“Over the last few years I have been collecting tattoos drawn by Kim. I love her work and her deck is so beautiful. But it wasn’t until today that I decided to submit the pictures of my tattoos to be seen.
My tarot journey began when I was 10 years old. I was not raised with religion, or church, or any reformed idea of the great unknown (or wild unknown, I should say, haha). My whole life I had heard that my aunt was a witch but I had never confirmed it. However once under the care of a pagan nanny, I began to question, and I began to study. It became quickly obvious that I believed in a pagan faith, of which I was not sure. But I knew that the fairies, spirits, souls, and voices unheard by others were real, and were listening. When I told my mother that I wanted to learn to read tarot, she feared for me because she did not want me to open a door I could not close…that I was too young to understand the forces of nature that cannot be controlled. But she let me, because as I was soon to find out, her mother had the same gifts and connection with the elements that I had.
Ever since my journey began, I have always returned to various decks but never connected with one in particular until I found The Wild Unknown a few years back. To this day it is the only deck I use, and I draw from it every day.
I love the 4 tattoos I have so far drawn by Kim, two of which are cards for myself and my journey, one her suits, and one being her drawing of Aries, the sign of the two most important people in my life. I have one more planned, but that comes with its own story, which I will share with you one day!
