A/N: this was a very long ride hot damn

Being in a polyamorous relationship with two boys from the popular group bangtan was a lot of fun until they had to go off to practice. You were in a relationship with Jimin and Yoongi and the three of you had a lot of good times together. However, went they left on days to go practice, you were often left alone in your apartment with nothing to do.

After some mind-blowing sex with the two the night before, you were on wanting more the next day, but you were sad to realize that they had an early practice that morning.

“I’m sorry we don’t have time to take care of you, princess,” Jimin said to you as he finished throwing on his shirt, “I promise we’ll make it up to you when we get home.”

They left soon after, making your mind start working with plans to get revenge for them leaving you behind.

♛BTS!SMUT

summary; 20 questions ends pretty well for you, you’d say. (gender neutral!)

You froze. You couldn’t fathom how one second you could be shocked and disgusted by him and the next trying to get your heart to slow down.

The epitome of a fuckboy.

You couldn’t deny the fact that you loved him- he was enticing, charming, and unnervingly sweet when he wanted to be.

When he wanted to be.

Other times, he was sickeningly frustrating- whether that was caused by how undeniably hot he was or how undeniably fucking annoying.

Jungkook [11:19]: Wanna play a game?

You sighed, swiping open your phone and praising God you didn’t have read receipts on. Although after pondering for a while, you decided that you should probably respond to the boy. It wasn’t like you were busy studying- your exam week was finished- what was the harm?

You [11:21]: What is this game exactly?

The response was quick, your phone buzzing almost immediately after you locked in.

Jungkook [11:21]: 20 questions.

Of course. The fuckboy game.

You scoffed. You had known Jungkook for upwards of three years, so why did he even want to play 20 questions?

Regardless of reasons, you were entertaining a boring night. What was the harm?

anonymous asked:

Hey this is regarding ur one post about writers bein told what to write if what they write is not their story to tell and i just want to say that i disagree with that. Im not a boy trying to survive an apocalypse but there is no law that says only those kinds of people can write that story. Currently im writing a sci fi about a trans boy and theres a scene where he explains dysphoria to another character. Most trans ppl have told me to go ahead. The point is anyone can write anything.

I suppose I’ve wanted to make a post compiling all of how I feel about that post for a while, and what better time to do it than now, when I need to be studying for finals I have tomorrow. So this will be that post.

Yeah I don’t disagree with any of the concepts you’ve said. The post doesn’t say “only write what you’ve experienced” because I too believe that is bullshit and that writing is about exploring creativity and building complex characters through empathy and perspective. In my opinion, go ahead and write your trans character. Since dysphoria is a central part of what it means to be trans for many trans people, of course he might experience dysphoria and it’s definitely going to be a part of his character.

However, the problem comes when people who haven’t experienced oppression try to write it. Even with all the research in the world, they still won’t understand perfectly what minorities go through. Therefore, they are bound to get something wrong and even cause harm on those minorities who’s voices are being outspoken. And here I’m not talking about “this character is trans and that is a part of their character and thus affects the situation,” I’m talking about entire stories and narratives where the central plot revolves around the character’s oppression. I, a white person, wouldn’t write a story (such as, say, Song of Solomon) about what it’s like to be black and explore one’s identity as a black person. In the same way, I wouldn’t expect a straight person to write a story about what it’s like to be gay and explore one’s identity and oppression as a gay person. Oftentimes there will be a major misinterpretation which can lead to harmful stereotypes and negative impacts on a community.

For example, many cis people trying to write about what it’s like to be trans will use the whole “born in the wrong body” narrative. The concept of this narrative affects trans people who try to actually explain what it’s like to be trans, and to most that is not what it’s like. Now, I’m not denying that there are some trans people who identify that way, but the majority of us do not. If you have a story about being trans and a trans character who identifies that way, unless it is addressed in the plot, could negatively affect real trans people by spreading that concept. I myself have been negatively affected by oversimplified ideas on what it’s like to be trans such as that one.

One argument I’ve gotten constantly after I wrote that post is “but you can empathize with the character” and I agree with that critique of my post. In fact, I disagree with the wording that states that someone who is not a minority should NEVER write stories about such issues. In fact, I actually would encourage writing stories to help yourself understand what a family member or a friend is going through. The problem is when people begin to share these stories as if they are a final truth, and publish them as to make money off of minority’s struggles. When you publish a book or put something online, you should think of the negative consequences that could result. Now, most people don’t think before they post online, and I suppose that this concept I have thrown out there is something I wish people to think about before writing stories they wish to send out to the world.

And, of course, naturally there’s the people who are saying “STUPID SJW LOGIC, FREEDOM OF SPEECH, CLEARLY THIS POST IS CENSORSHIP!!!” First of all, I am what many people would define as a “social justice warrior” due to my beliefs of basic human decency and complex social justice views. To that point I say, whatever, because I know those people exist and think that their “logic” will always be superior because they don’t consider emotion (but that is a different discussion). Freedom of speech is a very good law in America that allows people to express all ideas, regardless of what other people think of them. Freedom of speech, however, is not an excuse to say whatever you want because it’s legal. It’s legal to hang a Nazi flag on your door, but that doesn’t make it any less terrible. As for the people arguing this is censorship, they are wrong and clearly don’t know what censorship means. I am simply expressing and arguing my opinion on this matter. If they wish to disagree, then so be it, they do not have to listen to my opinion is they disagree with what I am saying. I am not pointing a gun at your head forcing you not to write anything, nor am I making it illegal to write what you want. I am expressing my opinion, and if you choose to ignore it, then do so. This is less of an issue than other things I have seen debated on here, such as whether or not to excuse LITERAL PEDOPHILIA, which I would argue against much more than something like this matter, which can harm people, but not in a massive way.

TLDR: In my opinion, people who have not experienced oppression writing about it and spreading their ideas and information can be harmful, and has been harmful to me, which is why I made this post. If you wish to disagree with me, go ahead, because I am simply stating my opinion and arguing for it; I am not censoring you or forcing you to write/not write anything.

[1]

There were times where you found comfort in the overwhelming, busy, and bustling metropolis you were raised in. It must’ve been years ago, back when you were bound in the suburbs but your ten-year-old heart would always shake in glee whenever your parents took you out of the house for a drive. The skyscraping and minimal buildings were something that you loved a lot. Your eyes would always look out the window of your dad’s car as your mouth gaped open, struck mesmerized by the towers that disappeared into the clouds. You were always jealous of your relatives who got to live in apartments, in such easy access to the city.

It was such an unfit preference for a kid. Most girls your age would’ve been content with going to the park, playgrounds, going over to a friend’s to build forts and make up ridiculous fantasies until the sun comes up. Not you. You were a city girl, despite growing up in a small housing complex. You had always promised yourself to move into the city when you grew older. Your dreams were quite… unique. Living in castles and marrying a handsome prince were never in your agenda. You wanted to live in an apartment and have a beautiful view that overlooked the metropolitan, one that you could always look at as you enjoyed whatever adult drink you had in mind then. You had heard of New York, Las Vegas, Paris, but none of those could compare what Seoul made you feel. Seoul was yours. The vast city was your little secret, your very own wonderland.

It was nice while it lasted, though.

Make essays easy: 17 basic study tips for university

{Found this great little article on the Independent’s website today and thought I’d share with you guys. I hope it provides some basic pointers ^_^}

Take good lecture notes

It may sound a bit obvious but if you take down good notes it will save you a lot of time come revision time. Make sure you start a new page for every lecture, keep any hand-outs in a folder and don’t bother taking down entire sentences – key words and concepts are all you need. When you get home, expand on the notes you’ve taken, this way you’ll revisit the lecture for a second time.

Gather all your notes in one space

A lot of timewasting occurs when you’re busy sourcing the material you need to study. Keep everything organised together in one space, so when you do quickly need to see that sheet from last term again, you don’t waste hours trying to find it.

Make it visual

Many students are visual learners which means just reading something over and over again isn’t going to cut it. Visual learners need sights, images and visual concepts to make things stick. Organising your material into charts, maps and diagrams.

Vary the way you study

Not everyone is a visual learner, there are plenty of other study methods out there that may be more suitable to you. You might be someone that learns by doing things; in that case record yourself reading out your notes and listen to it over again. If you’re someone who remembers song lyrics easily, check to see if there are relevant podcasts available of your course.

Get somebody to test you

Asking someone to test you is a productive break from the dreary monotonous studying routine. This will also allow you to see where you’re strengths lie and what sections you need to re-visit. Also, knowing that in an hour your housemate is coming down to test you may spur you on when you’re studying.

Group study

Forming a study group will make you feel less alone when you’re studying. Make sure everyone in the group is on the same page; braggers, slackers, and super-stressed people won’t make you feel any better.

Find old exam papers

Using a past paper, undertake a mock exam under exam conditions. This will help you practice writing under time constraints. Past papers will help you get an idea of the topics and questions that are likely to come up and reduce any nasty surprises on exam day.

Don’t study in bed

Your bed is for sleeping and watching repeats of Come Dine With Me – your brain won’t be switched to knowledge in-take gear if you study under your duvet.

Take breaks

Break up your revision schedule with short breaks. A good study break consists of an activity that allows you to take your studying. Don’t go on Facebook or watch the Hollyoaks Omnibus, or any other activity that will suck you in a procrastination warp though – keep it short.

Reward yourself

It can’t be all about study, study, study. If you have achieved a study goal, or mastered a particular tricky bit of material – do reward yourself with something you like doing.  Quick game of Fifa, a new coat of nail polish or a chat with a mate.

Change up what you’re studying

Don’t stick to one topic; instead study a bunch of different material in one sitting. This technique will make sure your brain doesn’t go into auto-pilot.

Learn the general concepts first

Don’t worry about learning the details until you have gotten the hang of the main ideas. If you don’t actually understand what you’re studying, it doesn’t stick.

Explain it to a five-year-old

Ask a friend to pretend they’re five years old (bear with us here…) and try to explain what you are studying to them. This means you are going to have to simplify what you are learning and break it down, which will ultimately help you out too.

Avoid cramming, but revisit your notes before an exam

We all know cramming is a no-go. You stress yourself out and the material quickly exits your brain. However, calmly revisiting key notes and flash cards will allow you to feel prepared. Everything will be fresh in your mind when you take the exam.

Feed your brain with water, sleep and healthy foods

Don’t let a diet of energy drinks, chocolate bars and sugary tea ruin all that hard work you’ve done. You want your brain to be in optimal condition for all that information to sink in. Stay hydrated and don’t let your body crash. Keep your blood sugar up with healthy snacks like nuts, raisins, bananas and slow releasing energy foods like oats and apples.

Find your perfect ‘study time’

Some people are ready to go from the movement they wake up, whilst others remember the most at around 3am in a silent library. Experiment with different times so you can figure out what suits you.

Lastly, stay positive

Be confident and don’t let your nerves get the better of you. If you feel stressed, make sure you relax, take some deep breaths or do some exercise.

19 things i learned at the age of 19:

1. if he broke you, he won’t be the one to fix you

2. people are here one day and gone the next, appreciate them to the fullest

3. make sure he know how you feel about him

4. make sure he knows when he’s hurt you

5. gather the courage to walk away from things and people that hurt you

6. but only if the hurt surpasses the love and happiness

7. you are not your mistakes, don’t let anyone ever tell you otherwise
 8. if you mess up, get up and fight even harder because nothing worth attaining is easy

9. put on your favorite pair of jeans, your cutest sneakers, your warmest sweater and go out into the rain

10. be kind to everyone, yes everyone, until they give you a reason not to be, then be as cruel as you’d like

11. what people say when they’re angry may seem as though it is the most painful thing you’ve felt, but i promise you, it hurts them more than it does you once it has come out of their mouths

12. even when it feels like the whole world is against you and there is nothing left to fight for, fight for yourself

13. you may think that you’ve gotten your whole life figured out, but i promise you, you will change your mind so many times and that’s okay, life is about taking different paths until you get to your destination

14. even if you have no idea what you want to do with your life, get up in the morning and do something anyway because the more places you go and the more of life you see, the more you’ll love life

15. wake up with a smile on your face, even if it’s forced; one day, i promise you, it won’t be

16. just because you cry, it doesn’t make you weak, it makes you human; so let the tears fall and pick yourself up and don’t cry for the same reason again

17. tell your little sister you love her, she sees the pain you’re in and she hurts just as much as you; let her know she’s appreciated
 18. your mom has been through so much, and sometimes it gets to be too much for her and all she can do is let it out; sometimes she’ll release it on you, that doesn’t mean she loves you any less

19. and lastly, when you find comfort in a boy with the softest brown eyes, remember that he is dreamy and he is exactly what you need at that moment, but you cannot make him your home because he isn’t vacant

[Summary: Reid and reader are at a crossroads in their relationship, and have a huge fight. After some angst, fluff ensues.

AN: This is my first proper piece of fan fic. Do leave feedback. @reiding-and-writing, I hope you read this. <3

“I don’t know why the hell I even try with you anymore.”

“You don’t mean that, Spencer. Where did that even come from?”

“Well, news flash, Y/N. That’s all I’ve been thinking of, since the last time I asked you to marry me. I’m not surprised you haven’t noticed. Just like how you fail to notice my heart breaking a little each time I bring up marriage and you shoot it down!”, Spencer wheezes a little as he finishes his rant.

His words feel like they’re being carved into your skin. What began as a small disagreement had now blown into an argument you had no come back to.

He has a point, you admit to yourself. Why did he have to hang around? Every time he brought up the topic of marriage, you refused. You told him you did not believe in the institution. You had seen your parents’ marriage crumble, had been the collateral damage to the battles they waged inside your broken family. You were certain marriages were destined to doom.

“Well, do you have nothing to say?!”, Spencer’s voice shakes you out of your stupor.

You open your mouth to respond, and realize telling him how much you loved him would not cut it. He had been through a lot last year, and with Diana’s situation worsening every day, he was constantly on edge.

The phone rang suddenly, scaring you for a second, and distracting Spencer from his anger and resentment. He takes a deep breath and answers the phone, and you gather that there is a case somewhere. He finishes his call, and looks at you.

“Just in time, eh, Y/N? Saved by the bell, quite literally. Well, you know what, you don’t have to respond right now. I doubt you even have a response. I will be gone for at least three days, so how about you think long and hard about this? When I come back, do let me know what you want to do with ‘us’. Whether you even really want an ‘us’, anymore.”

He turns and walks into your bedroom, to gather his things, leaving you to your gloom.

As he walks out of the apartment, you call out to him. “Spence. I love you.”

He must have heard the urgency in your voice, as he turns and faces you. “I love you too, Y/N. I do. But I am tired, and I don’t want to go on like this. I’ll see you soon.”

He shuts the door gently, and the kindness in that gesture makes your heart ache. You walk into your room, feeling certain that it was now or never. The truth is, you had noticed Spencer’s pain. You had noticed the loneliness he was carrying with himself. You would go to any end, pay any price, to change it. And you knew what you had to do.

You had to put your plan into motion. You grab a change of clothes, your phone charger, car keys, and wallet, and walk out of the home you shared with Spencer.

Three days later.

As he walks into the apartment he shared with Y/N, Spencer senses something is awry. It was too quiet, too dark. “Y/N, are you home?,” he calls out.

Even as he asks, he knows no one is home. Spencer feels a sense of worry trickle through his body, as the events that took place three days ago flash into his mind. .

Fear sits heavy at the bottom of his stomach as he dials Y/N’s number. Where was she? Normally she would have been home by this hour. He notices her overnight bag is gone. She wouldn’t skip a work day without good reason.

“Hello, this is Y/N L/N, and I cannot come to the phone right now. Please leave a message, and I will call you back when I can. Thank you!”

Y/N’s chirpy voicemail greeting sends a fresh jolt of guilt through him.

“Y/N, I just got back from the case. Please call me as soon as you get this? I’m sorry we left things that way on Friday. Please, just call me? I love you.”

Spencer ends the call, wondering whether he should call Y/N’s work place or Garcia. Garcia was one of her closest friends, and she would have spoken to Y/N over the weekend. Even if she hadn’t, she probably would help him track Y/N’s phone.

Garcia picked up on the second ring, like she had known he would call.

“Garcia! Have you spoken to Y/N?”

“Oh hello to you too, pretty boy. Why are you asking me about Y/N?”

“Well…”, Spence stuttered a little, “.. we might have had a fight on Friday evening, just before we were called on to the case.”

“Uh huh. And?”

“And, erm.. I might have said some things I didn’t exactly mean. Well things I wanted to talk to her about anyway, but I shouldn’t have done so in an angry outburst. The point is, she isn’t home, she isn’t picking up her phone, and I haven’t spoken to her in the last three days. Her bag is missing, and it doesn’t look like anybody’s been home for the last few days..” He was beginning to ramble.

“"Ooookaay boy wonder. I hear you. Listen, I might have an idea of where she might be. But I cannot tell you. It is something you need to hear from her.”

Spencer grips the phone tight as he processes what Penelope just said. “You know where she is? Is she okay? Pen, ask her to come home. Or pick up the phone.”

“Spencer, you need to trust me, and you need to trust Y/N. She should be back home today. Talk to her yourself, alright?”

a/n: What happens when you find yourself falling in love with someone nearly 5 years younger than you? How can it even be dealt with when your lives revolve around your image and career? It can’t be, because it just happens whether the people around you want it to or not. Love isn’t something that can be controlled.

It was 9:00 pm on a Tuesday as all nine of us crowded in the living room to watch a movie. The look of exhaustion from a day long practice was evident on our faces as we stared at the TV. I found myself craving some alone time as I was wedged between Kookie and Yoongi on the couch, Jimin between my legs on the floor and Tae laying on his thigh in front of Yoongi. The rest of the group was scattered along the sectional to my left, lounging lifelessly.

My eyes wandered from the screen, falling on Namjoon and Jamie who were clearly taking advantage of the rest of us completely fazing out. Letting out a quiet chuckle, I nudged Yoongi with my elbow, nodding my head in their direction. A snicker left his naturally pouty lips as he bumped Tae with his foot, pointing his thumb their way, knowing full well he’d call them out. He quickly shot up, turning to them and shouting,
