On 21 May 2016, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania attended the graduation ceremony of Crown Prince Hussein, after completing his university degree in International History at Georgetown University in Washington D.C.

The Crown Prince, who is the eldest son of Their Majesties, was born in Amman on the 28th of June 1994. He was named Crown Prince by a Royal Decree on the 2nd of July 2009.

Queen Rania proudly wrote of this special occasion “A very special day when your first born is graduating from university! What a wonderful journey you have taken us on, Hussein” while the crown prince made the comment of “Closing one chapter and beginning another”
