Week 12: Spring Time - Outdoor Photography

Nothing says spring like a honey bee with a full corbicula! 

The pollen basket or corbicula (plural corbiculae) is part of the tibia on the hind legs of certain species of bees. They use the structure in harvesting pollen and returning it to the nest or hive. Other species of bee have scopae instead. - Wikipedia

Nikon D7100, Micro Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 lens, 1/250th, f/10, ISO 100

Image captured 3/19 in our front yard.  Took a bunch of shots of this guy sitting on and flying around this flower.  Set the lens to continuous autofocus, tried my best to follow him around and hoped for the best.  The lighting wasn’t the best…harsh overhead sunlight.
