Hey... I don't know if you can help me with this, but ... When I was a senior in HS I dated a boy whose family had immigrated from Iraq. Once, his mother told me that she had been named after a famous princess who had two sons: Ninef and Ninos; and had always planned on naming her own sons the same in memory of her namesake (she did :). I've lost track of Ninef and his family over the years and cannot, for the life of me, remember the princess' name/story. Does this ring a bell?

Unfortunately not! Closest I can come up with is Ninus, ostensible founder of Nineveh and husband (in some versions son) of Semiramis. Nobody named Ninef is mentioned, but the name is so close to “Nineveh” that maybe there’s some relation there? Sorry, that’s all I got. Anyone have better insight?
