Manet’s “Wintergarden”

Contrary to early reports at the time, Manet’s “In the Conservatory” (also known as “Wintergarden”) was not looted by the Nazis, but had been in the collection of the Berlin National-Galerie until it was moved to the Merkers salt mine for safeguarding.
