nachashnechoshet replied to your post: What do you think about the parallels between Euron and Bloodraven? What can they possibly signify?

lol this is a theory?? damn, i thought i had some arcane ones. also, lbr, the cardinal shut-down: Bloodraven is a fascinating, three-dimensional character of whom we all want to know more; Euron is an anime Villain. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I know right? Such a random question.  And, yeah, I kind of want to know what’s behind Euron’s eyepatch, I vaguely wonder about the horn and stuff, but other than that I honestly don’t give a fuck about him.  He’s not quite Darkstar levels of tropes-without-character, but he’s up there.

‘Course, that doesn’t stop him from being a fanboy favorite.  Maybe this was a 4chan theory? I know they’ve got some weird ones.

(Perfect emoticon, btw. My face when.)

asoiaf, of course

1. The first character I first fell in love with ned, as i had feelings baggage about him before i even started reading
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now a bunch, but the award would have to go to aeron greyjoy
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t jon snow, who i find exhausting
4. The character I love that everyone else hates a lot of people find davos boring.  which i understand, because aside the blackwater there’s not a lot of action going on in his chapters for the most part, and he spends a lot of time with stannis, who is stannis.  but that’s not his fault.
5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer i don’t hate tyrion but i find him much more difficult to appreciate after book two.
6. The character I would totally smooch harry the heir :)
7. The character I’d want to be like sansa or catelyn
8. The character I’d slap robb stark makes terrible decisions.  tyrion also falls under this category.
9. A pairing that I love pairing is a strong word for this fandom.  renly/loras would probably be my only actual ship.
10. A pairing that I despise sansa/sandor.  like they have an interesting relationship but.  it’s not endgame, guys.  you are creeping me out.

lol i was just noticing that too. but joff’s idea of a lawn ornament is literally a disemboweled cat (PLEASE HBO THERE IS NO NEED TO FILM THAT) rather than idk pink plastic flamingos, so i guess we should just be thankful it’s not … even more joffy

Oh man, but he has the crossbow! But they’ve moved the scene from the courtyard to the throne room and apparently he’s just threatening to use it on Sansa… so maybe we’ll be spared a courtyard full of dying cats?  ‘Course, we’ll miss the joke that Joffy can’t hit the broad side of a barn, but you know what, I think it’s worth it in this case.

I just thought it was natural pattern in the stone. Do we have S1 pics for comparison?

I don’t offhand (I suppose I could check the caps site I like), but if you take a look at this HQ photo you can distinctly see that there’s bits of dirt and lord knows what else all over the floor, it’s definitely not a natural pattern.  The stain behind her is also definitely not natural, although now that I’m looking at the photo without a gold tint, it might be a bloodstain rather than what I initially thought it was.

Also noticing that Sansa’s wearing Stark colors in this scene… oh man. Oh god.

It’s so great visually - it’s like visual proof of how horrible Joffrey’s rule is. They can’t even keep the throne room in order, let alone seven kingdoms.

Yes. Yes. And now I’m sure that when they have the big “reward the winners/punish the losers” scene in the season finale that Tywin’s horse will most certainly take that huge dump all over the throne room floor just like it did in the books. Because symbolism. (The kind of symbolism that screams I AM SYMBOLIC with a loudspeaker while dancing naked painted with the words SYMBOLISM all over itself, but still. SYMBOLISM.)
