many of us have always paralleled their story with Dean and Cas, given the whole immortal / mortal love story and many of their characteristics.

I’m going to bastardise some of the wonderful @margarittet‘s post here for reference:

“ … you keep those”

Generally, due to the immortal/mortal parallel Dean is Aragorn and Arwen is Cas, but here obviously the link is reversed for narrative purposes, but the link is still nonetheless there.

So yeah, the wanderer, another link to this story, which in itself is a standard romantic trope too, the immortal who falls in love with a mortal and chooses to live a mortal life with them, while the mortal begs them not to do it just for them because they don’t deserve it, but the immortal not only loves the human, but humanity too, so it fits their story in more than just the love aspect…

*Tink looks directly into the camera*

Oh, also, “strider” is a Led Zeppelin song

“Well, if the sun shines so bright… Ah can your love be so strong, when so many loves go wrong, will our love go on and on and on and on and on and on… Ain’t no companion like a blue eyed merle… So, of one thing I am sure, it’s a friendship so pure, Angels singing all around my door so fine.”

I’m FINE.
