The narrative of the Zionist movement is that the land of Palestine was a land without people, and that it was a deserted. This was one of the used arguments to start their colonial project in Palestine. These pictures are supposed to be of Palestine from the Ottoman era. Sharing them on the Nakbah Day seems to be a suitable way to remember the people that gave life to houses, cities, and villages in Palestine; the people that got massacred, terrorized, chased out of their homes. The right of return is a right that refuses to be forgotten.
