So let me begin by saying this: I hate heights, I hate elevators. They make me dizzy, sick, nauseas, and anxious.
Which brings me to my next statement: That fear doesn’t work in China. It is filled with skyscrapers stacked upon skyscrapers stacked upon skyscrapers. There is no room for anything else.
My apartment, thankfully, is ONLY 13 stories up (I live in a building of 35). Crazy to believe that a week ago I was having a panic attack at the thought of my apartment being 7 stories up.
China is forcing me to overcome fears and to find out that really, it’s not that bad! In fact there are some pretty darn amazing views. Amazing what happens when you are forced out of your comfort zone.
As AWOLNATION puts it “never let your fear decide your fate.”
