A curious Australian Noisy Minor came up to me checking i wasn’t a threat to his family. I pointed my camera as fast as possible to capture this.
These guys are great at protecting the area they live in. A natural alarm system, letting other birds know when there are predatory animals around. Even my pet birds pay attention to these guys!!
It is said they migrated into suburban/city Sydney from the Blue Mountains region. This was after popular plants like bottle brush and Grevillia were planted around all the housing areas. They couldn’t resist following to the warmer climate with an abundance of food! They are lightly - along with the Indian Minors - considered a pest as they push away parrots like lorikeets, rosellas and cockatoos!
None the less, they are super intelligent creatures!
