no seriously if you don't reblog this at least go watch

Dear Mutuals,

This gif set is for you.

I haven’t been online since Friday 23rd, which is quite poopy of me, since I haven’t answered your kind messages and reblogged your posts, which I really enjoy doing. I’ve had a self-induced SKAM hiatus. I feel really happy when I see a fellow mutual post a gif set, text post or a piece of art they’ve created for this wonderful SKAMily. I’ve just been in my emo state and closed myself off from tumblr and the world of SKAM (which you can see from my unupdated blog). I didn’t know how the reaction of it all ending would be here on tumblr, and since my cat has started to refuse being a cuddly ball of fluff in which I bury all my tears in, I didn’t have anyone to be around with physically (except for my cat and horse, but they don’t really understand when I go all emo on them) to help solve my many personal emotions that were raised with the last clip and all of the seasons of SKAM. But I’ve revived myself, and can see myself staying here on tumblr until the foreseeable future. I’ve made too many friends to just shut myself from tumblr for much longer, and I’d really like to continue being in touch with you all.

This gif set is each clip that Evak kissed<3 Sorry for not being online, sorry sorry sorry.

@br1skeby Faen Johanne, min Guru. I hope you know what you mean to me, so I’ll spare you a huuuugee multi-chapter piece of writing to show that (unless if you need a sudden boost of happiness, then dm me and I’ll be on it like a car bonnet)<3 Your writing metaphorically kills me each time you drop a new bomb ass chapter. I’m really happy I’m able to fangirl with you, be it over Evak, Yousana or Levi ;)

@beanievaltersen Hehe :3 As long as you’re happy with your new mattress, Evak and I am happy too :D  You must know what you mean to me too, but we need to revive our crazy theories about what all the Skam Squads are up to! Also, it’s an absolute honour to beta-read your artistry works!! kdjfakd I have no chill about how much I love it!!!

@du-er-ikkealene Elise, you will forever be my soup-bro :D (I really hope you remember why I’mma call you that, if not, I’ll remind you!) Taakk tak tak tak for introducing me to Kensington! They, and you, have inspired me to make cool gif sets of their beautiful, meaningful lyrics, and you will also forever continue to put me in awe of all the various, creative names you make up for Noorhelm :P  (Plus, ily)

@isakschili I’m now listening to Kent on a daily basis, thanks to you, crazy Swedish music-loving girl :*  And you neeeeeed to drop the second chapter of your fic ASAP!! You can’t just leave me hanging on an ending like that– you’ll end up making me even more mad for your fic than I already am ;)  And, in my lil head, you’re my musician buddy! Once a musician buddy, always a musician buddy.

@julieseven Daaayyyyyaamnnnnnn Sue. You must also already know what you mean to me. But seriously tho… If you don’t, then open whatsapp later tonight, and you’ll find out fo sure then.

@levok I’m on the countdown for roasting the new US Skam with you! That’s the only reason as to why I’m probably going to watch it!! And you have contributed to me writing better Danish and thinking outside the box in regards to theories and all, which is really ace! Tak, tak tak tak!! And you’re a bloody wonderful person to talk to! You never fail to make me snort air out of my nose, which basically counts as a laugh.

@prinsenimittliv Tenna I promise I’m going to write that headcanon for you! I feel really bad that I’ve left it so long, but it’s given me more time to think about different angles I can take it from<3 For every beautiful piece of art you create, I will in return write you especially a headcanon! Alt for dig, girl! Plus, dayyYYYAAAmmmMMMMmmmmm your haircut looks hella fine! :*

@chillerhjemmeisak I keep on saying it, and I’ll say it again: GOOD LUCK ON YOUR A-LEVELS!!!! :D  I promise you that with the power of The Biology Buddies, you will ace them! And that’s a promise! In an AU, we’re running around London in crazy Chris-inspired outfits.

@loooreleii Heyyy youu<3 I also hope you know how kind and sweet and funny and just all the lovely adjectives you are. Your artwork kills me (metaphorically) everytime! I’m so grateful that you share it with us<3  I really would like to keep in touch with you, also so that I can update you with how my new life in Germany will be (Update: I’VE FOUND A FAMILY TO LIVE WITH!!! IN STUTTGART, well not in Stuttgart, in a little town outside of it, but still!) Ich liebe dich<3  Plus, I’m buzzing with all sorts of ideas for the 5 different kisses drabble idea you gave me! Can’t wait to write it for you!

@asflowerpot1 You were the first person I spoke to on this crazy site! If you hadn’t reached out to me so that we could fangirl together, I probably would’ve stayed alone and quite in my own lil fangirl bubble :)  I love how we can literally feel each other’s emotions through the use of caps lock and I just really connect with you! I look forward to continuing our crazy long messages and emo feels together!<3

@eivseank Diana, promise that you’ll remember this: Du. Er. Ikke. Alene. I will be there for you to share our happiness between us, and our sad times. Because that’s what friends do. Please, please remember that<3  I love our long messages about travelling the world and eating 100% cocoa chocolate! :P  Make sure to sleep really well this summer, and to eat loads of ice-cream!!

@isaksredscarf Gael, you da BOMB!.com  Thank you again, endlessly for bringing me into the skamfwn- it’s really boosted my confidence in writing, and everytime I published some little drabble, I always knew I could count on you to tell me how it was!<3 I’ve got an AO3 now, where I’m called tacha_bacha because I thought ‘mannentilminkardemomme’ would be quite long :P  so, yay! This past week I’ve been slowly easing my way back into the wonderful, glorious SKAM world by reading and writing fic, which has definitely lifted my m00d by 110%, no doubt about it. Say ‘hi’ to your fuffy, adorable cat!

@sweetevak Ayo Emotional Overload, let’s keep sending dank memes of Honk vs. Cat in sunglasses :D  Also, I’ll literally never let you forget that you were the one to get me into writing!! You’re a godess! (At least, you’re my writing godess). I miss when you’d send seriously cute lil headcanons of Evak- they were pure and sweet, and just what every single hc in this crazy world should be made of<3

I’m going on holiday to The Motherland (aka. Denmark) this Tuesday for 11 days with my friend who has never been, and I’m not bringing my laptop, so writing any drabble will be harder on my phone, but I will do it for you all!! Because I love writing for you and seeing your sweet reactions in the tags and comments. I’m also bringing a notepad along, so there will definitely be a lot of inspiration coming to me! I’ve already started thinking about writing an AU -whaaaaaaattt???? This is new territory for me, but I’m so excited to be doing it with all of you, both my beautiful mutuals and followers (AND BEAUTIFUL ANON, IF YOU’RE READING THIS THEN REMEMBER THAT YOU PHYSICALLY AND LITERALLY MAKE ME SMILE!!!!! WHICH IS ONE OF THE BEST EFFECTS ONE CAN HAVE ON A PERSON!)

Jeg elsker dere alle! Have a wonderful summer. I really look forward to reblogging EVERYTHING I see! *sends an infinite amount of kisses*

Love from,

Natacha :o)

Offer to the Robron Fandom

So, starting tonight, things are going to be really bloody difficult for our favourite boys, and there’s no doubt at all that some episodes are going to be….really hard to watch.

I know so many of us (myself included) have latched onto Robron in a big way, and so many of us identify with the boys, and seeing Aaron in prison, suffering abuse, and potentially even drug abuse, is going to be pretty triggering for some people.

So what I’m offering is this. If you want me to, I’m more than happy to watch the episodes (not just tonight, but over the coming weeks/months - the entire duration of this storyline) and then give you a message telling you whether you should avoid watching it or not (or at least, if you’re having a bad day, I can tell you to wait until you’re feeling a bit better before watching the episode/scenes).

I’m already going to do this for another friend here, and I’d be happy to do this for anyone else. Even if we haven’t spoken before, even if we don’t follow each other - it doesn’t matter. Just give me a message and I can make sure I PM you after the episodes and give you an idea of how heavy/intense they are.

I think it’s so important for everyone to look out for each other. I know a lot of what will happen in these episodes will be revealed in gifsets and written posts, but that’s not the same as watching it on screen, hearing the words and seeing exactly what’s going down.

This storyline is going to contain physical/verbal abuse, potential drug abuse, mentions of pedophilia, homophobia (no doubt), and I wouldn’t be surprised if Aaron self-harms again. This is going to be seriously triggering for a lot of people, for any of those reasons, and I want people to still feel safe and still be able to watch the show as a whole and enjoy the storyline as much as they can.

So please, please, please feel free to message me. You don’t have to tell me why you’re concerned, or why it might be triggering or upsetting to you. I can either give you brief details of what happens in the episodes or I can just quickly say “I wouldn’t watch if you’re having a bad day”. Like it doesn’t have to be a big deal, but it could be important.

I know some people may well need this, or they may have already asked other fandom friends to do this for them. But I also know some people might feel silly or embarrassed to ask someone, or are not sure who to ask, and I just want you to know you can ask me. It’s honestly no bother at all, and I’d be happy to do it if it’s going to help put people’s minds at ease.

So starting from tonight, this offer is open. Please please PLEASE feel free to message me - I won’t ask any questions. I’ll just add your name to a list and that will be that. Job done. And you’ll get a little message after the episode/s air.

If people could help spread the word, or want to reblog this and offer themselves up to do this too, that would be awesome. This fandom is so lovely and I’ve seen several posts of people sounding concerned for what’s to come, and I just want you to all feel safe!

This post in short: if you want me to watch Emmerdale and PM you after the episodes air to warn you about their content/let you know whether it’s safe to watch, please let me know and I’ll be happy to do that for you.

SUPER IMPORTANT!!!!! I'm feeling really dysphoric and for Easter I have to wear a dress because no one in my family knows I'm trans and when I get home I'll be alone for a really long time and I don't know what to do to help get rid of the dysphoric feeling. Please help

Ren says:

To all my lovely trans sisters and brothers and siblings having to undergo Easter dressup (or Passover dressup, or any holiday dressup):

You’re valid. No matter what clothes they put you in. Maybe you’re undercover, like a spy; maybe you’re crossdressing; maybe you just look really darn good in a dress or suit or whatnot. Your clothes don’t determine your gender. You do, and you’ve already done that, so - congratulations! You’re valid and you and amazing.

But that doesn’t always help dysphoria go away. So what’s a [your gendered noun of choice here] to do?

anonymous asked:

Hi. I'm starting to approach my own long fic. And every fic I started in the past I ran out of steam. I want to finish some of them but cringe at my old writing style. How have you kept going with freight for three years?

Hi! First off, I want to say awesome! Long stories are some of the hardest to write, in my opinion, and I’m really proud of you for taking the plunge. Woo!

As for how I’ve kept going with Freight for the last three years, well–that’s kind of a tricky question to answer. I’ve grown so much as both a writer and a person since the original idea came popped into my head, and by extension my writing process has changed, too. There’s no quick fix or easy method to follow, I think, and tackling on a big project like Freight has definitely had it’s ups and downs. Everyone is different, so what I’ve found works for me might not work for you. But! That being said,  I’ll try to outline some of the things I do/have done!

  1. I’ve started dozens of big writing projects, only to drop them halfway through. My old account is proof of that–about half of the unfinished stories I haven’t deleted over the years are still sitting dormant in various fandom archives. It’s a natural thing, I think–something every writer goes through. We jump into a story and hit the ground running, and then lose steam before we can get very far at all. When I first got the idea for Freight, I decided that I was really going to stick with the story, something I hadn’t been able to do with more than a few projects before. So, naturally, I did the exact opposite of what I thought I was supposed to do: I didn’t write.
  2. Yep, you read that right. Freight actually “started” in February-ish of 2013, but I didn’t put the first chapter down on paper (or the computer, really) until August. So what did I do in the meantime? I planned. I outlined the whole thing, scrapped that draft, and then outlined it all again. I think there are three separate versions floating around my apartment right now, actually. I started with a basic idea (zombie apocalypse), then built the frame for my characters (What are their family relationships? What are their skill sets? Which aspects of their personalities am I going to highlight?), and then crafted my setting. A lot of that initial work is handwritten, because I have an easier time visualizing things with charts and lists. Only after I’d finished the worldbuilding did I sit down and hammer out the plot, which I organized into arcs and built around a timeline.
  3. The arc frame and timeline are, for me, the most important parts of this whole process. They’re your skeleton, especially the arcs. I think one of the most daunting things about a big writing project is the sheer size of it. You can plan everything out, but as soon as you sit down to write the first few chapters you can get overwhelmed. With arcs, you have a very clear idea of what you need to do, and a very clear “end” in sight. You don’t have to think of your story as one big hulking mess, and instead can look at it in pieces. The timeline plays into that, too. You only have so many fictional days to fill with content, so you’re limiting the amount of pressure you put on yourself.
  4. Sitting down to write the first chapter was, I think, the hardest thing for me. You do all this planning and get everything finalized, and now you have to go through it from the beginning and actually, you know, make real words happen. I wrote three or four drafts of the first chapter and wasn’t happy with any of it, so I took a step back and reevaluated my process again. The way I decided to approach each chapter after that little setback was similar to how I approached the story as a whole: outline, break each chapter up into scenes or “mini-arcs”, and focus my attention on each so I wouldn’t try to move too fast or do too much. Focusing on smaller pieces of a whole also helps me keep the pacing of the entire story in check, because I’m forced to finish a complete sequence of events before moving on to another, and so on. You can’t jump around or skip large chunks of events, because you’re locked into that one scene.
  5. Research! Half the fun of building a world or writing dialogue or creating characters is getting into it all. If you’re invested in learning, you’ll be invested in writing. I once spent a week learning basic French grammar just to do four lines of dialogue for a character, and holy crap that was fun! Knowledge is empowering, and it can give you the push you need to move forward though uncertainty. (And you’ll never be without a conversation starter if your head is filled with random facts about post-harvest vegetable storage on organic farms.)
  6. Another thing that really helps me is music. This might sound kind of corny, but I love AMVs and movie trailers, so what I’ll do is find a few songs and listen to them while I’m driving or chilling. I’ll picture scenes based on how the music flows, or the lyrics, or the feel of the song itself. Hard dubstep like, say, “Into the Labrynth” by Kraddy? That’s going to be a battle scene. Each pounding bass drop is a swinging weapon, each lull in the melody is a pause in the action for dialogue, the big drop in the middle (around 3:00 I think) signals the rise of a new threat on top of the chaos. Soft acoustic like, maybe, “All I Want” by Stonefox? That’s a quiet morning, sun streaming through large windows; coffee steam and subtle glances and self-doubt. Watching someone else from a distance; exhaustion; resignation in the face of longing. You feel the change in the music, so you feel the movement of each scene. I spend almost as much time listening to music and planning things as I do writing stuff down, I think.
  7. I write every day. This might just be something I do because I want to write professionally–like, writing is pretty much my whole life right now. But I start with a quick writing exercise to warm up my creative juices and then set to work on whatever project I’m going to do for the day. Even if I don’t make it to the “real” writing because I get distracted or something happens, I’ve at least done something to stay in practice, and to stay in my mental “writing place” if that makes any sense. I’ve trained myself to expect that part of my daily routine, so actually sitting down to type the story out isn’t such a burden anymore. Writing exercises are also good if you’re not sure how to write a scene, a series of actions, a feeling, dialogue, or describe a character/setting. Isolate that thing, whatever it may be, and practice it. A few of my shorter stories are actually just writing exercises that I liked enough to put up on Ao3.
  8. Don’t beat yourself up if you get stuck. Writer’s block happens to everyone. What’s important is that you don’t dwell on it, and don’t let it suck you in. I deal with writer’s block by powering through and writing, writing, writing until stuff starts flowing the way I want it to, but don’t be afraid to take a break. Do something else for a week, write a one-shot or two (emphasis on one-shot; don’t start another big project if you’re stumped with something you’re seriously determined to finish–that will shift your focus, and that’s the opposite of what you want), or write a different part of the same story. Getting burned out sucks, but it happens. What’s important is that you don’t dwell on it.
  9. Settle into a “writing routine”. This will help you mentally. I already mentioned that I do warmups every time I write, but I also have a few other things that help me get in the zone. I drink two cups of coffee while I’m doing my warmup, and I have a pitcher of water that I’m constantly refilling a glass from while I work. I make the same sandwich every time I’m really pushing through (toast, pepper jack cheese, sliced avocado, lime juice, chili powder) if I need a short break. I sit in the same spot every time I write, I block tumblr on both Firefox and Chrome, etc, etc. This will help you fall into the groove faster, and make the process less painful.
  10. Don’t worry about what people are going to think of your story. I know sometimes getting no comments or only a few kudos on the first chapter can be discouraging, but remember to write for you and not anyone else. It’s easier said than done, definitely, but sometimes stuff like that takes time. Push through the self-doubt if you have to, and look at what you’re doing as means to improve your skills if you’re not getting the attention you want right now. The readers will come. Heck, if you send me your story, I’ll read it! It’s not always immediate, but it will happen.
  11. Have fun, homie. If it’s not fun, don’t do it. Write what you want. Write things that make you laugh, write things that make you cry. Put yourself into your story, and it will shine through. Your triumphs, your failures, your flaws, your achievements, your sense of humor–the whole nine yards. And if you do that, you won’t have to worry about losing motivation, because you’re doing what you love.

I hope this answers your question, or at least helps a little. I tried my best to cover most of the basis and include things I’ve learned over the years, and I might reblog this at some point if I think of anything else. Don’t hesitate to ask if you ever need help with anything.

I send all of my love and encouragement your way, and I’m really proud of you for taking on a big writing project! Good luck!! <3

BTS - [NOW ] BTS in THAILAND (Photobook + DVD) (Limited Edition)

Hello beautiful people ~ I’m finally here with a new review. Yay ! It’s always a pretty nice surprise when I received package in the mail, so this fabulous photobook was a big one since I never really know when my stuffs came. I thought that I was going to wait until the end of the next, but not anymore.

I had the change to pre-order the photobook on Kpopmart before it came out of stock/out of print and since the publisher had no intention to reprint the photobook, I was like “Nope, I don’t care if I’m poor, I’m going to buy you piece of art”.
So, it was my first ordering from here. I like the fact that they send us a picture of the package before it got shipped.
It took my package 24 days to come and sadly the box where my photobook came was pretty damaged. I should have taken a picture of it. There has a big hole on it, and the book got slighly damaged since there was also a lack of bubble wrap and the box a bit too big.

As you can see on the picture, the texture of the cover is pretty nice with a lot of relief all over the photobook’s jacket. Or I don’t know how to name it so  ~

DISC 01 :

A little close up on the BTS official sticker on the back of the book’s jacket.

And this is how it looks like when you open the book’s jacket.

The photobook also includes 3 postcards and a mini poster who’s around the same size as the photobook, 18,5 x 26 cm.

Cover of the photobook. Yay ~ I didn’t forget about the DVD, I’m just going to talk about it in the last part of my review so (❁´◡`❁)
Godness, I’m going to talk about this fabulous photobook who contains 250 pages of pure gold. Also showing some of my favorite pictures of the book. And since the photobook is really thick, it was a bit hard to take beautiful pictures. I swear to god I tried my best to have good quality pictures ლ(́◉◞౪◟◉‵ლ)
Please, do not take, reblog or edit my pictures unless you ask for a permission first.

The contents pages are so flashy seriously. There was also group photo on top.

Part 1. HOTEL ROOMAt the start of each part, there’s a camo design with the name of the ”chapter“. Also each of these pages got a different color ~

This is the 1st picture of the photobook. So much gold. And legs. There’s a lot of skin in this book tho. All of the photos are freaking beautiful, in high quality and all. There’s probably a couple part in the book where the pictures are in less quality because it was taken outside, in the dark. But still, they’re all so pretty anwsome ╮(─▽─)╭

Pretty Hobi (⊙△⊙✿)Jin & Jimin in the bath is one of my favorite part of the book ~

Part 2. RESORTThis is one of the part where the pictures are a bit low in quality, but they were taken during the night (as you can see on the DVD too) and they’re still pretty nice quality tho.I took more pictures of J-Hope. He’s one of my bias so I’m sorry for spamming you with is beautiful face (。≖△≖。✿)Flower boys ~

Part 3. SPORTSI think this is the part I took most of the pictures ~

J-Hope & Taehyung were playing Tennis.Rap Monster, Jin & Kookie were playing Ping PongFinally Suga & Jimin were playing Basketball.

Part 4. POOLSweet jesus lord oh I wish I had taken more pictures of this part. THIS IS MY FAV. So much gold, skin and half naked Kookie and Jimin in the pool. Pretty nice. I sound like a perverted noona ლ(́◉◞౪◟◉‵ლ)Jin being the princess he is (◡‿◡✿)

Part 5. HOTEL at NIGHTI really liked the concept of this part, even thought the quality is not at is best. But it’s better than nothing yo ~

Part 6. PATTAYA Oops ~ J-Hope again. And forever. Pretty boy.

At the last pages of the photobook, the boys had a kind of mini interview, with all the same questions for each members and they had to choose there’s favorite picture, as you can see on the bottom corner ⊙ω⊙

The credits part. This picture is so fabulous ~

And finally, sweet god, the back of the photobook. I really liked the concept for their cover photobook. Took from their sport part ⊙△⊙

DVDIt took me around 2 days before listening to the DVD. I had so much feels when I got my photobook, so watching this was not in my top priorities.
The DVD is an all region category, with english, japanses and korean subtitles and the duration of the disc is around 30 minutes. It contains the making-of of the photobook and the surprise mission, who was on their last part in the book.

I don’t know what to say… Haaa ! This was pretty nice to see the behind the scene for the photobook. They showed up the making of each part, and the boys chilling out at each locations. There were some part that was pretty funny too.
For their mission, the boys were seprarated in 3 groups : Jin & Suga, RapMon & J-Hope, and the maknae line, Kookie, Jimin and V. They had to chose a theme and a location for a photoshoot. And if I remember well, the winning team was going to have full pages with their pictures on it. The funiest thing is that Jin & Suga had like only 7 minutes to do their photoshoot, while the other boys had around 20 minutes.
For the winning team (☞゚∀゚)☞ I’m not going to tell you. Nah. I’m kidding. The maknae line won this run.
They also talked about their experience in Thailand, how the mission was and all.

At last, those 30 minutes were pure gold. And I couldn’t stop giggling like a little schoolgirl having a freaking crush. Like. Yeah. Help ಥ‿ಥ

FINALLY, I just wanted to say despite his price that was kinda expensive with the shipping, I don’t regret anything. Every A.R.M.Y need this piece of gold, or at least, watch it one time in your lifetime. I hope to see more from the boys and up until now, they never disapointed me.

Hope you liked my kind of review. Sorry for my long post and grammatical error. And stay tunned for my future release. And who knows, probably a giveaway ≖‿≖

Cipher Hunt Rant

Okay, listen up Gravity Falls Fandom. I know not all of you are doing this; so if you aren’t, at least reblog for people who are acting this way.

The Cipher Hunt was created to bring the fandom together so they could work together and solve this huge mystery that should be a thing that everyone should get a chance to look at in the end. Not about taking things for yourself.

People are being so mistreated and greedy about this whole thing, when really, it shouldn’t be this way. Yes, I understand the excitement everyone has about this whole thing because it’s huge and amazing, but it doesn’t mean you need to try and rush to get everything for yourself.

The fact May took the time to drive well over 7+ hours from Piedmont to L.A. For a key that would help the WHOLE fandom and she gets basically zero actual respect for it is kind of pissing me off.

Also not to mention that people’s opinions don’t get counted or they don’t matter. Seriously, this whole thing is rather making people stressed and hurt rather than making it fun like it should be. Like how Alex wanted it to be.

Imagine if he saw how the fandom is acting right now. He’s in San Diego and not watching all the time, but if he saw how this was going? He would be disappointed.

People shouldn’t be treated this way, and to anyone in the Cipher Hunting group who IS being treated like that, I sincerely apologize. I’m really sorry about how this is going and I wish I, myself could do more about it. I’m going to hope this gets reblogged enough times for the fandom(or at least the people only thinking about themselves)to realize what jerks they’re being and that this isn’t just about themselves.

May is likely going home tomorrow and the decision is going to get made with the group. She honestly deserves more recognition and respect then she has got.

I hope this gets reblogged enough times to change something. If you have anything to add relating to this, just type along in the reblog. Trying is better than keeping a mouth shut.

this is a long text post, but don’t worry because i’m sure most ppl will turn a blind eye to this. after all, it’s not something about the fandoms so why bother eh? oh no, let’s just go back to reblogging pictures of the fandoms we’re in and bad jokes /sarcasm

in all seriousness, if you read it, then at least you know the situation that’s occurring in that corner of the world. and maybe, just maybe, it opened your eyes.

I don't know if your doing the three sentence thing you reblogged but if you are… Percico and trapped in a cabin during a snow storm or superhero au (◡‿◡✿)

“Can’t you do something about this?” Nico hissed, glaring out the window and grimacing as more wet snowflakes hit the glass.

“What? No- how could I do something?”

“Well? Snow is water, isn’t it? You’ve done more impressive things then clear some snow out of the way.”

“It’s not salt water. How about you?” Percy crossed his arms defensively.

“What about me?"

"Why can’t you just shadow travel us out of here?”

Nico scoffed, “And go where Percy? If you've forgotten, it’s sort of winter everywhere.”

Percy frowned, “Why are you mad at me? I'm not the one who pissed off Persephone-”

“Demeter.” Nico snapped, “Not Persephone. And it's not my fault either!”

“Well, you know, it kind of-”

“Oh, shut up! You don’t know anything, Jackson. Can you get us out of here or not?”

“Not any better than you can! Seriously, Nico, why are you so upset with me? This whole quest you’ve hardly even talked to me at all! I don’t like it any more than you, but if you can’t get us out of here either then we’re stuck until we figure something out. So if you could maybe stop treating me like the enemy, then-”

“Fine. Fine. Sorry. I’m sorry. Maybe we can’t wait it out.” Nico sat down away from the window of the safe house, face contorted something between embarrassment and anger. “At least wait for the blizzard to calm down. We can get some rest.”

Percy frowned. Nico had never been his best friend, ok, but something had been off about Nico since the “Gaea accident”. Percy was willing to mark it up to Nico being older and moody, but even still. Besides, it’s not like he acted this way with everyone. He certainly didn’t act bitter and angry towards Jason. Not that he was jealous.

“Right.” Percy said, and settled down on the moth eaten couch, looking at Nico, who now had his jacket wrapped around him tightly and his eyes decidedly closed. Percy frowned and shivered.

“Your teeth are chattering.”

“Huh?” Percy looked at Nico, who had cracked an eye open and was looking at him.

“Your teeth are chattering. Don’t you have a blanket or a coat or something?”

Percy sniffed and noticed that, damn, yeah, his teeth were chattering. He tugged on his jacket. “Yeah. I mean-” OK maybe he wasn’t as prepared as he thought he was, “I’m fine.”

“Moron.” But Percy was relieved that at least some of the bitterness had left Nico’s voice, “Here.” Nico shrugged off his aviator jacket, which still was big on him after all this time, and threw it at Percy, a hint of a smirk on his lips.

“What about you?” Percy caught the jacket and was surprised at its warmth. It smelled like Earth and dust and something sweet like cola. Not that Percy noticed. But it was warm.

“I’m used the cold.” Nico shrugged and looked away again, and Percy noticed how small he looked now without the bulk of his jacket.

“Come on, I don’t want you to freeze.”
“I said I’m used to it. Go to bed."

“I’m fine Percy. I’ll take first watch. We’ll get out of here once we can see the sun again, ok?”

Percy pressed his lips together and stood up, walking to Nico’s corner and sitting next to him, their shoulders touching. He tried not to be offended when Nico scooted away. “What are you doing?” Nico squinted as Percy tossed the jacket over both of their laps.

“It’ll be warmer this way. Sharing body heat or whatever.”
“W-what?” Nico’s face flushed, “That’s stupid I’m-”

“We’ll get out of here when we see the sun,” Percy stared at Nico until the blushing boy turned his head and muttered something that sounded like “whatever”.

“OK.” Percy sighed. It was going to be a long winter.

I need some tips! I want to learn how to draw! I'm really bad at drawing, to the point where my stick figures don't even look like stick figures! I want to know, everything I need to know! Should I go out and buy a drawing pad? What kind of pencils should I get? What should I start out drawing. I know learning how to draw takes time. What should I do when I get frustrated when I can't draw the thing I'm trying to draw? I prefer realistic art (no anime, sorry to all my anime drawers out there!)

Hey there! Okay, i’ll go straight to the points.

1. Everyone can draw. Some people have at a bit ‘easier’ but that is just relative, and with hard work anyone can draw.

2. Yes you should! You can buy different sizes, depending on the use you are going to give them and how comfortable you are going to be with them. You might not like drawing on A5 sized paper because its too small or you might see A3 as way too big. If you are looking forward to take it with you, you might want to choose smaller ones, so it depends. And about the brand, just choose one that you like, ‘feel’ the paper with your fingers. Something that annoys be a bit is the color, as i like white paper and not that ‘creamy’ color. But for sketches using canson is good, I believe they are everywhere and they are not really expensive:

They are not super good, but for sketches and stuff they are. But watch out on, as I said, the color and the texture. (I bought the recycled paper and I didn’t like it very much :/)

3. Pencils. You might want to get a box set. The brand and number of pencils is up to you. I started off with this exact box set that includes 12 different pencils. From 2H up to 9B, the most regular ones.

They are Daler Rowney. This brand in particular uses very ‘soft’ graphite (which I prefer) and Cretacolor are very nice too! But you are the one to choose. If you are going to buy a big box set, I would recommend you, if possible, to buy just one or two of the same brand and everything so you can try them out beforehand.

4. What you should draw. I would say go for normal stuff, like a can of soup a bottle, some fruit. Draw it having those objects in front of you, Still Art its called.

This will help with your perception and proportion skills as much as shading. But try and choose something you ‘like’. This of course, is not what every self taught artist has done, I believe a vast majority of them didn’t, but instead they just started drawing stuff they liked no matter how complex or difficult it was and just improving and learning from experience. When i first went to art lessons i had to draw the typical apple and bottle, and it was not fun, but it did really help me a lot and proved very useful. But seriously, draw something that you like, it will make the process much more fun and exciting, although that will not decrease the chances of getting frustrated. (at least not with me)

5. You must accept that sometimes your drawings will not turn out as planned. Just accept it, because its completely normal and its okay. Most people (I include myself) assume that ‘sketches’ must be masterpieces, and some are yes, but they don’t HAVE TO. So go and do sketches of stuff, they don’t have to be hyper detailed nor accurate, just make it enjoyable.

Now: Sometimes we do stuff we are not really proud of or we know its not our best, but there will be people who will like it. Not everyone will notice the errors, but the enthusiasm and dedication. And if you go on a rampage or are way too frustrated you can either leave it for a while, come back latter when you feel better, or take it as an exercise and a ‘learning lesson’ (then in a few weeks or months try it again and you will probably see a great difference). But don’t just give up, keep on working.

6.It might help you to watch tutorials, read reviews and more. Even books. I leave you 3 links for tutorials,  tips, and reference,  that take you to stuff i have rebloged, (in which are included some ‘master posts’), which will explain you the basics of drawing and much more. I have only have my experience as knowledge, if not I would answer you with more detail.

I think that’s the best I could answer :) If someone wants to add something feel free!
