Nightly Idea #15

[Climbing generations]

A platforming rogue-like where you play as a climber trying to scale a great mountain. Players will be able to leave sign posts on the floor to record which parts of the mountain they explored for the next generation to come.

Mechanics: WASD to move, Space to use an equipped item. Items such as ropes and ice picks can be used for extra climbing mechanics.

Each mountain will be proc-generated and can range from anywhere between 5 to 30 minutes of gameplay. When players die they have to start from the bottom with new climbers and whatever the earlier climber left behind on the mountain; i.e. sign posts or supplies. Climbers can climb down if they decide to and have enough resources.
