what do you think about the walking dead these days?
Oi. Okay. So.
It says in my update thingy on my blog that I’m constantly in a love/hate relationship with the show, and that’s honestly the best way I can describe it. I love it because it was my favourite for such a long time and because when it’s GOOD, it can be fantastic. But it’s not the show it used to be, and especially S6 and 7 weren’t good at all imo…it’s kinda laughable to me that it’s still being called the best show on cable (or tv even!) considering how mediocre it is a lot of the time; regarding ratings it is (for now), but the show itself and its content really haven’t earned it for a while now. And even though I’m disappointed, frustrated and annoyed by it more often than not these days, I stick around and keep watching every week because I know what this show CAN BE, and because I still care about the characters I cared about seasons ago. I (and a lot of other people in the fandom and community) don’t really enjoy it that much anymore, but I still have faith that it can go back to what it used to be…if they work on some of the big problems they’ve been having recently, e.g. the pacing being so messed up and dragging due to all the bottle episodes especially this season (idk what else to call them lol, but you know what I mean), characters acting stupid or ooc or not like actual realistic people at all, sidelining others (again, bottle eps), horrible cgi, etc. On top of that the show has just gotten hella predictable; by now you know the more exciting and better episodes will probably be SP/MSF/MSP/SF, random characters no one cares about usually get introduced/more fleshed out just to be killed off an episode later, while there’s like a 1% chance anything major will happen to others because plot armor. (Glenn’s death is probably the ‘biggest’ thing that has happened since S4.) That’s…just not good and compelling writing, and I’m never excited anymore to watch a new episode.
The show still has its great moments every now and then, but to have about 4 good episodes in a season of 16 and a handful of better than shitty scenes sprinkled throughout just doesn’t cut it. Tbh, I think Gimple has to go. Get a new showrunner and maybe some other new writers, and it has a better chance to improve again (I’m convinced it can!) and be actually deserving of being called a great show. Right now it really really isn’t imo.
So @owly-sims tagged me in the no filter challenge where you take iconic sims of yours and take off their CC, basically. I removed their hair too, and this is what I got (also I forgot a before picture, but oh well, rules were made to be broken!).
Coffea looks like an old man!
If you wanna do it, consider yourself tagged.
(Rules: “take a picture of the sim that’s normally associated with your blog (your legacy founder/lead character in your story etc.), now take away all their cc (except their hair, eyebrows, and skin color), then do a before and after picture.”)
I feel like I’m the only person on here who doesn’t have any major issues with this latest season and/or finale of Heartland. It wasn’t perfect, but overall I really enjoyed it. A couple weeks ago my husband mentioned how much he enjoys Heartland. He said it was consistently good and there aren’t really any bad episodes. It’s so interesting how differently people can view the same tv show.
Dealing with a couple of the complaints people have. Disclaimer: This is just my perspective on it.
1. Georgie and Ghost. I think that was pretty in character for her. She doesn’t know about the history of the horse. Amy was too worried about Ty to get into it and Jack doesn’t know the whole history and wants to support Georgie. I think Georgie had to try and fail just like Amy did. For Georgie, this comes on the back of her recent success with helping Olivia’s horse. She’s feeling a little over confident. She’s also young and idealistic and at the age where adults opinions have less weight. I don’t see it as the writers trying to replace Amy in any way as I have seen some suggest. It was just about Georgie learning about her limitations and learning that just because she wants something doesn’t mean it’s good or for the best. We all have to learn that lesson at various stages of our life.
2. We didn’t see Ty hold or touch the baby. The baby wasn’t on screen for that long so it may have been an oversight by the writers/director. Or maybe Amy is just a baby hog. Although we never saw him hold the baby, he did touch the her right after she was born. I’m sure we’ll see him hold the baby plenty next season. I know it’s not the same as seeing it for the first time, but we can’t go back and change it now. Also, I agree with those who wish Ty hadn’t been in the hospital so long. However, it was totally worth it for me to see Caleb breaking him out.
I’m looking forward to season 11 and I can’t wait to see what happens! I would like to see a lot more Lisa/Jisa, but I’m almost sure to be disappointed about that.
Lock is Stevie. Obviously. Home is Stranger Things / The Clash. Obviously. Recently rediscovered my love for White Lies. This is a selfie I took on Saturday which I now keep using in moments of shock in the group chat I have with my mates. It doesn’t even really need to be a moment of shock I’ll pretty much send it whenever.
I love Red and all your artwork! Especially loving all those super great sticker designs! Your style is so amazing and satisfying <3 Love them! Cant wait to see the set complete (You should consider doing the DLC companions too!) Love ya~ <3
Thank you so much! ^_^ Oh man, I totally forgot about the DLC companions! :O I really should do them too. I LOVE Ada. <3
So I hit the 150 mark, which I did not even think to check until @serwynterwulf commented on his followers….
I feel like I should do something for it but I dunno…
I do however want to say thank you. I don’t really post that much, I’m also slow to reply to asks (I never delete them, so if you haven’t seen yours, it’s coming, I just suck at life), But I really appreciate that people take the time to look at what I do post, send me asks, rp and interact with me, or just lurk.
Am I the only one that doesn’t care at all that Mon El said that he loved Kara before Sanvers have said it? Like the relationship between Kara and Mon El is messy and lacks development, so I’m not surprised that he said that he loved her so quickly. In all honesty he may not even truly love her, she’s just the first person he’s truly been attached to and not a hook up, which he was doing on Daxam.
BUT Sanvers has been developed and I’m just waiting for that special moment that they actually say it. Not some type of “I’m saying this cause I don’t want to lose you bullshit,” but they say it cause it’s true. Cause they truly can’t live without one another and love each other, ride or die. When they do say it, it will be impactful and not easily forgotten like Mon El’s confession.
why is everyone so upset about the things that other people do with their own goddamn bodies, like let me eat this chocolate cake and cut my hair if I want to it’s not your life it’s not your choice, i’m gonna fuckinG-
