never not singing

So at my school, we have this little tribute video thing for the graduating seniors on their last day. Normally it’s cute and sweet and there’s a bunch of clips of them giving inspirational advice or acting all silly. Real cute.

Of course, there’s also a song that plays in the background. Normally a really popular song that everybody knows. Last year, it was Happy, this year I expected something like Uptown Funk or whatever, but no. I was so wrong.

This year, for the whole entire school to see, after teachers gave their nice farewell’s through the TV monitors, the screen went black. We waited for the rest of the video to play, and then we heard him. Rick Astley’s voice singing Never Gonna Give You Up. We were mass Rickrolled

Doctor Awesome’s Sing Along Blog

My friend artisticallyreadyandenthused came up with this crossover a year or two back.  We dug it out of her sketchbooks and she gave me permission to expand on it.  I’m obsessed.  you guys might start seeing a lot of this.

There are a few characters still up in the air but the basics are Gilbert at Benny, Matthew as Penny, And Alfred as Captain Hammer.  So there would be PruCan and AmeCan.  As much as I love America he’s gotta be the antagonist on this one because Captain Hammer’s hero song is too perfect for him.

HEY. So I know it’s been a while so to make up for it, have the very first collab for this channel ft. one of my bestie buddies Jared (say hi) and my BRAND NEW GUITAR WHATT. Expect a lot more input from here on out, I have some fancy pants new equipment so recording is a lot easier (thanks to Laura because she’s an angel sent from on high). We decided to cover this Taylor Swift song considering she is an absolutely babe. Hope you enjoy!

Watching that Coca Cola thing, I feel bad for H&L as they were never allowed to sing right next to each other during all 4 of the songs they performed, despite them having to change everyone's around for each song. Everyone moved but people made sure they weren't standing next to each other. I hope this type of bullshit ends soon. These two dudes have been through enough of this shit. It's just not right anymore.

I think things are definitely looser now than they were in 2013 those were really horrible times when they couldn’t even look at each other. We’ve slowly been getting more interactions. I also think this was filmed just as zayn left for London so I don’t think they fixed the ot4 arrangements yet. They’ve been standing next to each other a lot now during the first few songs of OTRA as well as in the BBMAs :)

Patreon Request: Mario and Waluigi in Wicked’s Popular

I almost never take singing requests for Patreon (or in general, really, because I’m no singer), but dogss is a friend, so I thought alright let’s try.  Still, picking a technically difficult Kristin Chenoweth-ass song with a voice way above my normal singing octave, that’s a pretty TALL-ASS ORDER.

slam poetry be like

i let my curves touch the mountain tops *rubs hand up other arm*

and my inner child screams for a father that was never there

*starts singing* daddy please carve my dreamssss and follow the tracesssss of my fingers like the sand on pinebrook beach when flocks of birds chatter in unison

*stomps feet and becomes silent and looks down*

*furiously looks to the sky after 5 seconds*

the concrete never spoke more truth than when icicles wept onto its cracks

but people *points left hard* and man *points right hard* will become one

*curls into a ball and harmonizes* baRRRRAcAWWWW bARAcAWWWWww

they weep not for me, but for those with no tongues to speak

why was mark upset? if you dont mind answering

I think Mark is actually really hard on himself because as he’s always said, he had to learn everything from the beginning and from scratch, and never had any practise doing singing, rapping, dancing, or acting. The hardest thing about training for him was that he constantly compared himself to people who he felt were more talented than he was, especially in a company such as JYP which takes in hundreds of trainees from all different kinds of backgrounds.

So you can tell from the video of GOT7 at the 2015 Dream Concert (x) that at 6:50, Mark takes his earpiece out angrily and JB pats him on the shoulder because he’s frustrated at how the performance turned out. This is because the background music has all of a sudden sped up, the mics are not working (this happened to JB as well) and he can’t keep up with the rap since his audio equipment isn’t even functioning properly. Mark honestly handled it very professionally, as did all of the boys, considering that there were many difficulties that they could not prevent. However, it was obvious that Mark felt s if he had let people down because he hadn’t been able to give his best performance, and because this in part mostly happened to him and not the other members.

That rap is what represents Mark in the song - that’s his solo, his time to shine, where he gets to show how hard he’s worked and how many hours that he’s put into memorizing that rap, perfecting it, and performing it. And to have something that you can’t control stop you from doing your best - it’s frustrating because that affects not only you, but it also reflects the entire group. And so Mark, as always, took on that pressure by blaming himself and therefore you can tell that he got upset because he felt like he let his team and his fans down, even though he STILL remembered to wave to the fans at the end of the performance and tried to smile.

I’m so thankful and happy that everyone in GOT7 is so supportive - JB patting him is the sweetest thing because everyone understood the difficulties of working with that equipment during that performance (not to mention that god-awful cameraman who didn’t even shoot Mark’s flips???? Especially the slow-motion one???) It makes me so happy to see the fans not blame them for their mistakes, but rather realize just how hard it was for them. I hope that everyone realizes that despite the fact that they’re trained to go on stage, things still happen, but GOT7 really works their hardest to put on the greatest performance that they can. And seeing how upset Mark was just shows us how sincere and passionate Mark is about his flipping, his rapping, and being an entertainer - something that he’d never even thought of becoming while he was just a regular high school student in LA.

Let’s not stay angry about what happened at the concert. Instead, I see this event as evidence of how strong the brotherhood within GOT7 is, and how much Mark has grown as a member of the group. From a boy who didn’t know what he wanted to do while he was in high school, to someone who is so determined and hardworking and tries his best in everything, who blames himself the most whenever something bad occurs - I really hope this helps other people to see not just GOT7′s accidents during live performances, but how it’s not only their talents, but the way they approach their work and their fans, that make them truly, truly special and one of a kind.

everyday i see so many people complaining about how they’ve been to (insert large number of paramore shows here) and hayley williams has never picked them to sing for misery business.

  1. there are literally thousands of people in the same crowd as you DYING to get on stage. the chances of her picking you to go up with her are so so so slim, especially if you are not at the front (you need to be able to get up there quick smart)
  2. it doesn’t matter if you’ve seen paramore 1700 times, have been a fan of them for 50 years or if you know everything about them including hayley’s second cousin’s dog’s name. EVERYONE at the show is equal and everyone deserves to be on stage.
  3. imagine the insane amount of pressure this puts on hayley every night?? knowing that she is going to make someone so happy by bringing them up but bum out some people who are going to give her backlash for it?? she can’t choose everyone!!
  4. be happy in the first place that paramore is a band who like to give back to their fans by bringing someone on stage in the first place.

tl;dr: stop being a whiny asshole about hayley willams not bringing you up on stage

((Hiya everybody! So awhile ago (like over a month ago) I reblogged a thingie that said if I got a certain amount of ‘sings’ mun would sing–well I got the right amount. So here is the long overdue video of mun singing an italian song called Danza Danza. I was gonna do it when my mic was finally fixed, but I decided it’s been far too long so you’ll have to endure phone quality ^^;;; anyway I really hope your ears are okay after that and happy munday! Also I never realized how many dumb faces I make when I sing omg))

dear thirteen year old self,

1. he doesn’t love you (and that’s okay).

2. the braces will be worth it one day.

3. math doesn’t get any easier. however, life is more than numbers. when you look at the sky, try not to count. trace constellations instead.

4. you’re never too old to sing along to the high school musical soundtrack.

5. part your hair on the side from now on. it frames your face better.

6. you’re not as mature as you think you are. give yourself space to grow.

7. your mother is the strongest woman you will ever meet. she will recover. hair grows back. her own body hasn’t given up on her. you shouldn’t either.

8. always wear sunscreen.

9. you’re too young to think about college. there’s plenty of time for that in the future.

10. keep writing.

love, mae

Oh, holy hell!
