Made a pastel friend for my Luna MouseMoth! She has a needle felted head, a sewn body, embroidered wings and antennae, glass eyes, and whiskers from my cat Minnow! (They are naturally shed whiskers that I’ve collected over the years!)
I’ve started to learn how to needle felt. So now I get to make myself cute flower brooches!
I’m hoping to make a set of queer flower brooches. I’ve already done the pansy. I have a violet, green carnation and (once I get more skills) lavender to go. Then I’m on my way to covert queer floral symbolism!
I needle-felted a Spinosaurus! He’s a gift for one of my lecturers. He took around a week to make over the course of two or three months. I used a wire armature, so you can move him pretty much any way you want! I’m definitely thinking of taking commissions/setting up a shop once the academic year’s over.
When the weather improves, I’ll take him outside for a more naturalistic photo shoot.
