Mend My Dress Press now has a Los Angeles office! You can contact us there at PO Box 50291, Los Angeles CA 90050. Thanks to Brodie Foster Hubbard (Fair Dig), who has become our ideas man, helped handle promotions, provided general support, and served as our official tour guide in the City of Angels. Neely will continue from our base in Tacoma, while Colleen is hard at work in Seattle on our next two collections and other projects on the horizon.

To kick off our first year operating in L.A., we are tabling at L.A. Zine Fest on Sunday, February 15 from 11am to 5pm at Homenetem Glendale Ararat (3347 San Fernando Rd). In partnership with brodiehubbard and Fair Dig, one of the titles we are proud to be presenting at lazinefest is Soy Not Oi 2 (Culture At All Costs Publishing), a followup to the classic vegan cookbook zine in memory of one of the original authors, Joel Olson. He was a social justice activist, political theory professor, husband and father. Net proceeds from the book will be donated to Olson’s family. The new edition of Soy Not Oi includes recipes and essays from contributors including Ian MacKaye, Isa Moskowitz, Adam Gnade, and our own Brodie Foster Hubbard.

Neely and Brodie will see you in L.A. in February! Colleen will be there in spirit, if not body. (Maybe she’ll see you in April for lbzinefest?)
