This spell is specifically for helping one control their negative and intrusive thoughts- it won’t completely get rid of them but it will help you acquire the strength needed to deal with them.
YOU WILL NEED:
Chamomile (for protecting you and purifying your thoughts)
Rosemary (for warding off negativity)
Bathtub filled with warm water
Something to play calming music.
Fill the tub with warm water, as it’s filling undress yourself. Make sure to do so with care- if your negative thoughts revolve around your body ensure you focus on the parts you’re unhappy with.
Once the tub is filled to your liking sprinkle in the herbs- if you do not have the actual herbs incense, candles, oils, or even bubble bath will do.
Dim the lights or turn them off and light some candles. If you want you can now turn on your playlist of calming music- I personally recommend instrumentals so you don’t accidently start focusing on the words.
Get into the tub and place yourself in a comfortable position- I recommend either lying in the water or leaning against the back of the tub. Put yourself into a relaxed state and clear your mind- this may take some time. Focus on your breathing and your heartbeat.
Once you’re relaxed it’s time to begin. Place your hands on the surface of the water and close your eyes. You can either speak or think the following;
I will be safe I will be at peace Negative thoughts decay Intrusive thoughts decease
Repeat as many times as you feel necessary.
Channel all your negative energy and force it out of your fingertips and into the water. Try to get out of the tub quickly after you finish, sitting in your own negative energy can be harmful.
Drain the tub and watch the water go down. Repeat the following until the water is gone;
As this water drains, as does my unwanted thoughts.
Once the water is all gone turn on the lights/ blow out the candles as you say in a strong voice;
1. Notice when you are slipping into negative, absolutist ways of thinking where you think the worst of yourself, your life and your future.
2. Recognise that these are habitual ways of thinking. It’s what you always think when you start to feel bad.
3. Be aware of triggers. Often certain people and situations trigger painful, negative self-destructive thoughts. Try and distance yourself from these, or completely avoid them, if you possibly can.
4. Deliberately look for the counter arguments. For example, when have things been a bit better, when have you done something right, when has someone been kind and understanding?
5. Visualise positive things that make you happy, such as curling up with a book in bed, listening to your favourite music, and so on. Often changing our thinking to things that make us happy changes our negative feelings and thoughts.
6. Get into the habit of building yourself up, so you notice and affirm your successes, strengths, good intentions and positive traits.
Tip to release resistance when negative thoughts are too much.
As you know, the first way the law of attraction affects you is by assisting you in your thoughts process, and matching same feeling thoughts to the ones you’re already thinking, creating a momentum, that will then translate to the vibration you’re sending out to creation.
But sometimes, we get caught in a negative momentum, and it can lead to severe anxiety or depression, where we feel like those negative thoughts are the only things we can think. We may try hard as we can to find a subject to feel better, but because the negative momentum is so strong, we often end up turning what used to be a positive into a negative, and we feel trapped there.
Whenever that happens, when there’s too much negativity going on in your head, I suggest that you don’t try to do positive affirmations right away, and meditation can also be difficult, because even if the goal is to quiet your mind, the momentum can be so strong that being left alone with your thoughts can turn against you. Don’t get me wrong, meditation is a great tool, but it has to be practiced daily, and not just when you need it. It’s like starting practicing for a marathon the day before, it won’t do much good.
In other words, you can’t make the jump from here to there.
In those case of extreme negativity, we need to find a way to soften the resistance before even trying to get your vibration up a positive momentum. One thing that I’ve found works great for me when I’m feeling stuck in a negative loop, is remembering the following :
“Whatever I’m thinking right now, those are only opinions, not facts !”
Actually, you can make it a rule to never believe the negative thoughts to be true when you’re feeling down, they are temporary opinions, nothing more. The law of attraction is just doing its job, by matching the vibration you’re sending out, but it’s doing it in an absolute neutral manner, it doesn’t convey facts, it just brings you what you asked for vibrationally. Saying that sentence can help you take a neutral state on what you’re thinking about, and by doing that, instead of fighting the negative, you let it be there, you observe it without judging, and you decide that it doesn’t have any meaning.
During or after that, you can use other techniques, like focusing on the sensations in your body and describe how they feel physically, without associating any thoughts to the sensations. The emotions you feel and the sensations that come from it are just your inner guidance system doing its job, telling you there’s a gap between what you’ve been thinking and what’s actually true for you. So use the body scan technique to let yourself feel those things, and also find some form of gratitude for your guidance system working as intended.
The scariest moment is always just before you start. Everyday is a day you can be a better person then you were yesterday So do something today that your future self will thank you for. Don’t stay stuck with the things that ruin your day. Life is too short to be wasted on negative thinking.
Uses: This spell is to banish the evil thoughts that begin to linger in your mind. Whether because it’s affecting your day, your activities, or perhaps it’s clouding your mind and you just need it to go away for a while so you can finally breathe.
Time: Any time you choose. The sooner the better though, so you can rid of the evil thoughts before they worsen.
Paper (more than 1 sheet is optional)
Pen/Pencil/something to write (this can also work as a wand)
Wand (a pencil/pen/key can work as fine too)
A cup filled with water
A plate (any plate shall do)
Let’s Get Started: First you gather your supplies. When you’ve done so, take your cup full of water and place it in front of you onto the plate. Your plate symbolizes a small barrier or ‘bubble’ if you will, keep this in mind for later.
Now take the paper you have and use your pencil/pen/writing utensil to write what has been plaguing your mind. If you can’t write it out with readable words then you can also scribble all over the paper. If you have more than one piece of paper, you can continue this step over and over until you’ve become calm enough to continue onto the next step.
Now take the paper you have scribbled on and rip it apart. Tear it to shreds. Rip it apart until you have them in little tiny pieces and can’t do so any more. The paper represents the evil thoughts in your mind, and you ripping it apart represents yourself overcoming these thoughts. You are showing it who’s boss, but it’s not over just yet.
Take the papers and throw them into the cup of water. Let it soak in the cup while you chant these words as many times as you please:
“Get rid of this evil, which taunts my mind. Rid this negativity, which leaves me blind. Banished you be, away from my sight. For I am the one with the most powerful might!”
During your chant, or even afterwards, use your ‘wand’ to swirl the ‘evil thoughts’ starting from the outer rim of the plate towards the middle, until you start to into the cup. Be sure to stir the paper into the cup until every piece of paper is soggy and until you have believe that the evil has finally be ridden.
When you believe it is finally over, you can get rid of the cup and papers by throwing out the water and paper in the trash (if the plate is paper then you can throw it away as well). Now the last thing you can do… Is treat yourself.
You just banished the evil thoughts of your mind, do something that you enjoy! Read your favorite book, watch some tv, eat something, listen to your favorite song on repeat, draw, write, take a nap, talk to some friends online or play some video games, go outside- Whatever you like to do.
Pause the movie or tv show or homework or whatever.
If you’re in public, attempt to go somewhere private.
If you’re with people, see above.
If you can’t, then do this in your head, BUT ONLY AS A LAST RESORT.
Here’s what you’re going to do:
If you are near a mirror, go stand in front of it. If you have your phone, turn on the camera to selfie. If you have a reflective surface near you, go look at yourself. Even if it’s looking at your reflection in a spoon.
Next, look at yourself. I know that sometimes it’s really hard to do so, but just look at yourself.
You know something? That person in the mirror is amazing. That person is beautiful. That person can overcome any obstacle they want. That person can kick the ass of whatever is holding them back or down.
That person in the mirror? They have the most beautiful smile in the world. You want proof you say? Simple.
Go ahead. Do it. Look at that uniquely you smile. That smile is gorgeous.
You know something else?
So. Are. You.
If you’re standing in front of the mirror and negative thoughts keep coming into your mind, please, and say this outloud if you can (more emphasis that way) tell those negative thoughts to f*ck off. Tell them that they’re liars and that they’re vile little nasties that should be buried six feet under.
Next thing, or if you don’t want to tell off your negative thoughts, look at yourself in the mirror and compliment yourself. A good rule of thumb is two compliments for every negative thought. That way, the positive overpowers the negative, plus, if you do have a negative thought in the future and you don’t have time to or remember to replace the negative with a positive, you’ll have some in the bank.
Now, if all you did was scroll past this and/or not really believe it about yourself, go back up to the top and start over. Please.
And remember. You are so loved. You are so worth it. And you are so indescribable and uniquely you.
