A/N: Feedback is appreciated! I’m loving writing this series for you guys and I’m glad people are enjoying it:)

On your way back to camp, you felt weightless. Just the possibility of seeing Luke after all those months made you feel lighter, as though all the trials you’d faced in your time being locked up were preparing you for that moment. When you first saw him again you weren’t sure how you’d react, maybe you’d cry or maybe you’d break down.

It was bittersweet that he was down there with you though. Because if he really had left the Ark once and for all, Stella was all alone up there. The lines of her face had blurred from how long the two of you had been apart, but if you focused you could see the outlines of her adorable little features. She was nearing her 12th birthday, just as you and Luke were both nearing your 18th and 13th. It would kill you to miss seeing her grow up, to miss seeing her juvenile features shape into a real person. Would she be okay by herself? Or would she become bitter and resentful just as you had?

It was a fair to say that you’d been hardened by the arrest, and everything leading up to and following it. While there was a time when you walked happily down the halls of the Ark, not truly understanding any of the danger or misfortunes that could fall upon you, that was dead and gone now. You’d seen how easily families could be ripped apart because you’d watch it happen to your own from such a young age. So as a result, you never wore your heart on you sleeve or really opened up about anything; hell, you were more guarded than the Sky Box. It wasn’t a weakness, it wasn’t a strength it was just how you were, and how you thought you’d always be.

Star Maps and Forests

[[Summary: Sometimes you return the favor. Sometimes you have an existential crisis in the middle of it. Luckily, Jaal is very good at handling them.

Jaal x Ryder

AO3]]

The foreign stars of the Andromeda galaxy shone just outside the Tempest’s windows. It almost seemed like a crime to set her windows to dim, but the outside light was bright and distracting enough to take away from the whole effect Wren Ryder was hoping to achieve. With one last look at planets humans had yet to set foot on, she blacked her own windows off and flicked a switch on her omni-tool, opening the comms channels and quelling her own flare of butterflies. “Jaal, you got a minute?”

His voice rang out in reply after only a few seconds. “For you, dearest, I have years. I’ll be there in a moment.” He was always so damn smooth when he wasn’t even trying, while she was just trying to speak without saying ‘uhm’ too many times, or tripping over her own tongue.

Before Jaal arrived, Ryder ran back and forth, checking a few switches and mysterious lumps of electrical equipment scattered in the corners of her room. It was as ready as it would ever be, but she couldn’t resist pushing projectors back and forth, adjusting them by inches and then pushing them right back to their original position. It was better than trying to fiddle with her own appearance, endlessly brushing her hair or pushing a strand in and out of her ponytail, wondering if it looked better or just looked like she tried too hard.

The sound of the door to her room opening made Ryder jump back from moving one last box, straightening up and trying not to look guilty. “Hey, Jaal. I made a surprise for you.” And now the descent into trying to explain herself without sounding like an idiot. “Well, SAM helped a lot. And Gil. And Liam. I was more sort of the big picture person but they let me hold a screwdriver.” Not anything involving solder though, both Gil and Liam looking at each other and agreeing that the Pathfinder really didn’t need access to anything superheated. You singe your eyebrows off just once, and suddenly people don’t trust you.

“It was my idea, anyway. Come in.” He had already moved inside the room, watching her with arms crossed and a half-smile flickering at the corners of his lips, trying not to grin outright and clearly failing.

“Okay, now lie down on the floor. Sorry, I know it’s not the most comfortable.” She should have put a pillow and some blankets down, or something, but Ryder hadn’t thought in such small details. “I have something to show you.” At least he humored her, lying down on her floor, arms and legs slightly akimbo, still watching every movement she made, still saying nothing.

Finally, Ryder joined him, also lying down on her own floor, within touching distance but not bridging that gap just yet. “Okay, so… Here we go.” Flicking a small switch within her left hand, the room around them sprang into brilliant life, a rainforest arching overhead, shafts of muted light seeming to fall hundreds of feet to caress their prone bodies in a way that should have been warm, but wasn’t quite. The sound of rain, gentle and purifying, filled the small room, broken by bird calls and amphibian croaks, a far off rumble or hoot echoing occasionally. Around them, realistic enough that it looked like it should have been possible to grasp between two fingers, a proliferation of leaves and other undergrowth showed, thick vines and fern-like plants, bromeliads that crawled up the trunks of the trees and held little jewels of frogs within. A scarlet bird flew overhead, a pinprick of light some impossible distance away, vanishing into the deep greenery improbably well.

Ryder heard Jaal take a deep breath from behind her, his hand reaching out to grasp her own tightly, one finger circling her palm again and again, tracing larger and larger and then spiraling back inward. “Ryder, what is it?” She risked looking over, watching as Jaal’s eyes tracked another bird, his free hand reaching up as if he could pluck a flower from its stalk, passing through the hologram and making it vibrate into a mass of blue pixels before reforming.

Her fingers traced the shape of a broad leaf, stopping to rest near an ant that industriously carried bits and pieces of plant matter towards some unseen nest. “This is the Amazon, from back on Earth. When we visited Havarl for the first time, it reminded me of these old nature vids I used to watch as a kid. I’ve never been, but they say it used to look like this.” All it needed was a smooth-voiced British narrator to bring her all the way back to her childhood, long hours spent on a couch with a juice box in hand, Scott watching with her, their eyes comically round.

“It’s like my star map. It’s wonderful, Ryder.” She could feel him turn to look at her finally, gripping her hand tightly, and she shook her head emphatically.

“Except you built yours all by yourself. I had a lot of help. Like, a lot. I’m not like you, Jaal. I don’t build things. Seems like most of what I do now is destroy them.” A flash of sadness threatened to overwhelm her; it was easier to watch imaginary motes of light than it was to think about all the people she’d killed and all the Remnant ruins she had managed to pepper with bullets long before anyone ever had the opportunity to study them. Every surface she landed on, she left an ugly scar on, even as she fixed things or made them better. Every habitable planet screamed ‘Ryder was here,’ but not always to her benefit.

Jaal sat up and gently turned her head to face him, offering a hand so she could pull herself upright. “Darling one, you built this crew. You’ve built this galaxy, the connection between our people. You built this from your own mind.” With help, she wanted to say, but instead Ryder allowed Jaal to pull her into his chest, held there for a long moment, only the sound of gentle, imaginary rainfall disturbing this fragile peace. It was difficult to believe him, so difficult, and doubts seemed to assail every step. So much of the journey had been enjoyable, in a perverse kind of way, but everything was catching up with her now.

Even the light in the hologram moved, and a pure ray, unbroken even from the stories-high trees, fell down on both of them like a spotlight. Life, even illusory, continued to scuttle around them, not worried about the two seated figures, not at all concerned about the future of the Andromeda galaxy, or what could happen from the pairing of human and angara. Everything had come directly from Ryder’s memories, thanks to SAM’s careful prodding. In a way, maybe, Jaal was right.

“Hey, Jaal, let’s lie back down.” To his credit, he listened to her, and this time Ryder snuggled into the crook of his arm, one leg sprawled over one of his thighs, an act of affection and perhaps, also (if she was honest with herself) one of possession. “I’ve got so much more to show you.”

And the holograms continued on, images of Earth just for the two to see.

The Grudging Punster — Sanvers Week Day 2

Alex Danvers did not do anything halfway. Maybe this was due to the pressure Eliza put on her to achieve more, to do more, to be a better role model for Kara. Maybe it was because Alex would do anything, anything, to avoid being like the kids who sat in the back of the classroom and made jokes at the teacher’s expense. Either way, Alex Danvers didn’t half-ass anything. This included, of course, being a nerd. If Alex was going to be teased for her proclivity towards science, then she was very well going to be the best gosh-darned science student her high school had ever seen.

And so when her chemistry teacher mentioned the internship at the science center that was technically only open to seniors, but such an over-qualified and darling junior shouldn’t have a difficult time getting in, it seemed like the only natural choice for Alex.

An interview and teacher recommendation later, Alex Danvers found herself standing outside the Midvale Science Center, an excitable Kara Danvers hovering—actually hovering, despite her best attempts to remain on the ground—beside her.

“Kara!” Alex yanked on her little sister’s hand. “On Earth, people aren’t supposed to float, the gravity just doesn’t allow it!”

“Oops,” Kara giggled to herself, her toes skimming the ground again. “I’m just….just…so excited! You are going to be so good at this, and there’s going to be so much science, and Eliza said that we can get ice cream later, to celebrate you!”

Alex sighed. Only Kara would be so excited for the sister she met only months before—and for the promise of ice cream.

Her sister’s hand tightly clenched in hers, Alex stepped into the science center—and was greeted by a cold smirk from the lady in front of her.

“Oh good, you’re here, and you’re what, only ten minutes late?” The woman whose name tag read ‘Cat Grant’ murmured, her voice chilly.

“Oh! Um, my sister’s super sorry! It’s my fault she’s late, I was just so excited to come here today! The science on this planet is very exciting!” Kara stammered, her fingers flying up to adjust her glasses as a blush bled across her cheeks.

“I do not care why you were late, just make sure it doesn’t happen again,” the lady drawled. “Now, run along. The other volunteers are meeting in conference room C, surely you can find that on your own?”

Alex nodded and scampered away, feeling only a little bit bad to be leaving Kara stammering in front of Cat.

* * *

“And you must be Alexandra,” the volunteer coordinator, ‘J’onn,’ his name tag said, greeted from the front of the room.

“Alex,” Alex quickly interjected. Alexandra was only for her mother.

“Alex, we’re just getting started. Why don’t you partner with Miss Sawyer over there who can show you the ropes?”

Alex followed J’onn’s finger to the most beautiful girl in the room. Looking at her, Alex felt like she was living every clichéd first-meeting moment from all the rom-coms that Kara had become so obsessed with. But clichéd movies be damned, this girl was stunning. Her smile must have been the moon reincarnated; it stole all the light from the room and redirected it all toward Alex.

* * *

“I wish I were Adenine because then I could get paired with U!” Maggie whispered as they roamed the halls of the science center, and Alex fought hard to tamp down on the smile that threatened to betray her entire smooth facade.

“We’re already paired together, Sawyer, no need for the pick-up lines,” Alex drawled. She immediately regretted her word choice, however. What if the girl wasn’t flirting at all? What if she was just being friendly? Now Alex had gone and made a fool of herself, right in the first three minutes.

However, Maggie seemed undeterred. “Ooh, a last name type of girl, are you, Danvers? I could get used to that.”

Alex’s cheeks burned. How could she tell Maggie, this girl that she just met, that she was unworthy to say her first name? ‘Maggie’ sounded like a prayer, and Alex, Alex was far too broken to be allowed to pray to such a beautiful goddess.

Alex and Maggie spent the rest of the day working alongside each other in the science center; answering questions and directing foot traffic. Alex, however, proved to be less useful as she’d hoped. For the first time she could remember, Alex found herself tongue-tied when discussing science. She was sure it was just because she was tired, it had absolutely nothing to do with the beautiful girl standing next to her.

“Hey, Danvers!” Maggie bounded up to Alex after their lunch break. The shorter girl braced herself on Alex’s shoulder, and Alex fought to regulate her breathing. “Whenever I’m near you, I undergo anaerobic respiration.”
“Maybe—maybe you should get an inhaler then, Sawyer. Wouldn’t want you passing out on me, now,” Alex stammered back. That wasn’t just being friendly, was it? That definitely qualified as flirting—simply friendly people didn’t hold people’s shoulders and use cheesy science lines, did they?

* * *
As J’onn dismissed the volunteers for the afternoon, Maggie found Alex once more. “Here,” she pressed a small piece of paper into Alex’s palm, curling her fingers around Alex’s. In that moment, it was as though Maggie was a battery and Alex was the conductor; the electricity that surged through her made her heart race and her eyes light up.

“I had fun with you today, see you next week—or maybe before?” Maggie asked, her cocky smile slipping for a moment. Alex, speechless, just squeezed her fingers by way of reply.

* * *
Later, once Alex’s heart rate had returned to normal and she had finally, finally, finally stopped blushing, she opened the note from Maggie.

Danvers, I want to stick to u like glue-cose. Call me? (424)635-2468 —Sawyer.

Although she’d never admit it, that night Alex went compiled a list of science puns of her own.

My Little Blue Star - Jim Kirk x Kat Sparrow (Original Female Character): Soulmate AU - Identical tattoos or birthmarks

Kat sighs staring down at the blue star on her wrist. She was almost thirty years old and hadn’t met her soulmate yet… which normally would mean she never would. Hell for all she knew they could be dead or already happily married with kids. The soulmate tattoos caused a lot of controversy. Many people used to have their kids soulmate tattoos removed when they were babies or children. That was until it was forbidden for a soulmate tattoo to be removed until a person was twenty-one years old. This was to prevent parents from forcing their children’s removed and to keep teens who thought they were in love from having it done.

Many people would fall in love and get married only to later end up in a horrible situation when they met their soulmate. They would have to choose between their spouse and the person they were destined for. Most couples who weren’t soulmates got their tattoos removed at their ten year anniversary, others when they first got married, or when their kids where born. If one soulmate removed their tattoo the others would disappear, the same would happen if someone altered their tattoo; their soulmates would change as well; whether this was by adding to the tattoo, removing part of it, or having a scar change it.

Some people had multiple tattoos, meaning either they were destined for a polyamorous relationship or they simply had multiple chances at finding a soulmate, or one of their soulmates was destined to die… something no one ever wanted to think about. But Kat simply had one. Her blue star had never changed… at least not as long as she could remember. It sat right over her pulse point on her left wrist. A simple light blue star with a black border… it looked almost like a sketch, with the multiple lines making up each edge. The star was faded, like someone had tried to wash it away… Pictures of her when she was born show the star being much more vibrant.

“Kat, are you coming to dinner?” Kat looks up as her best friend pulls her from her thoughts.

“Yeah, I’m coming, Nyota.” She closes down her station following her friend to the mess hall. Kat was head of computer sciences aboard the USS Enterprise. She had worked on the ship since the Nero incident a little over five years before. Nyota had already found her soulmate in her boyfriend Spock. At first the only friend Kat had, had on the Enterprise was Nyota. Then she’d introduced her to the rest of the head crew. Kat had instantly clicked with Hikaru and Pavel, the two instantly earning themselves a place as her best friends. Hikaru had also found his soulmate in his husband Ben. The two had a daughter now.

“Hey, Kat” She smiles as Pavel waves her and Nyota over to them. Nyota sits down next to Spock, who is talking with Bones, another of Kat’s best friends. The doctor was yelling at him as usual while Spock simply raised an eyebrow in concern? At least that’s what she thought that face meant; the half-vulcan was very hard to read at times. Hikaru and Pavel seemed to be in the middle of some type of challenge, they each had houses built of forks in front of them and where adding more. Scotty and Keenzer where cheering them on. Jim, the captain of the ship was watching all this in amusement. That was their little family.

“What exactly are you doing?” Kat asks as she sets her tray down.

“I bet Pasha here that I could build a taller tower then him.” Hikaru says smirking. Kat shakes her head sitting down and eating her food. She pulls her blue sleeve back from her wrist to look at her tattoo again, letting her mind wander as she eats, absentmindedly listening to her friends argue and talk excitedly.

“Are you worrying about that again?” She looks up as Bones addresses her. Kat quickly covers her tattoo with her sleeve. She wasn’t one to display her soulmate tattoo; many people didn’t, wearing black bands on their wrists to cover it. Normally Kat wore one as well, but hers had broken that morning. This made it a lot harder to find your soulmate, but kept you from finding them while in the middle of situation that was inappropriate, such as at work, or during a negotiation of some sort. The only other person in their friend group who had ever worn one was Jim. But Kat had noticed he’d stopped wearing his when it became legal for captains to date their crew so long as they disclosed the relationship to the admiralty, their first officer, and their head of medical.

“Worrying about what?” Kat asks playing dumb, as she pushes her thick black glasses up her face, a nervous habit she’d picked up as a kid. She was allergic to the medicine that fixed eyesight and so was one of the few people in the federation who needed them, something she had once been very subconscious about.

“Your soulmate, you normally move your band to look at it to fiddle with the band when you’re thinking about it.” Nyota says. Kat scowls.

“You people are too damn observant.”

“You shouldn’t vorry; you’ll find zhem when iz’s time.” Pavel says placing another fork on his tower.

“Not everyone does, Pavel. With my luck they’re either dead or already married.” Kat shakes her head.

“Well you’ll never find them if you keep the tattoo covered like you do? I don’t think I’ve ever seen?” Bones points out.

“I thought you didn’t believe in the soulmate tattoos?” Kat counters crossing her arms. Bones had been married when his wife had found her soulmate and divorced him. He’d been very cynical about it since. It didn’t help his soulmate had removed their tattoo when he was around sixteen.

“I believe in them, just don’t like em.” Bone counters.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen it either?” Hikaru points out.

“I normally where my band, it broke this morning though…” Kat shrugs.

“But why hide it if you want to find yours, Lass?” Scotty asks. Kat looks away.

“We weren’t allowed to show them in the orphanage or during the war…” She explains. “If we did we’d be beaten, arrested, or killed… It’s become a habit I guess…” Kat had grown up on the none federation planet of Arulan in an orphanage. A war had raged on the planet for most of her life. She had left the planet at nineteen to join the federation and a year later once she was a citizen of earth, to join Starfleet.

“Oh…” The table falls silent. Kat stands up.

“I’ll see you guys tomorrow.” She says leaving the table.

                                           —Line Break—

A week had passed since the day in the mess hall. Nyota had been pushing her to show her tattoo off ever since. She wasn’t being overly pushy about it, more reassuring then anything. Kat hadn’t bothered getting a new band. She figured her sleeve would be enough for most situations and figured Nyota and the others where right, if she wanted any chance of finding her soulmate she had to show it. They were on Shore leave on Yorktown that day as the ship needed repairs from a fight with a few Klingon war birds earlier that month.

“Okay, so the purpose of this trip is to show your tattoo to as many people as possible.” Nyota says as she drags Kat into a club where they would be meeting the rest of the head crew for drinks.

“I know; you’ve gone over this ten times, Ny.” Kat shakes her head rolling her eyes. She was wearing a blue sundress, her tattoo completely uncovered for anyone to see for the first time in her life. Her long wavy brown hair was pulled back in a braid, curtesy of Nyota’s hair styling skills. Nyota drags her over to the others. Hikaru was dancing with Ben not far from the table, Pavel flirting with a girl nearby. Spock, Bones, and Jim sit sipping drinks already at the table. Scotty was playing pool with some guys from engineering.

“Hello, Nyota, Kat.” Spock greets them as the two slide into the booth. Nyota next to Spock, Kat across from her beside Jim.

“So I see you’re not wearing a bracelet. Decided to show of your tattoo?” Bones asks clearly a bit drunk already.

“Yes, she has. Our goal tonight is to show it to as many people as possible, see if anyone recognizes it as their own or someone they knows.” Nyota says.

“Well then, let’s see it.” Bones says leaning around Jim to see. Kat laughs shaking her head.

“You’re nosy when your drunk, Bones.” She holds out her wrist hesitantly. Before Bones can get a good look, a waitress comes over to them asking for their drink order, Kat turns back ordering herself a scotch. Bones now distracted by his drink doesn’t ask again and the group falls into their usual conversations. After a while Nyota drags Spock onto the dance floor, Bones heading to the bar to get another drink.

“So, your actively looking for your soulmate now?” Jim asks sipping his own scotch.

           “More or less… Nyota’s idea…” She shrugs.

“You don’t seem too happy about it?”

“It’s not that… I’m just not very comfortable showing it… I feel like I’m going to be arrested or attacked for it any minute… I know I won’t be but…” She looks down at her wrist running a finger over her star.

“But fear isn’t logical.” Jim finishes. “I had to keep mine covered before… I didn’t want to find my soulmate on the ship, knowing I couldn’t be with them…” He says pulling the sleeve on his right arm up.

“Makes sense” Kat nods. She runs her finger over her star once more before turning to look at him fully.

“Have you ever imagined what your soulmate will be like?” Jim asks.

“Yeah… I hope their nice, a good person ya know? But I don’t know what to think… my tattoo is still here but it’s faded… I would have thought it was supposed to be, but pictures of me as a baby show it being a lot more vibrant… I can’t help but wonder if my soulmate attempted to remove the tattoo and failed…” She explains a worried look clear on her face.

“It could have been an accident or their parents? My mom tried to remove mine with a home remedy when I was a toddler, I only know because my older brother told me… She didn’t want me having one after my father died… something about not wanting me to go through that pain… she tried the same on my brothers… it didn’t work. Now mine’s all faded.”

“That’s horrible…” Kat shakes her head.

“Yeah… But I still like mine… my little star.” He smiles looking down at his wrist, Kat tries to make out his tattoo but is just at the wrong angle to see it.

“A star?” She asks, glancing down at her own little blue star.

“Yeah, it fits, with me loving the stars as much as I do… I hope she likes them as much as I do…”

           “She?”

“Yeah, I mean, I’d be fine if it were a he or whatever they are… but I feel like they’re a she…”

“What else do you feel they’re like?” Kat asks with a small smile.

“Their favorite color is blue, and they love the stars and the ocean… They’re a cat person, but like dogs too.” He says with a thoughtful look. “They are a huge nerd.”

“All that from one little tattoo?” She laughs.

“Well, yes and no… I’ve daydreamed about them, whoever they are my entire life… got me through some of my worst moments.” He downs his drink.

“I guess that makes sense… I was too busy trying to survive to get a chance to dream of stuff like that… I love my little blue star though… It fits me perfectly.” Kat says laying her left wrist on the table to show him her tattoo. Jim leans over to look at it, his eyes slowly widening.

“Holy crap.” He mutters as he slowly looks up at her. Kat raises an eyebrow.

“What?” Jim lays his right wrist beside hers. Right on his pulse point is a little blue sketch like star… her little blue star. Kat stares openly at the tattoos for a minute before she slowly looks up at him.

“You’re my soulmate?” Jim asks, looking completely shocked. “All these years… we were right there… and we never knew?”

Kat stares at him, her heart racing in her ears. She slowly and almost fearfully brings her right hand to trace the star on his wrist. As soon as she touches it a small shock shoots through her, not a bad shock like static electricity but an amazing one. The shock is like a bucket of cold water being poured over your head on a warm day, the satisfaction when you put the final piece of a puzzle together, like the first bite of your favorite desert, or hearing the chorus to your absolute favorite song. It’s like the first snow of winter, or first bud of spring. Absolute belonging, like the world finally making sense. Something Kat had never known. Like for the first time in her life, she was truly home.

Kat looks up at him her wide brown eyes, made even wider by her glasses, locking with his bright shocked blue. Blue… just like her… no their little blue stars.

“Oh my god…” She mutters out, she covers her mouth with her right hand her eyes flickering form his back to their wrists then back to his eyes again.

“Is… is that a good ‘oh my god’… or a bad one?” He asks slowly, looking at her nervously now. Kat blinks at him not getting his meaning for a moment. She moves her hand pushing her glasses up her nose.

“A shocked one… I… oh wow… I never thought… that my soulmate could be… someone like you.” Kat says her eyes locking with his again.

“I know… you probably expected someone better… Someone who deserves someone as amazing as you…” Jim says looking away, clearly misunderstanding her. “We don’t have to be together… I understand if you don’t want to be.” Jim says his voice breaking.

“What? NO!” Kat shakes her head quickly, grabbing his right hand in her left frantically. “That is not what I meant!” Jim looks down at their hand then up at her confused.

           “Then what did you mean?”

“I meant I never expected my soulmate could be someone as absolutely amazing and wonderful as you!” Kat says looking up at him desperately, worry clear on her face.

“You… you think I’m wonderful?” Jim asks, a large grin slowly stretching across his face, happiness, wonder, and love replacing the hurt and pain. Kat nods slowly, her face turning red.

“Well… yeah.” She looks down at her their hands. Jim uses his free hand to lift her chin softly so their eyes a locked again.

“I think you’re an amazing, wonderful, beautiful, strong, and sometimes a bit scary, woman. I couldn’t have been given a better soulmate.” He says sincerely. Kat stares at him tears starting to form in her eyes.

“You… really think that?” Jim nods a large grin splitting his face tears sparkling in his own eyes.

“That and so much more… I’ve liked you for a long time… hell much more then liked, but I didn’t want to make a move knowing you still had your tattoo meaning you were probably waiting for your soulmate…”

“I was doing the same thing… we really are idiots.” Kat laughs a large grin splitting her face as a few tears leave a trail down it. Jim brushes the tears away.

“May I… kiss you?” He asks after a moment. Kat nods her smile turning nervous again. Jim slowly leans in, kissing her softly. Kat kisses him back, her heart leaping with joy. After twenty-nine years, she was finally home.

Yoosung: Last Minute Study Sesh

“MC~ Can we please just watch a movie… I can cram for calculus later” yoosung whined as he tried to give his girlfriend the puppy eyes. That clearly stopped working on her months ago when they first started dating. She looked at him, giving him a mock stern look, he loved how serious she was trying to be for his sake, his heart swelled at how much she cared for him.

“Honey, I am doing this for you, this is one of your main courses for your degree, and your girlfriend happens to be a genius, you should be kissing my feet for sharing my intelligence with you,” MC teased with a giggle.

Ughhhhhhhhh. Fine you win” yoosung said as he came over to his girlfriend begrudgingly, and kissed her cheek. “What would I do without you?”

“Fail, obviously,” MC said with a smirk, as they sat down to study together.

Yoosung knew, he was no going to retain a damn thing that night. He was the luckiest man on earth, he had a beautiful girlfriend, who had a heart of gold AND was smart as hell. He gazed at her, as she began spouting something about Integrals and differentiation. He was mesmerized by her voice, with was intoxicating, he wanted to hear every noise that could come out of that mouth.

Yoosung.” MC said, “Helloooooooo… answer this questions”

“Got it babe.” He began working on the question but was again distracted. MC had decided that her beautiful long locks were getting in the way and decided to tie her hair. Braid it, to be exact. He watched as she pulled her hair back, showcasing her beautiful face even more and her enticing neck. He watched as her intricate fingers slowly took pieces of her hair and began weaving it. The entire experience was mesmerizing, he was in awe at how she managed to look so beautiful at all times. “God I am the luckiest man alive, I love her so much and this God-given gift has given me the pleasure of being my girlfriend.” he thought to himself. He was terrible with words, and still very bashful but he made a promise to himself that he would never ever let her doubt that she was loved.

MC must have felt his eyes on her because she caught him staring, a blush rose to her face, “What? Is there something on my face? Does my hair look weird” she began fretting. He simply leaned over and kissed her full on the mouth, she was taken aback but returned the kiss.

“Babe, you are the single most beautiful thing on this planet. I was just thinking how lucky I was.” yoosung said, as he felt heat rush to his face. She kissed him back and nuzzled him, “I love you too, BUT no more getting distracted, you need to pass. I promise for every question you get right I will give you a kiss, how about it?”

Let’s just say, that this method was extremely effective and Yoosung passed with flying colors.

Zen: Waiting up for you

“Babe, are you coming to bed yet?” MC asked.

Zen felt a pang of guilt, he just received a brand new role and was busy at rehearsals. He barely ever saw his girlfriend and felt guilty that even at home he was practicing his lines. “I am so sorry hon, but I am rehearsing these lines and I will probably be up some more.” he stood up to hug his girlfriend and kiss her on top of her head, “You might have to fall asleep without me again babe.”

“It’s okay babe,” she said trying to hide a yawn, “I’ll wait up for you so we can go together.” She went to grab a book to curl up on the couch to read.

His heart skipped a beat, she was clearly sleepy but put him first so that they could spend some time together. “God, I love her so much” he thought to himself as he sat down to review the lines. She sat on the couch adjacent to him, with a book and a blanket looking absolutely beautiful.

He was surrounded by attractive people every day, but somehow he was always floored by MC. She had her hair tied up in a messy bun, but she put runway models to shame. Tendrils of hair flowed down effortlessly, to frame her beautiful face. She was not wearing any makeup, but in his opinion, she didn’t need to, he felt the hair leaving his lungs just looking at her perfect face. He tried and tried to focus on practicing his lines but how could he when the love of his life was sitting right there? He watched as she read, her expressions were his favorite thing about her. Everything was clearly displayed on her face. She blushed and she flushed with every single plot twist and event. Finally, he had enough, he threw his script down and grabbed her, carrying her bridal style to their bedroom.

“Z-Zen?! I thought you had to practice? Is it okay?” MC asked, feeling flustered.

He simply began covering her face in kisses, telling her how much he loved her and how sorry he was that he wasn’t there. She giggled and began returning his kisses. He made sure to tell her just how lucky he was and how much he loved her every single day. He didn’t know where he would be without her but he never ever wanted to find out.

Jumin: Late Nights and Long Drives

“MC, we could take Driver Kim, if you want to go somewhere. Why on earth do you want to drive around? Look at the time? Is this what commoners do?”

MC laughed, “Yes Jumin, this is how we spend time and relax. I love driving, it relaxes me and I love you and spending time with you. Please?”

“She already knows the answer,” Jumin thought to himself. He buckled his seat belt and braced himself. He would not have a problem with going on a long drive with MC, but she tended to drive a bit recklessly. She was always swerving in between cars, racing cars that would try to cut her off and the road rage that she had was astonishing. She looked so innocent and cute, but when she was mad, Jumin sometimes could not handle her vulgarity. Still, all of these made his heart grow fonder. He loved all of these aspects about her.

As she began driving, she talked to Jumin asking about him. He felt his heart pound, “she knows me so well, she did this because I was stressed at work, sly girl”. He looked at her affectionately as her hair was whipping around her, she had a smile on her face, she was astonishingly beautiful. He had never in his whole life seen something so breathtaking. Her genuine smile, her intoxicating laugh, her addictive voice, Jumin felt his heart drop, he wanted to kiss her so badly. He wanted her so badly.

He had no idea how he had become so lucky. He used to mock couples before, never understanding how someone could be so head over heels for someone, but now he understood. Just the thought of her being sad, crying or simply not being with him made his heart clench painfully. He was hopelessly enamored, but he was not complaining.

He reached and took MC’s had off of the gear shift and intertwined their fingers. He lifted their hands to his mouth and kissed it deeply, hoping to convey even a drop of the feelings he held for them. MC looked over, and then proceeded to do the same, lifting his hand to touch their perfect lips, he felt her smile against his hand.

“MC, I love you, more than anything, more than you can ever imagine. You have made me the happiest man, and surprisingly you make me happier every single day. I did not know it was even possible-” he began to mumble and ramble on. He was never good with emotions, but he would damn well try and make his beloved feel loved.

MC pulled the car over, and kissed him deeply, “I know Juju, and I love you too. You are the greatest thing that has ever happened to me.” She smiled as she started the car once more, taking his hand and holding it in her own.

Jumin had to look outside, at the scenery, he felt himself getting choked up. “I am the luckiest man alive, I only hope I can give her an ounce of happiness that she has given me.”

707: Sweet tooth & Sweet Dreams

“BABE. I ORDERED US A FEAST,” MC shouted as she walked into the house, arms full of various foods and sweet treats. She cleared off the dining table and laid the buffet out.

707 loved when she became like this. She had a huge appetite and she was not ashamed what so ever. The girl could eat. He watched as she fixed herself and him a plate, piled high. He kissed her cheek as she sat down next to him, as she asked about his day. He gave her a bland answer and began eating. He watched his girlfriend affectionately, watching her eat was his single most favorite activity.

Her eyes lit up, as she analyzed the food. He could practically see the wheels in her head spinning, trying to figure out what to eat first. Her entire face lit up, reflecting the happiness she felt as she began eating. He felt his heart skip a beat, she looked so beautiful when she was happy. He would buy all the food in the world if it meant that he could preserve that radiant smile. She began talking about her day, he felt his nerves calm down. He was extremely stressed lately due to work, she probably brought all this food to help cheer him up. He loved that they were on the same wavelength, he didn’t even need to say anything, she always knew what he was feeling and knew exactly how to make him feel better.

After finishing their meal, she was in an enormous food coma. She laid down on him as they cuddled on the couch. She was still talking to him, about random stuff, he could only look at her. She was so distracting. Every curve, every feature was so expertly place, he silently thanked god for sending him an angel. All of the anxiety he had felt before, was gone, replaced with a warm feeling. He noticed she had stopped talking and when he looked down at her, he realized that she had fallen asleep on his lap.

He smiled to himself, thinking how foolish he was. He was so happy in this moment, he could die and he would be content. The mere thought of that sent an ache in his body, he realized he didn’t want to die. He wanted to be with her, to laugh with her, to cry. He wanted to grow old with her and have stupid fights with her. He wanted to make up and fall even harder for her. He wanted to see her face in their kids, he wanted to live for her. He could feel himself getting emotional. “You know, I thought I didn’t deserve it. But you make me want to be the best version of myself. God, I love you so much woman, you have no idea. I am so sorry for hurting you and will spend the rest of my life proving myself to be worthy of your love.” he said to her as he peppered her face with kisses.

He would try his hardest, to not push her away. He would fight for her, never let her feel unwanted or unworthy of his love. He would protect her and her smile because god only knew that it was his entire world.

WHOOOO I hope you guys like this. It took me forever to write this (T.T). I have been crazy busy with work, uni, homework and just life in general. I AM SO SORRY. I KNOW I FORGOT BAEHEE ILL ADD HER IN THE MORNING. Please reblog, like, follow and show me and this post some looooooove guys :D Requests are open so please feel free to send in requests for fics, reactions, scenarios or etc. THANKS BABES I LOVES YOU BAI :3

Lydia,

I hope when you’re reading this, you’ve just come home from school and your cheeks hurt from laughing all day with our friends, and you’re wearing one of your favorite outfits, and your hair is in one of those intricate braids I always admire but I’ve never told you. I hope you’re doing the psych homework you love, and Prada is sleeping at the foot of your bed. I hope you’re listening to that one weird album you love from that band that even I didn’t know about, and your mom is cooking your favorite meal for dinner (spaghetti, no meatballs, extra mushrooms), and you’re drinking extra strong black coffee because you know you’re gonna be up all night studying. I hope you’re in your happiest state possible, and I hope you find your way back to it after all of this is said and done.

Now for the hard part. It’s 3:30 in the morning, you’re fast asleep feet away from me in my bed, but I couldn’t sleep knowing what’s coming. By the time you’re reading this, they’ve taken me. I want you to know I’m not scared. Yes, my hands are trembling like leaves in November as I’m writing this, but you know me…or maybe you don’t, but they always are. I know what’s coming for me, and I’m prepared to handle it. What I’m not prepared to handle is the thought of you worrying about me after I tell you all of this. I’m not scared, Lydia, so please don’t be scared for me.

My name is Stiles Stilinski. I live with my dad, the Sheriff of Beacon Hills. I’m a senior at Beacon Hills High School, I play lacrosse (or try to), I love Star Wars, I have a piece of shit blue Jeep that is literally held together by duct tape, and I know you like the back of my damn hand, Lydia Martin.

We have a pack. You, me, and all of the idiots I’m going to tell you about. We’ve literally been to hell and back with them. I’m praying to any God that this will help you remember what our lives really are. This group of people is our home, Lydia. Find them. Stick with them. Never let them go.

My best friend is Scott McCall. I don’t know what my evaporation has done to you two, but he’s one of your best friends as well. He is such a hero it hurts him, but he’s a better person than I could ever even attempt to be. He loves his friends, us, more than anything on this planet, and he’ll protect us unwaveringly, even if that surrenders his own safety. Sophomore year, he was bitten by a werewolf, and it flipped our world upside down. You’re part of that world.

Malia Tate. You taught her how to drive (god help her). She’s a werecoyote. She’s my…friend? Fellow pack member? Not important, what is important is that you find her. She is fiercely loyal and brave, and one of the most selfless people I know. Our pack needs her, and so do you.

Mason, Liam, and Hayden. The new creatures. They’re small, like, Scrappy Doo small, so even your short self might have to look down to find them. But when you do, you’ll be grateful, because even if they are annoying toddlers sometimes, they have been amazing additions to our pack. At the end of the day, they just needed a home like the rest of us, and they fit right in.

And then there’s you, Lydia. You’re a banshee. Your powers have kept us alive time after time, life threatening situation after life threatening situation. Maybe you know that, maybe you don’t, and maybe you’ve already thrown this letter away thinking I’m a lunatic, but somehow I know you haven’t. Because whether you remember me or not, not even something as horrific as this could erase a piece of you from my mind. Nothing could take away what I feel and know about you.

I know that you are strong beyond limits and intelligent beyond compare.I know you’ve built up walls so tall around you that you can no longer see the top of them. I know you’ve been chipping away at them for the past two years, and have so graciously let me peek in. I know that you still have a scar from where Prada bit you on your ankle. I know your favorite movie is Clueless, but you tell people it’s Moulin Rouge. I know that you’re going to win a Fields Medal someday. I know that you possess everything you need to live the life you dream of.

I feel like we didn’t get enough time. I feel like I was taken in the middle of the climax of our story. I feel that you are going to be upset after reading this. I feel like you’re going to cry, and even though you look beautiful while doing it, my heart aches picturing that. I feel a physical hole in my chest imagining myself without you. I feel that I was never meant to live without you by my side, helping me figure things out. Most of all, I feel like you’ll remember. You told me you would, and I feel like I have to believe you. You’ve never given me a reason not to.

Remember, Lydia? Remember the semi formal? Remember that giant gift I brought to your birthday party? Remember using toilet paper as tissue in my bedroom? Remember the locker room floor? Remember me fainting after we defeated the nogitsune? Remember tangling red string around your fingers on my bed night after night as we tried to untangle our lives? Remember the Jeep?

I know this letter is a mess, which is an accurate representation of me, and I’m hoping that will help rather than hurt. I know you can do this, Lydia. If there’s anything I know, it’s that you will stop at nothing to save the people you care about, no matter the consequences. And now I know I’m one of those people, and it’s my favorite fact in the world. It’s a fact that will keep me going, wherever I’m going. Even if I never go back home, I will hold onto the fact that Lydia Martin chose to care about me, out of all people on this Earth. And that will be enough.

This isn’t a goodbye letter, Lydia. This is just a piece of the puzzle I know you’ll put together. I have faith in you, always have, always will, and that faith lets me know that this is not the end of us.

see you soon,
Stiles

Book 50 Megamorphs 2

#50:

Short opinion: [Vague impotent mutterings repeating what other people have said about how this portrayal of disability is problematic and Cassie somehow never has serious negative consequences for all her bad decisions.]

Long opinion:

K.A. Applegate does this really cool thing throughout the series with role reversals, especially within the Anifamilies, that really comes to the fore in this book.  It’s a motif that starts as early as the first book, when Jake goes from sitting outside Tom’s door singing “Do You Want to Build a Snowman” to doing battle in order to protect Tom in less than half a book.  It continues up through the final book with Cassie becoming an independent adult while her parents stay home and Jake’s casual statement that “I bought a house for my folks” (#54).  Heck, arguably it starts even before the war begins, given that Marco’s reason for not wanting to get involved is a desire to protect his dad and Tobias spends that whole scene with Elfangor trying to protect his dad.

Anywhoo, it is simultaneously heartbreaking and awesome how much time the Animorphs spend parenting their own parents in this book.  Tobias is determined to keep Loren out of the war even though, logically speaking, she’s a morph-capable badass who they could really use on their side in a battle.  Rachel gets saddled with the role of impressing the seriousness of the situation on her spoiled, rebellious mother.  Jake spends this whole arc grappling with the realization that his family are beyond his ability to help or protect; not only does Tom’s yeerk threaten to kill their parents to keep Jake in line, but at some point between #41 and the last scene of #50, Jake has arrived at the conclusion that killing Tom’s yeerk is more important for the greater good than saving Tom himself.  Marco gets this fascinating role reversal from within the role reversal from the first several books (where he does the grocery shopping, financial planning, and meal preparation for his largely-incapable father) to the last few books (where his mother is the most competent adult in the whole damn valley) even though he hasn’t stopped fighting to protect his family.  Ax meanwhile has ended up shoved into the role of diplomat between armies, between species, and the kid who just wants to follow orders into doing the right thing suddenly becomes the one who has all the power over the andalite and human forces alike.

But of course this isn’t their book.  This is Cassie’s book.  This is the story of Cassie realizing that her good, kind, caring parents… “wouldn’t—couldn’t—face the awful truth.  That we were at war.  That the rules had changed.  That we had to do things we’d never choose to do under peacetime circumstances… and I was angry that my mother was forcing me to confront her with this truth” (#50).  Cassie has maybe the most unshakable optimism of anyone else on the team, with her willingness to believe that the Earth will come through in the end, that the yeerks are worth giving a shot at redemption, and that the Animorphs need to behave like they’re going to have to live with themselves someday when they survive the war.  Not only is this kind of fatalism uncharacteristic for her (just like Jake’s apathy is uncharacteristic for him, a sign that already the center is failing to hold), but it’s a sign of the direness of the situation that Cassie has come to accept that “Some of us are going to die.  That’s a fact…  Nothing will stop the dying except winning the war.  And right now, our chances of winning don’t look real good” (#50).

Cassie spends this whole book not just horrified but often disgusted with her parents’ naïveté.  Experienced warrior that she is, Cassie understands that Michelle is being somewhere between condescending and clueless with her insistence that the hork-bajir need “at least forty feet of space” to survive as if they are livestock.  Similarly, she’s heartbroken that Walter thinks the solution to their interpersonal problems is to adopt Jake, when what Jake needs isn’t a new set of parents but the respect of what little family he has left—he doesn’t snap out of his depressive apathy until Naomi throws her faith behind him at the weapons depot.  When Marco simply tells Jake outright that Cassie’s parents aren’t strong enough to join the fight, that fact is so self-evident it doesn’t even sting that he’s being so mean.

War is hell.  War changes people.  Those are platitudes.  K.A. Applegate does a nightmare-inducingly good job of showing those realities, and she uses this ultimately good-hearted kid to convey that there is no such thing as fighting a war while keeping one’s hands clean.  There’s no such thing as a good war, a just war, or a glorious war.  There is, however, such thing as a necessary war.  Cassie doesn’t die in the war; in fact, she is perhaps the only Animorph who truly manages to recover enough to thrive after it ends.  Her interactions with her parents in this book make it clear that she is irreparably damaged nonetheless, and that she doesn’t have the option to go home anymore.

Walter and Michelle are foils to Cassie, because they are still the kind of person she used to be back when she talked her best friend into letting her walk home with a cute boy through an abandoned construction site.  And their lack of exposure to war leaves them so unable to cope with its realities that they come off as somewhere between childish and sad.  Because Cassie has not just grown up on her own, she has grown beyond her parents.  She passed mere maturity at some point thirty-two books ago.  Now she is beaten-down and battle-weary, infinitely beyond her parents’ ability to protect her and so far out of sight of that sweet tree-hugging girl that she wouldn’t even recognize the person she’s become.  But it’s what’s necessary, because the alternative is letting the yeerks take the planet.  The only choice left to her and her friends is the least atrocity, and it is the choice she must take.

Tell me if you like it and I might continue the story with longer chapters.

-.The Knot.-

The crowd awaiting Korra at the docks was smaller this time around.

Much smaller.

In fact, it consisted of only three people: two being Republic customs inspectors, and the last a young woman draped in orange robes which made her an unavoidable focus point.

The Avatar could not restrain a smirk upon recognizing that ethereal glow contesting the mist. She should have known this arrival could not be kept secret from everyone.

Especially those who gossiped with omnipresent spirits.

FightWrite: Keeping Tension High

Depending on how you handle your fight scenes, they can actually become pretty boring. This often happens when the scene is just about the fight and not about the events surrounding it in the narrative. Many sequences put too high a premium on the hero’s survival, this can happen even if the hero has carved through a few hundred enemies to get there and taken no outward scratches along the way. This is a danger to heroes, villains, and even side characters that are exceptionally good at combat. When we know the hero is capable, there’s little reason to pay attention to their fights. The tension ebbs, the reader knows they’ll win and, with no possibility of the unexpected, may not even care what happens next.

Yawn.

This is where things can get a bit tricky. Always remember: fight scenes like any scene must serve the tension in the overarching story. The rest of the suggestions are below the cut.

(We’re still recovering from being sick, but hopefully this will help some of you. We’ll try to get the inbox questions soon.)

Start Of Something Good

Oliver loses his little sister at the supermarket. Of course she would end up making a ‘new best friend’ who happens to be one of the cutest girls he’s ever seen. High school au.

Tagging letsnevergrowupfan and if anyone else would like me to tag them in my stuff let me know!

Read on AO3

“Thea!” Oliver called out, searching frantically for his sister through every aisle in the supermarket.

He had looked away for less than a second, checking his phone because Tommy had sent him a text, he was going to murder his best friend later and then she was gone. He lost his little sister oh god his mother was going to kill him his father was going to kill him why was this happening.

“Thea!” he repeated, racing like a madman from one lane to the other, pushing past people who gave him nasty looks but he didn’t care he needed to find her.

Panic began clawing at his insides as she was nowhere to be found and Oliver felt as if he was going to throw up. His stomach was twisted in knots as he began to dial the SCPD to report a missing child when suddenly he heard a sound that was music to his ears.

“Ollie!” exclaimed the familiar voice that could belong to only one person in the world.

Oliver whirled around just in time to see his seven year old sister rushing towards him and his universe was whole again.

“Thea!” Oliver said as he took the little girl into his arms and spun her around, sighing in relief that she was safe. He held on to her for a few seconds, able to breathe once more with her messy hair in his face as he convinced himself that she was really okay.

“Speedy don’t you ever walk away from me like that again!” he scolded because now that he knew she was in one piece, he could strangle her for giving him a freaking heart attack. “You scared the hell out of me!”

“I’m sorry,” she said softly, wearing her most apologetic expression with her head tilted as she pouted, giving him what she called her puppy dog face.

“That only works on dad,” Oliver said but his sister kept looking at him like a wounded animal until he finally sighed, giving up because really, there was no one on earth who could actually stay mad at Thea Queen.

He cracked a little smile and Thea’s entire face lit up as she realised her older brother wasn’t angry with her.

“Just promise me you won’t do that again alright,” Oliver said softly.

“I promise,” she vowed, nodding seriously before Oliver gently kissed her forehead, causing her to giggle.

“Now put me down!” she demanded, wriggling to get out of Oliver’s grip and he happily obliged because damn that kid was getting heavy.

It was only when Thea ran excitedly towards her, did Oliver notice the blonde girl with glasses standing awkwardly a little distance away. It did not escape his attention that she was very cute. His sister grabbed the mystery girl’s hand, pulling her towards him and he could have sworn she almost fell over but he wouldn’t be surprised. Thea was a force to be reckoned with.

“Ollie this is my new best friend Felicity!” Thea said with a toothy grin, still holding on to her hand.

Oliver couldn’t help but raise his eyebrows a bit as Felicity blushed upon Thea’s proclamation.

“Your sister was very brave when she realised she couldn’t find you,” Felicity said, causing the younger Queen to beam proudly.

“I’m sure she was,” Oliver replied with a smile of his own. “Unfortunately, she has a crappy brother who doesn’t always keep an eye on her.”

Felicity laughed and the sound caused flowers to bloom in Oliver’s chest. He wanted to make her laugh over and over again.

“But her brother does love her very much,” she replied. “From what I saw from that little display.”

“Not that I was like stalkerishly observing your little reunion or anything,” Felicity quickly added, her eyes wide and this time it was Oliver who laughed.

“It’s okay,” he said, grinning especially because her face was turning red and this girl was absolutely adorable.

“Felicity helped me to not be scared when I lost you,” Thea said suddenly, looking up adoringly at the blonde and Oliver couldn’t help but feel just a tiny bit jealous because usually it was him being hero worshipped by her.

But then Felicity smiled sweetly back, a soft expression on her features as she looked at the mischievous tiny brunette who was a pain in Oliver’s ass but his whole life at the same time and his heart melted a little.

“Thank you,” he said quietly, his voice laced with gratitude and Felicity started blushing again.

“It was nothing. She’s a great kid,” she said and Oliver didn’t think it was possible for Thea’s grin to grow wider but it did.

“Anyway, I should really be going,” Felicity announced and disappointment immediately punched him in the gut.

“Wait!” Thea protested and it seemed that he wasn’t the only one who was displeased. “Ollie you need to get her number for me.”

Oliver’s face was the one heating up this time and Felicity wouldn’t even look him in the eye as they both tried to hide embarrassed smiles and hearts that were beating much too loud.

“Um if you could just put in your number…” he said, handing her his phone.

“Oh sure of course,” she replied hastily, taking it and typing in her information and Oliver couldn’t help but thank his lucky stars that out of all the people in the whole supermarket, Thea’s new friend was Felicity.

“Here you go,” she mumbled, holding out his device and as Oliver took it back, his fingers brushed against hers and he drew in a breath as time seemed to stand still and their surroundings fell away.

His skin touched hers and something blossomed within him and it was possible that he was just going crazy but maybe this was what people meant when they talked about sparks flying and all that other stuff.

Her blue eyes met his from behind her glasses and for a moment Oliver was completely enchanted by the girl who he didn’t even know but would very much like to. He was lost in her, the chatter of the people around them disappearing as they were the only two people on the planet.

“Yay! Thank you Felicity!” Thea said jumping up and down, breaking them both out of their trance.

Oliver blinked for a second  as he was brought back down to earth again, unsure of what had just happened.

“Can I call you later?” his sister asked excitedly.

“Of course,” Felicity replied, laughter seeping into her voice. “I mean if it’s okay with Oliver.”

Oliver’s heart damn near stopped as his name dropped from Felicity’s lips and he didn’t think he had ever loved it as much as he did just then.

“Sure that’s okay with me. More than okay actually that would be great. I wouldn’t mind at all,” he tripped over his words and oh great he was the one babbling like an idiot now.

Felicity giggled and Oliver was a puddle on the floor and this girl was going to be the death of him.

“I should go,” Felicity said softly after a moment, her eyes never leaving Oliver’s and every cell in his body began screaming at him to beg her to stay for a while.

“Felicity!” he called out just as she began walking away.

“Yeah?” she asked as she turned around, a hopeful expression written on her features.

“We were going to get some ice cream after we were finished here. Do you wanna come with us?” he asked.

The grin that broke through and the way she lit up like Christmas told him the answer before she even opened her mouth.

“Yes,” she replied and Oliver couldn’t help his own grin at that one word.

“Yay!” Thea exclaimed, clapping her hands in excitement. “Felicity’s coming with us for ice cream!”

After they both picked up what they needed, they headed out of the store, Thea holding on to each of their hands and swinging as they walked along the street.

“Felicity what’s your favourite ice cream flavour?” Thea inquired curiously.

“Mint chip,” she responded, her hair blowing in the wind.

“Hey that’s Ollie’s too!” said Thea.

“Your brother has good taste,” she said, smirking as she sneaked a glance as Oliver.

“He does,” Oliver shot back, winking at her and smiling smugly as she began turning red for the millionth time. He wondered how many times he would be able to do that before the day was done. Oliver’s new favourite pastime was making Felicity blush.

“What’s your favourite flavour Thea?” Felicity asked, ignoring Oliver and refusing to give him a response.

“Chocolate!” she replied just as they reached the ice cream shop and she ran in, beckoning Oliver and Felicity to hurry.

“Are you sure it’s a good idea to give her more sugar?” Felicity asked Oliver quietly while Thea bounced up and down excitedly on her toes as she told the woman behind the counter exactly what she wanted.

“Nope,” he replied. “Mom’s gonna kill me.”

“Why do I have a feeling that’s something that happens a lot?” she asked warily.

“Because is it,” he said and Felicity shook her head at the proud expression he wore.

“God help your future wife,” she said to him, already picturing a household of hyperactive mini Olivers, causing chaos and wrecking havoc.

“My future wife will be extremely lucky,” he replied, pretending to be hurt by her statement.

But the joke was on Felicity because Oliver Queen’s future wife turned out to be none other than the blonde girl he met at the grocery store after he lost his baby sister. And at their wedding, Oliver would grin as he reminded her of the words she said to him so long ago but that he had stored away for that exact moment. However she would merely smile herself, recalling his own statement and say that he actually got something right for once. Because indeed, his wife certainly was extremely lucky.

Manga: *finally gives Endymion some associated mythology, bringing Mamoru into focus and showing him develop into a powerful Sailor Crystal carrier who can truly be the king of the planet and the support for the queen*. 90s anime: "Shit, we wasted the entire season on Chibiusa and Pegasus, so now we have to do something about the end of that arc to continue... Of course! Let's do a variation on The Snow Queen with Mamoru as Kay, it's not like he's never been kidnapped/brainwashed before." ;_;

Also on the manga/anime differences: the manga was always centered around Usagi/Mamoru, so one explanation of why the 90s anime wound up paying more attention to the rest of the team is that, for various reasons, that central relationship was significantly toned down in it, so it chose to emphasize the senshi friendship instead. But I’m not sure it was worth it, considering Mamoru’s ultimate fate in the anime was to get demoted to a barely useful extra. And people complain about that, too…

I’m going to put these together since I think this is from the same person.

When I saw these in my inbox this morning I was like

But yeah!

Since I’m coming to realized that I think Mamoru is my fave character while Rei is my second. ( Crystal has really bought that out more which I though PGSM would.)

The manga makes him an equal to Usagi which he finally realized his importance to her and his badass powers.(That’s why I’m so pumped for Crystal to go to that arc.) While the 90′s anime, kidnapped him yet again which Usagi have to go through the Sleepy Beauty Regiment to get him back from Elsa’s Grandmama because they didn’t properly wrap up that damn season. ( Altho that arc is so damn good. Yeah I watched that arc but not the rest of Stars.) It’s bad enough that right after that arc is over he’s leaving for america which we don’t know what the hell happen to him until the end of the season.

That’s why I keeping saying that in the manga, it’s the Usa/Mamo show not the Chibi/Helios show at all. The 90′s anime spent that whole season on Chibiusa and Helios which they are there in the manga but not that freaking big. Don’t get me started with the whole Golden Crystal bullshit. You had this whole season looking for the welder of the GC and then it’s really no one but then Chibs and Usa can use it although they are Crystal Carriers already.

In the 90′s anime, it’s almost like after R season, the writers was like “ Welp They are back together and they know their future so we just going to put their relationship in the background, put some cute moments here and there and make him to in perfect cut out boyfriend. But a bf who tells his gf that she needs to get her grades up or no more dates for them..Oh yeah !Still make her very insecure about her realtionship and have her in situation that make her question if she’s good enough for him. ” That’s why when I read the manga it was such a breath of fresh air to get to Infinity arc where they are still working on their relationship and you see it. (cough communication cough) That even through they know they are going to be together they are still young and trying to figure out their own feelings and their partners. When you get to Dream arc it’s like a dream (pun intended) because they know each other better than they know themselves. They are going to protect and hold the other one down regardless of what. ( My pain is your pain ugh!) Also in Dream the girls do get their character development while Usa/Mamo is still focus.  It was also a breath of fresh air for him to have an attack and actually be apart of the team. He is the protector of earth so how the hell he’s not included in senshi meetings deal with his planet being attack constantly?  The 90′s anime still treated him like he’s a mysterious “friend or foe” instead protector of the earth and future husband of the woman who constantly saves it. That’s why it is kind of shock for people who only knows the 90′s anime to see Mamo actually have powers and is very helpful.

and this become a rant.. lol

I’m so excited for dream!

Come on Toei!

Make that announcement!
