“My style is inspired by Africa. I buy clothing from designers in my community. I like unique styles that are not mass produced. I do buy from major stores and mix them with what’s in my wardrobe. I wear clothes that are comfortable. I don’t buy my clothes based on what’s in or out.”

“I’m wearing a pair of jeans I sewed together and a mesh shirt under a Keith Haring t-shirt. I’m a really sentimental taurus so I’m materialistic and I never get rid of clothes. I’ve been wearing the same articles for years and when they rip or I don’t like them anymore I make something new out of them. I will be miserable if I have to wear something that doesn’t feel good. Often I wear loose clothing and a lot of my dad’s old jeans that are way too big on me.”

Meagan: “My style is inspired by pop art, the late 70s West Coast punk scene, women in rock including Poison Ivy of The Cramps, Exene Cervanka of the band X, Joan Jett and always Elvira. Love what’s happening in Korean fashion right now.”

Amanda: “I am inspired by 80s glam rock, 90s fashion’s use of color blocking, anything with fringe and gem stones that sparkle. I draw influence from rock icon Courtney Love and comedy icon Phyllis Diller. Really love what Jeremy Scott is doing.”
