9 iPhone Storage Hacks To Make Room For Apple's iOS 9 Update

It’s that time again! Apple got a big iOS update coming your way and with it comes the usual pre-install scramble to make way for it. Here are 9 tips and tricks to get you ready:

1. Rarely used apps. If you don’t use them, lose them.

2. Clear out old convos in WhatsApp, Tinder, OKCupid and other apps.

3. If you’re using HDR to get the best shots, that means you’re saving two photos each time. Delete the non-HDR images.

4. Don’t forget to delete your photos again from the recently deleted album.

5. Don’t carry your entire music collection. Keep your most-played music handy, and let the cloud carry the rest of the load.

6. Unless you’re archiving your texts for a future book of what-passes-for-letters-these-days, get rid of the backlog.

7. Delete unwanted voicemails.

8. There’s no need to hang on to podcasts you’ve already listened to. So go to Settings > Podcasts and make sure Delete Played Episodes is selected.

9. Clear your browser history.

More tips on how to make room for the new update.
