Happy Valentine's Day
That crisp February day when: florists get dozens upon dozens of orders for a “Dozen Red Roses”, the taste of chocolate covered strawberries is on everyone’s mind, champagne is sparkling away in tall flutes and city dwellers are either coupled walking hand-in-hand to candlelight dinners or hosting sarcastically humorous “anti-love” parties. That day is none other than Valentine’s Day!
I love a festive holiday, and as many of you know I love to get dressed up accordingly.
My favorite color is definitely red and so the occasion calls for a Dress-to-Impress ensemble and a charming companion to accompany me to a Valentine’s Day evening. I called upon my good friend to join me in the V-Day festivities so we could brave the love struck crowd together.
My friend arrived to find me pondering over the various jewelry options I can pair with my drop-dead gorgeous MADISON JAMES mermaid gown in the most vivid Lipstick red color. I wanted to highlight the prominent Sweetheart neckline - so I first opted for the
“Cleopatra Gold Tassel Necklace” from my OLGA PARKERS JEWELRY collection. After careful evaluation in the mirror and some very helpful advice from my friend - I decided that the “Gothic Neckcollar” in Hematite Gunmetal would be best. I paired it with my newest “Wrap Bead Bracelets” and stackable “Black Widow Rings”.
The strapless MADISON JAMES gown was so stunningly exuberant with a pronounced mermaid silhouette, it conveyed elegance and utter chic simplicity. I especially admired the beaded waist detail which lead to a full floor length skirt. All I can think of was the iconic film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and yes I felt ever-so-slightly like a modern day Audrey Hepburn.
The Valentine’s Day festivities awaited and so with the sun setting over the skyscraper horizon of New York and we were off to embrace the Valentine’s Day evening.
After all, Valentine’s Day is about appreciating love of all kinds, so spend the evening with your Bae or great friends! Dress up in your finest and find some champagne with strawberries to savor.
XOXO, Olga Parkers
