I just spent 2 hours watching Sherlock is Garbage and Here’s Why and it was the best 2 hours of my life. God, I am SO glad I opted out of this show in S3. I’m so glad I didn’t watch S4. I’m so glad I was never part of the fandom. (I’m also so glad I opted out of DW in the middle of 11′s run). Wow. Seriously, wow. Well done, sir. Well done.
Also, as an aside, this should be required watching for anyone writing in the genre. This isn’t just a everything that’s wrong with Moffat’s writing. It’s everything you shouldn’t do if you’re writing mystery and I couldn’t applaud it more.
And you don’t really know how to comfort someone when they doubt Allah’s power and ability to change their circumstances. How do you show the mercy of Allah to the one who’s constantly turning blind eye on His mercy in the first place? How do you tell them Allah is the most Merciful when all they do is question everything?
I have realised that when all avenue close, it’s not that there’s no way for you to find the light but rather it could mean it is not the time to find the light just yet. If you have doing everything in your power to change your circumstances but it brings you no way out, it doesn’t mean your circumstances will never change rather it means it is not the time for your circumstances to be changed. There is a time for everything & Allah has written everything in a clear book with appointed time.
Like a baby grows inside a womb for 9 months, you cannot give birth before a certain term has come to an end, it is important for the foetus to grow in the womb thus it completes its 9 months to be a healthy baby. Each day, week and months are forming a part of the baby. Each moment it develops although we may not see it with our own eyes but it’s how Allah’s wisdom works. There’s a term for the eyes to be formed, for the ear to be developed, for the heart to start beating. If we were to try to take the baby out from the womb at early stage when it’s not complete yet what would happen? You will only be disappointed.
You have to be patient for the baby to fully grow and come to an appointed term for it to be in your arms. Just like that, you have to be patient with your hardships, wishes and dreams to come to an appointed time because while you despair, Allah is making changes to your circumstances each and every moment without you realising. If it is not the time, no matter what you do and how hard you try, you cannot achieve it until Allah allows you to.
Allah inspired your little heart to ask for something because He wants to give it you but it is necessary for you to understand that by the nature of this dunya, things take time & you have to be patient enough to bear that. Allah knows what you want but only He knows when it’s good for you. But know one day Allah will show why it wasn’t good for you to have it at the time you asked and you will only thank Allah for that.
Before Allah even gives you a problem, Allah plans in your favour. He is already given the solutions at your doorstep. He never leaves you alone to yourself to deal with it. And this is faith, for Allah to see will you be patient until the appointed time for your hardship comes and you still believe in Him? Or will you give up and despair in His mercy and doubt Him.
Like you go to school at 8am, you can’t get ready and go there at 8pm and wonder why the school is closed. If it’s holidays and closed, you can’t sit there for hours and wait for it open 2 weeks later just to attend your favourite class with your best friends. You have to enjoy your holidays before school starts again. Just like that, you can’t sit there and wait for the hardship to end, you have to live your life and move on each day.
When the school opens, you can go to your favourite class, you can talk to your best friends all day, but only when the school opens then you can go to your class. When the times comes, everything will fall into places. Your hardship will come to an end when you have achieved the purpose Allah wanted you to achieve.
Allah only gives you tests to make you a stronger believer so that He may reward you for your patience. Whoever is patient, has a reward with Allah without any limit and account. Remember, everything happens at the right time no matter how much you want it right now. There is a time for everything. When your times comes, Allah will shower you with His blessings, love and favours. He won’t ever abandon you, He created you, He is the Most Loving and the Most Merciful.
@animatedamerican I was thinking specifically about the scene with Xander at the end of season 6, but honestly I’m not totally sure how this post stands up because it’s possible she was motivated by guilt and relationship more than good and bad? Though I still think those were huge influences
You are worthy even if you cannot work or hold a job
You are worthy even if you cannot support yourself.
You are worthy even if you cost your loved ones a lot of money because of your medical care
you are worthy even if you are homeless
How you are treated speaks to the people in power and their priorities, not your inherent worth as a human being. You are beautiful, special, and important & your life matters. I know you didn’t ask to be sick or disabled, and anything that happened bc of that is not your fault. I love you <3
