- Person A waking up to person B cooking breakfast. Person A hugs them from behind, gives them a smooch and whispers a soft “Good morning” in their ear. Person B smiles and replies with a “Good morning”.
- Person A making a grocery list for person B. Person A writes a small note of how much they love person B each time. It never fails to make B smile.
- Person A is working late. They come home to person B sleeping on the couch with 3 empty cups of coffee close to them. Person B was waiting for person A to come home.
- It’s raining. Person A and B stay at home to do some spring cleaning. They put on some music and work, soft rain noises still hearable. Every now and then, they stop for a small kiss.
- It’s not only raining, but there is thunder! It’s late and person B is terribly scared of thunder. Person A hugs them closely, calming them down. Person B falls asleep in their arms.
- Person B’s white shirt ends up in the wrong section of the dirty clothes for the washer, sorted by person A. Their white shirt is now a colored mess. Person A apologizes deeply, even though person B isn’t mad at all. Person B cannot help but wonder how he fell in love with this dork.
- Person A gets the flu. Person B stays away from work and takes care of them. Person A tells them to not lay next them, they might catch the flu too. Person B does it anyways, giving person A loads of affection.
- A hot summer day. What does that mean? Ice cream time! Person B makes some home-made ice creams™. Person A and B enjoy the ice cream while relaxing outside.
- It’s Sunday. Which means relaxing all the day. Person B pulls up some old classical games. They end up doing some UNO and Monopoly. Person B is more competitive than Person A thought and they end up having an intense duel of what was supposed to be a casual game.
- It’s the third day in a row that they’re eating frozen pizza. Person A complains to person B. Person B gets pissed and tells person A to cook themselves if “They’re so done with seeing pizza on their plate,”. Person A takes up the offer and cooks themselves. They end up with burned food created by chef person A. Person A apologizes and takes out person B for a dinner date as an apology.
- It’s finally Friday. Person A and B have had a busy week, person A has been working late and person B had to stay away for their work. They long for each other’s company and are glad when they find themselves watching an old movie all cuddled up together.
BONUS (OT3): Person A, B, and C have a dishwashing list, showing who’s turn it is to wash the dishes. Person C usually never does the dishes. One evening. person B comes home to whining noises. They check the kitchen and see person C washing the dishes! …Under supervision of person A. They feel pity for person C and they help them out. Person A gives their strict behaviour up and joins them in. All the three are washing the dishes while talking about how their day was.
So you STILL wanna study, but somehow the mood just isn’t right. Maybe try these? Pick your favorite, or do one each day of the week!
The Freshman: Hot coffee, boy bands, reading your textbook on your bed.
This is the Basic Mood. It’s hard to get much simpler!
The Hermione: Earl Grey, ambient noise, writing/researching a research paper deep in the stacks of the school library.
A great way to feel super Prepared and Scholastic, this mood also pairs well with argyle socks and maroon V-neck sweaters.
The Carefree: Lemonade or cider, the wind in the trees, highlighting key points points in readings at a picnic table.
Useful for when everything seems overwhelming - being outside can make difficult and stressful readings seem not as bad. And enjoying the last nice weather of the year is good too!
The At-Home: Hot chocolate, swing bands, writing journals in your parents’ living room.
Thanksgiving break is around the corner, and that’s when a lot of people go home for the first time. If you have anything to catch up on, this mood is perfect!
The Work-Study: Lemon water, rain noises, making bullet point outlines of key info at the desk you staff for your work-study job.
Just because you work doesn’t mean you can’t be productive at the same time! I’m writing this at my work study job, for instance.
The Holiday Spirit: Peppermint mocha, Christmas carols, crafting timelines somewhere lit by string lights.
I KNOW Christmas is still far away. However, some people get in the spirit early, and that’s okay! Live it up, you merry people.
The Cinderella: Something fizzy, waltzes, working on something due at midnight while wearing fancy clothing.
Hey, just because you procrastinated doesn’t mean you can’t have fun while you finish it. Make it less of a stressful event by going full-on Cinderella - maybe leave one shoe somewhere for realism’s sake, too!
Don’t stress about doing exactly these - they’re suggestions! Mix and match at your leisure.
The time has come for me to post my very first something that should resemble a masterpost ever. After more than half a year. Go me. Anyways, I am one of those people who like to study with sound, but not always with music. So here’s a little list of my favorite ambient study sounds on YouTube that I listen to while studying. Enjoy!
I feel like either of them would not be the same without each other. Like we saw michael when jeremy left him and it was so sad but jeremy would be so depressed and mask it so badly. Like Michael could be gone for a few days and jeremy would probably talk to rich and jake and be like “i don’t even??? Miss him??? Wo w this is so easy. I don’t need michael i have me, myself, I, and you guys” and then his phone would ding and Jeremy would shout “MICHAEL” and then be sad when it wasnt him and jake and rich would be like “are you ok” and jeremy over here would be staring outside a window and playing rain noises on his phone and be like “I’m fine why do you ask.”
I see a lot of posts about how to be productive when you have memory issues, executive dysfunction, etc. so I thought I’d share my own way of doing things in case it’s helpful to anybody.
I keep a to-do list.
I use the “notes” program on my laptop and phone so I’ll never lose it (I have a Mac, but I think most computers have some sort of notepad feature?) I never delete the list or start a new one. Instead, I keep the same document and change it as necessary.
I have a variety of bolded headings which I make bulleted lists under. There are things like homework, shopping, housework, important dates/reminders, etc.
I put a due date next to everything and try to order things from most to least urgent. I also sort homework assignments by class.
If one task has many parts or steps that I might forget, I’ll add another bulleted list under that task of everything I need to remember.
I try to plan out the order in which I want to do things.
If I have a difficult or time-consuming task that I’m having trouble starting, I usually try to do something smaller first, like a quick assignment or some cleaning, to get myself feeling productive.
While I try to accomplish things in order of urgency, I make an effort not to leave a bunch of big assignments for last. I try to get some of the more difficult ones out of the way early on so I can do easier tasks in between.
I also try to determine when I want to do things. I don’t usually write this down; rather, I’ll decide mentally beforehand: I’m going to fill these forms out in the morning tomorrow, I’m going to work on this assignment Wednesday and this one Thursday, I’ll save this task for the weekend, etc. I personally don’t do this for every task, only ones that I need a certain amount of time or energy for.
If I have a task that I have to do regularly, I’ll try to pick a specific time or day to do it (feed the fish in the morning, take out the trash on Fridays, etc). If you struggle to keep on track with things like this, you can set alarms or keep a written schedule for things that won’t change.
Unless time is an immediate issue, I don’t force myself to finish tasks when I’m low on energy.
If I want to get something done but I can’t make myself do it at the moment, I wait until I’m “in the mood” or feeling a quick burst of energy or productivity and work on it until the feeling goes away. If I try to force myself to work on something when I have no energy, it won’t come out good.
If I can’t find the energy to work on a large assignment, I can usually still find the energy to knock something tiny off the list. Even if it’s something super easy and quick, it’s still one more task you don’t have to worry about.
If I can’t complete an assignment but I can do a tiny bit of it, I do it. Even if it’s just cleaning a tiny part of a room or writing one sentence in an essay, it’s still one more fraction of the task completed.
Despite being 20 years old, I’m still finding out what conditions I work best under.
I struggle to read or concentrate for long periods of time, but I’ve recently discovered that having a stim toy as well as rocking while reading helps me focus.
I’ve tried doing homework while listening to music, silence, etc. and I’ve found that white noise like static or rain helps me focus best.
I’ve also found that it’s easiest for me to get things done in certain rooms, sitting on certain furniture, around certain people (or no people), etc.
Not all tasks are the same. I listen to music while cleaning but not while reading. I use my fidget cube in class but my tangle while doing homework. I like to cook with my friends but be alone while reading.
Take time to experiment and find what helps you and what disrupts you when working on different tasks.
Obviously this list doesn’t cover every obstacle and some of these things won’t work for everyone, but if even a few people find this useful then I’m happy.
This is probably a super used AU, but it's great. High school AU. Maybe Tony and Bucky? Like the classic ones with Tony being the 'rich kid' and being misunderstood, then something happens and it changes? And Bucky? Somehow? Thanks!
Super used AU just means it’s so great, it can’t be retold often enough ;) That said, I think I kinda lost focus, but the premise of the AU stands, so I hope you’ll like it anyways!
“I’m perfectly fine, thank you for asking,” Tony says drolly without bothering to look up.
“Sure you are,” the sarcastic drawl finally makes Tony lift his aching head from where he’s been staring unseeingly at the tips of his shoes, and hello Hot Leatherjacket whom he’s been secretly crushing on for going on four months. This has the potential to become awkward very fast. “That’s why you’re sitting out here, two hours after school let out, in the rain, without a coat.”
Tony shrugs. All he wants is to be in his warm bed, a cup of Jarvis’ home-made cocoa on his bedside table and a notebook in his hands, and be left alone.
Apparently Unnecessary Questions doesn’t get the message though. “You waiting for someone?” he asks, shifts until he’s fully facing Tony, clearly intent on continuing this conversation for a while.
Tony just barely suppresses a sigh. He might have been thrilled on any other day, to finally get this guy’s–and how pathetic is it, that he doesn’t even know his name after four months of pining from afar?–attention but right now he just- doesn’t have it in him.
“For whom?” Shaggy Hair continues the interrogation.
“Parents.” Jarvis, technically. He’s learned early on though, that any reminder of his parents’ wealth won’t lead to anything good.
“Oh,” Blue Eyes sounds surprised–and completely unimpressed by Tony’s monosyllabic answers. “When are you meeting up with them?”
“One hour and 24 minutes ago.”
It’s unlike Jarvis to be late. On the other hand it’s very likely that his father has given Jarvis another task to handle and forgotten to make sure his only son would get home in the process. Usually that would have made Tony angry. Usually he would have started walking home or got himself a phone or something. But today–today had been a bad day and Tony is so tired.
Pretty Smile grimaces. “That sucks.”
A pause. Silence, except for the gentle pit-pat noise of the falling rain.
“Do you have a jacket?”
“Where is it?” Killer Jaw steps a little closer.
“Ah.” Another grimace. “They’re a bunch of irredeemable assholes.”
Had Tony been in a better condition, he would have commented on the team jacket the guy is wearing. Instead he settles for a pointed look.
Nice Muscles shrugs unapologetic. “I’m part of the team, doesn’t make me blind. Here, do you want my jacket?”
He’s already sliding out of it but Tony doesn’t make any attempt to reach it. He doesn’t want to.
“C’mon, man.” Is that worry? It sounds a little like worry, Tony absently thinks. “You’re shaking, you can’t tell me you’re not freezing.” Uncharacteristic Footballer takes on of Tony’s hands, winces. “Fuck, you’re cold. C’mere.”
Something warm–jacket–is draped over Tony’s shoulders. It’s kind of nice.
“See, that’s better, isn’t it?” Sad Smile asks him, and yeah, it really is. “I’m gonna pull you up now, alright? We really need to get you out of the rain. On three, one, two, three.”
Tony is pulled up all right. It’s a little hard to stay standing, his legs are trembling and uncomfortably stiff, but Wannabe Hero has a tight grip around Tony’s waist and keeps them both upright. Tony leans his head against the closest shoulder. It’s not very comfortable, with the up and down movements during every step, but it’s still kind of nice.
“Here we are,” Knight In Shabby Leatherjacket mutters eventually, props Tony up against–the side of a car? The world kind of slips sideways a little, and he doesn’t even realise he’s falling until a strong grip around his upper arms pulls him up again. “Hey, hey, hey, don’t do that!” Terribly Worn Down Boots scolds, “keep those pretty eyes open for me, will you? I need you to tell me where to go, hey!”
Tony blinks up at Really Blue Eyes lethargically, which for some reason earns him a bright smile. “There you are.” He’s being shifted and moved again, until he’s finally sitting–passenger seat. It is surprisingly comfortable.
Helpful Not Quite Stranger helps him put on a seatbelt, which is nice. Tony isn’t sure he could have done it on his own. His fingers are very numb.
“Hey there,” Possibly A Kidnapper murmurs, a warm hand carefully tilting Tony’s head up. “I’m gonna drive you home, alright?” he asks, adds with a twist of lips, “probably get banned by your parents too because I have a couple of words for them and they aren’t fuckin’ nice. But for that to happen I need you to tell me where you live, alright?”
Okay. Tony can do that. He rattles down his address and though his voice is shot to hell, Gentle Hands seems to understand him, what with his raised eyebrows and the whistling and the “Damn, hope nobody’s gonna call the cops on me when I show up there in this wreck of a car,” that causes Tony to flinch.
“Joking, I’m just joking!” Comforting Voice insists immediately. Tony tries to ascertain his truthfulness but it’s hard to focus, so he just ends up relaxing back into his seat again.
“I’m James by the way, but my friends call me Bucky.”
Tony isn’t sure what that means.
“It means I’d like you to call me Bucky,” Warm Chuckle tells him with an amused but genuine grin and leans forward to turn up the heat.

A/N: Birthday drabble for @letsrunwithdream, hope you like it Ivona! Tried my best for the fluff, but this is the best I can achieve. By the way, thank you @evanstanss for the amazing editing!
Spring summers had a magnetic effect on her, on her aura. She loved to wear an oversized and cozy knit sweater with fluffy socks while sitting in her loft balcony. The big and comfy loveseat Steve helped her choose worked as a friendly monster. A monster and loyal companion that anchored her to a surface while her mind wandered around fictional stories in a paper that rested between her hands and a glass of cold wine to her right.
The words in front of her eyes, the subtle music of Kings of Leon playing on the ground eased her mind from the horrors sealed in her veins. She would cheer moments like that one forever, moments in which she could just stop being a field doctor and be nothing, a mere observer for those fictional characters.
A/N: Sherlock Holmes has ruined me completely and there is no denying it. Honestly, I don’t even know what I’m doing anymore, because it’s 11:13 in a thursday morning and I have this somewhat important exam tomorrow, yet I’m here with another request because why the fuck not, right? But anyways, drama aside, I really hope you guys enjoy this. Also, for the lovely people who have sent me requests, do not fear, I have not forgotten about you. They will be coming soon, I promise, because mind you I am not done with ruining my life just yet.

Authors Note: Hey hey my lovely readers. This is a bit short but I mean… it is cutesy and fluffy, did I mention kinda cute? Haha. It is 1 am and I am super happy so please, disregard this authors note if it appears odd. Anywho, enjoy Shawn fluff. Xx (GIF not mine).
You relax in the passenger seat with Shawn’s phone in your hand, dominating the music, your laughter echoing loudly in the car as you snicker at your boyfriend while he hums obnoxiously to your favourite song, intentionally going off key.
“And they call you a pro.” You chuckle as the melody comes to an ending, your eyes scanning his phones playlist for another tune.
“Someone’s a bit jealous.” His hand benevolently reaches over for yours, his fingers binding with yours as he proceeds to aimlessly drive.
On warm summer evenings you and Shawn agree that there is no better feeling than to aimlessly drive around the town, windows down, music playing as the mild breeze fills your lungs. There is just something calming and nonchalant about having no real destination as the breeze travels through your hair and the air becomes crisper.
“Do you think maybe you will play one of my requested songs?” Shawn questions with a grin, for the third time requesting yet another one of his favourite musician’s songs. You shake your head, clicking on one of Shaw’s numbers, the first few chords immediately causing him to sigh.
“I am no John, but I am glad you perceive a resemblance.”
“Maybe you can sing this song in tune,” You playfully tease, his voice already humming to the opening chords.
While the music softly sounds and Shawn hums along to his own song, your eyes take notice of the clouds eclipsing, a few raindrops becoming evident on the windscreen.
“Hey, there is small field up ahead, do you mind stopping?” You request, a twinkling idea striking your thoughts. He doesn’t ask questions, alternatively, he complies with your demands.
When the car comes to a halt you slide out, waiting for Shawn to wander over towards you.
“Okay, so what are we doing?” He questions, his eyes gazing out at the empty field of fresh grass and a few dandelions. You smile to yourself, taking his hand and tenderly tugging him further away from the vehicle.
“We are feeling the rain.” You respond with a heavy exhale, feeling the cool precipitation tapping your bare skin.
“We are about to be in the middle of a storm and you want to stop and feel the rain?” He turns to stare at you with wrinkled eyebrows, utterly bewildered by your comment.
You nod, “It is like stopping to smell the roses, but we are feeling the rain.” You respond, lacing your fingers with his, peering into his copper-colored eyes. He lets out a small chuckle, the rain flattening his hair as it becomes damp.
“You, are so fucking weird, yet so fucking beautiful.”
