Astigmatismo - Nicolai Troshinsky // 2013

a beautiful stop-motion film about feeling lost and struggling to see things clearly.

astigmatismo is highly collaborative and is so full of amazing drawings and content that it would be a shame to watch it only once. i highly recommend also viewing the making of video - the process for this piece is incredible.

you can support the artist by buying an HD download of astigmatismo for only €3.00!

be advised that both astigmatismo and the making of video have flashing imagery/eye strain.

Nicolai Troshinsky’s “Astigmatismo” is not only a georgeous animated short film, but also a reminder that there’s still a lot to be done in animation.

I was so inspired by his work that I decided to donate. (It’s really just pre-purchasing his movie and some postcards to support him finishing the project - less than $20!)

If you feel so inclined, you can donate on his website, he’s definitely a worthy cause!
