Dolphins have names for each other. Cats bring you dead things because they think you're a crappy cat that can't hunt. When rabbits get excited and jump around, it's called a binky. Newborn giant pandas are about the size of a stick of butter.

aa! binky! how cute

Year of the panda? Seven twins and 20 cubs

This year can be proudly named the year of the panda to Chinese people. There have been 20 panda cubs born so far, of which 7 are twins, according to the China Giant Panda Protection and Research Centre.

It is the first time there has been 7 panda twins, and all of them have been survived, said a staff member.

It is reported that there are still four or five pregnant pandas awaiting delivery.

On August 19 this year, a 5-year-old brown-and-white giant panda was presented to the public first time. Two days later, several panda newborns also made their debut in Sichuan Province, where the reproduction base and preserves are located.

Since the data was made public, netizens began a hot discussion on Sina Weibo.

“It is believed that pandas can become pets after 10 decades,” posted @Chengshidewulai_pen.

“I dream of becoming a panda breeder,” said @Ningmenglongzhangjinghuan.

“They are more than cute,” commented @Zhacaigunianger.

Let's talk about 'The Dodo'

What is The Dodo?

“At The Dodo, we’re building a digital brand for everyone who loves animals and cares about their wellbeing. Our goal is to serve up emotionally and visually compelling, highly sharable animal-related stories and videos to as many people as possible to help make caring about animals a viral cause. We want our readers to fall in love with animals, have fun and be entertained while they’re doing it, and feel empowered to help animals in need. The Dodo is for everyone who loves animals and wants to spread that love and make the world a better place for them.”

If I see one more post reblogged on here bitching about the inconsistency of The Dodo…the website is a community of different authors, anyone can write an article about animals and publish it on the Dodo’s website - therefore, you will see stories that are PETA-brand, and then you will see stories about a newborn panda in a zoo. The same person didn’t write both articles. It’s a community about animals, not an anti captivity, anti zoo, anti human animal companionship website. It is also not a “source” and you should double check that the article is true before assuming that it is. They probably share a variety of these articles on their Facebook to appeal to a mass audience. Now please shut the fuck up about The Dodo.
