That was the name of our exhibition at “Galleri Lille Kabelvåg” which is our local gallery. Since I had been doing a lot of analog photography throughout the year, I decided that I wanted to use that technique for the exhibition. I spent a few days and nights in the darkroom to choose negatives and produce copies that I wanted to show. It was hard to choose only a few photos, but in the end these are the ones that I wanted to show. They all have different stories and I remember taking each one of them so that is why they mean a lot to me. Unfortunately I couldn’t scan the finished copies of the photos so these are the scanned negatives instead.
From the top:
“Dzieci” - Polish word for Children
“Mörkertid” - Referring to 5th December to 5th January when the sun doesn’t rise in Lofoten.
“Naturfoto” - Name of the course I was attending.
“Zubr” - Polish word for the european bison.
“Unstad” - Most famous surfer village in Lofoten.
“Martin” - My good friend in my class.
As the exhibition was the final project for me, this is also my final upload. I have spent almost a year in this amazing environment and have had photo opportunities I could never dream of. I have learned a lot more about photography than I thought from the beginning too. I have met a lot of people here that I won’t forget about and I have done trips to amazing places with many of them.
My year in Lofoten has been epic and I hope I will be back for a visit in the future.
