It’s that time of year again where EA Sports publishes the same game as the year before for $65 with generally nothing new but an updated roster. The FSU graduate who heads the lead development for the NCAA Football games has again failed to do his research on the Gators roster with a few key points you can tell from the screenshot from E3.
4 of the players that are listed in this “top 10”(#’s 75, 44, 4(bottom), & 21), are not even guaranteed starters, while Gorman(#21) is no where even close to the top of the depth chart at FS.
Dominique Easely (#2) is a DT, not a LE.
Jaylen Watkins(#14) is a Safety, not a Corner Back.
If stud Running Back Matt Jones isn’t a top 10 player on this Gators squad then I don’t know who is. He’s easily better than about 5 of these guys.No disrespect meant to the players I’m referring to, but I mean come on.
While I agree about Kyle Christy(#4-top) being on this list, he’s definitely the top Punter in the nation, I don’t agree with him being better than everyone else on the team.
By this games account, Leon Orr (#44) is the best DT on the team. If it were up to me, he’d probably be 4th.
Of course I am not a Game developer and don’t know what these people have to do to get this game up and ready every year, I’m sure they’re under a ton of stress with deadlines and all that. But this is why roster updates are a godsend.
NCAA Football 14 will bring the atmosphere and intensity of college football Saturday to fans utilizing additions to on-field presentation and a renewed emphasis on the story of each game. Over 500 new on-field vignettes, as well as new on-field player chatter, put fans right in the midst of the action, and evolving insights on key players and drive summaries provide deeper, richer context to each game than ever before.
With the next-gen consoles coming out in a few months, I was expecting EA Sports to stand pat with NCAA Football 14 by releasing a game with little to no improvements.
However, after playing the game I soon realized this wasn’t the case. With the inclusion of the Infinity Engine 2, expanded option playbook, changes to Dynasty mode and the addition of Ultimate Team, EA Sports decided to go all out this year.
There are a few issues preventing NCAA Football 14 from achieving perfection, but overall college football fans are in for a treat with NCAA Football 14.
UPDATE: NCAA Football 14 is expected to be available to download for EA Sports Season Ticket subscribers beginning at 10 AM PT.
