The Problem With Disney Animation :0!

So all of you guys know that I am a huge fan of Disney.

They have made so many great films, both animated and live action!

There movies have been, mostly, critical and financial successes.

And I love most of their movies!

But not everything is perfect.

There are always gonna be problems, no movie is perfect.

And Disney, while a great movie studio, will always have problems.

Here is the biggest problem with Disney Animation:

What I mean by that is that when Disney Animation is making a new movie, they always hire the same directors to work on said movie.

I just feel like that’s really unfair!

Because they’re other creative people out there who dream of making an animated movie for Disney!

While the recent Disney films are great, I just got this feeling that they all feel the same.

Like I can’t tell them apart.

I want up-and-coming and A-List directors to make these movies, so not only they can bring their style to the table, but to see brand new stories up on the big screen!

It’ll be something grand and innovative!

But Disney animation seems to not be doing that at this point, and it just angers me a little that they’re doing that!

Pixar has been hiring some of the same people who directed their movies before.

But they’re hiring people from their animation department that haven’t directed a movie before, so there’s the possibility of having a fresh director making a movie that might feel and look different!

Pixar also has some of the same producers every now and then, while also adding new ones!

Dreamworks is also doing this!

Edgar Wright, who is well known for his fast paced comedies, is hired to direct an animated movie for this company called, “Shadows”!

Also, Carlos Saldanha, who directed “Ice Age” and “Rio” is making a live action/CGI Hybrid movie about monsters and Cryptozoology!

These directors are being allowed to work on other projects!

Disney, let your directors go! Let them try something else! Hire some new people!

Here are some ideas that I have for up-and-coming and A-List directors that can make Disney animated movies!

Hire Lauren Faust of “MLP” to direct an epic fantasy adventure!

Hire Jorge R. Gutierrez of “The Book of Life” to direct a movie about romance!

Hire Damien Chazelle of “Whiplash” and “La La Land” to direct a movie about a relationship between two people you don’t respect to be together!

And even hire Max Landis, writer of “Chronicle” and “American Ultra”, to write and direct an original movie about anything! He’s very passionate about movies, his work, and has worked on movies, television, and comics!

Star Wars and Marvel are hiring A-Listers and up-and-comers!

Disney can balace new directors and veteran directors!

Think of this quote by Howard Schultz, founder of Starbucks.

“Hiring people is an art, not a science, and resumes can’t tell you whether someone will fit into a company’s culture.”

                                                               -Howard Schultz

That is my take.

DC's New 52 Power Variants

Been making these off and on so I figured I’d put them all in one big post

“Accidents”. Heroes and villains who gained their powers through science accidents or botched science experiments.

Examples: The Flash, Killer Frost, Mister Freeze, Firestorm, Reverse Flash, The Rogues

“Aliens”. Heroes and villains whose power is derived directly from their extra terrestrial DNA.

Examples: Superman, Doomsday, Supergirl, Superboy, Zod, Faora, Martian Manhunter, Hawkman, Starfire, Powergirl, Val Zod

“Angels”. Heroes whose abilities come from the intervention of a benevolent higher power.

Examples: The Phantom Stranger, Deadman, The Spectre, Zuriel, Flash (Earth-2)

“Cyborgs”. Heroes and villains whose organic bodies have been merged or completely replaced with technology.

Examples: Cyborg, Red Tornado (Earth-2), OMAC, The Engineer, Metallo

“Demons”. Heroes and villains whose demonic heritage give them their abilities.

Examples: Raven, Trigon, Klarion, Blue Devil, Etrigan, Lucifer, Merlin/Adam One

“Elementals”. Heroes and villains who are powered by the natural forces of the planet (The Red, The Green, The Rot, etc.)

Examples: Swamp Thing, Poison Ivy, Green Lantern (Earth-2), Black Orchid, Animal Man, Vixen, Beast Boy, Abby Arcane, Solomon Grundy (Earth-2)

“Magicians”. Heroes and villains whose ability comes from the manipulation of magical forces.

Examples: Zatana, John Constantine, Madame Xanadu, Shazam, Pandora, Felix Faust, Nick Necro

“Myths”. Heroes and villains who are members of various mythological races.

Examples: Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Mera, Equinox, Amethyst, Lennox, Fury

“Tin-cans”. Heroes and villains who are normal humans protected by an exoskeleton of power armor.

Examples: Lex Luthor, Steel, Blue Beetle, Black Manta

“Treasure hunters”. Heroes and villains whose abilities rely on, or were given by, magical relics.

Examples: Katana, Star Girl, Dr. Fate, Wonder Girl, Hawkgirl (Earth-2), Cheetah

I didn’t include Batman or his bat family because they don’t have any powers. Same with villains like Harley Quinn. I also didn’t include any characters with the “meta-gene” (Black Canary etc.) because there are too many of them.
