mythic creature

I dunno... Can someone explain? (Genuinely, I'm not being an ass)

I’m trying to be as inclusive and accepting as possible, but there’s some things on this site that I can’t fathom. And I want to understand, if possible…

Like Dragon Kin… I read a post once about a user who was complaining that their mother wouldn’t let them swallow her diamond wedding ring, and another user who said that was literally child abuse because she was starving her kid.

No… letting you swallow something you can possibly choke on is child abuse. What that mother is doing is the complete opposite. If she was locking the kid up and not giving them food and water in an attempt to force a change, that would be different.

And before you complain that I’m against transpeople no I most definitely am not.

But I don’t know what to do with people who want to be cats and mythical creatures and so on… Because that sounds unsafe And dangerous to me (although I guess it depends on how you intend to live with it) ,and my biggest morality is to help prevent people from doing harm to one another and themselves, but my second mortality is to allow people to be themselves…

I mean I feel like maybe some of it is part of the label. The words of woman and man that you are given don’t suit you. It’s like when you hear about the names that your parents might have named you instead. Sometimes you feel an intense revulsion towards that name cause it isn’t you, or an attachment because your current name doesn’t explain you. Because our name is something we wear on our hearts more than almost anything as our identity, made up secondly by our gender, which others view know how to interact with us as much as we engage with others with that identity.

A name can mean so much. And I do not dispute the power of a name. If you want me to call you by something other than society recognizes you as then I respect that wholeheartedly. However, I still feel weird with dragons and elves and other such entities for reasons listed above.

This post is probably a muddled mess, so I apologize. And I genuinely don’t mean to attack anyone, and no doubt I’ll get flack from both sides. But if you are such an entity as a dragonkin or otherkin or otherwise, maybe you could enlighten me?

Bill Bill Bill Bill, Bill Nye the science guy-----science rules 😎😂

I have literally never seen Bill Nye in my entire life and in my mind he is some sort of mythical America creature that chants his own name

What I want is the other world in this world. What I want is the way up and the way down, the way in and the way out. What I want is the poem that rears up like a mythic creature from the dark place of origins, only to transform into the holy, unrepeatable faces of the living. What I want is the mythic wings still thrumming inside them.

Ravi Zupa - Qilin.

Qilin is a mythical hooved chimerical creature known in Chinese and other East Asian cultures, said to appear with the imminent arrival or passing of a sage or illustrious ruler. It is a good omen thought to occasion prosperity or serenity. It is often depicted with what looks like fire all over its body.

According to legends, it is one of 9 sons of a dragon, which can distinguish between good and evil. It is sometimes included in the list of four noble animals, along with the Chinese dragon, phoenix and tortoise. The mention of this mythical animal goes back to the days of Confucius. Back then, it had a more peaceful appearance. When walking, it did not cause any harm even to insects (like the image of the Lamb in Christian mythology). When stepping on the grass it did not crush it. It fed on magic grasses. It could walk on water and fly. Carved on gravestones, it would protect from evil spirits, as well as accompany the dead to heaven. However, over time it changed its appearance and symbolism - once a symbol of peace and gentleness, it also acquired the features of power and strength.

MYTHOLOGY: mermaids

I am a creature of the Fey
Prepare to give your soul away
My spell is passion and it is art
My song can bind a human heart
And if you chance to know my face
My hold shall be your last embrace.

I shall be thy lover…

I am unlike a mortal lass
From dreams of longing I have passed
I came upon your lonely cries
Revealed beauty to your eyes
So shun the world that you have known
And spend your nights within my own.

I shall be thy lover…

You shall be known by other men
For your great works of voice and pen
Yet inspiration has a cost
For with me know your soul is lost
I’ll take your passion and your skill
I’ll take your young life quicker still.

I shall be thy lover…

Through the kisses that I give
I draw from you that I will live
And though you think this weakness grand
The touch of death your lover’s hand
Your will to live has come too late
Come to my arms and love this fate

I shall be thy lover…

I am a creature of the Fey
Prepare to give your soul away
My spell is passion and it is art
My song can bind a human heart
And if you chance to know my face
My hold shall be your last embrace.
