A proud Jay Z, captured showing Alicia Keys and Nas pictures of a one-month-old Blue Ivy Carter on his mobile phone, as seen in the TIDAL-exclusive visual for “Glory"—his January 9, 2012-released dedication to his newborn daughter.

The melodic track features an openly-emotional Shawn speaking just one day after witnessing his wife give birth to their first child. Describing Blue as "the most beautiful thing in this world,” he vows to ensure she is forever happy and safe—a stark contrast to his own troubled childhood, which was marred by the departure of his father Adnes “AJ” Reeves when he was “11 or 12.” Famed journalist Touré, writing for TIME magazine, called “Glory” one of the “greatest love songs in hip-hop history.”

Blue’s heartbeat opened the Neptunes-produced track, and she is heard crying at the end of her father’s verses. It was released to radio on January 17, and Blue’s credited feature—tagged as “B.I.C."—meant she became the youngest ever person to appear on the Billboard chart when the track debuted at #63 on the "Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs” chart on January 21. It peaked at #23 on the “Rap Songs” chart.

The February 5, 2012 filmed visual shows Hov and his band rehearsing the track in preparation for his historic charity concert at Carnegie Hall. Hov was the first solo rap act to ever perform at the historic venue, backed by a 40-piece orchestra. The “Glory” rehearsal footage was released as a TIDAL-exclusive on April 16, 2015.
