not having any

why is it that this fandom ALWAYS finds something to demonize shiro for?? as if hes gotta be Perfect or hes toxic and a bad leader like??? if its not one thing its another i s2g and now of ALL things i keep seeing angry rants about how shiro treats lance like shit and hes toxic for him or some bullshit like?? that makes me so??? upset and kinda mad tbh??

are we forgetting that it was lance who shiro first extended his hand to?? that shiro told lance in episode one that they should all trust each other and make decisions together?? that lance is always ready with a counterpoint to any strategy shiro makes, but shiro NEVER yells or tells him to shut up or says he’s being stupid, simply counters his arguements with valid points?? that it was shiro that trusted lance to analyze the battleship layouts and double check strategies/ideas when they were going in to rescue allura in s1? that it was shiro who trusted lance to be with him on that mission in beta traz, didnt even try to interrupt him as he took that risky shot to save slav, cause he knew he could do it??

do they have a lot of moments together like keith and shiro or keith and lance do?? no, cause keith and shiro have history, and keith and lance have that constant rivalry to keep them running into each other. shiro and lance havent really found a mutual connection. YET. the crew has been making it a pretty obvious point to develop them individually before getting them to really interact with eachother on deeper levels. they have a plan and frankly peoples lack of trust in the creators and in SHIRO is very disappointing.

shiro isnt perfect, none of them are. he’s only human. but not putting lance on the pedestal that the fandom puts him on and then blaming shiro for lances own insecurities that shiro has had NO WAY or opportunity to really know about or pick up on is ridiculous.

shiro may have a bit of bias for keith, sure, but this fandom is WAY too biased for lance. he’s my favorite too, trust me, i get where some of your disappointment and worry is coming from. but letting it blind you and really get to you when we’re barely on season 2 is too much yall. its not healthy. and its disrespectful too. chill. take a deep breath. have patience. trust the creators, and please trust shiro and stop demonizing him for things out of his control smh.

Okay so one last theory from me on the spoilers and then I am going to write the next chapter of Forgetting because people are waiting *cough* @sapphicsugden *cough* and she might hurt me if I take any longer.

I’m just putting my thoughts out there because if any of this does actually work out how I want/hope/think it is I want there to be a record that I was right about a SL for once, because I am usually very, very wrong.

The pregnancy - Moira and Cain is my bet. Now for me this would make sense of the who spots a test and thinks they’re going to be a daddy spoiler. Because it’s plausible that Adam would see the test, knowing that they’re trying for a baby and assume that it’s Vic’s. I’m going for Cain as the dad because we had all that stuff a little while back about him trying to reconcile being a dad to Kyle with the way that Shadrack was with him as a child. He had all that doubt about being a good dad to Kyle, but came around in the end so he knows now that he can be a dad. This would also fit in with the big SL that Moira and Cain have coming up.

The Mind blowing news - So this is going to be for both Robert and Aaron. Mind blowing for me means something good, so good news not bad. It can’t be the reveal of the incident because, well that’s hardly going to be mind blowing for Robert. I think that the news is going to be Adam coming and telling Aaron that he’s going to be a dad and of course Aaron will tell Robert. Let’s face it, this is soap and Adam won’t wait to confirm with Vic before turning to his bet mate in his excitement. So Robert and Aaron are both ridiculously excited because they think they’re going to be uncles, and then Vic has to dash their hopes when it turns out it’s not her who’s pregnant but Moira.

Ross and the blackmail - Again from the spoiler I’m taking that it’s both of them he’s trying to blackmail but I’m going with him seeing them making up for lost time (having sex) somewhere they shouldn’t. It’s going to be a stupid, meaningless comedy side plot and it’s not going to be real blackmail as such. It will be forgotten as soon as it’s mentioned.

Belle/Adam and children

alternative title: I Can’t Believe My First Proper Contribution To A Fandom After So Many Years Is Fucking Disney Headcanons

also, this got really out of hand. still.. enjoy?

- Belle doesn’t want to have children for another ten years, and that makes everyone, literally everyone in the village Upset™ (bc nothing, even a thought goes unnoticed in a village, apparently) [okay, her father isn’t upset, but he doesn’t really get it either]

-  Adam does want to have children, but he understands Belle and respects her wish – he thinks she’ll make a marvellous mother (he’s seen her plenty around children) once she’s ready

- and besides, he’s not sure he’ll ever be able to give his children all the love he wants to give them; he’s not afraid of turning into his father anymore, now that he has Belle, but he’s terrified of not being enough

- Belle figures that out after a while, and even though it breaks her heart, it also makes her even more determined to show him just how happy he makes her, their friends, their people

- (on that note, Adam definitely has a praise kink)

- (but he enjoys praising Belle - and watching her reaction - as well? basically their communication during sex is A+, 10/10, would recommend)

-  but anyway, as effective contraception was basically non-existent as a term back then, and despite their being bright and well-read and everything (Belle a genius, even), there isn’t a solution they could come up with that would really work

-  (besides not having sex at all, obviously, but knowing themselves that’s so impossible/ridiculous a thought they don’t even say it out loud, just dismiss it for good)

- so Belle ends up visiting the Enchantress, despite their shared mistrust

-  ..and they have this amazingly thorough and comforting talk; by the end of it Belle is visibly more open and more forgiving

-  the Enchantress gives Belle the herbal+magical equivalent of a birth control pill basically, and they part on relatively good terms

-  but now Belle just wants to have sex all the time, which is really adorable/very hard to resist if you ask Adam

-  of course he knows she’s done something, and as Belle won’t tell him what’s this sudden, miraculous ’solution’, he can’t help but worry

-  she gets so annoyed she just kind of blurts it out one morning, and immediately regrets it

-  Adam goes from mildly worried to full-on panicking in about two minutes; he isn’t loud or dramatic for once – he becomes uncharacteristically quiet, and he looks so, so lost and afraid

-  Belle tries to convince him that it’s fine, everything is fine and the Enchantress wouldn’t have a ’reason’ to curse him/them this time – but it sounds really half-hearted the more desperate and guilty she becomes (he’s looking at her with big blue eyes, and when she moves to draw him into her arms, he’s shaking, holding onto her as if someone was to take her away if he let her go)

- that night, he kisses her, stroking her back as if she was the porcelain doll she very much isn’t, and refuses to do anything else – he doesn’t sleep a wink, either

- the next day there are as many as six physicians in the castle, and Belle huffs and grits her teeth in annoyance, but lets them examine her, looking for any physical sign of a curse

- they don’t find anything, and Belle nearly cries at Adam’s joyous, relieved expression when she tells him

- weeks pass, and although they are still just as affectionate as before, there’s this hesitation, unsureness between them that Belle hates more than anything – she can see Adam doesn’t like it, either

- she decides she’s had enough after a month of this, takes a deep breath, and tells Adam she’s ready to have children after all, they needn’t be that careful

- Adam knows it’s not entirely untrue, but also sees that stubbornly set jaw, that brave, upturned face, and decides to visit the Enchantress himself

- he comes back only slightly less terrified, but he kisses her palm and folds her fingers around the small vial, and Belle feels his trust heavy and sweet in that palm as he leans down to kiss her properly

- things grow.. easier in the next few years, between them and the Enchantress

- however, it’s not until the birth of their first child, healthy and perfect, that the last traces of worry fade from Adam’s eyes

- he still insists on co-sleeping with the baby (at least until Belle has recovered), and Belle, utterly in love with the child and now feeling confident enough to be a parent her mother would be proud of, agrees

Ok i have so many feels about 3x18 and I’m kinda overwhelmed rn but I have to vent so here it is…

“I’m putting my life in your hands. I trust you, Julian.” Guys, these are not some insignificant, inconsequential words thrown out there. This is quite heavy. When someone tells you they’re putting their life in your hands, you feel responsible for their wellbeing in a way cisco and barry standing to the side and biting their lips in worry won’t ever do.

It doesn’t matter that they knew Caitlin far longer than julian did, and it’s not even that Julian is obviously in love with Caitlin which, going by how barry has been taking every damn decision in his life with regard to Iris, will make him behave less rationally and more emotionally. It is simply the fact that Julian feels responsible for Cait’s life, and if anything happens to her, it is Julian who will end up having the worst case of self-loathing and an unredeemable sense of failure. It is easy for Cisco to make a half-assed attempt to stop Julian from removing the necklace cuz he’s not feeling directly responsible for Caitlin’s life, but Julian doesn’t have that luxury. All he’s thinking at that moment is, ‘she trusted me with her life. She trusted me to save her. I can’t just let her die. I have to do something!’

“If you hit them, there’s a good chance I go into shock.” “Shock?” when he says that word, it is obvious that he is practically going into shock himself. Caitlin is putting him under a lot of stress and pressure by letting him know any slight wrong move would end up killing her, thus, in a way making everyone forget that it was actually Kadabra, and by extension Joe, who led to her predicament in the first place and if she dies it’s on them, not on Julian. A lot of pressure not just for someone who’s not operated on anyone in his entire life, but also someone who has deep feelings for her and her wellbeing matters to him more than anybody else’ in his life at the time.

“You are immensely brave.” Julian says to Cait, but I think if anyone had been ‘immensely brave’ during this whole episode, it was Julian who realized that he might be the only one ‘brave’ enough to operate on Cait even tho he had no idea what he was doing. Caitlin was trying to save her own life, she can be brave while doing that but it’s not like being brave while trying to save someone else’ life. That’s what I call ‘immense bravery’ worthy of praise.

Julian took off the necklace while I think it should’ve been Cisco to take on that responsibility. Don’t tell me Cisco would’ve let Cait die because that’s what a ‘true’ friend would’ve done. I mean, if Iris were to tell Barry to cease all his efforts to save her and let the future happen, would you expect Barry to respect her wish? And let’s not forget that the show has essentially given Barry the easy way out by NOT making Iris put him in that situation, so that any mistake he makes is forgivable because Iris is the one asking him to do anything he can to save her.

I’m not sure how some of you guys can come to the conclusion that Julian has been the selfish one. I mean, from my perspective he was probably the most selfless one in everything that he’s ever done. Caitlin was selfish for dumping all this responsibility on him to save her life, Cisco was selfish for not taking any part in that responsibility, Joe was selfish for releasing Kadabra to save his own daughter, Cynthia was selfish for making Kadabra’s arrest a personal revenge and not thinking of a way to cooperate with team flash, Iris was selfish for telling Barry they couldn’t let Kadabra go until they learned who Savitar was, and Barry was selfish for making Iris’ life the only life that is worth protecting. And let’s not forget, when everyone was angsting over who savitar is and how iris was possibly going to die in 2 months, Julian was the only one sitting by Cait’s bed, making sure she was going to pull through this. I actually wish Julian was selfish, maybe then he’d start taking better care of himself when no one else (not even the audience) cares much about what he’s going through.

‘wow thank god there’s no romantic content’ is not actually that revolutionary when the option to include wlw romance is there.

like, the concept of no romance can do a lot of good when we’re talking about straight cis white women, who have a long and varied history of being cast as things to be won, props for men, and damsels in distress.

but goddamn there are a lot of women out there who crave seeing images of themselves as being deserving of love and seeing their lives reflected in happy (but no less complex) relationships. or at least some acknowledgement that those are a thing that exist in our lives.

i’m glad to see more wlw women having stories at all, absolutely. but i don’t celebrate the concept of platonic gays, because it’s really just an easy way out for a hollywood that likes to pat itself on the back for throwing scraps to the starving.
