Will you still love him, even when he is worn down and old?
Yes, she said, for I will be there to grow old with him
Will you still love him even in his darkest hour?
Yes, she said, for he has been there for mine
Will you stand by him, through thick and through thin?
Yes, she said, for Spartans do not part ways for anything
Will you still love him even if he turns his back on you?
Yes, she said, for my love runs stronger than the most durable of elements
Will he bring you peace?
Yes, she said, for he soothes my very soul with his mere presence
Do Spartans know how to love like that?
Yes, she said, because others showed us how
There is nothing that will destroy or weaken or lessen my love for him. There is nothing that will give me cause to turn my back on him. We will forevermore remain by one another’s sides, right unto the very end.
He is ice, and I am fire. He cooled me down, while I lit him up.
He used his light to pull me out of the darkness; he used his strength and calm to guide me through even the roughest of times. And I, with all my love and support, uplifted him when he was struggling to carry the weight of the galaxy. There is nothing that I would not do for him.
So damn the world,
and damn you too,
for trying so hard to take him away from me.
Even in death, we could not be apart.
