It straight up hurts my soul that there are people out there blind to this woman's beauty.

So she has gray hair.   So fucking what.  Most of us out there are going to have it someday, and hell.  Some won’t even make it out of their 20’s without it.

Tell me something.  Does the color of your hair define who you are as a person?  Because it absolutely shouldn’t.  I’m sorry, but the very idea that it would is bullshit.

Melissa McBride, from all accounts, is a wonderfully genuine person.  She’s well loved by her peers, and she has this amazing talent that allows her to speak a thousand and one words without saying a word.  She’s creative and kind and a precious gift to The Walking Dead fandom.  Her portrayal of Carol Peletier has transcended genres and made people that would normally shun shows like TWD take notice.

And oh, yeah.  She has gray hair.

But you know what else she has?

A special sort of chemistry with her costar Norman Reedus.  A sparkly kind of something that is pretty rare on television because in the absence of unambiguous evidence of the true nature of their characters’ love (and it’s love, dammit…fight me), she’s drawn you in.  Admit it.  Even if you balk against the very idea of romantic love between Carol and Daryl, you cannot deny they are special to each other.

And why shouldn’t they love each other like that?

Oh, I forgot.  It’s the gray hair.  That somehow renders a person a used up has-been around these parts.  That negates any desire to have a loving emotional and yes, sexual connection with the person they are closest to in the entire post-Apocalyptic world.

Really people?

Melissa McBride and her character are fucking gorgeous, and you know why?  It comes from within.  Don’t get me wrong.  Both of them rock the gray hair like nobody’s business–I can only hope I do the same one day, and thanks to MMB, I’m not so afraid of it anymore, but even if they didn’t, I’d still look up to them for so many reasons that I won’t go into right now.

I’m not even going to address the absurdity that she’s somehow not a good match for Norman’s Daryl because she has gray hair and therefore, she must be old.  They’re literally the most age-appropriate couple in theory on the entire show besides maybe Carl and Enid.  They’re contemporaries.  And you know what? They look absolutely gorgeous together, but that’s not even the best part.  Their chemistry is a thing of beauty, and Carol’s and Daryl’s hearts?  Know each other.  They recognize each hard-earned beat.

So don’t come at me again with this ageism fuckery.  Because it makes me sad that the people in my fandom can be so shallow, for them and for this adorable lady who deserves nothing of this.

Look at her.

Stepping off my soapbox now.  I can’t take the credit for the gifs of this lovely human.  That goes to the gif-makers.  I hope you don’t mind my borrowing them.

Nellie's radio crackled to life, emitting a harsh belch. "I-I need you to come to chartreuse... at the bar... there's an-an emergency. No time to- *burp* oh god, no time to explain. I need your uh... your...uhhhhhh ass... here... over."

Nellie did her best to resist the urge of asking so many questions, such as who this was and what’s even happening but alas, an emergency is an emergency. There’s no arguing when entering situations like this is in the job memo, probably.

“…Got it. Over.”

And thus, with a hastened pace, Nellie would reach the Chartreuse bar in no time.

Nell Gwynne was born on this day in history (02.02.1650 - 14.11.1687)

Eleanor Gwynn, better known by the familiar name of Nell, was, at her first setting out in the world, a plebeian of the lowest rank, and sold oranges in the playhouse. Nature seems to have qualified her for the theatre. Her person, though below the middle size, was well turned; she had a good natural air, and a sprightliness that promised every thing in comedy. She was instructed by Hart and Lacy who were both actors of eminence; and, in a short time, she became eminent herself in the same profession. She acted the most spirited and fantastic parts, and spoke a prologue or epilogue with admirable address. The pert and vivacious prattle of the orange-wench, was, by degrees, refined into such wit as could please Charles II. Indeed it was sometimes carried to extravagance: but even her highest flights were so natural, that they rather provoked laughter than excited disgust. She is said to have been kept by lord Dorset, before she was retained by the king, and to have been introduced to the latter, by the duke of Buckingham, with a view of supplanting the dutchess of Cleveland. Nell ,who knew how to mimic every thing ridiculous about the court, presently ingratiated herself with her merry sovereign, and retained a considerable place in his affection to the time of his death.—She continued to hang on her cloaths with her usual negligence when she was the king’s mistress: but whatever she did became her. Ob. 1687.
—A Biographical History of England. J. Granger, 1775.

‘Cinder Nelly’, people called her, after Cinderella, and in the later, richer years of her life she did indeed purchase herself a coach of glass.

Nell’s particular talent was comedy. She had to respond to gibes and catcalls from the rowdy Restoration crowds.  But she effortlessly put down the hecklers with her rapier wit: ‘pretty, witty Nell’ was how man-about-town Samuel Pepys described her. She also excelled in the ‘breeches parts’, in which females played women disguised as men. This was partly to show off their legs in trousers, but also to mock masculine values.

The love for Catherine Tate.

A person on twitter asked me if I could maybe write something for her friends to understand why she loves Catherine, I decided the world needs to know more reasons to love this perfect human being so I’m writing a list of 25 things/reasons to love Catherine Tate and help spread the love, hope you like!

1. Catherine is a comedian, comedians do what they do to bring a smile to our lips and brighten our day.
2. She also has a very remarkable acting career, that proves that one doesn’t have to only focus on an specific area, she is an amazing drama actress.
3. She is mother of a beautiful, healthy child that is studying her basic schooling levels. Being a parent isn’t easy and the fact that she can do it proves what an amazing human being she is.
4. She was raised only by her mother, Josephine Ford, This made her the strong woman she is today.
5. She used to suffer of obsessive-compulsive disorder when she was a child but overcame it.
6. She suffered of post-natal depression when her daughter was born but overcame it by doing what she loves the most: Acting.
7. She is the patron of the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust, which she has given charity to since 2006.
8. She suffers of panic attacks but this doesn’t prive her of doing her every day life and of acting.
9. She was and is a very shy person but she has decided that she doesn’t want this to stop her from being happy.
10. She had to do 4 attempts to get into drama school, as she didn’t get in the first 3 times, still she never gave up.
11. She is both a television and stage performer.
12. She has a beautiful voice and can do an amazing singing.
13. She reflects a lot of herself in the characters she plays, as she thinks that having a mask is unnecesary.
14. She participated on the Naked Truth for Gok Teens and her advice was: “Please don’t ever sit in your room ajd lock yourself away because you think you’re not good enough”.
15. Even with her clear fame as one of Britain’s most important comedians she still uses the public transport because she doesn’t think there has to be a line between the so said “common people” and “celebrities”.
16. She has oftenly been critizised by the “imperfection of her teeth” but she always answers that if this is how she is, this is how she stays becuase one must love one’s self with one’s flaws.
17. She sees no specific greatness in herself so the response to her work is always a surprise for her and she strongly appreciates her fans’ support.
18. Even if working on Doctor Who gave her more fame and recognition she never adresses that as the best thing she got from that job, she considers the friendship with David Tennant the greater thing she got from the experience.
19. She is a very modest and humble person.
20. She has never been recognised as the best in something, even if she has won many awards the majority of times she has just been nominated. This hasn’t stopped her from continuing and she believes that if she doesn’t win something it doesn’t matter, maybe someday she will and if not it is better the satisfaction of herself with her own work than someone else’s.
21. She is one of the most beautiful women in the world not only by heart but also by looks.
22. She is a redhead, which makes her extra special because only 2% of the world’s population has red hair.
23. She has won both comedy and drama acting awards.
24. An entire BBC programme was named after her, every single character was played by her and every single episode was scripted by her.
25. In conclussion Catherine Tate is a person that you can seek inspiration in. You can do anything with perseverance and love, do what you do for your own enjoyment, not recognition and please accept yourself as who you are, because you are beautiful. Just as her.

Have an amazing day!

The Ride is what you get when you write an honest record that truly reflects how you feel. It’s rare these days in music because everyone’s trying to sell it to radio and other people. Nelly did that like wow she didn’t care what people said this album is truly how she feels…getting to release something that is so real to who she is as a person is such a triumph. I’m absolutely in love with this album even more so than TSI 5 years ago…

anonymous asked:

how can you ship somethng so stupid as sastiel when destiel is so obvious and perfect? castiel only likes sam because of dean anyways he and dean share a profound bond

I’m not even gonna bother telling you how WRONG you are because it’s not worth it. You probably haven’t seen the show since season 4.

And I’m just gonna leave this here:

Even though sastiel is not canon, they have a good friendship, Castiel is not “nice to Sam because of Dean”. Watch the show.

She ain’t got no ill wills or nothing like that, and that’s kind of hard when you come from where we come from. You rarely come across those type of people. It’s kind of like, Taylor Swift and my granny. Who doesn’t love both of those people?
