Digimon Frontier: Concept vs. Character
Getting through Digimon Frontier was…a bit of a chore. I’m not gonna lie, folks. My output slowed to a crawl towards the end of the series, and the very simple reason is that, if I’m being completely honest, watching the show had stopped being fun for me. The upside to this is that I’ve had quite a bit of time to think about the reasons why I ended up finding this so trying, which I will now do my best to explicate.
But before I go any further, I just want to put it out there that it is 100% okay and valid if you like Frontier and you think it’s the best series of the Digimon franchise. This is not intended to tear down anyone who likes the series. If you happen to be one such person who likes this series more than the others, that’s great! I’m glad you’re able to enjoy it and it’s not my intention here or anywhere to take that away from you. These are simply my observations and the conclusions that I draw from them. You might have other observations and conclusions.
So with that said, let’s get into this.
