Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord from the heavens;
Praise Him in the heights!
Praise Him, all His angels;
Praise Him, all His hosts!
Praise Him, sun and moon;
Praise Him, all stars of light!
Praise Him, highest heavens,
And the waters that are above the heavens!
Let them praise the name of the Lord,
For He commanded and they were created.
He has also established them forever and ever;
He has made a decree which will not pass away.

(Psalm 148:1-6)

Question for the mad scientists: when you’re blaspheming against God and nature by creating twisted hybrids of ordinary animals to do your bidding, how do you decide which animal’s name goes first? Like, what’s the difference between a duckbunny and a bunnyduck?

Soul Purpose of Moon signs

Moon in Aries: To direct intense emotional energies into the mental body so fresh, intuitive ideas can be generated, like a flower springing from wintery darkness. The crisis is channeling confusing emotions into the mind. The moon is ultra spiritually active in Aries

Moon in Taurus: Expressing pure creativity that satisfies material and spiritual desires. Personal emotions have admirable empathy and generate marvellous creativity that shapes the nature of Gods and Goddesses

Moon in Gemini: The mental and altruistic awareness of emotions becomes a gateway for the creation of relationships. The mind is intensely spiritually alert and establishes new harmonic patterns between people

Moon in Cancer: Turning back time, the individual remains partly in past lives. The goal is to materialise a cradle to protect, nourish, and nurture like the Mother Goddess. This is to use the illumination of the moon to radiate pure, unconditional love

Moon in Leo: Self awareness and identity emanates from grandiose emotional activity. Feelings about themselves are based on their opportunity to give and receive love passionately and intensely

Moon in Virgo: Christ inside, the individual is a sacred world server, spirit’s child. The individual activates all vibrations of love on behalf of whole humanity and all of earth’s minerals, plants, and animals

Moon in Libra:  The creation, facilitation, and growth of love and relationships is the Moon in Libra’s soul plan. Bringing and reuniting souls on their journey together. Turns ego-driven need for relationships into spiritual love for all beings

Moon in Scorpio: To resist the ego’s need for isolation and separation. To generate the sacred, healing power of the spiritual self and dissolve destructive and karmic emotional activity and impulsive action. This facilitates soul level transformation

Moon in Sagittarius: The emotional nature is nourished and sustained by physical experience, to wander the temple of earth. The generation of ideas and vision that benefit the collective spirit and body. Submits the physical nature to something higher

Moon in Capricorn: To direct and arrange personal vision and goals from being physically and materially based to wholly spiritual pursuits. To facilitate safety and spiritual nourishment for collective humanity

Moon in Aquarius: Tremendous spiritual responsibility is born with Moon in Aquarius. Powerful, vibrational love is directed into the mind and as a matrix for wider humanity, immersing every soul like air droplets. To dissociate from the bias of human emotion and judgment to radiate the essence of higher beings, angels, pure unconditional love

Moon in Pisces: Powerful soul work is activated with Moon in Pisces. The will of God is bought forth through the vessel of bright, loving illumination. Potent, universal compassion nourishes the soul of the world

People like to talk about Soulsborne protagonists and their superhuman stubbornness, but I think we also have to mention their nigh-suicidal levels of curiosity. Off the top of my head:

Dark Souls - When the Chosen Undead finds a nest belonging to an enormous crow, they decide to curl up like an egg. Luckily, this convinces the crow to transfer them to its other nest.

Dark Souls - The Chosen Undead finds an enormous magic painting, and obviously has to poke it. When they do, a magical vortex begins to pull them into the painting. Despite having several seconds to react, they don’t take their hand away.

Dark Souls - When the Chosen Undead finds what they know full well is the grave of the legendary Artorias the Abysswalker, they can’t help but put their grubby hands on it, which pisses of its ancient and powerful guardian.

Dark Souls - When the Chosen Undead loses their good friend to a cave dwelling parasite, they remove the still living parasite from his corpse and wear it like a hat, since it works as a convenient source of light, evidently assuming that it won’t also infect them.

Dark Souls - The Chosen Undead finds an open sarcophagus in a haunted crypt full of necromancers. Naturally, they decide to take a nap in it. When skeletons carry the sarcophagus deeper underground to the chamber where the God of the Dead resides, the Chosen Undead decides to join his cult and gets a cool sword.

Bloodborne - The Good Hunter touches a beast skull resting on the altar in Yharnam’s Grand Cathedral, which causes them to have a flashback of it’s previous owners memories. Later, in a warped nightmare version of the Grand Cathedral, they find the warped nightmare version of the same skull, and touch it AGAIN. Luckily it’s just the hidden trigger for an elevator, but still.

Bloodborne - In a research hall where the patients have enormous bloated sacs of fluid for heads, the Good Hunter finds a severed still-wriggling head sac. Naturally, they decide to wear it like a hat.

Bloodborne - The Good Hunter goes to loot the corpse of a woman sitting in a chair along in a big room. Unfortunately, she’s still alive, and grabs them, then chastises them ‘a corpse should be left well alone’ and kicks their ass with dual flaming swords. They continue to loot corpses after this incident.

Bloodborne - The Good Hunter finds three pieces of the umbilical cords belonging to ELDER GODS, so naturally, they decide to EAT THEM. As it turns out, this is arguably a good idea, but the Good Hunter has no way of knowing this.

Bloodborne - The Good Hunter finds a note on a door that says ‘don’t come in, hunters not wanted here’ naturally, they go in anyway. A man on a tower threatens them and tells them to leave. They keep exploring. He tells them to leave, and goes so far as to obliterate them with a mounted automatic weapon. For no reason except curiosity, they keep exploring anyway. While hiding from machine gun fire.

Bloodborne - when the Good Hunter finds a corpse frozen in a strange position with it’s arms out, they decide that corpse must know how to communicate with eldritch beings. This insane troll logic happens to be correct.

Dark Souls 3 - In a graveyard, The Ashen One finds an enormous armored man with a coiled sword through him, naturally, they pull it out, which causes him to come alive and attack. Later, when they travel through a shadowy version of the exact same graveyard, they find a shadowy version of the same sword stuck through a shadowy version of the same armored man. They pull it out. Despite all odds, the shadowy armored man comes alive and attacks again.

Dark Souls 3 - In the deepest chamber of the Catacombs of Carthus, there is no sarcophagus or undead king or anything. There’s just a skull goblet on a pedestal. Naturally, the Ashen One pokes it, causing black haze to seep out and flood the room. After a short delay they are warped into The Abyss and attacked by an enormous skeleton.

Dark Souls 3 - In Archdragon Peak, there’s a big lever with several warning signs carved into the floor that say ‘warning: do not pull this lever’. Obviously, the Ashen One pulls the lever, causing a magical thunderstorm and drawing the ire of the Nameless King.

🔥June Correspondences🔥

  • The Strawberry Moon or Rose Moon is June 9th because it’s the peak of the strawberry season.
  • Oak is the symbolic tree; dog roses, ox-eyed daises, and wild orchid are the flowers; yarrow(hollaaa), fennel, and St. John’s wart are the herbs.
  • Colors associated are red, orange, gold, and yellow.

🔮Witchy Ways To Celebrate June🔮

  • Decorate your home or altart with fragrant blossoms, light candles to represent the sun, and let your crystals bathe in the sun. Be careful some crystals will fade in the sun; i.e. flourite, rose quartz, citrine, aventurine, amethyst, aquamarine, and smokey quartz are the main one’s I know of. Opal won’t fade but it can become brittle!
  • Connect with the fae by leaving offerings of milk, honey, or sweet bread. You can also spend this time with nature, fire, or sun gods!
  • Do a purification spell by creating a midsummer fire on Letha(Summer Solstice, June 21st) in a small cauldron or a campfire! Whatever floats your boat. Cast negative feelings and illness aside by throwing a pouch(or just some) herbs in the flames. Make a protective talisman of summer herbs and flowers! Oak leaves are great for protection.
  • Come together with others, either in person or online, to celebrate the longest day of the year. Try to make a connection with a friend.
  • Get out and about, find an oak or holly tree and bow in respect and thanks for all they have to offer our world and to honor them at this time of their yearly battle.
  • Aries ~ I am God when: I open a new world every day like a Storybook
  • Taurus - I am God when: I sink into the temple of the body, moisturize it with gel and self love, create and materialize
  • Gemini - I am God when: I fall into a trance during learning, I write and use my divine voice to inform
  • Cancer - I am God when: I have a baby fall asleep on my chest, I hold an animal, I hear my spirit guide as thought
  • Leo - I am God when: I believe I am God and create
  • Virgo - I am God when: I polish my mind and skills to apply these so to provide a service to others, to perceive the invisible mechanics of nature
  • Libra - I am God when: I am feeling connected and validated, I am radiating love to all people
  • Scorpio - I am God when: I face obliteration and destruction to arise new and emanating gold with divine wisdom
  • Sagittarius - I am God when: I breathe and let nature envelope me
  • Capricorn - I am God when: I stare up at the stars and dream of reaching my aspirations, when I recognise the labor of love

For as long as I can remember, this has been one of my favorite feelings. To be alone in public, wandering at night, or lying close to the earth, anonymous, invisible, floating. To be ‘a man of the crowd,’ or, conversely, alone with Nature or your God. To make your claim on public space even as you feel yourself disappearing into its largesse, into its sublimity. To practice for death by feeling completely empty, but somehow still alive.

Spirit Work Terms

These are some of the terms and definitions that I personally use. They change a lot as I get new info and I didn’t create any of the words lol. Other people have other definitions and I’m not trying to insinuate that mine are the “right” meanings. They’re simply just my thoughts on things.

Spirits: Funny enough, the hardest thing for me to define. I want to say anything that doesn’t exist in the physical realm, aka anything without matter. But there’s a difference between spirits and simply energy and that’s where things get fuzzy. Also, there’s a lot of things that don’t have matter that I wouldn’t consider spirits just because of that such as concepts like justice or things like heat (aka a non woo energy).

Etheric Copy: Also known as the “energy body”. This is actually more so a type of energy that makes up a spirit than the spirit itself but I felt it was worth mentioning. It applies to the spirit that lies within physical beings, living and nonliving and is the energetic form and feeling that their spirit takes. Sometimes the etheric copy isn’t an exact copy of the physical form where one’s etheric copy can have aspects of their astral form, such as wings on a human’s copy.

Entities: Living spirits that are still going about their lives. They can grow, have families, withdraw money from the bank, die, etc. They can be super complex beings or just simple, mindless creatures. The important things are that they can still age and that they don’t have physical bodies.

Ghosts: The spirits of the dead, whether they were originally physical or not. These are the spirits that you’d meet from the bones and remains of earthly organisms but you can also meet ghosts from entities that have passed. Usually hang out in graveyards, places that they used to live, or the respective netherworld of their culture. If you kill an entity, you might still need to deal with their ghost.

[Name] Guardian: A spirit that encompasses many other spirits. For example, a “species spirit” which is a spirit of an entire species of organism, not just an individual, would fall under this. (They aren’t literally made of the individuals that fall under them). I also just sometimes write the name in all caps like COFFEE for Coffee Guardian.

Nonliving Spirits: The spirits of objects. These can have an etheric copy if working with physical objects but it also applies to objects in the nonphysical worlds. Usually are dormant and need an energy input to be “awakened”. They usually like to do what they were made for, examples being hammer spirits that like to hammer, lamps that like to be turned on, etc. On the other hand, some nonliving spirits have the strength of gods but their nonliving nature means that they’re not actively looking for worshipers or to strengthen their power like most true gods (Ex- the Sun and the Moon).

Demons: A “catch-all” term for the diverse group of spirits that usually live in the lower realms of the astral. They also usually work in “darker” magics but there’s some who are “lighter” and others who don’t do any magic. A lot of spirits with different names, appearances, cultures, personalities etc. fit under this broad classification. Think about how we use Kingdom Animalia to describe thousands of species that share only a few characteristics.

Gods: Strong entities with access to power levels and areas of the universe that are inaccessible to humans and other spirits. For example, humans can create life by using their personal will and energy (and perhaps that of spirit allies too) to make thoughtforms and the like whereas gods can create life (and free will from the get go) simply by using the energy from a life-creating domain of the universe. The more connections they have to these domains, the stronger they become. A lot of their strength also comes from worship and its many forms though not all gods are a part of a religion and not all gods interact with humans. They can also form different “aspects” which are like different versions of themselves that are usually influenced by the way their followers worship and work with them. They can create these without influence though it’s not as easy.

Servitors: Simple, mindless spirits that are created from a human’s (can be an entity’s too probably) will and energy. Programmed for one certain task and are fed through the creator’s energy aka their creator giving them attention. The creator can dismantle them and incorporate their energy into new servitors, back into themselves (not recommended), release their energy into the universe, or forget about them so that they disappear into the universe on their own. They lack a mind, free will, personality, emotions, etc. unless they’ve gone rogue. A rogue servitor is one that their creator no longer has full control over and no, that’s not a good thing.

Thoughtforms: Essentially the same thing as a servitor but they’re usually more complex with thoughts, feelings, minds and potentially more than one task programmed into them. Just like servitors, they’re dependent on their creator for food but a properly made thoughtform would have another food source that they can rely on. Initially, they lack knowledge beyond what their creator already knows and free will, however, through experience and interactions with others they can gain both of those things. The only way to know if a TF truly has free will is if they go against the task they were programmed for (a companion TF no longer wants to be a companion, a guardian TF no longer feels the need to guard what they were instructed to, etc.). When they have completed their task, they can be “put to rest” and released into the universe or released as an independent being since they do have the other food source. They can also go rogue if they become independent without their creator’s “permission” and can be dangerous to the creator and others depending on how they gained their independence (*cough* abused/neglected TFs ).

Egregores: Spirits that are created from the will and energy of multiple people. Pop-Culture spirits are the most obvious example but egregores can be created by a small group of people like a coven or just a bunch of friends too. Like thoughtforms and servitors, they are fed by attention and smaller egregores can die if they aren’t given enough attention and don’t have an alternative food source. I find that similar to gods, these usually have “aspects” with different facets depending on how many people were involved in their creation (the more people, the more aspects). They’re more powerful than thoughtforms.

Godforms: Human-created gods. Usually come from extremely successful egregores that obtained the attention and energy of many, many people. I’d say characters like Pikachu or Harry Potter have reached this level or perhaps even the spirit of the USA or McDonald’s. They can also be intentionally created gods like if a group of people began worshiping a being as if they were a god. While egregores are usually controlled in some form by the people that created them, godforms are completely independent and no longer require their attention just to exist. But just like gods, more attention means more power so they probably seek out more “followers” by trying to expand their influence. I don’t know for sure if they have connections to the exclusive domains of the universe that regular gods have but I can see things like the USA godform gaining access to the same domains that war gods have or Pikachu being connected to an electricity domain like Zeus is. Some would argue that all gods are actually godforms but I don’t know enough about the nature and origins of gods to make that judgement. (I’ve seen “megregore” used as a term for a godform that isn’t “religiously” worshiped but I personally don’t differentiate the two).

🍇 🍒 🍓 🍍 🌽
last year i looked at some natural hairstyles and there were many that i thought resembled plants.
i want to do a series of paintings of them - hopefully in the style of vintage portraits if i can pull it off.
some of the comparisons might be reaching on my part but anything to encourage the young and underrepresented (in the media at least).
i believe God created nature and us. and that He loves us all as we are. don’t look to industries to find your worth. we are fearfully and wonderfully made! (psalm 139:14)

Fae vs. Fairy

Alright guys, let’s talk fae (the Celtic version).

There’s a terribly common misconception of what fae/fairy (and pixies) really means. On screen and sometimes even in books fairies are mistakenly shown to be those little winged creatures described as mischievous if not evil. That’s false. Those are actually pixies. The actual Fae (faerie, later fairy) are the mysterious nature spirits possessing magical powers, who look human-like but can also temporarily take up various smaller sizes upon choice.

But where do the Fae start? From the myths and folklore of the ancient Celts. The gods and goddesses of the Celts were many in number, and many unknown, but they were regarded with reverence, as having power and purpose, with various functions in the natural world. These gods were the Tuatha de Dannan, the people of Danu.

But with the arrival of Christianity, this changed, like most Celtic (and other non-Celtic) concepts. They were altered in meaning. Gods and deities of the old pagan ways were demoted to “fairy folk”, to heroes and remorseful warriors that change their faith, to lessen their power. Their pedestal of godhood and aura of mystery was strategically erased. They became enchanters, sorcerers, which obviously had evil connotations in Christian perception. In Daemonologie, King James associated fairies with demonic entities. Eventually even this imagery of the magical enchanters was further demoted to what is now most commonly known as that of the pixies: in other words, something small, harmless, powerless, a troublesome spirit that nobody cares to bother with anymore.

So in this sense, fae/faerie/faery refers to the ancient idea of what they stood for, the original one (gods, Tuatha de Dannan, powerful magical spirits); whereas fairy is the more modern one mistaken for pixies (small, harmless, mischievous).

The 3 “ations” of Spell Casting

A handy trick for spells is by remembering these 3 simple steps before casting them: Visualization, Concentration, and Evocation

Visualization-
Know what you want. Picture your intention clearly. See it like it already happened, and not like it will happen or is happening. Set it in your mind like a truth.

Concentration-

Focus clearly on your desire through the whole spell. Use tools, symbolism, words, herbs, etc. as anchor points in a way to help focus your energy into your intention.

Evocation-

Pull energy out of yourself, or from forces around you like nature, spirits, gods, magical beings, magical tools, the elements, etc. to power your spell. Actions like chanting, dancing, or drum beats can also be used to build and evoke energy.
