here’s my tank! my boss said it was like I had a painting in the MFA. if anyone ever goes to the New England Aquarium, it’s the tank that says it has surinam toads in it (it doesn’t anymore). the cichlids in it are ivanacara adoketa. the two in the front are spawning, although we’ve never had the fry survive. It’s also got cardinal tetras, dwarf pencilfish, otos, and a bristlenose. It’s one of two tanks in the gallery with pressurized CO2, the other being the electric eel tank. Everything in this tank is native to Rio Negro.

A New England Aquarium Volunteer created a parody of Disney’s “Let It Go” in an effort to raise money for the institution’s Boston Marathon Team and it’s easily the greatest thing on the internet right now!
